Abstract

Blockchain and blockchain-related technologies are being rapidly invented to the point that it is difficult to define specifically which properties are necessary to constitute a blockchain. It may therefore seem far too early to meaningfully discuss the creation of international blockchain standards. This article will argue the opposite by summarising some existing international standards work related to blockchains, and propose directions for additional standards development that could meaningfully be explored in the near future without negatively impacting additional invention.

Abstract

The λΠ-calculus modulo theory is a logical framework in which many logical systems can be expressed as theories. We present such a theory, the theory {U}, where proofs of several logical systems can be expressed. Abstract

Presentation given for X-omics online workshop series part 1 – "Data standards and multi-omics data integration", Thursday June 18th 2020, 10AM - 12PM CEST. This slide-set showcases the work of the Data Access Committee (DAC) from the LAB division of the UMC Utrecht, administrated by the Utrecht Bioinformatics Expertise Core (UBEC) for the European Genome and Phenome Archive (EGA). Because of the huge number of pre-existing systems in the field of emergency management, moving toward building a SoS becomes necessary by re-using and integrating existing ones. In a standalone system, architecting process means implementing the client requirements. Abstract

International audience; Access to data on the web has become routine based upon open standards from IETF and W3C. Access to explicitly geospatial data is routinely done using data access standards from the OGC. Geoprocessing services on the web are now being developed. Processing of data must be done to apply or fuse the data to meet specific applications. Standards and implementations for processing of data on the web are just now becoming established. For geospatial data, the OGC has defined the Web Processing Service (WPS) interface standard. Now is a critical time to bring convergence to WPS profiles that make the web an easy to use geospatial computational service. Access to network accessible processing services is bringing geoprocessing to the cyberinfrastructure.
