Abstract

Consumers have an important role in the sustainability of a business. Producers who can meet the needs and desires of consumers have a competitive attitude and will continue to survive. The involvement of consumers as early as possible in product design can increase the suitability between the products produced and the needs of consumers as users. This study aims to design the development of processed-grasshopper products in the form of snack bars as local food wisdom in Gunungkidul Regency, DIY according to consumer preferences. The method used in this research is Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Data were collected using a questionnaire on consumers of grasshopper-processed products in Gunungkidul Regency, DIY. The method of sampling was using a purposive sampling method. The results showed that in the development of grasshopper snack bar products, four technical parameters that had a weight value of more than 10% were the type of main raw material, protein content, mixed grasshopper flour content, and dough cutting size. The four technical parameters have a total weight point of 54% which can be developed to satisfy consumers. The availability of quality raw materials (fresh and containing high protein) is the main aspect that needs to be considered so that grasshopper processed products in the form of snack bars can fulfill consumer demands also become new superior products that can support the image of gastro tourism in Gunungkidul Regency.

Medical technology and robotics are developed in hospital settings to limit human contact. The aim of this review is to elucidate what kind of medical robotics is required for healthcare workers during COVID-19 pandemic. This review was obtained from electronic databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, EBSCO, and Cochrane reviews were searched for articles using keywords such as “healthcare professional” OR “health worker” AND “COVID-19” AND “robot application” OR “robotics” OR “health technology” AND “needs assessment” OR “expectation” OR “perception” published during 2020 to 2021. Inclusion criteria were full-text articles related to assessment of healthcare workers’ need for medical robotics during COVID-19 pandemics. Exclusion criteria included abstracts, duplicate articles, blogs, news articles, promotional brochures, and conference proceedings. A total of 13,692 articles were identified through the search engines (PubMed 179, Cochrane Library 1300, EBSCO 13, Google Scholar 12,200). Five full-text articles fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Determining robotic functions is important to healthcare workers who will be user of such medical technology. This review divided robotic functions into medical, operational, movement, and social functions. Healthcare workers’ demands for robotics were also influenced by the types of robots, such as examination robots, robot-based sample test and medicine production, surgery and rehabilitation robots, disinfection and cleaning robots, delivery and logistic robot, telemedicine, and telepresence robots. Medical robotics is required for healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. The highest demands for medical robotics functions include cardiac measurements and oxygen saturation monitoring (medical functions); examination record delivery, video and image play, and medical information delivery (operational functions); and the ability to recognize and avoid obstacles (movement functions). Abstract

Thermoluminescence dosimeters (TLDs) are widely used in radiation dosimetry due to their excellent properties, such as high sensitivity, small size, and ability to measure low doses of radiation. This review focuses on the structural properties of TLD materials, as well as their preparation, application, and adaptability. The review covers the various types of TLD materials, crystal structure, and properties, including energy response and fading characteristics. The different methods used to prepare TLD materials, such as solid-state synthesis, sol-gel synthesis, and solution growth methods, are discussed in detail. The review also includes a detailed discussion of the various applications of TLDs, including medical, environmental, and industrial radiation dosimetry. Extensive information on TLD is reviewed, and the TL characteristics that have a noticeable impact on the TL dosimetry potential for human and other purpose utilisation, such as mineral, oil, and gas resource investigation, can be done using natural and artificial TL signals. Information on TL measurement process requirements and the TL characteristics that have a noticeable impact on a compound TL dosimetry potential are also addressed. Finally, the review concludes by highlighting the adaptability of TLD materials to different dosimetry applications and their potential use in the future. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

The need of clean water keep increasing, therefore some energy sources that are classified in the renewed energies such as solar energy, wind energy, etc. This research is conducted to analyse usage of water pump engine by using the automatic switches of controller arduino nano v.3.0 and solar energy as the homebased scale pump actuator. The experimental research against the automatic switches usage and solar energy with battery photovoltaic (P-V) for water pump actuator electric energy generator is done in the Renewable Energy Laboratory at Mechanical Engineering Department of State university of Makassar. The result of research shows the sun intensity excelsior, hence battery generator output power PV obtained excelsior to also. Maximum current of PV is obtained at 13.35 Central Indonesia Time Zone (local time) 599 Watts. Current or generator output power PV obtained hardly having an effect on to performa pump and water debit yielded. Water debit yielded by pump at 08.00 until Pukul 16.00 is 0,8 Liter/minute. The controller system with this PV generator is able to deliver water to reservoir with head 3.5 meter.

Contains fulltext : 294558.pdf (Publisher’s version ) (Open Access), Murine typhus (MT), an infection caused by the gram-negative bacteria Rickettsia typhi (R. typhi), is a significant cause of acute febrile illness (AFI) in Southeast Asia but is rarely reported in Indonesia. The current study aimed to describe the clinical characteristics of MT cases in Bandung, West Java. Non-confirmed AFI cases (n = 176) from a prospective cohort study of whom paired serum samples (acute (T1), midterm (T2), or convalescent (T3)) were available were screened using MT serology. IgG against R. typhi was detected in the T2 or T3 samples using an in-house ELISA. Positive IgG samples were further screened for the presence of IgM. If both IgM and IgG were positive, the endpoint titer of T1, T2, or T3 was determined. In cases with a fourfold increase in titer, real-time PCR of T1 samples was performed to detect R. typhi DNA. In total, 71/176 (40.3%) patients tested positive for IgG antibody, and 26 AFI cases were confirmed as MT (23 cases by PCR, 3 cases by fourfold titer increased IgG or IgM titer). The most common clinical symptoms in the confirmed cases were headache (80%), arthralgia (73%), malaise (69%), and myalgia (54%). In these cases, the presumptive clinical diagnoses were typhoid fever (43.2%), dengue (38.5%), and leptospirosis (19.2%). MT was not considered in any of the patients, and no patients received doxycycline. These findings confirmed that MT is an important cause of AFI in Indonesia. MT should be included in the differential diagnosis of AFI, and empirical treatment with doxycycline should be considered.

Disruptive innovation opens up new technological cycle and a new cycle of business innovation, because it is not intended to support the existing and established core technology, with strong well-established company in this market, and it aims to completely change the technology radically to undermine the market. Each of the above concepts of innovation in their own way successfully draws attention to is actually the same phenomenon-change of technological cycles or economic cycles, the depth of the changes in the economic system. Therefore, they can be considered as homogeneous, interchangeable concepts. This article is devoted to analysis of formation and development of “disruptive” innovation. We analyzed the factors of success and failure “disruptive” strategies. On the basis of experience in the development of disruptive strategies based on demand creation, a comparison of innovative models being implemented in various industry markets.

Abstract

Tourism is regarded as the service industry and it is one of the largest and dynamic economic sectors. Being engaged in tourism, tourism enterprises have to solve a lot of challenging problems, such as to find a market, retain or win new customers, to solve what to do in services, what means to use for competing, etc. Not so long ago these actions in Russian travel companies have had subjective and routine nature and have not brought positive long-term results. The current business completely rejects the ideology of passive market presence. The marketing activity is becoming more and more important for Russian travel companies because both social-economic and political factors of our society have dramatically changed. Instead of centralized planning we have freedom of entrepreneurial initiative, instead of constant commodity and service deficiency there is their excessive supply, and instead of government monopoly there is tough competition among commodity producers. Marketing involves a lot of various activities including marketing researches, product development, its distribution, price fixing and advertising. The major purpose is investigation of the above-mentioned activities in order to make the marketing functioning of tourism enterprises the most effective.

Abstract

The article considers the impact of the financial and economic crisis on Russia's cooperation with the EurAsEC countries. Because crises are an integral part of any economic system, a deep analysis should be carried out. We consider the integration at the micro level and prospects of Russia's cooperation with the EurAsEC, the prospects for cooperation between Russia and the EurAsEC countries should be assessed in different ways. Speaking about the cooperation it should be noted that the main weakness of the countries dependent on the prices of natural resources, which are the main export of all countries, including Russia. After all, the raw material orientation determines the country's place in the world. And so the main task here is to develop the production of finished products and the development of knowledge-based industries.

Abstract

In the context of deep and wide-ranging transformation of the Russian economy caused by a scientific and technological progress and its systemic and structural reforms undertaken in the process of forming a market economy and political democracy, before the Russian economic science alone raises issues of improving the control system. The main role plays a corporate governance practice, as it is large corporations is defined as the appearance of the national economy into the world economy and the main directions of its development, as well as the efficiency and competitiveness in the domestic and foreign markets. The problem of corporate governance research at the present time is one of the most important trends of modern economic research. Corporations in Russia still cannot cope with the role of a key link in our economy. In industrialized countries, it is an inherent part of the system of power (Osipov et al. 2016). At present, the largest business group management system is constantly refined. Develop vertically integrated holding companies, the combined unified scheduling, financing, coordination and supervision. The issues related to the optimization of corporate governance in the industrial holding company, while ensuring a reasonable level of autonomy of subsidiaries.

Abstract

Background and Aims: COVID-19 has infected more than 77 million people worldwide and impacted the lives of many more, with a particularly devastating impact on vulnerable populations, including people with substance use disorders (SUDs). Quarantines, travel bans, regulatory changes, social distancing, and “lockdown” measures have affected drug and alcohol supply chains and subsequently their availability, price, and use patterns, with possible downstream effects on presentations of SUDs and demand for treatment. Given the lack of multicentric epidemiologic studies, we conducted a rapid global survey within the International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM) network in order to understand the status of substance-use patterns during the current pandemic. Design: Cross-sectional survey. Setting: Worldwide. Participants: Starting on April 4, 2020 during a 5-week period, the survey received 185 responses from 77 countries. Measurements: To assess addiction medicine professionals' perceived changes in drug and alcohol supply, price, use pattern, and related complications during the COVID-19 pandemic. Findings: Participants reported (among who answered “decreased” or “increased”) a decrease in drug supply (69.0%) and at the same time an increase in price (95.3%) globally. With respect to changes in use patterns, an increase in alcohol (71.7%), cannabis (63.0%), prescription opioids (70.9%), and sedative/hypnotics (84.6%) use was reported, while the use of amphetamines (59.7%), cocaine (67.5%), and opiates (58.2%) was reported to decrease overall. Conclusions: The global report on changes in the availability, use patterns, and complications of alcohol and drugs during the COVID-19 pandemic should be considered in making new policies and in developing mitigating measures and guidelines during the current pandemic (and probable future ones) in order to minimize risks to people with SUD.

Abstract

Background: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has impacted people with substance use disorders (SUDs) worldwide, and healthcare systems have reorganized their services in response to the pandemic. Methods: One week after the announcement of the COVID-19 as a pandemic, in a global survey, 177 addiction medicine professionals described COVID-19-related health responses in their own 77 countries in terms of SUD treatment and harm reduction services. The health responses were categorized around (1) managerial measures and systems, (2) logistics, (3) service providers, and (4) vulnerable groups. Results: Respondents from over 88% of countries reported that core medical and psychiatric care for SUDs had continued; however, only 56% of countries reported having had any business continuity plan, and 37.5% of countries reported shortages of methadone or buprenorphine supplies. Participants of 41% of countries reported partial discontinuation of harm-reduction services such as needle and syringe programs and condom distribution. Fifty-seven percent of overdose prevention interventions and 81% of outreach services were also negatively impacted. Conclusions: Participants reported that SUD treatment and harm-reduction services had been significantly impacted globally early during the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on our findings, we highlight several issues and complications resulting from the pandemic concerning people with SUDs that should be tackled more efficiently during the future waves or similar pandemics. The issues and potential strategies comprise the following: (1) helping policymakers to generate business continuity plans, (2) maintaining the use of evidence-based interventions for people with SUDs, (3) being prepared for adequate medication supplies, (4) integrating harm reduction programs with other treatment modalities, and (5) having specific considerations for vulnerable groups such as immigrants and refugees.

Positive attitudes towards such conditions can be developed during medical education. This study evaluated medical students' attitudes towards patients with addiction, dementia, and diabetes, and how such attitudes change during training. This is an observational prospective cohort study. Participants (N = 100) were students who recruited from Primary and Community Care training, which consisted of theoretical courses and a clinical rotation. The Medical Condition Regard Scale was used to measure the attitudes and a repeated-measures analysis was performed to compare them. Before training, students' attitudes towards patients with addiction were more negative than towards dementia and diabetes. The attitudes towards addiction remained stable during the entire training, whereas the attitudes towards dementia and diabetes remained stable during the theoretical courses but decreased after the clinical rotation. These findings emphasize a need to pay attention to students’ attitude development towards patients with chronic diseases, addiction in particular, during medical training.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the interaction and main effect of matoa leaf bokashi and tsp on the growth and production of purple eggplant. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan. Kaharuddin Nasution No. 113, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was carried out for 4 months starting from December 2021 to March 2022. This study was a completely randomized design consisting of 2 factors, namely the first factor was giving Bokashi Leaf Matoa and the second factor was TSP fertilizer, each of which consisted of 4 levels of treatment. The first factor was the dose of Bokashi Daun Matoa (B) which consisted of 4 levels, namely 0, 1.5, 3.0 and 4.5 kilograms per plot. The second factor is the dose of TSP (P) fertilizer which consists of 4 levels, namely 0, 2, 4 and 6 grams per plant. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction of Bokashi Daun Matoa and TSP fertilizer on the growth and production of Purple Eggplant, to determine the main effect of Bokashi Daun Matoa and TSP fertilizer on the growth and production of Purple Eggplant, to determine the main effect of the dose of TSP fertilizer on growth and production. purple eggplant. The results showed that the interaction of Bokashi Matoa leaves and TSP fertilizer had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, flowering age, harvest age, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit length, number of remaining fruits. The best treatment was a combination of Bokashi Daun Matoa 4.5 kilograms per plot and 6 grams of TSP fertilizer per plant. The main effect of Bokashi Duan Matoa dose was significant on all observed parameters, the best treatment was a dose of 4.5 kilograms per plot. The main effect of TSP fertilizer was significant on all parameters. The best treatment was a TSP dose of 6 grams of the plant.

Substance abuse treatment (SAT) can be used as the entry-point to HIV programs. The aim of this study is to describe the characteristics of the PWID who had accessed SAT and determine which SAT modality associates significantly with HIV programs.Methods: PWID were recruited by respondent-driven sampling in an urban setting in Java, Indonesia and interviewed with the Addiction Severity Index (ASI), Blood-Borne Virus Transmission Risk Assessment Questionnaires, and Knowledge Questionnaire on HIV/AIDS. The information regarding the use of substance abuse treatment and HIV program were based on questions in ASI.Results: Seventy-seven percent of 210 PWID had accessed SAT at least once. PWID who had accessed a SAT modality reported more severe drug problems. The most widely used SAT were opioid substitution (57%) and traditional/faith-based treatment (56%). Accessing substitution treatment (adjusted odds ratio [OR] = 5.8; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 2.5–13.9) or residential drug-free treatment (adjusted OR = 3.7; 95% CI: 1.4–9.7) was significantly associated with HIV testing, whereas accessing substitution treatment (adjusted OR = 3.8; 95% CI: 1.9–7.5) or other medical services (adjusted OR = 3.1; 95% CI: 1.1–8.7) was significantly associated with HIV treatment. There was no significant association between accessing traditional/faith-based treatment and HIV testing and treatment.Conclusion: Efforts should be made to link HIV services with traditional/faith-based treatment to increase the coverage of HIV programs.Keywords: HIV, addiction treatment, access to care, people who inject drugs

Abstract

The relevance of studies motivating work mainly compounded by the extensive way of formation and development of the Russian economy that emerged in the last decade low innovation activity of employees and organizations in general, "deficit" highly skilled and motivated workers, especially blue-collar occupations. In addition, over the past 20 years there have been many changes in people's minds: to change the structure of motives of labor behavior of workers and staff of the organization system of values, the composition of prestigious professions and, finally, change the value of labor in society. In modern conditions for national competitiveness, sustainable development of the country as a whole and individual organizations and companies need to use powerful and effective resource - human capital. Intellectualization of the modern Russian production sets new requirements for the workforce, which in turn requires the development of science Labor Economics. Management issues are extremely complex motivation, as labor behavior is the external manifestation of internal interests, motivations, attitudes and values of the person. Abstract

In this work, reduced graphene oxide-coated zinc borotellurite doped with erbium oxide nanoparticles denoted as ZBTEr (NPs)-rGO was studied as an approach to enhance the optical properties of glass materials. Herein, a melt-quenched technique was used to prepare the ZBTEr (NPs) glasses. A simple and inexpensive spray-coated technique was employed to deposit the rGO onto the glass surfaces directly. The morphological studies of ZBTEr (NPs)-rGO glass surfaces were investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM) meanwhile, the structural investigation of ZBTEr (NPs) glasses was revealed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman analysis. The morphological analysis revealed the residual oxygen groups functionalized on ZBTEr (NPs)-rGO glass surfaces meanwhile, TEM images confirmed the presence of Er (NPs) in the glassy matrix. The glass samples showed the existence of structural disorder and amorphous nature. The absorption spectra presented the transition bands that existed from 4I15/2 ground state level to excited state levels of 2H9/2, 4F5/2, 4F7/2, 2H11/2, 4S3/2, 4F9/2, 4I11/2, and 4I9/2, respectively. Judd–Ofelt analysis was performed to obtain the intensity parameters (Ωλ), radiative transition (A), branching ratios (βR), and radiative lifetimes (tr). The radiative parameter and branching ratio values suggested the higher stimulated emission radiative at 2H11/2 → 4I15/2 transition for present glass The luminescence spectra exhibited two emission peaks centred at 539 nm and 558 nm which were assigned to 2H11/2 → 4I15/2 and 4S3/2 → 4I15/2 transitions, respectively. The optical results for ZBTEr (NPs)-rGO and ZBTEr (NPs)-uncoated were compared to determine the differences between coated and uncoated glasses. These results highlight the significant effect of rGO deposited onto tellurite-based glass and thus, this work proposed the potential coating materials for improving current fiber optics. Abstract

Background: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has impacted people with substance use disorders (SUDs) worldwide, and healthcare systems have reorganized their services in response to the pandemic. Methods: One week after the announcement of the COVID-19 as a pandemic, in a global survey, 177 addiction medicine professionals described COVID-19-related health responses in their own 77 countries in terms of SUD treatment and harm reduction services. The health responses were categorized around (1) managerial measures and systems, (2) logistics, (3) service providers, and (4) vulnerable groups. Results: Respondents from over 88% of countries reported that core medical and psychiatric care for SUDs had continued; however, only 56% of countries reported having had any business continuity plan, and 37.5% of countries reported shortages of methadone or buprenorphine supplies. Participants of 41% of countries reported partial discontinuation of harm-reduction services such as needle and syringe programs and condom distribution. Fifty-seven percent of overdose prevention interventions and 81% of outreach services were also negatively impacted. Conclusions: Participants reported that SUD treatment and harm-reduction services had been significantly impacted globally early during the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on our findings, we highlight several issues and complications resulting from the pandemic concerning people with SUDs that should be tackled more efficiently during the future waves or similar pandemics. The issues and potential strategies comprise the following: (1) helping policymakers to generate business continuity plans, (2) maintaining the use of evidence-based interventions for people with SUDs, (3) being prepared for adequate medication supplies, (4) integrating harm reduction programs with other treatment modalities, and (5) having specific considerations for vulnerable groups such as immigrants and refugees.

Abstract

Introduction: Till date, there is still no specific therapeutic agent against Corona Virus Infectious Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Convalescent plasma (CP) from recently recovered patients has emerged as a potential treatment. In front of conflicting results reported by recently published articles regarding benefits of CP, we sought in this study to investigate its efficacy in COVID-19 patients. Methods: We performed a retrospective study that enrolled 190 patients confirmed SARS-CoV-2 positive at Lebanese Hospital Geitaoui-University Medical Center, between 1st of December 2020 and 1st of March 2021. Patients were divided into CP and non-CP groups. Clinical characteristics, laboratory and respiratory parameters were compared between both groups. We assessed the benefit of CP by evaluating the survival rate, the improvement in laboratory parameters and the need for oxygen on discharge. Results: Out of 190 patients, 35.2% received CP transfusion. When compared to non-CP group, CP patients were more likely to require Mechanical Ventilation and oxygen during hospitalization (p=0.027), and to be discharged on oxygen (p=0.033). After transfusion, only WBC count and ferritin levels significantly increased (p=0.048 and p=0.022 respectively). As for survival rate, it was significantly lower in CP group than non-CP group (51% vs. 67%, p=0.024). Even in mild diseased patients, survival rate of CP individuals was also significantly less than non-CP individuals (p=0.004). In addition, level of LDH (p=0.001) and ferritin (p=0.001) post transfusion were found to be higher in deceased patients. Conclusion: Our study failed to prove that Convalescent Plasma is effective in the treatment of COVID-19 patients. Our findings require further research.

36. Synthesis, mechanical characterization and photon radiation shielding properties of ZnO-Al2O3-Bi2O3-B2O3 glass system

Abstract

Novel zinc alumina bismuth borate glass system was fabricated according to the empirical formula x(ZnO)–5(Al2O3)–30(BiO3)–65-x(B2O3) with x = 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 mol% using conventional glass melt-quenching technique. The structural, elastic and shielding properties of the ZnO–Al2O3–BiO3–B2O3 glasses were examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD), density, molar volume, ultrasonic velocities, and EPICS2017 simulation. The glass structure's amorphous phase was confirmed by XRD measurement. From the density measurement, the addition of ZnO will increase the density from 4.275 to 5.018 g/cm3 and the molar volume decreased from 44.479 to 38.595 cm3/mol. In addition, the OPD is decreased from 67.45 to 62.19 mol/cm3. The elastic properties approximated from measured shear (VS) and longitudinal (VL) ultrasonic velocities indicated that the decrease of B2O3 in glass network cause the rigidity of glasses increased from 2300 to 2621 m/s and 4082–4540 m/s when the ZnO content increased. Meanwhile, the longitudinal (L), shear (G), bulk (K) and Young's (E) modulus increased from 71.23 to 103.43 GPa, 22.61–34.47 GPa, 41.08–57.47 GPa and 57.29 and 86.18 GPa. Besides, Poisson's ratio decreased from 0.267 to 0.250 and micro hardness increased from 3.51 to 5.75 GPa. The EPICS2017 simulation program is used to determine the radiation shielding of the glasses. The results show a very interesting results where the replacement of B2O3 by ZnO causes an improvement of the attenuation competence for the glasses.

Abstract

Neodymium oxide doped tellurite-based glass has been widely documented for potential uses in optoelectronics, but graphene oxide (GO)-coated tellurite-based glass has rarely been reported. In this work, we compare two sets of glass series which were GO-coated and uncoated tellurite-based glass series denoted as ZBTNd-GO and ZBTNd, respectively. The two sets of glasses were fabricated via melt-quenched process. A set of glass was coated with GO using low-cost spray coating method. The structural and morphological properties of the glass samples were investigated to confirm the type of structure in glass and formation of graphene oxide on glass surface. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern confirmed the amorphous structural arrangement in both sets of glass series. The morphological study proved the existence of GO layers on top of the ZBTNd-GO surface. The optical bandgap energy of ZBTNd-GO glass was found in the range of 3.253 eV–3.381 eV which was higher than ZBTNd glass. Meanwhile, the refractive index of ZBTNd-GO glass varies from 2.301 to 2.332 which was higher than ZBTNd glass due to the presence of functionalized oxygenated groups in GO structure. The oxide ion polarizability of ZBTNd-GO glass was found decreased due to the shift of optical band gap when coated with GO. This work offers a new form of glass that could be used as a new strategy to upgrade the current photonic materials.
