Since the discovery of superconductivity in infinite-layer nickelates RNiO$_2$ (R=La, Pr, Nd), great research efforts have been paid to unveil its underlying superconducting mechanism. However, the physical origin of the intriguing hole-doped superconductivity phase diagram, characterized by a superconductivity dome sandwiched between two weak insulators, is still unclear. Here, we present a microscopic theory for electronic structure of nickelates from a fundamental model-based perspective. We found that the appearance of weak insulator phase in lightly and heavily hole-doped regime is dominated by Mottness and Hundness, respectively, exhibiting a unique orbital-selective doping originated from the competition of Hund interaction and crystal field splitting. Moreover, the superconducting phase can also be created in the "mixed" transition regime between Mott-insulator and Hund-induced insulator, exactly reproducing the experimentally observed superconducting phase diagram. Our findings not only demonstrate the orbital-dependent strong-correlation physics in Ni 3$d$ states, but also provide a unified understanding of superconducting phase diagram in hole-doped infinite-layer nickelates, which are distinct from the well-established paradigms in cuprates and iron pnictides., Comment: 17 pages, 11 figures, 4 Tables; comments are welcome

There exists a complex relationship between liver and thyroid hormones. Liver plays an important role in the activation, inactivation, transportation, and metabolism of thyroid hormones. At the same time, thyroid hormones also affect hepatocytes activity and liver metabolism, such as lipid and bilirubin metabolism. Importantly, thyroid hormone levels often change abnormally in patients with liver cirrhosis. Therefore, studying the change of thyroid hormone levels in patients with liver cirrhosis has a certain clinical value for assessing the severity, prognosis, diagnosis and treatment. The purpose of this study was to elucidate the role of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) UCA1 in inducing the repair of hyperglycemic vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) by targeting microRNA-582-5p (miR-582-5p), thus alleviating diabetic angiopathy.Arterial vessels and serum exosomes were collected from 40 type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients and 40 non-T2DM patients. Relative levels of UCA1 and miR-582-5p in collected samples were detected. Then, the interaction between UCA1 and miR-582-5p was assessed by Dual-Luciferase reporter assay. Moreover, the regulatory effects of UCA1 and miR-582-5p on VSMCs phenotypes were determined.Results showed that compared with non-T2DM patients, UCA1 was markedly downregulated, while miR-582-5p was upregulated in VSMCs and serum exosomes of T2DM patients. They exerted a negative expression correlation between each other. Besides, miR-582-5p was the direct target of UCA1. Under the induction of increased doses of glucose, UCA1 stimulated proliferative and invasive abilities in VSMCs. MiR-582-5p was responsible for the repairability of UCA1 in VSMCs under the hyperglycemia state.LncRNA UCA1 induces the repair of hyperglycemic VSMCs via negatively regulating miR-582-5p. UCA1 may be a novel target for T2DM diagnosis and treatment.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a chronic inflammation derived from the background of hepatitis B and C virus (HBV and HCV) infection, chemical intoxicants, or non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Cancerous liver cells can express and secrete a variety of relatively specific markers, such as carcinoembryonic type of alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), phosphatidylinositol-3 (Glypican-3, GPC-3), Wnt/β-Catenin key molecule of signaling pathway Wnt3a and liver cancer specific GGT-II (HS-GGT), etc. Clinical analysis of carcinoembryonic markers not only contributes to diagnosis and prognosis of HCC, but may also be the target of HCC immunotherapy with a promising prospect of development and application. This study aimed to investigate the efficacy and molecular mechanisms of ZSP1603 as a novel anti-fibrotic compound.The unilateral left pulmonary fibrosis model was established in the Sprague Dawley (SD) rats. The bilateral pulmonary fibrosis model was established in the C57BL/6J mice. The therapeutic treatment regimen began after the induction of pulmonary fibrosis. The preventive treatment regimen began on the first day of bleomycin administration. Animals were randomly divided into the sham, model, Nintedanib, and ZSP1603 treatment groups. Haematoxylin and eosin (HE) and Masson's trichrome staining were performed to evaluate pulmonary injury, inflammation, and fibrosis. Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) assay and Western blot were used to investigate the effects and mechanisms of ZSP1603 on the proliferation of primary human pulmonary fibroblasts (pHPFs). The messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) expression of transforming growth factor (TGF)-β1, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 1 (TIMP-1), and collagen 1A1 (COL1A1) in pHPFs was detected by quantitative Real Time-Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR).ZSP1603 inhibited the proliferation of pHPFs in vitro by blocking the platelet-derived growth factor receptor-β (PDGF-Rβ) and extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) signalling pathway. ZSP1603 also inhibited the differentiation of pHPFs by reducing the expression of TGF-β1, TIMP-1, and COL1A1. ZSP1603 significantly attenuated pulmonary injury, inflammation, and fibrosis in vivo in four independent animal studies of pulmonary fibrosis.ZSP1603 is an effective anti-fibrotic compound with clear mechanisms.

Manganese (Mn) may improve cardiometabolic health with its anti-oxidative ability. However, epidemiological evidence on the overall and sex-specific relationship between Mn exposure and metabolic syndrome (MetS) has been inconclusive. We evaluated the associations of urinary (n = 1713) and blood (n = 3335) Mn levels with the prevalence of MetS, its components (elevated waist circumference, impaired glucose metabolism, elevated blood pressure and dyslipidemia) and sex-dependent heterogeneities among participants in the United States National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2011–2016. After adjusting for multiple covariates and the levels of other metals (Arsenic, Barium, Cadmium, Mercury, Molybdenum, Tin and Uranium), urinary Mn at the third quartile associated with a lower odd of MetS (odds ratio [OR] = 0.55, 95% confidence interval [C.I.] = 0.32–0.97), elevated waist circumference (OR = 0.56, 95% C.I. = 0.36–0.86) and elevated fasting plasma glucose (OR = 0.46, 95% C.I. = 0.27–0.76) among overall participants, and lower odds of MetS (OR = 0.40, 95% C.I. = 0.16–0.99), elevated waist circumference (OR = 0.39, 95% C.I. = 0.19–0.81) and elevated fasting plasma glucose (OR = 0.44, 95% C.I. = 0.22–0.90) among men. The U-shaped dose-response relationship between urinary Mn and MetS (P non-linear = 0.008) was observed among all participants. We did not observe the significant associations of blood Mn with the prevalence of MetS. Compared with other metals, urinary Mn played a less important role in development of MetS (posterior inclusion probabilities [PIP] = 0.49 for Mn versus 0.54 to 0.91 for other metals), but the contribution of blood Mn (PIP = 0.59 versus 0.60 to 0.61) was similar to other blood metals (Cadmium, Lead, Mercury and Selenium). These findings have provided new evidence of the potential roles of Mn in cardiometabolic health, and the needs to explore how Mn interacts with multiple metals in sex-specific manner.

Perovskite lead titanate nanostructures with specific {111}, {100} and {001} facets exposed, have been employed as supports to investigate the crystal facet effect on the growth and CO catalytic activity of Pt nanoparticles. The size, distribution and surface chemical states of Pt on the perovskite supports have been significantly modified, leading to a tailored conversion temperature and catalytic kinetics towards CO catalytic oxidation.

Ras mutations and overexpression of the Ras protein, p21Ras, are main causes of cancer development and progression, which has made the Ras gene and p21Ras important targets for therapy of Ras-driven cancers. We previously prepared recombinant adenovirus KGHV100 based on replication-defective adenovirus type 5, which could intracellularly express anti-p21Ras single chain fragment viable antibodies (scFv) and repress tumor growth in vitro and in vivo. However, the anti-tumor effects of this anti-p21Ras scFv were limited by short-term scFv expression due to a replication defect of KGHV100. To enhance the anti-tumor efficacy and safety of anti-p21Ras scFv, the present study constructed a dual-promoter-regulated recombinant adenovirus KGHV300 that carried anti-p21Ras scFv. In KGHV300, the expression levels of the essential replication genes E1a and E1b, were controlled by the human telomerase reverse transcriptase promoter and the hypoxia response element, respectively, and the anti-p21Ras scFv gene was controlled by the cytomegalovirus promoter. The conditional replication of KGHV300 and its antitumor efficacy were characterized in several tumor cell lines in vitro and in xenograft models of human breast cancer in nude mice. TCID50 assay demonstrated that KGHV300 could replicate in tumor cell lines but not in normal cell lines. 3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-2-H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay indicated that the growth of tumor cells was effectively inhibited by KGHV300 infection. In MDA-MB-231 tumor xenograft models, KGHV300 effectively and significantly inhibited tumor growth and induced apoptosis of tumor cells. We concluded that the recombinant adenovirus KGHV300 may be a more potent and safer antitumor therapeutic for Ras-driven cancer biotherapy.

Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST) is a rare invasive soft tissue sarcoma that originates from peripheral nerve branches and peripheral nerve sheaths. Early radical surgery is an effective treatment for MPNST. Since it is insensitive to radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the disease manifests a rapid progression, poor prognosis and high mortality. In recent years, the translational researches on the driving factors and therapeutic targets of MPNST have been rapidly developed, including the pathways of NF1-Ras, Raf-MEK-ERK, PI3K-AKT-mTOR, Wnt signaling, and abnormal expressions of apoptotic proteins, the general loss of polycomb repressive complex 2 (PRC2), upregulation of the HDAC family, abnormal expressions of receptor tyrosine kinases, expressions of programmed cell death ligand (PD-L1), aurora kinase and various microRNAs.This review summarizes the current translational researches on potential therapeutic targets of MPNST, and the clinical trials which provide helpful information for MPNST targeted therapy.恶性周围神经鞘瘤(MPNST)是一种少见的起源于外周神经分支和神经鞘膜的侵袭性软组织肉瘤。早期根治性手术是MPNST有效的治疗方式，但由于MPNST对放疗和化疗的敏感性低，疾病进展迅速，预后通常较差，死亡率高。近年来，寻找MPNST演进的驱动因素及治疗靶点的转化研究和临床试验发展迅速，涉及NF1-Ras途径、Raf-MEK-ERK途径、PI3K-AKT-mTOR途径、Wnt信号通路、凋亡蛋白的异常表达、多梳抑制复合物2普遍缺失、HDAC家族高表达、受体酪氨酸激酶异常、细胞程序性死亡配体表达、极光激酶表达以及多种微小RNA等方面。文章归纳了与MPNST相关的潜在治疗靶点的转化研究，并对正在研发的靶向药物及其临床试验进行总结，为MPNST靶向治疗的临床应用提供有效信息。.

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) and environmental degradation are leading global health problems of our time. Recent studies have linked exposure to heavy metals to the risks of CVD and diabetes, particularly in populations from low- and middle-income countries, where concomitant rapid development occurs. In this review, we 1) assessed the totality, quantity, and consistency of the available epidemiological studies, linking heavy metal exposures to the risk of CVD (including stroke and coronary heart disease); 2) discussed the potential biological mechanisms underlying some tantalizing observations in humans; and 3) identified gaps in our knowledge base that must be investigated in future work. An accumulating body of evidence from both experimental and observational studies implicates exposure to heavy metals, in a dose-response manner, in the increased risk of CVD. The limitations of most existing studies include insufficient statistical power, lack of comprehensive assessment of exposure, and cross-sectional design. Given the widespread exposure to heavy metals, an urgent need has emerged to investigate these putative associations of environmental exposures, either independently or jointly, with incident CVD outcomes prospectively in well-characterized cohorts of diverse populations, and to determine potential strategies to prevent and control the impacts of heavy metal exposure on the cardiometabolic health outcomes of individuals and populations.

BACKGROUND The effect of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) on the outcomes of dementia remains unclear. Our purpose is to compare the use of emergency care and hospitalization in patients with post-stroke cognitive impairment (PSCI) with or without treatment of TCM. METHODS In a stroke cohort of 67 521 patients with PSCI aged over 40 years obtained from the 23 million people in Taiwan's national health insurance between 2000 and 2007, we identified 6661 newly diagnosed PSCI patients who were treated with TCM and 6661 propensity score-matched PSCI patients who were not treated with TCM. Under the control of immortal time bias, we calculated the adjusted rate ratios (RRs) and 95% CIs of the 1-year use of emergency care and hospitalization associated with TCM. Based on the questionnaire data of specialist, the first level and second level index and respective weight distribution of evaluation index system for canvas stow net operation performance were obtained. The weight of index was adjusted through consistency judgment for assuring the rationality of index weigh. Evaluation index system was established based on the above mentioned studies, and the reference basis was provided for the evaluation of canvas stow net operation performance in the future. Based on the questionnaire data of fishery experts, in this studies, the vague APH method was used to determine the first and second level index of the performance evaluation system of canvas stow net and the corresponding weight, the index weight through the consistency test was adjusted to ensure the rationality of the index weight of the evaluation system. On the basis of the above, a performance evaluation model was built, which can provide reference and basis for future performance evaluation.

As an important accessory of single trawl, otter board directly affects net horizontal expansion, further the catching and fishing efficiency[1-2]. For improving the fishing efficiency and technology level and solving the world energy crisis in some way, the hydraulic performance is chosen and the effects of different structural parameters are studied. Such as aspect ratio, curvature, bending and receding angle, deflector angle and slot width, number of slots and so on[3-10]. This paper selects a vertical cambered slotted otter board as research object, presents a principle of hydrodynamic efficient based on the experiment data, then a mathematical model of the hydrodynamic efficient is obtained. This model has been found as a function of angles of attack and deflector, and is suitable for similar otter board design and optimization.

Summary Ovaries of 1159 Trachinocephalus myops were examined, and six oocyte stages were histologically identified whereby each stage of ovary development was observed almost every month. The sex ratio was not different from 1 : 1 (P > 0.01). The weight-length relationship was estimated as BW = 0.0077FL3.1207 (r2 = 0.976, n = 2256). Monthly composition of the oocyte stages gonadosomatic index (GSI), and condition factor (CF) were examined. The spawning season had two peaks: February to April and August to October. Sizes at 50% maturity were estimated at 18.0 and 18.7 cm FL for females and males, respectively. Fecundity estimates ranged from 11 100 to 426 200 (mean: 178 600), based on an oocyte diameter >0.2 mm. Batch fecundity was estimated to range from 1724 to 120 951 (mean: 60 200), germinal vesicle migration and mature oocytes >0.8 mm in diameter were counted, and the relative fecundity was estimated to range from 346 to 3115 (mean: 1087). The results suggest that reproductive activity occurred throughout the year, suitable for the highly variable environments utilized by this species.

The intermetallic compound (IMC) growth behavior at SnAgCu/Cu solder joint interface under different thermal aging conditions was investigated, in order to develop a framework for correlating IMC layer growth behavior between isothermal and thermomechanical cycling (TMC) effects. Based upon an analysis of displacements for actual flip-chip solder joint during temperature cycling, a special bimetallic loading frame with single joint-shear sample as well as TMC tests were designed and used to research the interfacial IMC growth behavior in SnAgCu/Cu solder joint, with a focus on the influence of stress–strain cycling on the growth kinetics. An equivalent model for IMC growth was derived to describe the interfacial Cu-Sn IMC growth behavior subjected to TMC aging as well as isothermal aging based on the proposed “equivalent aging time” and “effective aging time”. Isothermal aging, thermal cycling (TC) and TMC tests were conducted for parameter determination of the IMC growth model as well as the growth kinetic analysis. The SnAgCu/Cu solder joints were isothermally aged at 125, 150 and 175 °C, while the TC and TMC tests were performed within the temperature range from −40 to 125 °C. The statistical results of IMC layer thickness showed that the IMC growth for TMC was accelerated compared to that of isothermal aging based on the same “effective aging time”. The IMC growth model proposed here is fit for predicting the IMC layer thickness for SnAgCu/Cu solder joint after any isothermal aging time or thermomechanical cycles. In addition, the results of microstructure evolution observation of SnAgCu/Cu solder joint subjected to TMC revealed that the interfacial zone was the weak link of the solder joint, and the interfacial IMC growth had important influence on the thermomechanical fatigue fracture of the solder joint.

目的 评价人免疫缺陷病毒（HIV）阴性的浆母细胞淋巴瘤（PBL）的临床特征。 方法 回顾性分析中国医学科学院肿瘤医院2006年1月至2016年1月收治的具有完整临床资料的9例HIV阴性PBL患者临床资料。 结果 9例HIV阴性PBL患者中，男6例，女3例，中位年龄为56 (30~77）岁，均不存在免疫抑制相关的基础疾病。7例原发于结外，其中1例（例4）口腔受侵。Ann Arbor分期：Ⅱ期2例，Ⅳ期7例；9例患者Ki-67指数为60%~90%，≥80％者7例；4例患者进行EB病毒编码的小RNA（EBER）检测，2例EBER阳性。9例患者均接受化疗，8例一线采用CHOP（环磷酰胺＋表阿霉素＋长春新碱＋泼尼松）样方案，仅5例获得缓解（完全缓解1例，部分缓解4例）。其中3例老年患者采用CHOP联合沙利度胺方案，2例获得部分缓解。1例3个化疗方案失败的患者（例7）四线接受沙利度胺＋足叶乙甙治疗，疗效评价为疾病稳定，并维持10个月。1例早期患者（例4）无病生存61.9个月，其余8例一线治疗后均出现复发或进展，其中6例因疾病进展在诊断后2年内死亡。 结论 本组HIV阴性PBL患者均无明确的免疫抑制因素。原发结外病变常见，但仅1例口腔受侵。多数患者分期晚、治疗效果差。沙利度胺用于PBL的治疗值得进一步研究。
