An ammonoid fauna comprising eight species belonging to seven genera (Agathiceras, Neoglaphyrites, Emilites, Somoholites, Marathonites, Eoasianites and Metapronorites) is described from the Uyamano Formation (Taishaku Limestone) at Miharanoro in the Akiyoshi Belt, Southwest Japan. The fauna includes two new species: Neoglaphyrites discoidalis and Somoholites miharanoroensis. The genera Emilites, Somoholites, Marathonites, and Metapronorites are described from Japan for the first time. From the coexisting interval of these seven genera, the age of the Miharanoro fauna is between the Kasimovian and Asselian, being very probably Asselian because some species show close resemblance to those known from Asselian strata. This is the most diverse early Permian ammonoid fauna ever known from Japan.

We investigate chaotic phase synchronization (CPS) in three-coupled chaotic oscillator systems. According to the coupling strength and mismatches in the frequencies of these oscillators, we can observe complete CPS where all three oscillators exhibit CPS, and partial CPS where only two oscillators exhibit CPS. When the coupling strength is weakened, we observe a phenomenon that complete CPS among the three oscillators is suddenly disrupted without going through partial CPS. In this case oscillators exhibit quasi-CPS where two oscillators appear to exhibit CPS transiently, and the combination of the two oscillators changes with time. We call this phenomenon CPS switching D. It is revealed that phase fluctuation plays an important role in CPS switching D. It is also shown that the amplitude with a specific structure strengthens the degree of CPS switching. In the present paper, we characterize this CPS switching and discuss its mechanism.

The effect of the gas composition in N2-H2, gas mixture plasma on the growth rate of titanium nitride layers was investigated by optical emission spectroscopy (OES), microscopic observation, and X-ray diffractometry. The growth rate of nitride layers was enhanced by hydrogen addition, which was the highest at 50vol.%N2-50vol.%H2. The results of the spectroscopic measurements and microscopic observations indicate that NH radical intensity is correlated with the growth rate of nitride layers. It is suggested that NH radical plays the most significant role during nitriding process. XRD analysis shows that the compound layers consists of TiN and Ti2N. In the diffusion layers, acicular textures were observed by microscopic observation.

Universal scaling laws form one of the central issues in physics. A non-standard scaling law or a breakdown of a standard scaling law, on the other hand, can often lead to the finding of a new universality class in physical systems. Recently, we found that a statistical quantity related to fluctuations follows a non-standard scaling law with respect to system size in a synchronized state of globally coupled non-identical phase oscillators [Nishikawa et al., Chaos $\boldsymbol{22}$, 013133 (2012)]. However, it is still unclear how widely this non-standard scaling law is observed. In the present paper, we discuss the conditions required for the unusual scaling law in globally coupled oscillator systems, and we validate the conditions by numerical simulations of several different models.

Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) was applied to species identification of meats and meat products. For the identification of meat species by PCR, three sets of primer, i.e., BF (5'-GGATCCCTCTTCTCGCTCCG-3') and BR (5'-GGTTAAGCTACATCAACGGG-3') for cattle, PF (BF) and PR (5'-ACTGAATAGCACCTTGTTTGG-3') for pig, and also CF (5'-CCCCTTTCCCCAGGGGGGGT-3') and CR (5'-AGGGGTTGCTGATCTCTCGT-3') for chicken, were designed according to the published mitochondrial D-loop DNA sequences from cattle, pig and chicken. Amplification was carried out 35 cycles of denaturation at 94 degrees C for 2 min, annealing at 66-68 degrees C for 2 min, and extension at 72 degrees C for 3 min in the presence of Taq DNA polymerase. Products amplified were analyzed by 2% agarose gel electrophoresis. Products amplified from beef, pork and chicken gave single specific DNA fragment of 518 bp, 321 bp and 400 bp, respectively. Using this method, several meat products were analyzed. Mixing of beef, pork or chicken in meat products was revealed by identification of each single specific DNa fragment. When three sets of primers were employed together, beef, pork and/or chicken specific DNA fragment from these mixed meat products could be identified by only one PCR reaction. Sheep is closely related species of cattle, but lamb does not gave and amplified DNA fragment under these experimental conditions. The detection limits in a mixed DNA sample were approximately 0.1% beef in pork, 0.001% pork in beef, 1% chicken in pork, respectively

We investigate the diffusion coefficient of the time integral of the Kuramoto order parameter in globally coupled nonidentical phase oscillators. This coefficient represents the deviation of the time integral of the order parameter from its mean value on the sample average. In other words, this coefficient characterizes long-term fluctuations of the order parameter. For a system of N coupled oscillators, we introduce a statistical quantity D, which denotes the product of N and the diffusion coefficient. We study the scaling law of D with respect to the system size N. In other well-known models such as the Ising model, the scaling property of D is D \sim O(1) for both coherent and incoherent regimes except for the transition point. In contrast, in the globally coupled phase oscillators, the scaling law of D is different for the coherent and incoherent regimes: D \sim O(1/N^a) with a certain constant a>0 in the coherent regime and D \sim O(1) in the incoherent regime. We demonstrate that these scaling laws hold for several representative coupling schemes.

鶏,兎および豚骨格筋を5°Cで熟成し,死後適当な時間毎に筋原線維を調製した.それぞれの筋原線維を位相差顕微鏡下で観察した結果,いずれの畜種でも熟成の進行とともに硬直時に短縮した筋節長の復元および筋原線維の小片化が認められた.熟成中の食肉の軟化に密接に関連するこれら筋原線維の形態変化を,アクチンーミオシン間の硬直結合の脆弱化およびZ線の脆弱化の定量的測定により比較検討した.すべての畜種で筋原線維における両脆弱化はほぼ同じ死後時間に急激に進み,それらは鶏,兎および豚でそれぞれ死後6～36時間,1～4日および5～8日であった.一方,同じ条件下での筋肉の軟らかさの物性灘定から弾性率および破断力を算出した.その結果,両物性値は熟成期間を通じて同じ様相で変化し,鶏,兎および豚でそれぞれ死後24時間,3日および7日後に最低値を示した.以上の結果から,鶏,兎および豚骨格筋における熟成中の筋原線維構造の脆弱化と食肉の軟化は一致し,それらの変化にま鶏,兎,脚の順位で起ると結論された.畜種別の食肉軟化の速度の相違に関して,筋原線維構造の脆弱化機構は蛋白質分解酵素の分解によるよりもむしろ,食肉の軟化に関するCa2+説'により合理的に説明できることが示唆された.

A bifurcation theory for a system of globally coupled phase oscillators is developed based on the theory of rigged Hilbert spaces. It is shown that there exists a finite-dimensional center manifold on a space of generalized functions. The dynamics on the manifold is derived for any coupling functions. When the coupling function is $\sin \theta $, a bifurcation diagram conjectured by Kuramoto is rigorously obtained. When it is not $\sin \theta $, a new type of bifurcation phenomenon is found due to the discontinuity of the projection operator to the center subspace.

黒毛和種腿肉の熟成中における筋漿低分子量成分の変化を追究する目的で,筋漿画分の透析外液として得られた筋漿低分子量画分と筋肉ホモジネートの加熱処理で得られたスープ画分のペプチド含量の変化および低分子量用の市販ゲルを用いたSDS-ポリアクリルアミドゲル電気泳動(PAGE)像の変化を指標として調査した.屠殺後0,2,4,6,8,10,14,17,21日間熟成した筋漿低分子量画分とスープ画分のペプチド含量を測定した結果,筋漿低分子量画分は熟成2日と6日試料の値を除いて,熟成が進行するに伴い次第に増加した.スープ画分は熟成が進行するに伴いほぼ直線的に著しく増加した.筋漿画分のSDS-PAGE像の結果から,約4.6キロダルトン(kD)の成分は熟成0日では認められなかったが,熟成2日以後出現した.約3.0kDの成分は稀薄なバンドとして熟成4,6,8,10,14日試料にのみ認められた.スープ画分のSDS-PAGE像の結果から,約8.0kDと約3.6kDの成分は熟成0日と2日試料では少量であったが,熟成10日以降の試料ではかなり多量に認められ,特に約3.6kD成分は著しく増加した.

We show that the mathematical structure of Tsallis entropy underlies an important and ubiquitous problem in nonlinear science related to an efficient synchronization of weakly forced nonlinear oscillators. The maximization of the locking range of oscillators with the use of phase models is analyzed with general constraints that encompass forcing waveform power, magnitude, or area. The optimization problem is then recasted as a general form of Tsallis entropy maximization. The solution of these optimization problems is shown to be a direct consequence from Holder's inequality. The resulting new maximization principle is confirmed in numerical simulations and experiments with chemical oscillations with nickel electrodissolution. While weakly nonlinear oscillators have generic optimal waveforms (sinusoidal, 50% duty cycle square wave, and equally paced bipolar pulses for power-, area-, and magnitude-constraints, respectively), strongly nonlinear oscillators require more complex waveforms such as smooth, square, and pulse ones.

In this paper, we show the outline of our research on interactive traffic environment, under which we are developing mixed reality traffic experiment space. In order to develop sophisticated ITS applications, it is very important to analyze human factor, but there is few method to obtain human factor, thus, we have decided to create interactive traffic environment under which we can obtain human factors. As the first stage of our research, we have developed mixed reality traffic experiment space. It consists of real observation laboratory part and virtual experiment laboratory part. In the former part, we gather various real raw data to retrieve real environment model. In the later part, we present users more realistic driving environment based on the model. Based on this experiment space, we are going to proceed to the next stages, in which we design and evaluate sustainable ITS applications. For this purpose we have started sustainable ITS project at the university of Tokyo, collaborated among industry, government, and university.

We investigate a critical exponent related to synchronization transition in globally coupled nonidentical phase oscillators. The critical exponents of susceptibility, correlation time, and correlation size are significant quantities to characterize fluctuations in coupled oscillator systems of large but finite size and understand a universal property of synchronization. These exponents have been identified for the sinusoidal coupling but not fully studied for other coupling schemes. Herein, for a general coupling function including a negative second harmonic term in addition to the sinusoidal term, we numerically estimate the critical exponent of the correlation size, denoted by $\nu_+$, in a synchronized regime of the system by employing a non-conventional statistical quantity. First, we confirm that the estimated value of $\nu_+$ is approximately 5/2 for the sinusoidal coupling case, which is consistent with the well-known theoretical result. Second, we show that the value of $\nu_+$ increases with an increase in the strength of the second harmonic term. Our result implies that the critical exponent characterizing synchronization transition largely depends on the coupling function.

The pseudofirst-order rate constants, kcell, of the reaction with cellulose for five dichlorotriazinyl reactive dyes were measured at 30°C by the method of cylindrical film roll. The ratio, P(=kw/kcell), of the pseudofirst-order rate constant, kw, of the hydrolysis in cellulose to the kcell was examined by two methods. The log kcell versus pH plots were similar to those for the hydrolysis measured by Ingamells et al. They were linear below pH 10 and fell off at about pH 10 except for C. I. Reactive Red 1 and Red 2. The diffusion coefficients of the active and hydrolyzed species were constant over the pH range 7-12. The diffusion and reaction behaviors were exceptional for Orange 1, Red 1 and Red 2 among the dichlorotriazinyl dyes. Namely, the hydrolysis of Orange 1 in cellulose was very fast at high pH, and Red 1 and Red 2 had a large diffusion coefficient in spite of the moderate adsorptivity and showed a particular pH-dependence of log kcell. The value of P, in general, decreased with the increase in ionic strength and increased with the increase in pH, though it varied with dyes.

Milk samples from eight cynomolgus monkeys whose lactation period ranged 44-119 days were investigated for their gross chemical composition such as total solids, crude protein, lipids, lactose and ash. Nitrogen distribution, compositions of fatty acids, amino acids and triglycerides as well as major minerals were also determined. These analytical data were compared with those reported for man, simian and cow, and cynomolgus monkey milk was found to have close similarities to human milk.

1) 日本人の人乳の窒素分布を求めた。粗たん白質含量 (全窒素×6.38) は分べん後の日数につれて, 従来の結果と同様な減少の傾向を示した。2) 全窒素に対するカゼイン態窒素の割合は, 人乳I (分べん後1～10日まで) 8.9%; 人乳II (分べん後10～115日) 37.0%; 牛乳78.0%であった。3) 全窒素に対する乳清たん白質態窒素の割合は, 人乳I 60.5%; 人乳II 39.3%; 牛乳16.9%であった。4) 全窒素に対する非たん白態窒素の割合は, 人乳I 30.6%; 人乳II 23.7%; 牛乳5.1%であった。5) 非たん白態窒素のおもな成分として, 尿素, クレアチン, アミノ糖, 遊離アミノ酸の含量とそれら化合物の窒素が全窒素あるいは非たん白態窒素中に占める割合を人乳と牛乳について求めた。人乳は牛乳よりアミノ糖, 遊離アミノ酸を多く含有する。6) 非たん白態窒素化合物の多い人乳のような食物の栄養評価には, 真のたん白質レベルあるいは正しいたん白質換算係数が用いられるべきであろう。

牛乳と人乳のたん白質の栄養上の差異を明らかにするために, 人常乳たん白質, 人初乳たん白質, 人初乳たん白質, 牛乳たん白質を, 8%たん白質レベルで, ラット (雄, Sprague Dawley系, 50～60g) に与え, 14日間飼育した。PERは, 人常乳たん白質, 4.08; 人初乳たん白質, 3.37; 牛乳たん白質, 3.40であり, 人常乳たん白質は牛乳たん白質より有意に (p

新鮮な牛乳より調製した全カゼイン,全乳清蛋白質をpH 7.0, 0.02M燐酸緩衝液に透析し,脱脂乳は透析しないでそのまま,70°, 80°, 90°, 100°, 120°各20分間加熱したときの変化を,ポリアクリルアミドゲル電気泳動にて未加熱のものと比較した. (1)カゼインの加熱により, pH 9.1,トリスEDTA緩衝液, 4.5M尿素含有, 7%アクリルアミドゲルを用いる電気泳動では, 120°, 20分で明らかな変化が認められ, αsカゼイン, βカゼインが減少し,全体に拡散した泳動図を示す. (2)全乳清蛋白質の加熱により, pH 8.6, 0.03Mホウ酸緩衝液含有, 8%アクリルアミドゲルを用いる電気泳動では,ゲル孔に入り込めないスロット残分の増加と, βラクトグロブリンとαラクトアルブミンの中間を項点とする全体に拡散した泳動図を示す. (3)脱脂乳の加熱により全カゼイン,全乳清蛋白質単独の加熱にくらべて,スロット残分の増加が著しいが,ここは共存する塩類,糖類の影響や,カゼインと乳清蛋白質との相互作用によるものではないかと思われる. (4)熱変性によって会合し,泳動しない変性乳清蛋白質は尿素および2-メルカプトエタノールの作用により再び解離して泳動するようになり,未変性,変性の別なく,βカゼインにやや重なって, αsとβカゼイン間に現われる.

人乳の化学組成の相互関係を単相関分析によって解析した。1. 粗タンパク質と酸度, 粗タンパク質と灰分, 粗タンパク質とリン, 純タンパク質と酸度, 純タンパク質と非タンパク質窒素化合物, 純タンパク質と灰分, 純タンパク質とリン, カゼインとリンとの間には正の相関関係が有意に検出された。2. pHと酸度, 脂質と比重, 脂質と無脂固形分, 粗タンパク質とpH, 純タンパク質とpH, カゼインと乳清タンパク質, 灰分とpHとの間には負の相関関係が有意に検出された。

新鮮な牛乳より調製した全カゼイン,全乳清蛋白質を, pH 7.0, 0.02M燐酸緩衝液に透析し,脱脂乳は透析しないでそのまま, 70°, 80°, 90°, 100°, 120°,各20分間加熱したときの変化を, DEAE-セルロースカラムクロマトグラフィーにて,未加熱のものと比較した. カゼインを加熱した場合には, 100°以下ではクロマトグラムの変化を認めず, 120°, 20分間で変化を認めた. 乳清蛋白質では, 70°より変化が認められ,αsカゼインとβ-カゼイン間を頂点とする,単一な成分とは考えられない裾の長い山と,アルカリ溶出画分の増加が,加熱による特徴的なパターンとなる. 脱脂乳でも同様な傾向が認められ, 100°以下の加熱では,カゼインにはほとんど変化が認められないので,脱脂乳の加熱によるパターンの変化は,主として乳清蛋白質の挙動によることが明らかである. 乳清蛋白質の加熱による, DEAE-セルロースに対する吸着性の増加は,蛋白質分子の荷電や大きさの変化に起因するものと思われる.

1. 150°C UHT steam injection法で滅菌し,無菌的に充填した滅菌乳を保存したところ,遊離アミノ酸(FAA), Phosphoserine, Glycerophosphoethanolamine, Phosphoethanolamine, Urea, Taurineの増加と保存前に存在しない二つの化合物X1, X2の出現増加を見出した.2. 増加するFAAのパターンは全カゼイン,β-カゼインの構成アミノ酸パターンに近似していることを認めた.3. X1はLeucyl glutamic acid, X2はα-,またはγ-Glutamyl leucineであることを推定した.4. これらFAA類の保存中の増加の機作について検討を加えた.

人常乳カゼインを尿素添加DEAE-セルロースカラムクロマトグラフィーにより分画し,アクリルゲル電気泳動で単一な,全カゼイン中約85%を占める6画分について,アミノ酸,糖組成,レンニン作用性から牛乳カゼインと比較し,その特性を考察した. (1) 各画分ともヘキソース含量が高く,ヘキソサミン,シアル酸は画分3,4に偏在している. (2) 画分3がスレオニン,画分8がセリンの含量が多いという点を除いては,画分間のアミノ酸組成は類似している. (3) 人乳カゼインの6画分には糖,アミノ酸組成において牛乳カゼインのαs,β,κ-カゼインと同一の成分は存在しない. (4) 人乳カゼインは牛乳カゼインにレンニンを作用させたときに見られるようなポリアクリルァミドゲル電気泳動における変化は認められない.

人乳の化学組成に対する分ベン後の日数, 母親の年令試料の採取量の影響を逐次分類法によって検定した。1. mature milkのあいだでも, 分ベン後の日数が増加するとpHは上昇, 酸度は低下, 無脂固形分, 粗タンパク質, 純タンパク質, 非タンパク質窒素化合物, カゼイン, 灰分, リンの含量はすべて減少する傾向が認められた。2. 母親の年令が低いかまたは高い場合に, 粗タンパク質, 純タンパク質, リンの含量が高くなり, 中間で低くなる傾向が認められた。3. 試料の採取量が多いと比重は高くなり, 全固形分, 脂質, カゼイン, 非タンパク質窒素化合物の含量はすべて低くなる傾向が認められた。
