The problem of reliability and availability of the Internet of Things (IoT) from the point of view of the classical approach of reliability assessment using MIL-HDBK 217 is discussed in this paper. With the classical approach of reliability assessment using MIL-HDBK 217, only hardware reliability can be assessed, and the situation with the IoT is more complicated: billions of different things (devices), software programs, and human users are involved (networked). The reliability and availability of the IoT is not only a matter of a failure rate of elements (things), but also protocols, standardization, logistics support and other influences. The relation for the reliability calcuation of an IoT system is proposed. / В данной статье обсуждается проблема надежности и доступности Интернета вещей (IoT) с точки зрения классического метода оценки надежности с помощью MIL-HDBK 217. Однако при применении классического метода оценки надежности с помощью MIL-HDBK 217 можно оценить только надежность аппаратного обеспечения, в то время как ситуация с IoT намного сложнее, так как задействованы (объединены в сеть) миллиарды различных факторов: вещей (устройств), программных обеспечений, включая и людей. Надежность и доступность интернета вещей зависит не только от частоты отказов элементов (вещей), но также и от протоколов, стандартизации, логистической поддержки и других факторов. Предложено соотношение для расчета надежности системы IoT. / U radu se razmatra problem pouzdanosti i raspoloživosti dostupnosti interneta stvari (IoT) sa stanovišta klasičnog pristupa procene pouzdanosti pomoću MIL-HDBK 217. Korišćenjem klasičnog pristupa procene pouzdanosti pomoću MIL-HDBK 217 može se proceniti samo pouzdanost hardvera, a situacija sa IoT-om je složenija: milijarde različitih stvari (uređaja), softvera, uključujući ljude, uključeno je (umreženo). Pouzdanost i dostupnost interneta stvari nije samo pitanje stepena otkaza elemenata (stvari) već i protokola, standardizacije, logističke podrške i drugih uticaja. Predložena je relacija za izračunavanje pouzdanosti IoT sistema.

We present results of our research on an interactive smart waste bin, as part of a smart city concept. Waste management and waste collection are one of the fundamental parts of a smart city. We divide three types of the smart waste bin to meet the needs of three separated domains. In the first type there is a waste bin for city operators as well as garbage collecting facilities that use professional solutions. In the second type, there is waste bin for personal use in people houses or apartments. In the third type, there is are waste bin to be used in public places, usually indoors, to motivate people to take better care of their environment. As even a most sophisticated solution does not provide any value if not being actually used. We examine the current principles and tools used to efficiently motivate people to use smart waste bins use in order to take a better care of our environment. One of the most often used principles is gamification, which is based on the rules of serious games to motivate people. We also considered the fact that devices can negatively affect people’s privacy or may induce a feeling that people will be replaced by technology. The presented design if an interactive waste bin is believed to offer a good user experience with waste and to be convenient for everyday use. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

U ovom radu osmišljen je i ostvaren međusloj s osnovnim ciljem pojednostavljenja razvoja programske potpore za jednostavne sustave u Internetu stvari kao što je, primjerice, pametan dom. Razrađeni su najvažniji mehanizmi međusloja potrebni za razvoj te programske potpore. Međusloj je ostvaren u obliku knjižnice u programskom jeziku Python. Prikazani su koraci upotrebe međusloja i praktičnim primjerima pokazan je način korištenja ostvarenog međusloja. Prikazane su i mogućnosti njegove nadogradnje i prilagodbe stvarnim sustavima. This paper introduces and implements a middleware layer that facilitates software development for simple Internet of Things systems such as smart homes. The requisite mechanisms for that software development are realized in the form of a Python library. This thesis outlines how the user could use the implemented middleware and then demonstrates its usage through practical examples. Moreover, the paper explores potential enhancements and upgrades for this middleware infrastructure.

Ovaj rad fokusira se na razvoj pametnog sustava za navodnjavanje u poljoprivredi pomoću IoT-modula s razvojnim sustavom koji je zasnovan na mikrokontroleru ESP32. IoT-modul ili tzv. senzorski čvor integrira senzor za mjerenje temperature i vlažnosti zraka DHT11 , senzor vlažnosti tla, pH-senzor i LED-lampicu. Senzorski čvor prikuplja podatke s senzora i šalje ih na poslužitelj koji izvršava bazu podataka i web-aplikaciju za praćenje i kontrolu u stvarnom vremenu. Projekt uspješno demonstrira implementaciju pametnog sustava za navodnjavanje, omogućujući učinkovito korištenje vode i poboljšanje prinosa usjeva. Integracija različitih senzora omogućuje precizno praćenje uvjeta tla i okoline, pružajući poljoprivrednicima potrebne informacije za optimizaciju navodnjavanja i poboljšanje produktivnosti. This project focuses on the development of a smart agricultural irrigation system using an IoT-module with a development system based on an ESP32 microcontroller. IoT-module or so-called the sensor node integrates a sensor for measuring temperature and air humidity DHT11, a soil humidity sensor, a pH sensor and an LED lamp. A sensor node collects data from sensors and sends it to a server that executes a database and web application for real-time monitoring and control. The project successfully demonstrates the implementation of a smart irrigation system, enabling efficient use of water and improving crop yields. The integration of various sensors enables precise monitoring of soil and environmental conditions, providing farmers with the necessary information to optimize irrigation and improve productivity.

Danas Internet stvari (IoT) igra sve važniju ulogu u životima ljudi. Koncept IoT-a odnosi se na povezivanje različitih uređaja i objekata putem interneta kako bi se podaci mogli razmjenjivati i analizirati na daljinu. Primjena IoT tehnologije proširila se na mnoga područja, a neka od njih su zdravstvo, industrija i poljoprivreda. Cilj je rada dati detaljan pregled IoT tehnologije, uključujući njezinu povijest i razvoj, kao i prednosti i nedostatke, te objasniti kako IoT zapravo funkcionira i kako se koristi u različitim područjima. Predstavit će se primjeri iz stvarnog svijeta koji pokazuju kako IoT tehnologija može poboljšati učinkovitost i produktivnost u različitim sektorima. Opisat će se prognoze i trendovi u budućnosti koji su povezani s IoT tehnologijom. Rad će istaknuti izazove tehnologije, što su sigurnosni problemi, problemi privatnosti i regulatorna, pravna i etička pitanja. Today, the Internet of Things (IoT) plays an increasingly important role in people's lives. The concept of IoT refers to the connection of various devices and objects via the Internet so that data can be exchanged and analyzed remotely. The application of IoT technology has spread to many areas, some of which are healthcare, industry and agriculture. The aim of the paper is to give a detailed overview of IoT technology, including its history and development, as well as advantages and disadvantages, and to explain how IoT actually works and how it is used in different fields. Real-world examples will be presented that show how IoT technology can improve efficiency and productivity in various sectors. Future forecasts and trends related to IoT technology will be described. The paper will highlight the challenges of the technology, which are security issues, privacy issues, and regulatory, legal, and ethical issues.

U završnom radu istražuje se razvoj Android aplikacije za praćenje vožnji temeljene na OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) sustavu. Rad se fokusira na implementaciju funkcionalnosti poput povezivanja s ELM327 uređajem putem Bluetooth veze, prikupljanja podataka korištenjem REST API-ja, prikaza statusa i očitanih podataka tijekom vožnje te spremanja i slanja vožnji na lokalnu ili udaljenu pohranu. Aplikacija omogućuje korisnicima prikupljanje raznih podataka o svojim vožnjama, uključujući brzinu, okretaje motora, opterećenje motora i druge relevantne informacije. Ti se podaci šalju posredniku koristeći protokol MQTT radi daljnje obrade i analize. Rezultat rada je intuitivna aplikacija koja korisnicima omogućuje prikupljanje korisnih informacija o vožnji, što ima potencijalnu primjenu u različitim analitičkim scenarijima. The final thesis explores the development of an Android application for tracking OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) based vehicle journeys. The focus is on implementing functionalities such as connecting to the ELM327 device via Bluetooth, collecting data through a REST API, displaying real-time status and readings during the journey, and storing/sending the recorded trips to local or remote storage. The application enables users to gather various data about their journeys, including speed, engine RPM, engine load, and other relevant information. These data are transmitted to a broker using the MQTT protocol for further processing and analysis. The result is an intuitive application that allows users to gather valuable journey information, with potential applications in various analytical scenarios.

Napredak hardwarea i mrežne infrastrukture omogućuje što šire primjene u domeni interneta stvari. Dobar dio takvih sustava koristi se u područjima slabe pokrivenosti bilo kojom telekomunikacijskom mrežom. Napravili smo pregled tehnologija koje se koriste u takvim uvjetima i odabrali najbolju ovisno o scenariju u kojem bi se koristila. Kasnije smo napravili klijentski i poslužiteljski program te simulirali uvjete srednje i loše mrežne pokrivenosti. Analizirali smo ponašanje i performanse protokola transportnog sloja UDP i TCP u takvim uvjetima te donijeli zaključke. The advancement of hardware and network infrastructure enables a wide range of applications in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT). Many of these systems are used in areas with poor coverage by any telecommunication network. We have conducted an overview of technologies utilized in such conditions and selected the most suitable one depending on the scenario. Subsequently, we developed client and server programs and simulated conditions of moderate and poor network coverage. We analyzed the behavior and performance of UDP and TCP transport layer protocols under such conditions and drew conclusions.

18. Distributed protocol-agnostic framework for optimizing IoT communication

IoT devices need to be frugal with their network connections, which includes using efficient communication protocols, concise data encoding and optimizations in the business logic. Several tools are available that help with some or all of these, but they are generally too complex or limited in their design. This work presents a set of libraries and architectural patterns that greatly simplify the optimization of IoT devices' data usage while maximizing flexibility and maintaining expandability as a key focus. It can be added to most applications as a layer between the business logic and networking. There, it efficiently serializes and batches application data and optionally provides networking-related guarantees that the underlying communication protocols may not. In testing, an IoT application using this tool directly over UDP achieved an 88 % reduction in data rate and 98 % reduction in packet rate compared to an application using CoAP with identical business logic and no loss in network guarantees. IoT naprave morajo biti kar se da varčne s svojo komunikacijo. To vključuje tudi uporabo učinkovitih komunikacijskih protokolov, stisnjenih kodiranj podatkov in optimizacij v poslovni logiki. Obstaja nekaj orodij, ki pomagajo s temi zahtevami, a so na splošno preveč kompleksna ali preveč omejujoča. Ta naloga vsebuje sklop knjižnic in arhitekturnih vzorcev, ki olajšajo optimizacijo komunikacij IoT naprav, brez da bi žrtvovali fleksibilnost in razširljivost sistema. Primerni so za večino aplikacij kot dodaten sloj med aplikacijsko logiko in omrežno povezavo, ki učinkovito kodira in pakira podatke, ter doda garancije v zvezi z omrežjem, ki jih omrežni protokol mogoče ne. 19. UPRAVLJANJE RASVJETOM PUTEM BEŽIČNIH TEHNOLOGIJA ISM POJASA NA PRIMJERU POSLOVNE ZGRADE

Postojeća rješenja upravljanja rasvjetom, temeljena na infracrvenim senzorima, imaju kratak domet detekcije korisnika od nekoliko metara do najviše 20 metara, nemaju mogućnost autorizacije korisnika što dovodi do neželjenih aktivacija rasvjete, poput prolaska životinja, te koriste duge intervale isključivanja rasvjete što dovodi do povećane potrošnje električne energije. U ovome radu prikazano je rješenje upravljanja rasvjetom temeljeno na Bluethoot low energy tehnologiji s ciljem rješavanja nedostataka i ograničenja pasivnih infracrvenih senzora. Analizirane su istaknute tehnologije industrijskog, znanstvenog i medicinskog frekvencijskog raspona u svrhu odabira najprikladnije tehnologije za razvoj hardverskog rješenja čija je uloga kontrola rasvjete i ušteda energije s obzirom na postojeća rješenja dostupna na tržištu. Kao najpogodnija tehnologija odabran je Bluetooth dio IEEE 802.11 standarda. Bluetooth tehnologija pokazala se kao odličan odabir zbog svoje mogućnosti prilagodbe i niske potrošnje energije od strane hardvera. Osim za kontrolu rasvjete, ovaj rad može poslužiti kao podloga za daljnji razvoj uređaja temeljenih na intenzitetu signala. Existing lighting management solutions based on infrared sensors have a short user detection range of several meters to a maximum of 20 meters, they do not have the ability to authorize users which leads to unwanted lighting activations, such as animal passing, and they use long intervals of lighting shutdowns leading to increased electrical energy consumption. In this work, a lighting management solution based on Bluetooth low-energy technology is presented with the aim of resolving the shortcomings and limitations of passive infrared sensors. The highlighted technologies in the industrial, scientific, and medical frequency range were analyzed for the purpose of selecting the most suitable technology for developing a hardware solution whose roles are lighting control and energy saving in relation to existing solutions available on the market. Bluetooth, part of the IEEE 802.11 standard, was chosen as the most suitable technology. Bluetooth technology proved to be an excellent choice due to its adaptability and low energy consumption by hardware. In addition to lighting control, this work can serve as a basis for further development of devices based on signal intensity.

Diplomsko delo je nadgradnja elektronsko računalniškega sistema za nadzor temperature v vinskih sodih, ti. sistema Veritas, produkta podjetja Epiko d.o.o. Sistem je bil v začetku zasnovan izključno za potrebe vinarja, da lahko v lastni vinski kleti nadzoruje temperaturo in posledično kontrolira fermentacijo v vseh vinskih sodih. Uvideli smo priložnost, da lahko produkt postane bolj zanimiv, če bi razvili spletno aplikacijo, preko katere bi bil mogoč vpogled v sistem geografsko neodvisen. V drugem poglavju najprej predstavim obstoječe stanje sistema, vso programsko opremo in naprave. Naknadno smo sistem dopolnili z dodatno strežniško programsko opremo, ki omogoča povezovanje več vinskih kleti na centralni strežnik s podatkovno bazo, hkrati pa omogoča komunikacijo med spletno aplikacijo uporabnika preko centralnega strežnika do lastne vinske kleti. Odločili smo se za pošiljanje podatkov v formatu JSON prek komunikacijskega protokola WebSocket. Pri razvoju spletne aplikacije sem uporabil odprtokodno ogrodje Quasar, ki je namenjeno za izdelavo uporabniških vmesnikov. Quasar je ogrodje, ki ga podpirajo trije programski jeziki: HTML, JavaScript (ogrodje Vue.js) in CSS. Nato predstavim, kako sem izdelal aplikacijo in kako smo določili protokol za izmenjavo podatkov med aplikacijo in strežniško programsko opremo. Na koncu opišem še postopek za izgradnjo projekta in kako produkcijske datoteke namestimo na spletni strežnik. V zaključku izpostavim še možnosti glede nadgradnje, dodelav in prihranka stroškov, saj želimo sistem Veritas v kratkem predstaviti na trgu pod lastno blagovno znamko. This thesis is an extension and upgrade of an electronic computer system for temperature control called Veritas, which was developed by the company Epiko d.o.o. The system was initialy designed for the needs of winemakers, as it allows them to adjust the temperature in the wine barrels and thereby control the fermentation process. We saw an opportunity to make the whole product more appealing, by developing a web application enabling users to access the system from anywhere. In the second chapter, I present the current state of the system, its software and devices. Due to upgrade needs, we supplemented the system with additional server software, which enables several customers/wineries to be connected to a central server with a database. At the same time, it enables communication between the user's web application and their own winery via the central server. I chose the JSON format for sending data via the WebSocket protocol. To develop our web application, I used the Quasar open source framework, whose purpose is creating user interfaces. It is supported by three programming languages: HTML, JavaScript (Vue.js framework) and CSS. In the third chapter, I explain how the application is built and how I defined the protocol for exchanging data between the application and the server software. Lastly, I describe the process of building the project and how to install the production files on the web hosting server. In the conclusion of the thesis, I point out the possibilities for future upgrades, improvements and cost saving potentials, as we plan to present the Veritas system on the market in the near future, under our own brand.

U radu je predstavljen dizajn i implementacija hardverskih i softverskih komponenti prototipa sustava interneta stvari (IoT) za intelignetno upravljanje u povrtlarsvu. Izabrani su senzori za praćenje ključnih parametara u uzgoju kultura kao što su intenzitet osvjetljenja, pH vrijednost i vlažnost tla, temperatura i vlažnost zraka te je omogućena regulacija navodnjavanja. Upravljački čvor prikuplja podatke sa senzorskih čvorova i šalje ih na poslužitelj kako bi im korisnik mogao pristupiti putem web aplikacije. Za komunikaciju senzorskih čvorova s upravljačkim čvorom koristi se Lora. LoRa je bežična komunikacijska tehnologija dugog dometa i male potrošnje primarno dizajnirana za upotrebu u IoT sustavima. This paper presents the design and implementation of hardware and software components of the Internet of Things (IoT) system prototype for intelligent management in vegetable farming. Sensors are chosen to monitor key parameters in crop cultivation, such as light intensity, pH value and soil moisture, temperature and air humidity, and regulation of irrigation is enabled. The control node collects data from the sensor nodes and sends them to the server so user can access them through the web application. Lora is used for communication between the sensor nodes and the control node. It is a long-range and low-power wireless communication technology primarily designed for use in IoT systems.

U ovom je radu obrađen samo jedan scenarij koji jasno prikazuje potrebu za razvojem generiranja obavijesti na hrvatskom jeziku, te općenito potrebu za razvojem visokojezičnih rješenja posebice za manjinske jezike poput hrvatskog. Opisana je i isprobana nekolicina različitih metoda i modela generiranja obavijesti na hrvatskom jeziku u pametnoj okolini Interneta stvari. Prikazom i analizom rezultata objašnjeni su nedostaci postojećih rješenja, predložene su i implementirane neke od mogućnosti poboljšanja, te navedene daljnje mogućnosti razvoja koje bi omogućile implementiranje komponenti i kompleksnijih sustava i samim time poboljšanja na području obrade prirodnog hrvatskog jezika. This paper describes only once scenario which clearly shows the need for the development of the notification generation in Croatian, and in general the need for the development of high-language solutions, especially for minority languages such as Croatian. Several different methods and models for generating notifications in Croatian in the smart environment of the Internet of Things are described and tested. The presentation and analysis of the results explained the shortcomings of the existing solutions, suggested and implemented some of the possibilities for improvement, and listed further development possibilities that would enable the implementation of components and more complex systems and thus improvements in the field of natural language processing in Croatian.

V sklopu pričujočega diplomskega dela predstavimo predstavimo aktualno tehnološko paradigmo IoT in obširneje opišemo eno glavnih podskupin paradigme in sicer povezljive gospodinjske aparate. Ta je verjetno povprečnemu človeku najbolj poznana izmed vseh podskupin IoT še posebej pod imenom pametni dom. V množico povezljivih gospodinjskih aparatov sodi mnogo naprav, ki omogočajo funkcionalnosti kot so oddaljeni nadzor razsvetljave, gospodinjskih aparatov in ambientalne temperature, razvedrilne funkcionalnosti, varnost, nadzor nad oskrbovanimi osebami itd. Cilj pričujoče diplomske naloge je razvoj programske opreme za gospodinjske aparate podjetja Gorenje d.o.o. Natančneje gre za razvoj programske opreme razhroščevanja mikrokrmilnika ESP32-C3-MINI preko Wi-FI omrežja. Omenjeni mikrokrmilnik opravlja vlogo Wi-Fi modula v Gorenjevih povezljivih gospodinjskih aparatih. V okviru dela tako razvijemo razhroščevalni strežnik in konzolski aplikaciji v dveh različnih UI ogrodjih (WPF in GTK#) ter vse navedeno dodamo funkcionalnostim že obstoječe vgrajene programske opreme, ki teče na Wi-Fi modulu. In the scope of this diploma thesis, we present the topical IoT technology paradigm and describe in-depth one of the main subgroups of the paradigm, that is, connected home appliances. Aforementioned subgroup is probably the most familiar of all IoT subgroups to the average person, especially under the name smart home. Connected home appliances include a variety of devices that enable functionalities such as lighting, appliance and ambient temperature control, entertainment, security and assisted living. The aim of this thesis is to develop software for home appliances of Gorenje d.o.o. More concretely, it is the development of software that would allow the ESP32-C3-MINI microcontroller, which will act as a Wi-Fi module in Gorenje's connected home appliances, to be debugged over a Wi-Fi network. This includes the development of a debug server, console applications in two different UI frameworks (WPF and GTK#) and the addition of functionalities to the existing firmware which runs on the Wi-Fi module.

Koncept pametnog grada sve je prisutniji u znanstvenim i stručnim radovima, ali i u javnoj sferi. U najširem smislu, radi se o konceptu koji uključuje primjenu suvremenih informacijskih i komunikacijskih tehnologija u svrhu poboljšanja kvalitete života građana. Još se uvijek radi o tzv. teorijskom kišobran-konceptu pod kojim se skriva niz raznovrsnih i heterogenih odrednica i rješenja među koje se najčešće uključuju pametno stanovanje, pametan transport, pametna energetika i pametno upravljanje. Pametni gradovi podrazumijevaju i razmjenu i obradu ogromnih količina podataka u svrhu optimizacije korištenja resursa. Uz potencijalne dobrobiti za građane, realizacija koncepta pametnog grada nosi i određene rizike, u prvom redu vezane uz kontrolu, sigurnost podataka i povredu privatnosti građana. U izlaganju će se kritički analizirati koncept pametnog grada, prikazat će se primjeri realizacije u praksi i pokušati dati odgovor na naslovno pitanje: jesu li pametni gradovi put prema utopijskom ili distopijskom životu?

Tema diplomskog rada proizašla je iz mog završnog rada i želje da se ideja proširi, odnosno implementira u radnu okolinu. Prikazani su razvoj i integracija pametnih i automatiziranih sustava u laboratorij na Fakultetu strojarstva i brodogradnje u Zagrebu. Na ovaj način, koristeći različite senzore i uređaje, korisnicima je omogućena najviša prilagodljivost cijelog sustava. Ujedno je ostvarena najviša sigurnost jer laboratorij nije vezan niti ovisan o cloud servisu te ne mora biti povezan na internet da bi automatizacije i komande radile. Za realizaciju softverskog rješenja korištena je platforma otvorenog koda Home Assistant koja služi kao baza za kontroliranje i povezivanje uređaja i senzora. Prikazan je postupak integracije različitih uređaja i senzora te ostvarivanje automatizacije i razine samostalnosti laboratorija. Temelj diplomskog rada je koncept Interneta stvari i sveprisutnog računarstva. The topic of the master's thesis came from my undergraduate thesis and the desire to expand the idea, that is, to implement it in the working environment. The development and integration of smart and automated systems in the laboratory at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Zagreb are presented. In this way, using different sensors and devices, users are provided with the highest adaptability of the entire system. At the same time, the highest security has been achieved because the laboratory is not tied to or dependent on a cloud service and does not have to be connected to the Internet for automation and commands to work. The Open Source Home Assistant platform was used to implement the software solution, which serves as a base for controlling and connecting devices and sensors. The process of integrating various devices and sensors and achieving automation and the level of independence of the laboratory is presented. The basis of the thesis is the concept of the Internet of Things and ubiquitous computing.

30. Avtonomna naprava za obojestransko merjenje sončnega sevanja s povezljivostjo v internet stvari

Na področju fotovoltaike se večkrat pojavi potreba po meritvi sončnega sevanja na težje dostopnih ali odročnih lokacijah za namen določanja energijskega izplena PV elektrarne v daljšem časovnem obdobju. V tej magistrski nalogi smo predstavili razvoj in izdelavo avtonomne naprave za merjenje sončnega sevanja in drugih okoljskih parametrov. V ta namen smo vgradili avtonomno napajanje, kjer se baterija polni z vgrajenimi sončnimi celicami. Naprava zajema podatke o trenutnem sončnem sevanju in spektru ter zračni temperaturi in vlagi. Pridobljene podatke obdela, shrani in pošlje prek brezžičnega GSM omrežja na oddaljen MQTT posrednik, kjer jih namensko izdelani strežniški program shrani in vizualizira s preprostim spletnim vmesnikom. Za zaščito vezij naprave smo razvili in izdelali tudi primerno vodotesno ohišje. Naprava je zgrajena tako, da omogoča dvostransko merjenje vseh naštetih parametrov in se je izkazala kot nepogrešljiv inštrument za načrtovanje zahtevnejših PV sistemov, kot je npr. agrovoltaika, kjer je skrbna postavitev PV modulov ključna za doseg načrtovanega razmerja med energijskim izplenom PV elektrarne in želeno rastjo kmetijskih pridelkov. In the field of photovoltaics, we often encounter the need to measure solar irradiance at distant or difficult to reach locations. In this master’s thesis we present the development and production of an autonomous device for measuring solar irradiance and other environmental parameters. For that, we installed an autonomous power supply, where the battery charges from built-in solar cells. The device acquires solar irradiance and spectrum, air temperature and humidity data. Results are processed and sent via a wireless GSM network to a remote MQTT broker, where they are saved by a custom developed server-side program and visualized through a web interface. To protect the device, we also developed and manufactured a suitable water tight case. The device is built in such a way that it enables two-sided measurement of all the listed parameters and has proven to be an indispensable tool for designing advanced PV projects, such as agrovoltaics, where a careful placement of PV modules is a key to achieving the planned ratio between the energy output of the PV power plant and the growth of agricultural crops.

31. Lokalizacija s tehnologijo LoRa na frekvenci 2,4 GHz

Ob vse bolj obširni digitalizaciji in uporabi interneta stvari se povečuje tudi uporaba tehnologije LoRa. Ta zaradi nizke porabe energije omogoča uporabo na mobilnih napravah z baterijskim napajanjem, pri katerih je pomembna tudi lokacija. Ena od rešitev je uporaba GPS sprejemnika na napravi, vendar to pomeni bolj kompleksno napravo in poveča porabo energije. Tehnologija LoRa omogoča merjenje razdalje med napravami. S podporo frekvenc v pasu 2,4 GHz se je povečala pasovna širina ter razširitveni faktor in s tem tudi natančnost teh meritev. V tej diplomski nalogi je predstavljen in preizkušen način za lokalizacijo oddajnika in sprejemnika, ki uporablja tehnologijo LoRa na frekvenci 2,4 GHz. Z uporabo treh naprav s funkcijo oddajanja in sprejemanja signala (treh sider) na znanih lokacijah je bilo s tekočim povprečenjem rezultatov in trilateracijo mogoče točno (na manj kot 14 m v 95 % meritev) določiti lokacijo LoRa naprave v primeru neposredno vidnih sider. Pri zasenčenju vidne linije z rastjem in možnih odbojih zaradi reliefa in stavb se je točnost poslabšala na 93 m v 95 % meritev, v izjemnih primerih do 400 m. The rise of digitalization and the Internet of Things is accompanied by the rise in use of LoRa, a technology that with its low power usage enables the use of mobile, battery-powered devices that also take into account their location. LoRa technology enables the use of ranging – measuring the distance between two LoRa nodes. With support for 2.4 GHz operating band also come a higher bandwidth and spreading factor, which increases the ranging accuracy. One solution would be to use a GPS receiver in conjunction with the LoRa transceiver in order to obtain location information. However, this increases the device complexity and power consumption. The thesis addresses the use of LoRa technology on 2.4 GHz for localization of a LoRa transceiver. With the usage of three transceivers (anchors) on known locations, processing the data with a moving average and trilateration, the unknown location could be estimated precisely (under 14 m in 95 % of measurements) in the line-of- sight scenario. However, in case of shading by foliage and multi-path fading by obstacles, the precision decreased – under 93 m in 95 % of measurements and up to 400 m in extreme cases.

Suvremeno poslovno okruženje rezultiralo je brojnim izazovima koji se pojavljuju u procesu donošenja poslovnih odluka. Prema tome, menadžeri, čelnici institucija i ostali rukovoditelji pronalaze tehnološka rješenja koja mogu rezultirati povećanjem broja relevantnih informacija i uspješnijim procesom donošenja odluka. Internet stvari (IoT) jedno je od tehnoloških rješenja koje temeljem mreže uređaja koji međusobno komuniciraju predstavljaju podlogu za poboljšano donošenje odluka te korištenje dobivenih informacija u svrhu postizanja većih razina razvoja. Primjena Interneta stvari (IoT) u javnom sektoru rezultira donošenjem odluka koje maksimaliziraju korist cjelokupnog stanovništva, što ujedno dovodi i do razvoja pametnih gradova. Koncept pametnih gradova široko je prihvaćen diljem svijeta te se uporabom razvijene tehnologije na svakodnevnoj razini iznalaze rješenja koja uvelike pojednostavljuju javni sustav. Prvenstveno riječ je o administraciji koja postaje e-sustav, komunalnim djelatnostima koje se očituju u poboljšanju prometa, javne rasvjete te zbrinjavanje otpada te o racionalnom korištenju ograničenih resursa i stvaranju nove energije. Koncept je zaživio i u Hrvatskim gradovima te 40 od ukupno 128 gradova u svom poslovanju već primjenjuje neke od mogućnosti koje pruža Internet stvari, a pripremaju i buduće projekte kojima bi se njegova primjena proširila i na veći broj područja. The modern business environment has resulted in numerous challenges that appear in the process of making business decisions. Therefore, managers, heads of institutions and other executives find technological solutions that can result in an increase in the number of relevant information and a more successful decision-making process. The Internet of Things (IoT) is one of the technological solutions that, based on a network of devices that communicate with each other, represent the basis for improved decision-making and the use of the obtained information with the basic purpose of achieving higher levels of development. The application of the Internet of Things (IoT) in the public sector results in decision-making that maximizes the benefit of the entire population, which also leads to the development of smart cities. The concept of smart cities is widely accepted around the world, and by using advanced technology, solutions are found on a daily basis that greatly simplify the public system. Primarily, we are talking about the administration that is becoming an e-system, communal activities that are manifested in the improvement of traffic, public lighting and waste disposal, as well as the rational use of limited resources and the creation of new energy. The concept has also taken root in Croatian cities, and 40 out of a total of 128 cities are already applying some of the possibilities offered by the Internet of Things in their operations, and they are also preparing future projects that would extend its application to a larger number of areas.

Osiguranje predstavlja važan čimbenik u životu svakog čovjeka. Zadatak osiguravajućih društava je nametnuti se na tržištu te ponuditi što većem broju ljudi traženu vrstu osiguranja. Dugo vremena se prodaja osiguranja vršila tradicionalnim putevima, dok danas sve više i više se koriste suvremene tehnologije kako bi olakšali poslovanje, kako bi se ubrzali procesi prodaje osiguranja i isplate premija te kako bi osiguravajuća društva povećala svoj profit te umanjila rashode. Najveća osiguravajuća društva već su započela s primjenom modernih tehnologija od kojih se posebice ističu računalstvo u oblaku, telematika, internet stvari, blockchain te upravljanje odnosa s kupcima. Većina ovih tehnologija nije u potpunosti primijenjena u industriji osiguranja te se još uvijek nalaze u fazi razvoja i istraživanja. Istraživanja pokazuju da se u sljedećim godinama očekuje porast korištenja suvremenih tehnologija u industriji osiguranja. Analisys of the use of modern technologies in the function of insurance sales Insurance represents a big part of human life. The task of insurance companies is to impose themselves on the market and offer the required type of insurance to as many people possible. For a long time, insurance was sold in traditional ways, while today, modern technologies are used more and more to facilitate business, to speed up the processes of insurance sales and premium payments, and for insurance companies to increase their profits and reduce expenses. The largest insurance companies have already started using modern technologies, of whic cloud computing, telematics, Internet of Things, blockchain and customer relationship management stand out. Most of these technologies have not been fully implemented in the insurance industry and are still in the development and research phase. Research shows that the use of modern technologies in the insurance industry is expected to increase in the coming years.

Namen tega diplomskega dela je bil analizirati prednosti, slabosti in notranje delovanje platforme Hyperledger Fabric, ki je platforma za izgradnjo konzorcijskih omrežij na osnovi veriženja blokov. V ta namen je bil izdelan preprost prototipni sistem interneta stvari, na katerem je bila izvedena študija. Služil je kot način za predstavitev tehnologije, pa tudi za prikaz njenega delovanja v praksi. Z vzpostavitvijo prototipnega sistema interneta stvari smo si podrobneje ogle- dali postopek vzpostavitve konzorcijskega omrežja veriženja blokov in njegovo delovanje. Senzorji so bili sestavljeni iz preoblikovanih senzorjev kakovosti zraka, ki so bili opremljeni z Wi-Fi čipi, da smo jim omogočili omrežno povezljivost. Ti senzorji so nato pošiljali odčitke v omrežje računalniškemu vozlišču v bližini, ki je bilo sposobno obdelovati in prenašati podatke v verigo blokov. Vzpostavili smo dve organizaciji, tako da smo lahko simulirali sodelovanje v omrežju. Prva orga- nizacija je imela v lasti senzorje in je zapisovala njihove odčitke v verigo blokov, v zameno za plačilo pa je te odčitke organizacija 2 lahko brala. The purpose of this thesis was to analyse the advantages, disadvantages and the inner workings of the Hyperledger Fabric platform, a platform used to build consortium blockchain networks. For that purpose a simple proof of concept IoT system was designed on which the study was carried out. It served as a way to present the technology, but also to see how it works and operates in practice. By setting up the proof of concept IoT system we got a closer look at the process of creating a consortium blockchain network and how it operates. The system itself consists of remodeled air quality sensors which were fitted with ESP8266 Wi-Fi chips to give them network connectivity. These sensors sent their readings to a computer node nearby that was capable of processing and commiting the data to the blockchain. We set up multiple organizations where one owned the sensors and the other one provided access to the sensor data for a fee. We setup a simple dapp that could read and pay for the sensor data.

Četrta industrijska revolucija, znana tudi kot Industrija 4.0, označuje obdobje razvoja novih tehnologij, s katerimi se spreminja delovanje poslovnih procesov. Začela se je leta 2011, v gospodarsko najmočnejših državah, kot je npr. Nemčija. Slovenija, kot država sledilka razvoja, je z implementacijo začela kasneje. Namen diplomske naloge je predstavitev motivov in izzivov uvajanja novih tehnologij v podjetja, kot tudi prikaz uporabe novih tehnologij v evropskih državah. Pri pisanju naloge sem si pomagala z raziskavami s področja implementacije novih tehnologij v podjetja in s podatki, objavljenimi na spletni strani Eurostat. S pomočjo objavljenih anket o implementaciji novih tehnologij sem ugotovila, da podjetja posegajo po novih tehnologijah predvsem zaradi ekonomske uspešnosti. Med najpogostejša motiva sodita finančna korist in povečanje konkurenčnosti na trgu. Najpogostejši izziv uvajanja predstavlja tehnična integracija. Po najnovejših podatkih sodi računalništvo v oblaku med najbolj uporabljene nove tehnologije. V Sloveniji je najbolj razširjena uporaba interneta stvari. Nove tehnologije omogočajo tudi nove načine poslovanja. Vedno bolj je razširjeno e-trgovanje in uporaba socialnih omrežij. Z analizo podatkov lahko potrdim, da ima velikost podjetja zelo pomembno vlogo pri implementaciji novih tehnologij. Majhna in srednje velika podjetja imajo v primerjavi z velikimi podjetji nižje deleže uporabe posameznih tehnologij. Razlog je pomanjkanje celovitih strategij uvajanja. Strokovnjaki priporočajo bolj strateški pristop uvajanja novih tehnologij in pomoč partnerjev oz. države vzdolž verige vrednosti. Kljub temu, da v Sloveniji prevladujejo majhna in srednje velika podjetja, sodi Slovenija med države, katerih deleži uporabe informacijskih in komunikacijskih tehnologij se nahajajo nad evropskim povprečjem. Sklepam lahko, da Slovenija aktivno sledi procesu uvajanja novih tehnologij v podjetja. The Fourth Industrial Revolution, also known as Industry 4.0, marks a period of development of new technologies which are changing the way business processes work. It started in 2011, in the most economically powerful countries such as Germany. Slovenia, as a follower country, started implementation later. The purpose of the thesis entitled "The use of new technologies in enterprises" is to present the motives and challenges of introducing new technologies in enterprises, as well as to show the use of new technologies in European countries. In writing the thesis, I have drawn from research in the field of the implementation of new technologies in enterprises and from data published on the Eurostat website. With the help of published surveys on the implementation of new technologies, I have found that companies are adopting new technologies mainly for economic reasons. The most common motives are financial gain and increased competitiveness in the market. The most common challenge is technical integration. According to the latest data, cloud computing is one of the most widely used new technologies. In Slovenia, the most used technology is the internet of things. New technologies are also enabling new ways of doing business. E-commerce and the use of social networks are becoming more and more common. By analyzing the data, I can confirm that the company size plays a significant role in the implementation of new technologies. Small and medium-sized enterprises have a lower rate of adoption of certain technologies concerning large ones. The reason is the lack of comprehensive deployment strategies. We recommend that SMEs adopt a more strategic approach to the deployment of new technologies. Despite the predominance of SMEs in Slovenia, Slovenia ranks among countries with technology adoption rates above the European average. In conclusion, Slovenia is actively pursuing the process of introducing new technologies to enterprises.

The new technology greatly affects the way of production, consumption, communication, service delivery and ultimately on the entire supply chain. All stakeholders in the business process must invest in new knowledge and develop new business models to adapt to the changing business environment. Connecting devices over internet (Internet of things) and stakeholders' synergy open up opportunities for new market achievements as well as for the improvement of business processes both in the supply chain and in ports. The development of information technologies has an impact on the reduction of errors, costs, time of information transfer and transport, inventory reduction and thus on better customization. There should be no weak links in the supply chain, which is especially related to the port and port processes that are the basis of the supply chain network. Magistrsko delo predstavlja koncept in implementacijo sistema, ki omogoča delovanje aktivnega distribucijskega omrežja na osnovi tehnologij veriženja blokov. Osrednji element je decentralizirana digitalna tržnica s prožnostjo, ki povezuje odjemalce in ponudnike prožnosti. Tržnico smo implementirali s pametno pogodbo v okolju Ethereum. Izdelali smo krmilnik porabnika in nadzorni sistem, ki avtomatsko objavlja prožnostne ponudbe. Delovanje celotnega sistema smo testirali na grelniku sanitarne vode v kotlovnici stanovanjske hiše. Z meritvami smo dokazali, da ob pravilno določenih parametrih sistem ne vpliva na udobje uporabnika. The master’s thesis presents the concept and implementation of a blockchain based smart grid. Digital decentralized marketplace is a key component, enabling trading with flexibility in electricity demand. Marketplace was implemented by using smart contract in Ethereum environment. Controller and control system that automatically publishes and realizes flexibility offers were developed. The operation of the system has been tested using a domestic water heater in a residential house. The obtained results provide clear evidence that the level of users' comfort is not affected if the flexibility parameters are properly selected.

Raspberry Pi je računalo veličine kreditne kartice koje se spaja na računalni monitor ili TV i koristi standardnu tipkovnicu i miš. To je sposoban mali uređaj koji ljudima svih dobnih skupina omogućuje istraživanje računalstva i učenje programiranja na jezicima kao što su Scratch i Python. Može učiniti sve što očekujete od stolnog računala,od pregledavanja interneta i reprodukcije videa visoke razlučivosti, do izrade proračunskih tablica, obrade teksta i igranja igrica. Platforma se stalno razvija i napreduje, od hardwarea do softwarea. Objašnjena je Raspberry Pi kamera, kako je spojiti te njezine specifikacije. The paper will explain the creation of a Raspberry Pi security camera using OpenCV software with the option of using a webcam or the original Raspberry Pi camera. The Raspberry Pi is a credit card-sized computer that plugs into a computer monitor or TV and uses a standard keyboard and mouse. It's a capable little device that lets people of all ages explore computing and learn to program in languages like Scratch and Python. It can do everything you'd expect from a desktop computer, from browsing the web and playing high-definition video, to creating spreadsheets, word processing and playing games. The platform is constantly developing and improving, from hardware to software. The Raspberry Pi camera is explained, how to connect it and its specifications.

U distribuiranim sustavima pa tako i u aplikacijama za internet stvari (IoT) bitno je bilježiti interakcija između uređaja. Tehnologija ulančani blokova sprema kriptirane, nepromjenjive, uređene transakcije što je čini idealnom za pohranjivanje podataka sa IoT uređaja. IoT uređaji često stupaju u interakciju i stvaraju zapise o interakcijama koje njihove aplikacije žele pohraniti, te često uređaji nemaju povjerenja jedan u drugoga jer su npr. u vlasništvu kojima upravljaju različite organizacije. Kako su zapisi u ulančanim blokovima nepromjenjivi mogu ih provjeriti sve uključene strane. Javni ulančani blokovi bez ograničenog prava pristupa imaju problema sa brojem transakcija u sekundi koje mogu obraditi te nisu prikladni za pohranu IoT poruka s obzirom na količinu poruka koju IoT uređaji stvaraju. Privatni ulančani blokovi s ograničenim pravom pristupa mogu koristiti performantnije protokole konsenzusa te imaju veću propusnost. Napravljena je IoT aplikacija koja sprema poruke IoT uređaja na privatni lanac blokova s ograničenom s ograničenim pravom pristupa te su izmjerene performanse. Privatni lanac blokova je brži nego javni lanac blokova no i dalje je sporiji nego tradicionalna centralizirana rješenja. In distributed systems, including Internet of Things (IoT) applications, it is important to record interactions between devices. Blockchain technology stores encrypted, immutable, orderly transactions making it ideal for storing data from IoT devices. IoT devices often interact and create records of the interactions that their applications want to store, and often the devices do not trust each other because, for example, they are owned and managed by different organizations. As the records in the blockchain are immutable, they can be checked and validated by all parties involved. Public permissionless blockchain has problems with the number of transactions per second thet can be processed and is not suitable for storing IoT messages given the amount of messages that IoT devices generate. Private permissioned blockchain can use more performing consensus protocols and have higher transaction throughput. An IoT application was created that stores IoT device messages on a private chain of restricted access blocks, and performance was measured. The private blockchain is faster than the public blockchain but is still slower than traditional centralized solutions.

Tema ovog rada je primjena modela dubokog učenja na problem predviđanja budućih očitanja uređaja Interneta stvari. Objašnjeni su pojmovi Interneta stvari i dubokog učenja. Razvijen je LSTM model za predviđanje. Provedeni su postupci učenja modela i optimiranja hiperparametara. Predstavljeni su i analizirani rezultati razvijenog modela te su predložene moguće nadogradnje modela. Razvijeno je i predstavljeno programsko rješenje na odabranoj IoT platformi. The subject of this thesis is the application of deep learning models for the problem of predicting IoT readings. The concepts of the Internet of Things and deep learning are explained. An LSTM model has been developed. Model training was performed as well as hyperparameter optimization. The results of the model are presented and analyzed. Possible model upgrades are proposed. IoT solution on the chosen IoT platform was developed and presented.

45. A System for Scalability Assessment of Apache Beam Platform in Processing Large Volumes of Spatio-Temporal Data

S povećanjem broja IoT uređaja i podacima koje dobivamo od njih, novi način obrade tih podataka je trebao biti stvoren. Ti alati koji procesiraju tokove podataka dali su ogromnu prednost nad tradicionalnim bazama podataka. Postoji velika lista alata koje nam pružaju rad s tokovima podataka, pa je pitanje koje od njih odabrati. Kako smo mi limitirani i ne može se očekivati da ćemo se naučiti sve te različite alate i načine kako pisati programe specifično za njih, solucija je došla u obliku platforme Apache Beam koja je dala unificirani model koji se može spojiti na veliki broj izvođača. S Apache Beamom jedina stvar o kojoj se moramo brinuti je kako ćemo napisati program, ne kako će se taj program izvoditi na nekom izvođaču u pozadini. Ovaj rad se fokusira na pokušaju pokretanja program na što više izvođača i testirati njihovu performansu. Sustav je bio testiran nad 3 izvođača Apache Flink, Apache Spark i Hazelcast Jet. Testiranje je pokazalo da postoji limitacija u pitanju koliko možemo povećati broj jezgri i čvorova kako bi dobili bolje performanse. Također je pokazalo limitaciju u Jetu, gdje ne može čitati više od limitiranog broja entiteta nad Kafka topicom s particijama. With an increase of IoT devices and the data that they provide, an entirely new way of processing that data had to be created. These tools for processing data flows in real time, gave a huge advantage as opposed to traditional databases. There exists a large list of tools that can provide us with the processing capabilities, so it begs the question of which to choose. As we are limited with time and can't be expected to learn all the different tools and the ways in which we can create a program for them, Apache Beam came with a solution with a unified model that would connect a large set of runners. With Apache Beam, the only thing we need to care for is what we are implementing, not how it is going to run in the background on a runner. This theses focuses on trying to execute a program to test the throughput of the tools as well as the throughput of the system on as many runners as we can and test their performance. The system was tested with Apache Spark, Apache Flink and Hazelcast Jet. The tests showed that there was a limit to how much you can increase the number of nodes and their CPU core counts to increase their performance. It also showed a limitation of Jet whereby it cannot read more than a limited number of records from partitioned Kafka topics.

Prav tako pa je na kratko opisana tehnologija množičnih podatkov, ki se neposredno navezuje na internet stvari. Drugo poglavje obravnava vse vrste doprinosov te tehnologije logistiki. Na koncu sledi še poglavje, ki predstavlja praktične primere uporabe tehnologije interneta stvari. This diploma thesis covers Internet of things technology and its contributions to the logistics sector. The first chapter briefly describes the history of the technology, its security, and its architectural framework. It also briefly describes the technology of Big Data, which is directly related to the Internet of Things. The second chapter deals with all kinds of benefits of the technology for logistics. Finally, there is a chapter that provides practical examples of the use of the Internet of Things technology.

Digitalni blizanac je virtualni kopija nekog stvarnog fizičkog sustava. Za razliku od 3D modela digitalni blizanac sadrži još i razne komponente interneta stvari. Najčešće su to pametni roboti, senzori, aktuatori i razne druge komponente. Digitalni blizanac ima veliku ulogu u modeliranju procesa jer pomoću njega možemo simulirati i testirati proces u virtualnom okruženju. Ovo nam može uštedjeti puno vremena i financijskih sredstava pogotovo kod nekih kompliciranih i velikih pogona gdje nas svaka greška kod testiranja može značajno unazaditi u pogledu vremenskih rokova i financijskih sredstava. Zato kod digitalnog blizanca u tom slučaju samo resetiramo simulaciju i možemo nastaviti s daljnjim testiranjem. U diplomskom radu smo izradili digitalnog blizanca unutarnjeg prostora fakulteta iz gustog oblaka točaka, te simulirali proces prijenos tereta pomoću mobilnih robota i napravili analizu u ovisnosti o nekim parametrima. Sve to ostvarili smo u programu Visual Components. A digital twin is a virtual copy of some real physical system. Unlike the 3D model, the digital twin also contains various components of the Internet of Things. These are most often smart robots, sensors, actuators and various other components. The digital twin has a big role in modeling the process because with it we can simulate and test the process in a virtual environment. This can save us a lot of time and money especially with some complicated and large production where every test error can significantly set us back in terms of time and money. Therefore, in the case of the digital twin we only reset the simulation and we can continue with further testing. In the thesis, we created a digital twin of the interior space of the faculty from a dense point cloud and simulated the process of load transfer using mobile robots and made an analysis depending on some parameters. We achieved all this in the Visual Components program.

U svijetu Interneta stvari količina podatka i kompleksnost prerasta mogućnosti računalnog oblaka. Selidbom poslužiteljskih resursa i usluga bliže samim podatcima radni okvir računarstvo na rubu rješava mnoge probleme s kojima se susreće klasični oblik računalnog oblaka. No, računarstvo na rubu donosi nove izazove. U sklopu rada [3] predloženo je rješenje koje rješava probleme adaptivnog usmjeravanja toka podataka u okolini računarstva na rubu. Predložena je arhitektura sustava koja rješava probleme ulaska komponente u sustav, prilagodbe usmjeravanja toka podataka i oporavka od ispada usluge sustava. Za implementaciju arhitekture korištena je komunikacijska metoda objavi-pretplati s pretplatama na sadržaj s dodatkom poruke najave objave. Ovaj rad direktno se nadovezuje na taj rad na način da razvijeni softver i predloženu arhitekturu testira i analizira koristeći klaster K3s. Alat K3s sve se više i više koristi u okruženjima računarstva na rubu jer je između ostalog za razliku od Kubernetesa jednostavniji i zahtjeva manje memorijskih resursa što ga čini jako dobrim kandidatom za jedan takav sustav. U studijskom primjeru ovog rada prikazuje se način korištenja predstavljenih alata te se ispituje prilagodba upravljanja toka podataka prilikom ispadanja usluge sustava. With the continuous increase of data size and complexity in the world of the Internet of things, edge computing comes as an alternative solution for problems faced by the cloud. Edge computing brings computational and memory resources closer to the data source which significantly decreases latency time and increases service response time, availability and security. The paper [3] introduces an architecture for edge computing that solves the problem of adaptive data stream routing in the edge computing environment. A system architecture is proposed that solves the problem of a new component entering the system, adaptation of data stream routing, and recovery from system service outages. For architecture implementation, the publish/subscribe communication method supporting content-based subscriptions and announce messages is used. This thesis goes a step further in investigating the proposed solution by setting it in a cluster environment created by K3s. K3s is a perfect tool for a distributed environment with resource-constrained nodes because it is a lightweight version of Kubernetes that can run almost everywhere. The case study of this paper tests the proposed solution.

Sustav nadzora elektroinstalacija u podatkovnim centrima podržan Internet stvarima bila je tema ovog rada. U razvoju podatkovnog centra sudjeluju brojne grane inženjerstva koje su u najosnovnijem obliku objašnjene u ovom radu. Zatim je objašnjena struktura podatkovih centara. Navedena dva poglavlja su potrebna za razumijevanje što sustav upravljanja zgradom (BMS) obuhvaća i kako funkcioniraju sve tehnologije potrebne za njegovu izvedbu. Cilj ovog rada bila je implementacija i testiranje IoT proširenja za SCADA sustav. Prilikom implementacije korištene su tehnologije navedene u radu i otkriveno je kako trenutne tehnologije još uvijek nisu dovoljno pouzdane za komercijalnu uporabu. Monitoring system of electrical installations in data centers supported by Internet of Things was the topic of graduate thesis. During the development of the data centers many branches of engineering colaborate and work together. Basics of the branches and the structure of the data centers are explained in the first half of this thesis. This explaination is needed to understand how building management system (BMS) works and what is needed to build it. The goal of this thesis was to implement and test out IoT features of the SCADA system. During the implementation technologies used are mention in the thesis. Conclusion is that the current technologies are still not reliable enough for comercial usage.

Internet stvari tehnologija je koja sve više pronalazi svoju primjenu u svakodnevnici. Jedno od područja u kojoj je od velike koristi je poljoprivreda. Razvija se područje pametne poljoprivrede kojoj je cilj optimizirati i poboljšati procese na način da se iz poljoprivrede izvuče maksimum, a da se pri tome uštedi na resursima, bilo ljudskim, bilo materijalnim. Obrada na rubu općenito je od velike važnosti zbog brže obrade podataka i bržeg djelovanja. Strojno učenje također je tehnologija koja raste i zadire u svaki kutak života. U radu su istražene njegove primjene u sklopu Interneta stvari u pametnoj poljoprivredi. Također, istreniran je model strojnog učenja koristeći algoritam nasumične šume čiji je cilj predvidjeti količinu usjeva na temelju očitanih vrijednosti sa simuliranog senzora. Predviđanje i primanje podataka vrši se na rubnom čvoru. Rezultati pokazuju da model može predvidjeti u kojem periodu postoje usjevi, no slabije predviđa konkretnu vrijednost količine usjeva. Opisana su moguća poboljšanja koja bi mogla rezultirati točnijim predviđanjima. The Internet of Things is a technology that is increasingly finding its use in everyday life. One of the areas where it is of great benefit is agriculture. The area of smart agriculture is being developed, the goal of which is to optimize and improve processes in such a way as to get the most out of agriculture, while saving on resources, either human or material. Edge computing is generally of great importance for faster computing and action. Machine learning is also a technology that is growing and penetrating every corner of life. The paper investigates its use within the Internet of Things in smart agriculture. Also, a machine learning model was trained using a random forest algorithm aimed at predicting crop yield based on values read from a simulated sensor. Predicting and receiving data is done at the edge node. The results show that the model can predict in which period the crops are present, but less predicts the specific value of the amount of crops. Possible improvements that could result in more accurate predictions are described.
