Abstract

The article reports on the INitiative for the Evaluation of XML Retrieval (INEX) 2009 which consisted of a wide range of tracks such as Ad hoc, Book, Efficiency, Entity Ranking, Interactive, QA, Link the Wiki, and XML Mining. INEX aims to promote the evaluation of focused retrieval by providing large test collections of structured documents, uniform evaluation measures, and a forum for organizations. Four tasks featured by the INEX 2009 Ad Hoc Track are cited.
