According to Ibn Sina, knowledge occurs when the perceiver acquires the intellectual form of the perceived object. The perception of the material depends on the abstraction of these intellectual forms. Perception, based on the degree to which the perceptual form is abstracted from its material components, is divided into sensory, imaginary, and intellectual categories. Ibn Sina views the human soul as inherently intellectual, with its primary function being the acquisition of intellectual knowledge. Other types of perception are considered material and exist within the soul only through its connection to the body. Reasoning has a close connection with the active intellect (al-ʿaql al-faʿʿāl), which serves as the catalyst for the emergence of intellectual forms and the intellectualization of the perceiver. In current interpretations of Ibn Sina's work, abstraction is deemed a necessary condition for intellectual knowledge, and it plays an essential role in the process of acquiring intellectual knowledge. Nevertheless, there are instances in his work where intellectual knowledge is achieved without abstraction, solely through a connection (ittiṣāl) to the active intellect.

The tourism cluster is certainly a key sector study for any mainland or island economy. The paper reviews the extent and emerging perspectives on and approaches to tourism cluster and island economy. We adopted a systematic literature review using a bibliometric approach, focusing on the creation of maps and networks of visualization of intellectual structure in the period of 30 years (1987-2017), through the Web of Science database. The authors identify and classify the various theoretical lenses in the domain of cluster tourism and insular economy and suggest the future research agenda. The paper contributes by conceptually categorizing and mapping the extant research into five groups of clusters or approaches to the tourism cluster and insular economy: i) impacts; ii) islands; iii) satisfaction; iv) insularity, and v) tourism. The authors argue that tourism is undoubtedly the sector linked to island regions and that is an engine of the economy of an island.

The author makes an attempt to analyze the anthropological views of Mieczysław A. Krąpiec in order to show the reasons why some elements of the structure of man as a person—resulting from the human mode of access to truth, goodness, beauty and religion—are essentially significant for determining the common good that lies at the foundation of all forms of human social life. He analyzes such parts of the human person’s structure as intellectual knowledge, will for the good, love, religion, personal dignity, ontic completeness and legal subjectivity.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the development of pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) of science teachers with different teaching experience on acids and bases and offer new domains of PCK which describe the relationship between PCK and emotional characteristics of teachers and their intellectual knowledge in science teaching. The research was carried out with the participation of six science teachers with different teaching experience. In the selection of participants, teaching the subject of acids and bases at least once, three and ten times, and being willing to participate in the study were the required criteria. Face to face interviews, videos and classroom observation forms, a pedagogical content knowledge form and academic follow-up forms are the assessment tools that were used in the study. It was found out that the teachers' intellectual knowledge and positive emotional characteristics contributed to their pedagogical content knowledge. Teachers who were able to create effective learning environments with sufficient level of intellectual knowledge and positive emotional characteristics had more qualified pedagogical content knowledge. These properties had a significant role in students' understanding. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The entrance of Child in school is a crucial moment in his life, given to the "status" and "role" of pupil, the nature of relationships with adults and colleagues, the novelty of activity conditions and especially the specific of learning - a very complex act. Although the specific features that define the specific profile of the pupil cannot be formed as such in terms of life and work of preschoolers, some incentives of these features can and should be formed in kindergarten because they constitute a condition to adapt to school life and start learning systematic as a core activity. Obviously, that even "scholar intelligence" of what depends largely the success in learning and which in Piaget's concept designates the dynamic balance between assimilation and accommodation requirements at this school (expressing the degree of adaptation to the school activity type of the pupil ) cannot be structured as such before the child enters first grade. Intellectual preparation process begins with the accumulation of knowledge, a process that still maintains, but is related to the formation of moral, social child's personality. Rightfully it is estimated that acquiring knowledge is one of the most important ways of adapting the child in our society. The main goals targeted in the experiment were the formation and improvement of the intellectual skills through knowledge transfer, under the influence of exercise and positive strengthening by determining the effectiveness, advantages, limitations on training, strengthening and perfecting intellectual skills at preschoolers. The research objectives focused on the strategy of pedagogical research linked to specific purposes, namely to objectives operational formulated. The sample of subjects is represented by 26 preschoolers from the big group at School of Poiana Codrea, Satu Mare County. The scope of the organized activities with preschoolers was not to teach certain concepts systematically, but to practice their knowledge processes of forming their intellectual skills. After the experiment was applied it was observed that the intellectual skills cannot be left to the informal-accidental procurement level, their training should be an earlier concern, systematic and phased of the teacher, from kindergarten to university. 21.

The paper presents evidence that Roger Bacon was endeavouring to structure what he considered as a “new metaphysics”. Moreover, it identifies the Opus maius as Bacon’s new preliminary text in metaphysics and morals. The evidence is found in the Communia naturalium and in the Communia mathematica, in which one finds a reference to the Opus maius as a sketch for a new metaphysics. From part seven of the latter work, namely, the Moralis philosophia, one can see that Bacon views the latter work as closely connected to his new metaphysics. In fact, the material in the Communia mathematica connects his studies on languages to the communication of his moral vision. I present a review of the sources for the different parts of the Opus maius. This is followed by an account of Bacon’s philosophical sources. It becomes clear that Bacon was acquainted with Plato’s Meno, Phaedo and part of the Timaeus with Calcidius’s Commentary. The variety and significante of his Neo-Platonic sources is outlined. It turns out that Bacon was not an Avicennian substance-dualist. Moreover, the paper demonstrates the extent to which Bacon’s criticism of Averroes was based on his natural philosophy. Bacon presents an account of human intellectual knowledge which is clearly based on and refers to his account of human perceptual knowledge in his Perspectiva. He uses his account of an integrated perceptual and intellectual human individual being to question the Latin Averroist’s claim that there is one possible intellect for all human beings.

THEORY of knowledge , *RESEARCH & development , *TECHNOLOGICAL innovations , *IMMATERIALISM (Philosophy) , *INTENTIONALITY (Philosophy) - Abstract
This article approaches a much studied subject from several disciplines. But it does so from under a less explored aspect: the characterization of human knowledge as an act of the spirit and, therefore, open to empirical and metaempirical--or immaterial- realities. The main objective of this essay is to demonstrate the fact that research and innovation, which are highly boosted and potentialized in several institutional spaces, cannot be separated from a vision of the intellectual knowledge that understands them within their genuine dimension, which is an act of the spirit, open to the whole reality and characterized by its immediacy, immateriality and intentionality. At the same time, the essay intends to remark that research and innovation are inextricably united to freedom and to the admiration foran intelligence that is free of the impositions of the techno system. To meet the objectives, the exposition consists of two parts: The first is about the nature or the essence of human knowledge and the second refers to freedom and admiration as conditions for research and innovation. The demonstrative argumentation of the philosophical speech is used all over the development of the subject. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
