Practical work is an important part of the teaching and learning process at Ujung Pandang State Polytechnic, especially the Multimedia and Network Engineering Study Program because with practicum, students can understand the theoretical concepts that have been studied in more depth. This research aims to design a Practical Tool Lending Information System in the Multimedia and Network Engineering Study Program at Ujung Pandang State Polytechnic. The development of this information system applies a systematic and sequential approach, by applying the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) method with the waterfall model. This process starts from identifying system requirements, designing the system, implementing, testing, until entering the maintenance stage. In designing this information system, the author used a web-based framework and programming language. The main aim of this research is to increase efficiency in recording management, borrowing, returning, evaluating and recapitulating practical tools. This aims to support the effectiveness of the teaching process, especially in the context of practicum lectures. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide significant benefits for students and technicians, who are the parties most involved in the tool lending process. Apart from that, this system is also expected to be able to optimize loan recapitulation reports for one semester. Thus, this research can make a positive contribution in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of laboratory operations and the practicum teaching process. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
