This study aimed to empirically examine whether rapid changes in the technological environment affect inter-organisational relationships. In the automotive industry, the advantage of cohesive and vertically integrated inter-organisational relationships has been pointed out conventionally. The development of connected cars, which can communicate bidirectionally with other systems outside the car, is eliciting significant changes in the traditional automotive products and the industry structure — changes generally associated with the automotive product structure moving closer to IT products. The aim was to empirically clarify what kind of network structure of inter-organisational relations firms are growing with changes in industrial structure by creating a database of actual firm behavior. The database was analyzed using the social network analysis method, and the characteristics of growing firms’ organisational network structure were extracted. Besides the traditional integrated inter-organisational relationships, the results show that there is a mixture of inter-organisational relationships with different characteristics of growth firms. The objective of this research is to empirically compare the management that is most suitable for radical innovation with that needed for incremental innovation. The relationship between the results of research and development and management styles was surveyed using a questionnaire. Respondents included research and development leaders in Japanese manufacturing, with special attention given to the differences between radical innovation and incremental innovation. Results verified, in an integrated way, the management and leadership factors, taking into consideration the differences arising from the object under analysis and the environmental factors. Cilj raziskave je empirično primerjati upravljanje, ki je najprimernejše za radikalne inovacije, potrebne za postopne inovacije. Kar zadeva metodologijo, smo z anketiranjem vodij raziskav in razvoja v japonski industriji ugotavljali povezavo med rezultati raziskav in razvoja ter stili upravljanja s posebnim poudarkom na razlikah med radikalnimi in postopnimi inovacijami. Raziskava je potrdila povezanost dejavnikov upravljanja in vodenja, upoštevajoč razlike, ki izhajajo iz predmeta analize in okoljskih dejavnikov.

Publishing information’s regarding the company triple bottom line(economic, environmental, and social results) is more and more important in evaluating total business success. The existing frameworks of such reporting, like the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative, the AccountAbility1000 standard and the Sunshine standard, enables systematic tracking of key business environmental and social aspects. Only with regular publishing and synchronizing with the business financial results an analytical base for measurement of non-financial results can be formed.

The competitiveness of today's society as a whole, but also its business entities, is based on the continuity of social changes, which represent a significant segment of the development and growth of the society. Such designation insists on the fact that only a competent management can be the holder and creator of that changes, that is it presents a conceptual foundation whereby only "change management" can generate, as well as systematically manage changes within the "society of changes". One of the essential management skills is „design skill“, which insists on the fact that managers themselves must be innovators, that is creators of social changes, and by using motivational approach they must mobilize other stakeholders that participate in working process to inventive and creative expression. Analogously, research in the segment of management innovations have become an essential need with regard to modernization of today's society. They are the driving-motivational-mobilization component of future innovative environment, suggest growth and development, as well as being corrective factor for redefining of business strategies on the achievable, but some new, futuristic grounds. Management innovations represent a kind of medium that articulates the necessity for high standard of social life, on which the authors tried to focus in the context of theoretical research.
