ALGORITHMS - Abstract
This paper aims to map out how the field of dynamic capabilities has developed since the seminal studies by Teece et al. (1997) and Eisenhardt and Martin (2000). We identified 10,838 papers and used the Latent Dirichlet Allocation algorithm for topic modeling. We conducted two analyses: the first was based on the temporality and characteristics of the studies; the second was interpretative and based on the network of theoretical concepts. Results indicate an approximation between the ideas of the two seminal studies, which were initially viewed as opposite. We observe a movement to value relational issues, following a collective construction path, and paying less attention to the firm itself. Overall, we were able to understand the consolidation of the dynamic capabilities field; understand the core elements involved in the development of dynamic capabilities; set out the original and current concepts of dynamic capabilities; and indicate tendencies and a possible future research agenda. - Abstract
This article investigates how entrepreneurs manage uncertainty and learning in partnerships between startups and large firms. Using a qualitative longitudinal retrospective methodology, including documentary analysis and multiple case studies, it explores the processes entrepreneurs use to handle perceived uncertainty during such partnerships. The results show that entrepreneurs employ various strategies to frame uncertainty as either an opportunity or threat, identify barriers in open innovation partnerships, and learn through uncertainty management.

Introduction: Family members of patients admitted to an Intensive Care Unit present high uncertainty level due to not knowing what is happening and to not having clear details about the related events; therefore, interventions are required to allow modulating those levels. Objective: To evaluate the effect of an educational Nursing intervention compared to conventional care on the uncertainty of family members of patients hospitalized in an ICU. Materials and methods: An experimental study with a sample comprised by 132 relatives of patients admitted to an ICU, randomly distributed in four Solomon groups (33 in each group). The Nursing intervention based on the concepts of the Uncertainty in Illness Theory was applied to both experimental groups and devised under the Whittemore and Grey parameters with three moments: assessment; education about the relative's hospitalization in the ICU; and accompaniment. This was done with pre-assessments for two groups and post-assessments for the four groups, using the PPUS-FM Uncertainty Scale. The data were analyzed by means of descriptive statistics and respective non-parametric analyses. The study took into account the ethical principles in research. Results: The family members in the experimental groups presented a lower final uncertainty level when compared to the control groups, with a difference of 73.04 points and a p-value of 0.001. Discussion: Standardized interventions and under a theoretical model allow reducing uncertainty in relatives of patients in ICUs. Conclusions: The Nursing intervention based on the Uncertainty theory allows reducing uncertainty in relatives of patients hospitalized in an Intensive Care Unit. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article discusses a study that introduces an interval method for evaluating Armenia's export dynamics in uncertain economic contexts. The study focuses on export forecasts and interval forecasts to improve accuracy in assessing economic indicators during uncertainty. The analysis shows that the EAEU market offers more favorable export growth compared to the global market during uncertainty, and the interval method significantly improves forecast accuracy. The research highlights the importance of prioritizing trade relations with specific countries and the economic significance of finished product exports. It provides insights into Armenia's export-oriented growth prospects and offers a practical guide for policymakers, emphasizing the importance of modernization, collaboration, and economic competitiveness, particularly in smaller economies.

The intolerance of uncertainty factor is a construct that implies difficulty for the individual in dealing with unforeseen contexts. The literature indicates that intolerance of uncertainty can have a negative impact on well-being, especially when experiencing an unexpected context, such as the Covid-19 pandemic. From this perspective, this study aimed to perform a synopsis of what has been studied about the intolerance of uncertainty in higher education students during the Covid-19 pandemic through a scoping review. Data was collected in the EMBASE, MEDLINE/PubMed, Web of Science, PsycINFO, and CINAHL databases using descriptors in English. From the application of eligibility criteria performed by two judges, nine studies were selected. The three main research topics of the studies analyzed were the relationship between intolerance of uncertainty and 1. characteristics involving mental health, 2. fear, and 3. academic activities and career aspects. Most studies showed a lack of tolerance for uncertainty as a predictor of negative factors. In addition, it was found that no interventions directed toward the construct were carried out in the studies. The present review highlights the ability to tolerate uncertainty as a relevant component to be evaluated in students and the importance of carrying out psychological interventions aimed at the intolerance of uncertainty in precarious contexts.

COVID-19 pandemic , *SARS-CoV-2 , *INFORMATION technology , *STOCK companies , *ECONOMIC sectors , *DEMAND forecasting - Abstract
The worldwide pandemic of the new coronavirus is an external event that has been impacting economic sectors, with the technology sector being positively impacted by an increase in demand for products and services related to information technology. Motivated by the essentiality of the information technology sector, this study aims to analyze the behavior of stock returns of companies in the information technology sector listed on B3 during the Covid-19 pandemic. Descriptive methodology was used, with a quantitative approach for data analysis, regarding the procedures, it was classified as an event study. The initial sample comprised 14 firms from the information technology sector listed in Brazil, Stock Exchange, Counter (B3) and plus the Ibovespa index, 9 firms were eliminated for not presenting results throughout the analyzed period, leaving the final sample with 5 firms, with daily data for the period from 03/12/2019 to 03/12/2021 (2,766 daily observations). The results suggest that the Covid-19 pandemic affected the returns of the information technology sector, which after the start of the pandemic presents returns higher than the Ibovespa Index, however, when analyzing the persistence of returns, the results are significant in only some months. - Abstract
This article focuses on the socio-environmental problems and their different aspects, which have intensified in the context of the pandemic, emphasizing their relationship with the temporal dimension in which their development is taking place. The argumentative axis concentrates on those elements of the system which, from the perspective of this research, are seen as impediments to mitigating its deepening, despite the scientific evidence of its possible consequences, anticipated since the middle of the 20th century. This could be considered "the chronicle of a crisis foretold". In order to account for this, the paper is organized around the analysis of the main contradictions and dimensions that account for the context of the emergence of the environmental rupture, and the definition of some of its possible dilemmas, delineated on the margins of a future of uncertain configuration, Este artigo enfoca os problemas socioambientais e seus diferentes aspectos, que se intensificaram no contexto da pandemia, enfatizando sua relação com a dimensão temporal em que seu desenvolvimento está ocorrendo.

In monetary economies the dynamics of the economy are determined by firms that make decisions based on the level of production and investment, according to expectations. The paper aims to evaluate the impact of uncertainty on the Brazilian economy for the period from 2003 to 2015. It discusses the impact and the way of conducting economic policy with reference to conventional behavior theory. The results show that the uncertainty persists on average between 4 and 5 months, and can reach 7 months. Moreover, the political dimension can be a source of stability or uncertainty, which through conventions reduces or prolongs the impulses arising from uncertainties. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This is a reflection whose objective was to present and discuss the search for the theoretical framework for the analysis of the master's thesis entitled: "The illness of nursing professionals by Covid-19". The discussion took place from three thematic categories: COVID-19 and nursing professionals; Nursing theories; and The illness of nursing professionals in the light of the Disease Uncertainty Theory. The reflection clarified that illness due to COVID-19 presents an immensity of uncertainties, which reflect as a lack of clarity and inadequacy in the cognitive state, evidencing the Disease Uncertainty Theory as an adequate theoretical framework for reading this phenomenon.

COVID-19 pandemic , *NUCLEAR weapons , *ENVIRONMENTAL refugees , *WAR , *PSYCHOANALYSIS - Abstract
The theme of transience admits a wide range of meanings involving psychoanalysis from various perspectives. This article tackles the challenges and anxieties involved in living and working during the Covid-19 pandemic. It considers the notion of time "out of joint" and living with uncertainty, both implied in a different notion of time in psychoanalysis as characterized by rupture in continuities. The paper focuses on the impact of these facts on the processes of subjectivation. Themes of migration and refugees and the issue of climate change in times of uncertainty such as the present are also discussed. Interwoven are reflections on war conflicts, highlighting the ideas of Hanna Segal, who pleaded for peace and against the use of nuclear weapons. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Contudo, o baixo valor associado do R² sugere novas investigações considerando agrupamentos aleatórios.

The aim of this article is to analyze the possible existence of overprotection, its social impact, and its effects on the quality of life of people with Wolfram syndrome. The research method is mix: quantitative and qualitative. The quantitative study is based on a correlationaldescriptive observational design. The sample consisted of 31 patients aged between 15 and 46 years, diagnosed with Wolfram syndrome in Spain. The quality of life of the patients was analyzed through a questionnaire and the social behaviors of overprotection through a structured ad-hoc interview. On the other hand, a qualitative questionnaire on risk perception and social uncertainty was made. The social uncertainty to which families are subjected leads them to sometimes take overprotective behaviors. However, our results show that this happens more in the group of patients without partners, as well as in the scale absence of overload and free time. The group of people with a partner has greater social support, less overprotection, greater physical/psychological well-being, absence of work overload/leisure time and overall quality of life. DECISION making , *COGNITION , *AMBIVALENCE , *STATISTICS , *PROBABILITY theory - Abstract
This study investigates whether biases present in informal statistical cognition are similar between professionals working at the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and a non-randomized comparison group in the population. Five hundred and twelve participants answered an online questionnaire with registration items and situations involving probability, risk, uncertainty, or ambivalence. Three hundred thirty cases returned the questionnaire with more than 50% of the items answered, being 85 linked to the IBGE and 245 from the noncasual comparison group. The results revealed that the biases are not distributed in a generalized way, as predicted in the literature, the variable "currently working with statistics" may have significantly less bias. However, the low associated value of R² suggests further investigations considering random clusters. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Introduction: The surgical treatment of organ removal seems to meet a number of pathologies that emerge as health needs of populations. In this context, the state of uncertainty is installed. Objective: To investigate the uncertainty in illness in surgical patients of organ removal. Method: Cross-sectional study developed with patients admitted to the surgical outpatient clinic of a university hospital. Sociodemographic and clinical variables were collected, in addition to applying Mishel uncertainty in illness scale. Results: The profile of medical diagnoses in the 60 participants showed that the most frequent diseases were the neoplasms. As for the scale application, 68% of the participants presented scores greater than or equal to 80 points. The value found for the Cronbach's Alpha was 0.842. The surgical procedures abdominal hysterectomy and mastectomy, which were the most prevalent for the participants, are associated with uncertainty domains. Conclusions: High levels of uncertainty demonstrated the need for the management of this condition. The psychosocial aspects of surgical treatments are disregarded at the expense of the clinical restoration, circumstances that neglect the patient's emotional suffering. The improvement of communication between the health professional and the patient can influence to prevent the manifestation of the lack of information, one of the forms of expressing uncertainty. Aspects such as the patient's socioeconomic profile, educational level and income must be taken into account in the surgical treatment of organ removal. The uncertainty experienced by these patients needs to be better known and widely disseminated to gain prominence in the health care setting. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

PHYSICS teachers , *TEACHER training , *CRITICAL literacy , *DISTANCE education , *SECONDARY education , *TEACHER education , *EDUCATIONAL films , *PROFESSIONAL ethics - Abstract
Faced with the disruptive educational scenario caused by the health crisis caused by covid-19, the different educational levels were forced to move from face-to-face education to emergency remote teaching. As a consequence, the teaching practice of future physics teachers for secondary education should have been carried out in a scenario of exceptionality and hyper-complexity. Socio- educational context is characterized by virtual intercommunications in conditions of isolation and socio-educational distancing. To face it, the teacher training was based on a d-learning experience. This educational case report article systematizes and analyzes a d-learning techno-pedagogical experience and the teaching practice recording devices used. The results of the experience emphasize the need to implement training models integrating the characteristics of the training scenario in the educational matrix to promote critical professional literacy based on the professional knowledge of the teachers and the techno-pedagogical knowledge.
