Abstract: We have studied the vector to pseudoscalar conversion decay ϕ→ηe+e−, with η→π0π0π0, with the KLOE detector at DAΦNE. The data set of 1.7 fb−1 of e+e− collisions at s∼Mϕ contains a clear conversion decay signal of ∼31,000 events from which we measured a value of BR(ϕ→ηe+e−)=(1.075±0.007±0.038)×10−4. The same sample is used to determine the transition form factor by a fit to the e+e− invariant mass spectrum, obtaining bϕη=(1.28±0.10−0.08+0.09) GeV−2, that improves by a factor of five the precision of the previous measurement and is in good agreement with VMD expectations. Abstract: The absolute branching ratio of the K+→π+π−π+(γ) decay, inclusive of final-state radiation, has been measured using ∼17 million tagged K+ mesons collected with the KLOE detector at DAΦNE, the Frascati ϕ-factory. The result is:BR(K+→π+π−π+(γ))=0.05565±0.00031stat±0.00025syst a factor ≃ 5 more precise with respect to the previous result. Abstract: The muon anomalous magnetic moment is one of the most precisely measured quantities in particle physics and a persistent discrepancy of about 3 σ between standard model (SM) prediction and the experimental measurement has been observed. The leading order contribution aμhlo is actually the main source of uncertainty in the theoretical evaluation of the muon anomaly. It is obtained by a dispersion integral using the precision measurement of hadronic cross section. The KLOE experiment at the DAΦNE ϕ−factory in Frascati was the first to exploit Initial State Radiation (ISR) processes to obtain the e+e−→π+π−(γ) cross section below 1 GeV, that accounts for most (70%) of the leading order contribution to the muon anomaly. In year 2005 and 2008 the KLOE-collaboration has published two measurements of the π+π− cross section with the photon in the initial state emitted at small angle, and an independent measurement with the photon emitted at large angle was finalized in year 2011. These measurements were normalized using luminosity from Bhabha. In the last years, a new analysis of KLOE data has been performed for obtaining the pion form factor directly from the bin-by-bin π+π−γ to μ+μ−γ ratio. We present the results of this new measurement, showing the comparison with our previous measurements, and its impact on the hadronic contribution to the muon anomaly.

Abstract: We have carried out a new direct search for the CP violating decay K-S -> 3 pi(0) with 1.7 fb(-1) of e(+)e(-) collisions collected by the KLOE detector at the Phi-factory DA Phi NE. We have searched for this decay in a sample of about 5.9 x 10(8) KSKL events tagging the K-S by means of the K-L interaction in the calorimeter and requiring six prompt photons. With respect to our previous search, the analysis has been improved by increasing of a factor four the tagged sample and by a more effective background rejection of fake K-S tags and spurious clusters. We find no candidates in data and simulated background samples, while we expect 0.12 standard model events. Normalizing to the number of K-S -> 2 pi(0) events in the same sample, we set the upper limit on BR(K-S -> 3 pi(0))

Abstract: We have measured the ratio cr (e(+)e(-) -> pi(+)pi(-)gamma)/sigma(e(+)e(-) -> mu(+)mu(-)gamma), with the KLOE detector at DA Phi NE for a total integrated luminosity of similar to 240 pb(-1). From this ratio we obtain the cross section sigma (e(+)e(-) -> pi(+)pi(-)gamma). From the cross section we determine the pion form factor vertical bar F-pi vertical bar(2) and the two-pion contribution to the muon anomaly a(mu) for 0.592< M-pi pi < 0.975 GeV, Delta(pi pi) a(mu) = (385.1 +/- 1.1(stat) +/- 2.7(sys+theo)) x 10(-10). This result confirms the current discrepancy between the Standard Model calculation and the experimental measurement of the muon anomaly. (c) 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Abstract: The ratio R-eta = Gamma(eta -> pi(+)pi(-)gamma)/Gamma(eta -> pi(+)pi(-)pi(0)) has been measured by analysing 22 million phi -> eta gamma decays collected by the KLOE experiment at DANE, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 558 pb(-1). The eta -> pi(+)pi(-)gamma proceeds both via the rho resonant contribution, and possibly a non-resonant direct term, connected to the box anomaly. Our result, R-eta = 0.1856 +/- 0.0005(stat)+/- 0.0028(syst), points out a sizable contribution of the direct term to the total width. The di-pion invariant mass for the eta -> pi(+)pi(-)gamma decay could be described in a model-independent approach in terms of a(-) single free parameter, alpha. The determined value of the parameter alpha is alpha = (1.32 +/- 0.08(stat-0.09syst)(+0.10) +/- 0.02(theo)) GeV-2. 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Abstract: The existence of a light dark force mediator has been tested with the KLOE detector at DAPHNE. This particle, called U, is searched for using the decay chain phi-->etaU, eta-->pi+pi-pi0, U-->e+e-. No evidence is found in 1.5 fb-1 of data. The resulting exclusion plot covers the mass range 5, Comment: 13 pages, 8 figures

One of the first analysis items is the study of the f radiative decays, which allows us to investigate the nature of light pseudoscalar and scalar mesons. An integrated luminosity of 100 pb−1 is expected for next KLOE run, resulting in 3 × 108 f collected. A detailed simulation and full event reconstruction of both signal and background events indicates a sensitivity reach of 1 ÷ 2% on the branching ratios. Some preliminary studies on real data are also presented, showing a good agreement with MonteCarlo distributions

Abstract: We report the first observation of the rare η → e + e − e + e − ( γ ) decay based on 1.7 fb − 1 collected by the KLOE experiment at the DAΦNE ϕ-factory. The selection of the e + e − e + e − final state is fully inclusive of radiation. We have identified 362 ± 29 events resulting in a branching ratio of ( 2.4 ± 0.2 stat + bckg ± 0.1 syst ) × 10 − 5 .

Abstract: We have studied the ϕ → a 0 ( 980 ) γ process with the KLOE detector at the Frascati ϕ-factory DAΦNE by detecting the ϕ → η π 0 γ decays in the final states with η → γ γ and η → π + π − π 0 . We have measured the branching ratios for both final states: Br ( ϕ → η π 0 γ ) = ( 7.01 ± 0.10 ± 0.20 ) × 10 − 5 and ( 7.12 ± 0.13 ± 0.22 ) × 10 − 5 , respectively. We have also extracted the a 0 ( 980 ) mass and its couplings to η π 0 , K + K − , and to the ϕ meson from the fit of the η π 0 invariant mass distributions using different phenomenological models.

Abstract: "We have carried out a new direct search for the CP violating decay KS→3π0 with 1.7 fb−1 of e+e− collisions collected by the KLOE detector at the Φ-factory DAΦ NE. We have searched for this decay in a sample of about 5.9×108KSKL events tagging the KS by means of the KL interaction in the calorimeter and requiring six prompt photons. With respect to our previous search, the analysis has been improved by increasing of a factor four the tagged sample and by a more effective background rejection of fake KS tags and spurious clusters. We find no candidates in data and simulated background samples, while we expect 0.12 standard model events. Normalizing to the number of KS→2π0 events in the same sample, we set the upper limit on BR(KS→3π0)⩽2.6×10−8 at 90% C.L., five times lower than the previous limit. We also set the upper limit on the η000 parameter, |η000|⩽0.0088 at 90% C.L., improving by a factor two the latest direct measurement.. . . "

Abstract: We present a measurement of the branching ratio of the CP violating decay K L → π + π − performed by the KLOE experiment at the ϕ factory DAΦNE. We use 328 pb −1 of data collected in 2001 and 2002, corresponding to ∼150 million tagged K L mesons. We find BR ( K L → π + π − ) = ( 1.963 ± 0.012 stat . ± 0.017 syst . ) × 10 −3 . This branching ratio measurement is fully inclusive of final-state radiation. Using the above result, we determine the modulus of the amplitude ratio | η + − | to be ( 2.219 ± 0.013 ) × 10 −3 and | ϵ | to be ( 2.216 ± 0.013 ) × 10 −3 .

Abstract: From a sample of about 10 9 ϕ mesons produced at DAΦNE, we have selected K L mesons tagged by observing K S → π + π − decays. We present results on the major K L branching ratios, including those of the semileptonic decays needed for the determination of | V u s | . These branching ratio measurements are fully inclusive with respect to final-state radiation. The K L lifetime has also been measured.

Abstract: We have measured the branching ratio BR(phi-->pi(0)pi(0)gamma) with the KLOE detector using a sample of similar to5x10(7) phi decays. phi mesons are produced at DAPhiNE, the Frascati phi-factory. We find BR(phi-->pi(0)pi(0)gamma) = (1.09+/-0.03(stat)+/-0.05(syst)) x 10(-4). We fit the two-pion mass spectrum to models to disentangle contributions from various sources. Abstract: We have measured the cross section σ ( e + e − → π + π − γ ) at an energy W = m ϕ = 1.02 GeV with the KLOE detector at the electron–positron collider DA Φ NE . From the dependence of the cross section on the invariant mass of the two-pion system, we extract σ ( e + e − → π + π − ) for the mass range 0.35 s 0.95 GeV 2 . From this result, we calculate the pion form factor and the hadronic contribution to the muon anomaly, a μ .

Abstract: The main aim of the KLOE experiment at DA Phi NE, the Frascati phi -factory, is to study CP violation in the K-0-(K) over bar (0) system. Requirements on shower detection are very stringent. An hermetic, lead-scintillating fiber sampling calorimeter has been chosen and built. A review of the methods used to calibrate and reconstruct energy and timing is reported in this paper. Emphasis is given to the calibration procedures developed using the 2.4 pb(-1) collected in 1999. An energy resolution of 5.7% rootE/GeV is achieved together with a linearity in energy response better than 1% above 50 MeV. A time resolution of similar to 54 ps/ rootE/GeV is also measured on samples of radiative Bhabha and Phi decays. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. Ail rights reserved.

Abstract: A sample of 5.3 × 10 7 φ mesons, produced at the Frascati φ-factory DAΦNE, has been used by the KLOE Collaboration to study the φ radiative decays. The decays φ → ηπ 0 γ and φ → π o π o γ have been exploited to study the scalar mesons a o (980) and f o (980). Furthermore a new determination of the η − η′ mixing angle has been obtained from the measurement of the ratio of the decay rates of / gf → η ′ γ to φ → ηγ .

Abstract: The KLOE experiment has been collecting data since April 1999 at the DAΦNE e+-e− collider at a center of mass energy equal to the o-meson mass. A total amount of 5 × 107 o decays have been analyzed. Results concerning the measurement of the semileptonic branching ratio of the KS, the measurement of the ratio BR(KS → π+π−)BR(KS → π0π0) and the study of the radiative decays of the o involving η, η′, ƒ0(980) and a0(980) are presented.

Abstract: The KLOE experiment at the DAΦNE e+e− collider and its physics program is presented. The most recent results obtained using the data collected during the year 2000 (about 20 pb−1) are presented, in particular the ratio of branching ratios BR(KS → π+π−)/BR(Ks → π0π0), the branching ratio for the Ke3 decay of the KS, the ratio BR(φ → η′γ)/BR(φ → ηγ) and the pseudoscalar mixing angle ϕP, and the branching ratios for the decays φ → f0γ and φ → a0γ.

Abstract: We have measured the cross section sigma(e(+)e(-) -> pi(+)pi(-)gamma(gamma)) at DA Phi NE, the Frascati phi-factory, using events with initial state radiation photons emitted at small angle and inclusive of final state radiation. We present the analysis of a new data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 240 pb(-1). We have achieved a reduced systematic uncertainty with respect to previously published KLOE results. From the cross section we obtain the pion form factor and the contribution to the muon magnetic anomaly from two-pion states in the mass range 0.592 < M(pi pi) < 0.975 GeV. For the latter we find Delta(pi pi)a(mu) = (387.2 +/- 0.5(stat) +/- 2.4(exp) +/- 2.3(th)) x 10(-10).

Abstract: We present the KLOE measurements on KS , KL , K �� semileptonic decays from which we find |Vus | = 0.2237(13). From the KLOE measurement of BR(K+�� + �� ) we obtain |Vus & Vud | = 0.2323(15). An overall fit gives |Vus | = 0.2249(10) and |Vud | = 0.97417(26), compatible with unitarity: 1- (V 2 ud + V 2 us +-4 . V 2 ub ) = (4 �� 7) �� 10

Abstract: Using a sample of over 600 million phi->K+K- decays collected at the Dafne e+e- collider, we have measured with the KLOE detector the absolute branching ratios for the charged kaon semileptonic decays, K+/- -> p0 e nu (gamma) (Ke3) and K+/- -> p0 mu nu (gamma) (Kmu3). The results, BR(Ke3) = 0.04965 +/- 0.00038_{stat} +/- 0.00037_{syst} and BR(Kmu3) = 0.03233 +/- 0.00029_{stat} +/- 0.00026_{syst}, are inclusive of radiation. Accounting for correlations, we derive the ratio Kmu3/Ke3 = 0.6511+/-0.0064. Abstract: An integrated luminosity of 410 pb-1, corresponding to �� 17 million of �� events, has been analyzed to measure the �� mass using the decay �� . The measurement is insensitive to the calorimeter energy calibration and the systematic error on the measurement is dominated by the uniformity of the detector response. As a cross check of the method the ��0 mass from the decay �� 0, ��0 �� has been measured and it is in agreement with the most accurate previous determinations. The result obtained is m �� = 547.873��0.007stat. ��0.031syst. MeV, that is today best measurement of the �� mass.

Abstract: We have measured the ratio R ϕ = BR ( ϕ → η ′ γ ) / BR ( ϕ → η γ ) by looking for the radiative decays ϕ → η ′ γ and ϕ → η γ into the final states π + π − 7 γ and 7γ, respectively, in a sample of ∼ 1.4 × 10 9 ϕ mesons produced at the Frascati ϕ factory. We obtain R ϕ = ( 4.77 ± 0.09 stat ± 0.19 syst ) × 10 −3 , from which we derive BR ( ϕ → η ′ γ ) = ( 6.20 ± 0.11 stat ± 0.25 syst ) × 10 −5 . Assuming the η ′ has zero gluonium content, we extract the pseudoscalar mixing angle in the quark-flavor basis, φ P = ( 41.4 ± 0.3 stat ± 0.7 syst ± 0.6 th ) ° . Combining the value of R ϕ with other constraints, we estimate the fractional gluonium content of the η ′ to be Z 2 = 0.14 ± 0.04 and the mixing angle to be φ P = ( 39.7 ± 0.7 ) ° .

Abstract: The KLOE detector, mainly designed to measure the R ( ϵ′ ϵ ) parameter of CP violation in KL decay to an absolute precision of ≈ 10−4, is completed and will start data taking by spring 1999 at the e+ e− Φ-factory DAΦNE in Frascati. The primary K-meson physics and the experimental requirements at DAΦNE are summarized. The design strategies, the salient features and the main physics performances of all components of the experimental apparatus are reviewed.

Abstract: We present a measurement of the K-pi vector current form-factor parameters for the decay K-L -> pi(+/-)e(-/+)nu. We use 328 pb(-1) of data collected in 2001 and 2002, corresponding to similar to 2 million K-e3 events. Measurements of semileptonic form factors provide information about the dynamics of the strong interaction and are necessary for evaluation of the phase-space integral I-K(e) needed to measure the CKM matrix element |V-us| for K-L -> pi(+/-)e(-/+)nu decays. Our result is lambda(+) = (28.6 +/- 0.5 +/- 0.4) x 10(-3) for a linear fit, and lambda'(+) = (25.5 +/- 1.5 +/- 1.0) x 10(-3), (1.4 +/- 0.7 +/- 0.4) x 10(-3) for a quadratic fit. Abstract: We present a measurement of the branching ratio of the CP violating decay K-L -> pi(+)pi(-) performed by the KLOE experiment at the phi factory DA Phi NE. We use 328pb(-1) of data collected in 2001 and 2002, corresponding to similar to 150 million tagged K-L mesons. We find BR(K-L -> pi(+)pi(-)) = (1.963 +/- 0.012(stat). +/- 0.017(syst.)) x 10(-3). This branching ratio measurement is fully inclusive of final-state radiation. Using the above result, we determine the modulus of the amplitude ratio vertical bar eta(+-)| to be (2.219 +/- 0.013) x 10(-3) and vertical bar epsilon vertical bar to be (2.216 +/- 0.013) x 10(-3).

Abstract: We describe the method of measuring the integrated luminosity of the $e^+e^-$ collider DA$\Phi$NE, the Frascati $\phi-$factory. The measurement is done with the KLOE detector selecting large angle Bhabha scattering events and normalizing them to the effective cross section. The $e^+e^- \to e^+e^-(\gamma)$ cross section is calculated using different event generators which account for the $O(\alpha)$ radiative initial and final state corrections, and the $\phi$ resonance contribution. The accuracy of the measurement is 0.6%, where 0.3% comes from systematic errors related to the event counting and 0.5% from theoretical evaluations of the cross section., Comment: Submitted to Eur. Abstract: From a sample of about 10(9) phi mesons produced at DA phi NE, we have selected K-L mesons tagged by observing K-S -> pi(+) pi(-) decays. We present results on the major KL branching ratios, including those of the semileptonic decays needed for the determination of vertical bar V(us)vertical bar. These branching ratio measurements are fully inclusive with respect to final-state radiation. The K-L lifetime has also been measured.

Abstract: We present the first observation of quantum interference in the process phi -> KSKL -> pi(+)pi(-)pi(+)pi(-), using the KLOE detector at the Frascati e(+)e(-) collider DA Phi NE. From about 5 x 10(4) neutral kaon pairs both decaying to pi(+)pi(-) pairs we obtain the distribution of At,. the difference between the two kaon decay times, which allows testing the validity of quantum mechanics and C P T invariance: no violation of either is observed. New or improved limits on coherence loss and C P T violation are presented.

Abstract: We measured, with the KLOE detector, the spectrum of pi(+)pi(-) invariant mass in a sample of 6.7 x 10(5) e(+)e(-) -> pi(+)pi(-)gamma events with the photon at large polar angle (theta(gamma) > 45 degrees) at a centre of mass energy root s around the phi mass. We observe in this spectrum a clear contribution from the intermediate process phi -> f(0)(980)gamma. A sizeable effect is also observed in the distribution of the pion forward-backward asymmetry. We use different theoretical models to fit the spectrum and we determine the to mass and coupling constants to the phi, to pi(+)pi(-) and to KK.

Abstract: We present a measurement of the K-pi vector current form-factor parameters for the decay K(L) →pi+-e-+nu. We use 328 pb^−1 of data collected in 2001 and 2002, corresponding to about 2 million Ke3 events. Measurements of semileptonic form factors provide information about the dynamics of the strong interaction and are necessary for evaluation of the phase-space integral IeK needed to measure the CKM matrix element |Vus | for K(L) →pi+-e-+nu decays. Our result is (lambda)+ = (28.6±0.5±0.4)×10-3 for a linear fit, and (lambda)'+ = (25.5±1.5±1.0)×10^-3, (lambda)''+ = (1.4±0.7±0.4)×10^-3 for a quadratic fit.

Abstract: We have measured the fully inclusive K+ -> mu(+)v(y) absolute branching ratio with the KLOE experiment at DM phi NE, the Frascati phi-factory. From some 865283 K+ -> mu(+)v(gamma) decays obtained from a sample of similar to 5.2 x 10(8), phi-meson decays, we find BR(K+ -> mu+v(mu),(gamma)) = 0.6366 +/- 0.0009(stat.) +/- 0.0015(syst)., corresponding to an overall fractional error of 0.27%. Using recent lattice results on the decay constants of pseudoscalar mesons one can obtain an estimate for the CKM mixing matrix element vertical bar V(us)vertical bar = 0.2223 +/- 0.0026.

Abstract: Using a sample of over 400 million phi -> KSKL decays produced during the years 2001 and 2002 at the DA Phi NE e(+)e(-) collider, the ratio R-S(pi) = Gamma(K-S -> pi(+) pi(-)(gamma))/Gamma (K-S -> pi(0)pi(0)) has been measured with the KLOE detector. The result is R-pi(S) = 2.2555 +/- 0.0012(stat)+/- 0.0021(corr-stat)+/- 0.0050(syst), which is in good agreement with the previously published result based on the KLOE data sample from the year 2000. The average of the KLOE results is R-S(pi) = 2.2549 +/- 0.0054, reducing the total error by a factor of three, to 0.25%.

Abstract: We have searched for the decay K-S -> 3 pi(0) with the KLOE experiment at DA Phi NE using data from e(+)e(-) collisions at a center of mass energy W similar to m(phi)c(2) for an integrated luminosity L = 450 pb(-1). The search has been performed with a pure K-S beam obtained by tagging with K-L interactions in the calorimeter and detecting six photons. We find an upper limit for the branching ratio of 1.2 x 10(-7) at 90% C.L.

Abstract: The KLOE experiment at DAΦNE has collected data for an integrated luminosity of ~ 1.3 fb-1 from e+e- collisions at center-of-mass energy around the ϕ-meson peak, W ~1.02 GeV . A selection of results obtained from a sample of 450 pb-1 of data acquired during year 2001 and 2002 is presented. Studying tagged KS and KL-mesons produced in the reaction e+e-→ϕ→KS KL we measured the branching ratio of the decay KS→πeν, the upper limit on the decay KS→π0π0π0, and the main KL decay branching ratios. Exploiting the initial state radiation in the reaction e+e-→π+π-γ, we extracted the hadronic cross-section as a function of the squared center-of-mass energy sπ of the π π system, in the range 0.35 < sπ < 0.95 GeV 2.
