Abstract: A determined complete set of elastic constants [C.sub.ij] of an [Fe.sub.79][Si.sub.12][B.sub.9] amorphous alloy free standing thin film was investigated using ultrasound spectroscopy. The consistency of [C.sub.44] and [C.sub.55] indicated that the amorphous alloy thin has a hexagonal type elastic symmetry.

Abstract: A combination of Mossbauer spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance techniques is employed to examine the Co-Fe disordering observed in the [Co.sub.2]FeSi compounds. The spin polarization is shown to be reduced because of the defects and the antisite disordering present in the materials.

Abstract: The quaternary LiMgPdSb-type CoFeMnSi are examined. The analysis of the measured XRD pattern and magnetization curve has shown that the CoFeMnSi compound is crystallized in the structure where half metallicity has occurred.

Abstract: The spin wave dynamics of CoFeSiB film having stripe domain structure at a low magnetic field region is examined and the spin wave excitation spectra are measured by using Brillouin light scattering. The studies have shown that the spin wave quantization is related to the stripe magnetic domain structure in continuous film and the physical origin of the quantization is the partial reflection of the propagating spin wave at the periodic stripe domain boundaries.

Abstract: Structural, electrical, and magnetic properties of [Fe.sub.3]Si/GaAs(113)A hybrid structures are examined. The atomic ordering has affected the sign and magnitude of the antisymmetric component of the planar Hall effect in this orientation.
