Abstract

This study advances research on workplace romance, employees' work-related attitudes, and discretionary work behaviors by drawing on a positive psychology theory to theorize interrelations between workplace romance, job involvement, and employees' work effort and provide empirical evidence of these interrelations. Data were collected in two waves (three months apart) from 365 supervisor-employee dyads in 64 firms from different Chinese manufacturing sectors. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM), bootstrapping, and multigroup techniques. The present study found that workplace romance was positively related to employees' work effort. Moreover, employees' job involvement fully mediates the positive relationship between workplace romance and employees' work effort. Importantly, by using multigroup analysis, the current research found that workplace romance types - hierarchical/lateral and licit/illicit (extramarital) moderate the indirect relationship between workplace romance and employees' work effort. Abstract

As the world increasingly prioritises environmental sustainability, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) must find innovative ways to develop green products. In the current digital era, social media has become an influential tool for SMEs to be involved in environmental collaboration and promote green product innovation. The present study proposes to discover the effects of social media usage on SME green product innovation, with the intermediating role of environmental collaboration and a mediating mechanism of digital leadership on the association between social media usage and environmental collaboration in SMEs of China. Utilising a quantitative cross-sectional survey, the research collected data from 336 SMEs and assessed it in partial least squares structural equation modelling. The outcomes narrated that social media usage positively affects environmental collaboration, leading to SME green product innovation. Furthermore, digital leadership supported the connotation between social media usage and environmental collaboration. 16. The effect of firms’ environmentally sustainable practices on economic performance

Abstract

Companies are pressured by stakeholders to protect the environment while improving their economic performance. This study aims to further explore the impact of environmentally sustainable practices (ESP) on firm performance (FP), by considering the effects of green employee integration (GEI), environmental sustainability (ES), and employee environmental orientation (EEO). To test the set of hypotheses defined for this article, a closed-ended questionnaire survey was conducted with employees working in the manufacturing sector in China. Data from 325 employees were analysed using SmartPLS 4 software. The results demonstrate that environmentally sustainable practices (ESP) have a direct and significant influence on GEI, ES, and FP. In addition, GEI has a significant direct impact on ES and FP, and ES has a direct impact on FP. This research also demonstrated the partial mediation of GEI and ES and the moderation of EEO on the ESP–FP relationship. This research advances the scope of the ability, motivation, and opportunity theory and the social identity theory. Results suggest that managers should adopt, implement, and promote green practices, as this leads to involving employees in activities that can lessen adverse impacts on society and improve firm’s economic performance, including in terms of reputation and profits.

Abstract

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play a critical role in countries' economic growth (specifically developing countries). Such economic growth requires environment-friendly business practices to achieve the green innovation performance goals of SMEs. To examine predictors of green innovation performance, the data were collected from 1121 employees of SMEs in China. Partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) through Smart PLS was used to test the proposed relationships. The results showed a significantly positive relationship between green innovative human resource practices, organizational commitment, and innovation performance. Green organizational commitment and transformational leadership have significant effects as mediators and moderators, respectively. Moreover, the enhanced green organizational commitment helps strengthen the relationship between green innovative human resource practices and firms' innovation performance. Abstract

Entrepreneurship and its influence on the development of the economy are significant in competitive global advancement. Entrepreneurs need entrepreneurial intentions to improve the commercial environment of the country. Therefore, studying entrepreneurial intentions' influencing predictors is vital for business development. We collected data from small and mediumsized enterprises (SMEs) employees of the developing country and used partial least square structured equation modeling to analyze the proposed relationships. The results assist the literature extension and practically contribute to developing entrepreneurs' intentions through education and opportunity recognition. The findings aid the institutions in improving course planning and establishing practical business setups. Abstract

Entrepreneurial orientation has become an enormously significant construct in the innovation studies literature. Predominantly for SMEs, its role has been widely recognized in almost all regional contexts across the globe. The present study is aimed at investigating the effects of entrepreneurial orientation, transformational leadership and organizational commitment on innovation performance. The data for the present study were collected from 1095 employees working at various levels in SMEs. The present study used partial least square structural equation modeling to examine the constructed hypotheses. The findings suggested the significantly positive direct relationships among entrepreneurial orientations, organizational commitment and innovation performance. Besides, organizational commitment positively mediated the relationships between entrepreneurial orientation and innovation performance. Additionally, this study also found the significant moderation of transformational leadership among entrepreneurship orientation and organizational commitment. Leaders of small and medium-sized enterprises should practice entrepreneurial orientation (innovativeness, proactiveness, and risk-taking) and transformation leadership (articulating a compelling vision, focus on goal achievement, and creative problem solving) to enhance the innovation performance of their firms. Moreover, this study provides a robust mechanism for leaders at SMEs to develop strategies for enhancing the willingness of the firms to bring innovation and offer new products and services. The policymakers should enhance the emotional attachment of employees with their firms, sense of moral obligation to remain with the firm which will, in turn, increase the organizational commitment of employees for innovation performance. The study provides empirical evidence to the resource-based view in the context of SMEs. The study delivers solid theoretical and practical implications to experts, leaders and policymakers.

During era of 1990s, Paktel enjoyed the profits and hold market in a hand. As time goes on other providers entered into the market. Than rivalry was increased due to the saturated market. This conditions benefitted customers and put them in myth of to whom they select as their basic service providers. This study conducted with the aim to investigate the influence of quality of services QoS and role of family and friends F&F, on consumer buying decision CBD and satisfaction of customers SoC. 567 responses collected via field survey. The techniques of bootstrapping, PLS Algorithms, and structural equation modeling was used. Findings involve CBD positively and significantly mediate between QoS, F&F and SoC. 34. Workplace Romance and Job Performance: Mediation Through Relational Capital and Knowledge Acquisition.

Abstract

There is a lot of loving going on in the offices. The fact is that we are all human beings and when you put human beings together for 8 or 10 hours a day stuff is just going to happen which have its impact. This study examines the effect of lateral heterosexual workplace romance on employee performance. We examined the role of relational capital and knowledge acquisition as serial mediators in the relationship between workplace romance and employee performance. By collecting data in three rounds from 394 doctors working in Chinese hospitals through surveys and using structural equation modeling and bootstrapping, we found that lateral heterosexual workplace romance positively influences employee performance. We also found that the two serial mediators--relational capital, and knowledge acquisition--significantly mediate the effect of workplace romance on employee performance. Our study has important implications for managers and policymakers as the positive effects of a workplace romance are not confined to those involved; instead, these effects go beyond personal knowledge and job-related and psychological outcomes to have constructive, as well as affective influences in the form of positive emotions, care, trust, and reciprocity.
