Autoimmune encephalitis is a heterogeneous group of newly identified disorders that are being diagnosed with increasing frequency. Early recognition and treatment of autoimmune encephalitis are crucial for patients, but diagnosis remains challenging and time-consuming. In this retrospective case series, we describe the findings of conventional MR imaging and 3D pseudocontinuous arterial spin-labeling in patients with autoimmune encephalitis confirmed by antibody testing. All patients with autoimmune encephalitis showed increased CBF in the affected area, even when some of them presented with normal or slightly abnormal findings on conventional MR imaging. Additionally, serial 3D pseudocontinuous arterial spin-labeling showed perfusion reduction in 1 patient after therapy. For patients with highly suspected autoimmune encephalitis, 3D pseudocontinuous arterial spin-labeling may be added to the clinical work-up. Further studies and longitudinal data are needed to corroborate whether and to what extent 3D pseudocontinuous arterial spin-labeling improves the diagnostic work-up in patients with autoimmune encephalitis compared with conventional MR imaging.

Background Left ventricular remodeling (LVR) in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) may lead to poor prognosis in which circulating exosome miRNAs play a critical role. The aim of the present study is to identify specific exosome miRNAs for LVR in patients with STEMI. Method Plasma exosome miRNAs were assessed in 20 patients (90% male, mean age of 66.95±1.65 years) 3–6 months after STEMI and 24 healthy individuals (83% male, mean age of 33.2±0.93 years) by using qPCR. Of the 20 patients, 8 had post-STEMI LVR according to echocardiographic evaluation, and the others did not. Clinical biochemical data including total cholesterol, HDL-C, LDL-C, LDH and NT-pro-BNP were collected from the patients with STEMI at same time as exosome miRNAs assessment. Specific exosome miRNAs for LVR were identified by using qPCR. Correlations between the dysregulated exosome miRNAs and the clinical biochemical parameters in patients with STEMI were analyzed using spearman correlation test. Results Five exosome miRNAs including hsa-miR-181a-3p (p Conclusions Circulating exosome miR-181a-3p and let-7d-3p might play a potential role in LVR in patients 3–6 months after STEMI. Exosome hsa-miR-874-3p might be associated with cardiomyocyte injury. Hsa-miR-23a-3p and hsa-miR-224-5p demonstrated an activity in regulation of lipid metabolism and biosynthesis in patients with STEMI. The presence of pollutants such as azo dyes in industrial wastewaters has become a major global problem and has attracted a large number of researchers to find solutions. In present work, a new type of Fe-based amorphous ribbons with Fe72Cu1Co5Si9B13 (at.%) composition were prepared by melt-spinning technique. Its behavior as a catalyst in the as-quenched and annealed sates in decomposing the C32H20N6S4O14Na4 (Direct Blue 6) azo dyes in aqueous solution was investigated in details. It is shown that the ribbon with amorphous structure is the most effective in the degradation of azo dyes and the decolorization rate increases with the increase of reaction temperature and ribbon dosage, but decreases with increasing initial solution pH and concentration of Direct Blue 6. The decolorization process follows a first-order exponential kinetic model with very low activation energy. The amorphous ribbon has good structural stability and no loss of performance after five cycles. This work indicates the enormous potential of Fe72Cu1Co5Si9B13 amorphous ribbon as catalyst in remediation of wastewater contaminated with azo dyes.

Aqueous zinc-ion secondary batteries (ZIBs), especially Zn-MnO2 aqueous battery, have been stirred up widespread concern due to the high capacity, environmental friendliness, and reliable safety performance. However, low conductivity of MnO2 and the dissolution of manganese will hinder its application as cathode material for ZIBs with high rate performance and excellent cycle stability. In this work, α-MnO2/rGO nanowires were coated with conductive polypyrrole via in situ self-polymerization. As used as cathode material for ZIBs, α-MnO2/rGO-PPy shows the reversible capacity of 248.8 mAh g−1 at 0.5 A g−1 and still achieves 213.8 mAh g−1 after 100 cycles, demonstrating much enhanced performance compared with α-MnO2/rGO and α-MnO2. The excellent performances should be due to the polypyrrole coating and incorporation of reduced graphene oxide, which not only alleviate the dissolution of Mn but also improve the conductivity of the whole electrode.

The immobilization of enzymes is always an important factor that limits the development of biosensors. Especially for optical fiber biosensors, it is usually necessary to modify the surface of the optical fiber through complex chemical reactions so that enzymes can be attached to the surface firmly. In this article, we used the enzyme immobilization method of electrospinning on the optical fiber sensor for the first time. The detection of glucose was realized by using electrospinning to fix a layer of crosslinked polyvinyl alcohol nanofibers that encapsulated glucose oxidase on the surface of the side-polished D-shape optical fiber. The experimental results show that the sensitivity of the designed sensor is 1.875dB/(mg/ml) when the glucose concentration range is 0mg/ml~4mg/ml. The electrospinning method of optical fiber enzyme immobilization is very promising and can be used to rapidly develop more other types of optical fiber biosensors.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effects of hepatitis B virus (HBV) on helper T lymphocytes 17 (Th17), regulatory T lymphocyte (Treg) and Th17/Treg ratio in chronic hepatitis B patients in different alanine aminetransferase (ALT) stages. METHODS: In the study, 336 chronic hepatitis B patients in the first hospital of Lanzhou University were analyzed. The hepatitis B antigen antibody parameters were measured by chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer, the liver function parameters were measured by automatic biochemical analyzer, the HBV loads were measured by quantitative PCR, Th17, Treg and Th17/Treg ratios were detected by flow cytometry. Among them, 111 cases (ALT < 40 U/L) of ALT were normal hepatitis B, 108 cases of chronic hepatitis B with ALT above normal upper limit and < 2 times higher (40 U/L≤ALT < 80 U/L), and 117 cases of chronic hepatitis B with ALT above 2 times normal upper limit (80 U/L≤ALT). According to the viral load, they were divided into low replication group with HBV DNA < 4.0 lg copies/mL, medium replication group with 4.0 lg copies/mL≤HBV DNA < 6.0 lg copies/mL and high replication group with HBV DNA ≥ 6.0 lg copies / mL. Dunnett T3 variance analysis were used to analyze the effects of HBV on Th17, Treg and Th17/Treg ratio in the chronic hepatitis B patients in different ALT stages. The changes of virological and immunological indexes before and after treatment were observed for 24 weeks of antiviral therapy in the hepatitis B patients with ALT≥double upper limit of normal group. RESULTS: In the ALT normal group, different virus load HBV had minor effects on Th17, Treg and Th17/Treg ratio. In the ALT≥2 times upper limit of normal group, with the virus load increased, Th17 (3.18%±0.79% in low replication group, 3.78%±0.92% in medium replication group and 4.57%±1.15% in high replication group), Treg cells (5.52%±1.58% in low replication group, 5.89%±1.84% in medium replication group and 6.37%±2.35% in high replication group) and their ratio Th17/Treg (0.57±0.25 in low replication group, 0.65±0.29 in medium replication group and 0.73±0.36 in high replication group) were significantly increased (P < 0.05). After entecavir treatment 24 weeks, the patient' s HBV-DNA decreased significantly, Th17 (3.89%±1.02% vs. 2.06%±0.46%), Treg (6.02%±2.03% vs. 5.06%±1.25%), Th17/Treg ratio (0.65±0.28 vs. 0.41±0.14) decreased significantly (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Investigation on the effects of HBV on Th17 and Treg cells and their ratios in different ALT states can clarify the effects of HBV on the body from the immunological perspective and can further understand the ALT grouping for antiviral treatment theoretical significance, which is helpful for clinical treatment.

We present experimental studies on the spatial distribution of charged particles using a linearly polarized femtosecond laser interacting with a micro-structure target composed of micro-tube structure and planar foil. For protons, a six-lobed structure was observed in the low-energy region, while a smaller angular divergence was measured in the high-energy region. Electron distribution exhibits a circular distribution at low energies and double-lobed structure at high energies. These results are well reproduced by 3D particle-in-cell simulations, showing that the profile of electrons driven by a laser pulse is manipulated by the micro-tube structure, which maps into the spatial distribution of protons via a strong charge separation field. These results demonstrate the effect of micro-structures on laser-driven particle sources and provide a possible approach for spatial manipulation of the particle beams.

The stress caused by sound is inevitable. The stress caused by noise and the positive effects of music can affect the endocrine of animals and their welfare. In this study, a total of 72 hybrid piglets (Large White × Duroc × Min pig) were randomly divided into 3 groups, including music (Mozart K.448, 60-70 dB), noise (recorded mechanical noise, 80-85 dB), and control (natural background sound,40 dB) groups. S-IgA (secretory immunoglobulin A), IL-6 (interleukin-6), IL-8 (interleukin-8), and positive emotion-related behaviors were used as indicators to discuss whether noise induced stress and inflammation in piglets or whether music could have positive effects. Six hours of auditory exposure were given daily (10:00-16:00), which lasted for 56 days. Behavioral responses of the piglets were observed, and the concentrations of salivary S-IgA and serum IL-6 and IL-8 were measured. The results showed that the concentration of S-IgA increased in the noise and control groups on the 57th day (P0.05); S-IgA concentration in the music group was unchanged after long-term music exposure. The concentrations of IL-6 and IL-8 showed that long-term noise exposure might lead to stress and inflammation in piglets. Tail-wagging and play behaviors of the piglets in the music group were significantly greater than those in the noise and control groups, which implied that long-term music exposure improved the emotional state of the piglets in a restricted and barren environment.

As a novel X-ray focusing technology, lobster eye micro-pore optics (MPO) feature both a wide observing field of view and true imaging capability, promising sky monitoring with significantly improved sensitivity and spatial resolution in soft X-rays. Since first proposed by Angel (1979), the optics have been extensively studied, developed and trialed over the past decades. In this Letter, we report on the first-light results from a flight experiment of the Lobster Eye Imager for Astronomy ($LEIA$), a pathfinder of the wide-field X-ray telescope of the Einstein Probe mission. The piggyback imager, launched in July 2022, has a mostly un-vignetted field of view of $18.6^\circ \times 18.6^\circ $. Its spatial resolution is in the range of 4$-$7 arcmin in FWHM and the focal spot effective area is 2$-$3 cm$^2$, both showing only mild fluctuations across the field of view. We present images of the Galactic center region, Sco X-1 and the diffuse Cygnus Loop nebular taken in snapshot observations over 0.5$-$4 keV. These are truly wide-field X-ray images of celestial bodies observed, for the first time, by a focusing imaging telescope. Initial analyses of the in-flight data show excellent agreement between the observed images and the on-ground calibration and simulations. The instrument and its characterization are briefly described, as well as the flight experiment. In this paper, ultrasonic-vibration assisted electrical discharge machining (UEDM) is used to process SiCp/Al composite materials in order to achieve a higher material removal rate (MRR) and lower surface roughness, width overcut, and relative tool wear rate (RTWR). FLUENT software was used to simulate the gap flow field. The simulation results of the gap flow field show that the ultrasonic vibration of the tool electrode is conducive to the removal of chips, which makes the discharge more stable and improves the machining efficiency. Based on the single factor experiment, the effects of peak current, reference voltage, pulse width, and pulse interval on MRR, surface roughness, width overcut, and RTWR of the workpiece are studied. Then, based on the orthogonal experiment, the grey relational analysis method was used to optimize the process parameters, and the order of the influence of the 4 process indicators on the comprehensive performance and the optimal processing parameter combination was obtained. The reliability of the process optimization was verified with experiments.

Sparse representation-based methods, as an important branch of anomaly detection (AD) technologies for hyperspectral imagery (HSI), have attracted extensive attention. How to construct an overcomplete background dictionary containing all background categories and excluding anomaly signatures is the focus. Traditional background dictionary construction methods first convert HSI into a two-dimensional matrix composed of independent spectral vectors, and then execute the subsequent construction operations. In this way, only spectral anomalies can be excluded from the background dictionary, whereas spatial anomalies still exist. To alleviate this problem, this paper proposes a novel AD algorithm through sparse representation with tensor decomposition-based dictionary construction and adaptive weighting. It has three main advantages. First, tensor representation allows the spectral and spatial characteristics of HSI to be preserved simultaneously, and Tucker decomposition achieves excellent separation between the background part and anomaly part by distinguishing them along three modes. Second, the $K$ -means++ clustering operation is implemented on the background part so that the background dictionary used for sparse representation contains all background categories. Finally, an adaptive weighting matrix derived from the anomaly part further improves the distinction between background pixels and anomalies. Experiments on synthetic and real HSI datasets demonstrate the superiority of our proposed algorithm.

Rotating electrodes can effectively improve the processing performance of micro-electrical discharge machining (micro-EDM), but there is still a lack of systematic research on the specific effects of electrode rotation and rotational speed changes. In this paper, the effects of electrode rotation and rotational speed on the discharge channel, debris stress, and debris motion in micro-EDM were analyzed theoretically. An AISI304 sheet was used as the workpiece and helical tungsten carbide alloy as the electrode. The through-hole drilling experiments of micro-EDM were carried out at low and high discharge energy and different electrode rotational speeds. In terms of processing efficiency, the effects of electrode rotation and rotational speed on material removal rate (MRR), relative tool wear ratio (RTWR), and short circuit number were analyzed. The results show that MRR increases first and then decreases, RTWR and short circuit number decrease first and then increase. In the aspect of processing precision, the impacts of electrode rotation and rotational speed on taper angle and overcut were analyzed. The results show that the electrode rotational speed has little effect on the change of the taper angle. In addition, when the electrode rotational speed is small, there is no obvious change in overcut. When the speed is too high, the overcut increases obviously and shows a trend of continuous increase. Finally, by comparing the experimental results, the optimal electrode rotational speeds of micro-EDM with two kinds of discharge energy were determined. The final experimental results also verify the correctness of the previous theoretical analysis.

A fiber-optics tapered sensor that is covered by an electrospinning polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) nanofiber film, is demonstrated to measure humidity and temperature simultaneously. A section multi-mode fiber (MMF) was sandwiched between two leading-in and out single mode fibers (SMFs), which was further tapered down to 29 μm to promote the humidity sensitivity of the sensor. A thin layer of electrospinning PVA nanofiber film was uniformly coated on the MMF taper region by electrospinning technology. In order to promote the humidity sensitivity and mechanical strength of electrospinning nanofibers, the carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were mixed into PVA to formed PVA/CNTs composite nanofiber film. A Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) was cascaded with the humidity sensing fiber to monitor the ambient temperature simultaneously. The addition of CNTs effectively eliminated the cracks on the electrospinning nanofiber and made it more uniform and smoother. As experimental results show, the humidity sensitivity of the sensor with PVA/CNTs film was 0.0484 dB/%RH, an improvement of 31.16% compared to that of the sensor with PVA film, for which sensitivity is 0.0369 dB/%RH. The nanofiber humidity-sensitive film constructed using electrospinning had a satisfactory humidity response, special 3D structure and extensive application prospect.

This study aims to survey medical staff's acceptance of online Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) during the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia (NCP), and to know some information of physical and emotional response of those medical staff who worked at the forefront of COVID-19, through the playback amount of the online MBSR training.Considering the working environment of medical staff in forefront of NCP, we designed and recorded MBSR audio album including 13 sessions, covering 24 hours of a day, then sent the album to medical staff who had been working in Wuhan, Hubei province, China. We collected the playback amount in each session on February 10th and February 24th, which were one week and three weeks after the album was finished.On February 10th and February 24th, there were separately 5778 and 10640 times of broadcasting. The highest broadcasting frequency session was at 5:00 am, followed by 7:00 am. The least broadcasting frequency sessions were 17:00 pm and 19:00 pm. The broadcasting amount in the 6 periods of the night (from 21:00 pm to 7:00 am) was significantly higher than those in the daytime (from 9:00 am to 19:00 pm), with a statistical difference. The tendency of the amount of playback was consistent, which was not affected by the specific content of the mindfulness exercises.Online MBSR exercises were well accepted by medical staff in the COVID-19. It may help them relax and reduce the risk of stress reactions. During the NCP, medical staff may have different degrees of sleep and emotional problems, which need to be paid more attention to.

In order to address the present difficulty in experimentally generating the relativistic Laguerre-Gaussian laser, primarily due to damage caused to optical modulators, a high-reflectivity phase mirror is applied in the femtosecond petawatt laser system to generate a relativistic hollow laser at the highest intensity of $6.3\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{19}\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{W}/{\mathrm{cm}}^{2}$ for the first time. A simple optical model is used to verify that the vortex laser may be generated in this new scheme; using such a relativistic vortex laser, the hollow plasma drill and acceleration are achieved experimentally and proven by particle-in-cell simulations. With the development of the petawatt laser, this scheme opens up possibilities for the convenient production of the relativistic hollow laser at high repetition and possible hollow plasma acceleration, which is important for a wide range of applications such as the generation of radiation sources with orbital angular momentum, fast ignition for inertial confinement fusion, and jet research in the astrophysical environment.

Recently, the role of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) in tumor progression has attracted much attention worldwide. Numerous studies have identified lncRNA PROX1-AS1 as an oncogene in cancers. Therefore, the aim of this research was to explore the function of PROX1-AS1 in the development of ovarian cancer.PROX1-AS1 expression in both ovarian cancer patients and normal subjects was detected by quantitative Real Time-Polymerase Chain Reaction (qRT-PCR). Subsequently, PROX1-AS1 shRNA was constructed and transfected in vitro. 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay, colony formation assay, transwell assay, and Matrigel assay were utilized to detect the function of PROX1-AS1 in ovarian cancer. In addition, the potential mechanism was explored using qRT-PCR and Western blot assay.PROX1-AS1 was highly expressed in ovarian carcinoma samples and cell lines (p0.05). The proliferation, migration, and invasion of ovarian cells were significantly inhibited after PROX1-AS1 was downregulated in vitro (p0.05). Besides, the mRNA and protein expressions of KLF6 were significantly promoted after PROX1-AS1 knockdown in ovarian cancer cells (p0.05). Further functional assays showed that KLF6 expression was negatively correlated with PROX1-AS1 expression in ovarian cancer samples.PROX1-AS1 enhances the metastasis and proliferation of ovarian cancer cells via suppressing KLF6. Our findings suggest that PROX1-AS1 may be applied as a novel target for therapy of ovarian cancer.

In the aviation industry, flexural distortion of thin-walled aeronautic parts after machining processes is inevitable, especially for high-strength aluminum alloy. To satisfy the accuracy requirement for subsequent assembly processes, the distorted parts have to be corrected. Bilateral rolling operation has been proved to be an effective method for correcting the flexural distortion. However, this method is generally based on trial and error, and the quality of distortion correcting cannot be guaranteed. To solve this problem, finite element method (FEM) was first adopted to investigate the distortion feature after bilateral rolling process for T-shaped structures. The relationship between processing parameters and maximum deflection was then studied. An equivalent bending moment method was proposed to represent the effects of bilateral rolling on micro-plastic deformation and residual stresses. Besides, a theoretical model was established for distortion prediction. Furthermore, based on simulation results, the calculation formula of the equivalent load was deduced. Finally, the theoretical model and the equivalent bending moment method were verified by rolling correction experiments, which were used to calculate the rolling correcting load (rolling depth). The results show that the average reduction rate of deflection is 73.5%. This paper provides an effective theoretical model for predicting the correction load in rolling correction process for thin-walled aeronautic parts.

A new type of Ce-promoted Ni catalyst with KIT-1 as the support is prepared by using a sol-gel method. The catalyst exhibits excellent catalytic activity and superior stability in CO2 reforming of methane (CH4/CO2 reforming) reaction. Effects of CeO2 and KIT-1 with wormlike pore structure on catalytic activity are investigated by N2-physisorption, XRD, H2-TPR and TG techniques. The results indicate that the wormlike pore structure of KIT-1 is in favor of the high dispersion of metallic particles, and the doping of CeO2 promotes the dispersion of Ni particles on the surface of support, which inhibits the agglomeration and sintering of active particles in CH4/CO2 reforming reaction. Moreover, carbon deposition on the surface of the catalysts decreases obviously due to the introduction of CeO2. Experimental results during CH4/CO2 reforming show that the catalyst presented better catalytic performance than other Ni-based catalysts at 700°C and a gas hourly space velocity (GHSV) of 32 L gcat –1 h–1, which is attributed to better textural property of KIT-1, better dispersion of active species, and lower carbon deposition. Especially, 6% Ce-NiO/KIT-1 shows the best catalytic activity among the series of catalysts prepared in this experiment.

Translational medicine refers to translating basic research achievements into the clinical application for diagnosis and treatment. There are still many issues of gastric cancer to be solved in clinical diagnosis and treatment. We need to focus on clinical questions, by means of basic research and multidisciplinary intersection approach, to further improve the overall efficacy of gastric cancer. Based on Ruijin Hospital's translational research experiences, in this paper, the authors describe the future direction in the field of translational research, such as the etiology and pathogenesis of gastric cancer, tumor markers for early diagnosis, prediction of recurrence and metastasis, classification criteria, evaluation of chemotherapy, tumor heterogeneity, targeted therapy, immunotherapy and research platform establishment. In addition, here we share our perspective of the research on serum biomarkers, specific antibodies and improvement of drug delivery for gastric cancer.转化医学是指将医学生物学基础研究成果迅速有效地转化为可在临床实际应用的理论、技术、方法和药物。目前胃癌的临床诊治仍存在很多问题需要解决，如何以临床急需解决的问题为出发点，以提高患者诊疗效果为宗旨，以基础研究为基本手段，以多学科交叉融合为途径，加强转化医学研究，是进一步提高胃癌总体疗效的关键所在。本文从瑞金医院团队转化研究经验出发，对胃癌的病因与发病机制、早期诊断的肿瘤标志物、复发转移的预测、分型标准、化疗评估、肿瘤异质性、靶向治疗、免疫治疗及研究平台的建立等目前胃癌转化医学研究的重点发展方向进行了介绍，并就胃癌血清标志物、胃癌特异性抗体研究以及改善胃癌药物输送手段等转化研究，分享作者的看法。.
