In Mexico, indigenous migrants' conditions in urban areas are particularly difficult. Too many cases exist in which they are not well versed in or are completely unfamiliar with the language spoken in the cities where they arrive. The author analyzes the kind of injustice that the lack of consideration of their linguistic difference represents, since the denial of their mother tongue limits them as active citizens in the national community. She underlines that this is an adaptive strategy in the face of discrimination and rejection and that they are not simply facing a linguistic displacement, outside the political sphere. - Abstract
Introduction. This article results from the worry for social and environmental issues in the search for acknowledging diversity as a richness of the social to present environment of humanity. Objective. Among its objectives, there is to present an approximation to social, environmental and cultural realities of indigenous communities in Latin America and, specifically, in Colombia, those ancestral communities living in La Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta (SNSM)6. Materials and methods. In the socio-education environmental analysis, the methodology has been doubly reflexive dialogues, with contributions of ethnography and symbolic interactionism, having the community in its territory as a referent, because in that place, individuals are inserted; they belong to that territory and interact with different elements of nature; they have a better connection with such a population due to their approach to their social environmental and cultural realities. Results. As a relevant aspect, it was concluded that: Indigenous communities for several centuries were subject to invisibility conditions, a situation which has been partially overcome due to organizational changes and to permanent fights of people; in the last twenty-five years, it has been noted that education implemented in indigenous communities has played an important role in its configuration and survival as people, since it keeps its social cohesion and balance relations with nature; for this reason, the acknowledgment of their population dynamics is very important in this type of process. Conclusion. Finally, it can be stated that education being implemented in indigenous communities plays an important role in configuration and survival as people, since it keeps social cohesion and balance relations with nature. 17. De la Peña e i parrocos de indios: educazione e conversione nel Nuovo Mondo (XVII secolo).

- Abstract
During the First Modern Age, Catholic missionary activities were often conceived and conducted as educational tasks, addressed toward populations considered to be ignorant and low educated, that should be integrated in the bosom of the Church. The purpose of this work is to arise some considerations about the educational meaning of the missionary activity according to the mindset of Alonso de la Peña Montenegro (1596- 1688), bishop of Quito, in his book Itinerario para parrocos de indios (1668). From de la Peña's descriptions emerges that Indians were abuse victims and lived in a condition of religious ignorance; they were practicing idolatry and sorcery, some of them were atheistic. In the New World not only Indians were ignorant but sometimes even priests that due to a condition of ignorance they do not understand the Indians' cultures. Despite this, priests had to civilize Indians and conquer their faith; these purposes could only been reach if they had assumed a model behavior and if they had studies indigenous languages. Their mission culminated in the religious education and in the administration of the sacrament of penance. By doing that, they would have converted souls and supported the transformation of their behaviors, shaping individuals and building Catholic societies. Mit der Studie ICILS 2013 konnte erstmals international vergleichend für Deutschland untersucht werden, inwiefern Unterschiede in den mittleren computer-und informationsbezogenen Kompetenzen zwischen Achtklässlerinnen und Achtklässlern mit und ohne Migrationshintergrund vorliegen. Im Ergebnis wurden zum Teil erhebliche Kompetenzunterschiede deutlich, die allerdings zumindest teilweise bzw. für bestimmte Schülergruppen unter Kontrolle weiterer Variablen statistisch an Bedeutsamkeit verloren. Das vorliegende Kapitel nimmt anknüpfend an ICILS 2013 erneut die migrationsspezifischen Disparitäten in den computer- und informationsbezogenen Kompetenzen von Achtklässlerinnen und Achtklässlern in den Blick und fokussiert in diesem Kontext nicht nur auf eine Beschreibung der Ergebnisse der Studie ICILS 2018, sondern auch auf einen Vergleich mit den Befunden aus ICILS 2013. Als Grundlage und zur Verortung der hier präsentierten Ergebnisse des zweiten internationalen Vergleiches im Rahmen der Studie ICILS 2018 zu computer- und informationsbezogenen Kompetenzen von Achtklässlerinnen und Achtklässlern mit und ohne Migrationshintergrund werden im Folgenden zunächst Einblicke in den nationalen und, wo möglich, internationalen Forschungsstand zu migrationsspezifischen Disparitäten in den Kompetenzen im Umgang mit digitalen Medien, der Nutzungshäufigkeit von sowie den Einstellungen zu digitalen Medien gegeben und vorliegende Forschungsbefunde zum Zusammenhang der Kompetenzen der Schülerinnen und Schüler mit und ohne Migrationshintergrund mit bisher schon als relevant identifizierten Prädiktoren fokussiert (Abschnitt 2). Bevor daran anknüpfend die ICILS-2018-Ergebnisse zu diesen Bereichen präsentiert werden, wird in Abschnitt 3 erläutert, mit welchen Indikatoren der Migrationshintergrund in ICILS 2018 erfasst wird. In Abschnitt 4 werden dann die zentralen ersten Ergebnisse der Studie ICILS 2018 zum Zusammenhang zwischen dem Migrationshintergrund und den computer- und informationsbezogenen Kompetenzen der Achtklässlerinnen und Achtklässler sowie zu ausgewählten Prädiktoren berichtet. Nicht zuletzt vor dem Hintergrund der ICILS-2013-Ergebnisse kann vermutet werden, dass die Begründung für Zusammenhänge in den unterschiedlichen an der Studie teilnehmenden Ländern sehr differenziert zu betrachten ist, da sich wie auch in anderen Schulleistungsstudien unterschiedliche Zugänge zur Einwanderungspolitik in den Ländern widerspiegeln. RESUMO Introdução. Este artigo surge das preocupações pelos temas sociais e ambientais na busca do reconhecimento da diversidade como enriquecimento do ámbito social da humanidade. Objetivo. Entre seus objetivos está, o poder apresentar uma aproximação às realidades sociais, meio ambientais e culturais das comunidades indigenas na América Latina e, de maneira particular, no ámbito colombiano, as que tem por território ancestral a Serra Nevada de Santa Marta (SNSM). Materiais e métodos. Na análise socioeducativo-meio-ambiental se há tido como metodologia as estáncias dialógicas duplamente reflexivas, com os aportes da etnografia e o interacionismo simbólico, tendo como referente à comunidade na sua territorialidade, dado que ai se encontram insertos os individuos, que pertencem a ela e interagem com os distintos elementos da natureza; de ali, sua pertinência para a aproximação às realidades sociais meio ambientais e culturais de ditas populações. Resultados. Como aspectos relevante se pôde concluir que: As comunidades indigenas durante vários séculos foram submetidas a condições de invisibilidade, situação que se há ido superando parcialmente pelas mudanças organizacionais e às lutas constantes dos povos; nos últimos vinte e cinco anos se há denotado que a educação que se implementa nas comunidades indígenas joga um papel importante na sua configuração e supervivência como povos, já que mantém sua coesão social e uma relações de equilíbrio com a natureza; dai a importáncia que tem este tipo de processo o reconhecimento das suas dinámicas populacionais. Conclusão. Finalmente, se pode afirmar que a educação que se implementa nas comunidades indígenas tem um papel importante na sua configuração e supervivência como povos, já que mantem sua coesão social e umas relações de equilíbrio com a natureza., Introduction. Como aspectos relevante se pôde concluir que: As comunidades indigenas durante vários séculos foram submetidas a condições de invisibilidade, situação que se há ido superando parcialmente pelas mudanças organizacionais e às lutas constantes dos povos; nos últimos vinte e cinco anos se há denotado que a educação que se implementa nas comunidades indígenas joga um papel importante na sua configuração e supervivência como povos, já que mantém sua coesão social e uma relações de equilíbrio com a natureza; dai a importáncia que tem este tipo de processo o reconhecimento das suas dinámicas populacionais. Conclusão. Finalmente, se pode afirmar que a educação que se implementa nas comunidades indígenas tem um papel importante na sua configuração e supervivência como povos, já que mantem sua coesão social e umas relações de equilíbrio com a natureza.

ZEP : Zeitschrift für internationale Bildungsforschung und Entwicklungspädagogik 19 (1996) 3, S. 19-22, 1994 führte das Landesinstitut für Schule und Weiterbildung eine schriftliche Befragung zur interkulturellen Weiterbildung an Volkshochschulen, Familienbildungsstätten und Einrichtungen in anderer Trägerschaft durch. Die Ergebnisse wurden mit einer Programmauswertung aus dem Jahr 1985 verglichen. Unter Interkulturellen Veranstaltungen und Projekten wurde solche verstanden, die Einheimische und Migranten (Ausländer/-innen, Aussiedler/-innen, Flüchtlinge usw.) zusammenführen mit dem Ziel, Kontakte zu knüpfen, sich über unterschiedliche kulturelle Lebensweisen auszutauschen, gemeinsame Interessen zu erkennen und zu verwirklichen, sich gemeinsam gegen Fremdenfeindlichkeit und Gewalt einzusetzen usw. Ziel der schriftlichten Befragung war es, eine aktuellen Überblick über Angebote interkultureller Weiterbildung in Nordrhein-Westfalen zu erhalten. (DIPF/Orig.)

Zeitschrift für Entwicklungspädagogik 16 (1993) 3, S. 8-16, Das Anliegen im Rahmen des Projektes "Fremde Heimat" war es, eine Auseinandersetzung mit dem konkreten Zusammenleben von Einheimischen und Flüchtlingen in den einzelnen Gemeinden auszulösen. Der Österreichische Informationsdienst für Entwicklungspolitik (ÖIE) war in diesem Rahmen auch bemüht, die entwicklungspolitische und globale Perspektive der Thematik aufzuzeigen. In diesem Artikel beschränken die Autoren ihren Bericht beispielhaft auf eine Gemeinde, nämlich St. Margarethen an der Raab.
