Background and Aim: Nursing care is complex and critical, making it vital to communicate health information using standardized methods. By using the SBAR (Situation - Background - Assessment - Recommendation) method, nurses can provide a complete and clear clinical picture of the patient's condition to the nurse receiving the patient. Conducting a shift handover audit allows for a comparison of the current shift handover process with the standard procedure, enabling the identification and resolution of any issues. Improving the shift handover process is crucial for the effective transfer of health information and addressing challenges that may arise during shift work delivery. The present study was conducted to investigate the effect of promoting changes in nursing shift work on the satisfaction of nurses in the emergency department of at Baqiyatallah Hospital in Tehran, Iran. The standard SBAR tool was utilized for this purpose. Methods: The present study is a semi-experimental study conducted before and after an intervention on 35 nurses who were randomized based on entry criteria in the emergency department of Baqiyatollah Hospital in Tehran from 2023 to 2024. Initially, the delivery of shift work in the emergency department and nurses' satisfaction levels were assessed through a questionnaire. Subsequently, the current situation was compared with the SBAR checklist, and an SBAR training program for nurses was developed based on identified deficiencies. Following the training sessions, a review of the materials and clarification of any issues were conducted. Subsequently, the practical application of shift delivery on patients' beds was assessed using the SBAR checklist. All participants were then asked to complete the nurses' satisfaction survey once again. Results: This study revealed that the SBAR score after the intervention (49.49) was significantly higher than the average SBAR score before the intervention (21.31) (P<0.05). Additionally, the satisfaction scores of nurses after the intervention were significantly higher than those of nurses before the intervention (P<0.05). Conclusion: Implementing the SBAR standard method for shift work delivery addresses the challenges faced in nursing shift work and enhances the nursing care process, ultimately boosting nurse satisfaction. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a shift to remote work-from-home (WFH) setups, including in the education sector. This transition had a significant impact on the interaction between students and instructors. To address this, our study aims to investigate the effects of the sudden transition to online learning on teaching methodology and to propose improvements to enhance its quality. We have developed a scoring system to evaluate teaching quality in the post-COVID-19 world. The scoring function incorporates various metrics, including students' performance, sentiment towards the course (course material, teaching method, communication, etc.), feedback scores for weekly lectures, and students' retention scores for recorded/live lecture videos. Following the Lean Six Sigma (LSS) procedure (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control—DMAIC), we assessed the overall quality of online courses. The undergraduate courses demonstrated an increase in overall score from 86.67% during the online transition to 90.0% after implementing the suggested improvements. For graduate courses, the initial face-to-face lecture score was 55.81%, which dropped to 50.28% during the first online transition. However, after a year, the score improved to 61.59%, indicating successful improvement efforts. Upon careful analysis of the data, this paper provides suggestions to enhance students' online learning experience during situations similar to the COVID-19 pandemic. Non-adherence to tuberculosis (TB) treatment poses a significant challenge, leading to multidrug-resistant TB and extensively drug-resistant TB. Addressing TB treatment non-adherence is crucial for curing individual patients, controlling TB spread, and reducing TB drug resistance. This study aimed to enhance TB treatment adherence through the application of the Behaviour Change Wheel. The BCW guide was followed to develop the intervention strategy for improving TB treatment adherence among patients. The process involved eight steps across three stages: understanding the behavior, identifying intervention options, and determining content and implementation options. Stage 1 data comprised 16 interviews with TB patients, three with TB district managers, eight with facility operation managers, eight with facility TB focal persons, and three focus group discussions with 18 direct observed treatment supporters. Findings from Stage 1 informed the intervention strategy development. A one-day stakeholder workshop, guided by Stages 2 and 3 of the BCW model, was conducted. The COM-B model analyzed results to identify necessary changes. The BCTv1 taxonomy helped select appropriate behavior change strategies for the intervention. The intervention strategy, named Adherence Improvement Management Strategy (AIMS), was developed through the stakeholder workshop, integrating insights from both approaches and guided by the last two stages of BCW. AIMS involves door-to-door campaigns by community health workers, distributing patient information leaflets to patients, communities, and family members. The BCW framework proved valuable in developing an intervention strategy to enhance TB treatment adherence among patients. Recent research indicates that AIMS is well-structured, patient-centered, coordinated, accessible, safe, and of high quality.

Vocabulary is important in English language instruction, as it is indispensable for comprehending and articulating thoughts, necessitating a diverse array of classroom learning techniques, innovative pedagogical methods, and multimedia integration, and encourages teachers to try new methods, like using songs to help students get better at words. This research focuses on the effectiveness and how well students remember the vocabulary by lyric songs counted with percentage. This research will measure the dependent variable before and after exposure to the treatment, the total vocabulary in the pre-test and post-test, to see the improvement of song lyrics and check their memorization. This study uses a quantitative approach by pre-test, treatment, and post-test conducted with 34 participants in seventh grade Junior High School students. This research found that 85% of students improved their vocabulary through song with 56,15% of improvement. It means song is an effective learning medium for learning vocabulary. The production of phenyllactic acid (PLA) has been reported by several researchers, but so far, no mention has been made of augmented PLA production using an orchestrated assembly of simple techniques integrated to improve lactic acid bacteria (LAB) metabolism for the same. This review summarizes sequentially tailoring LAB growth and metabolism for augmented PLA catalysis through several strategies like monitoring LAB sustenance by choosing appropriate starter PLA-producing LAB strains isolated from natural environments, with desirably fastidious growth rates, properties like acidification, proteolysis, bacteriophage-resistance, aromatic/texturing-features, etc.; entrapping chosen LAB strains in novel cryogels and/or co-cultivating two/more LAB strains to improve their biotransformation potential and promote growth dependency/sustainability; adopting adaptive evolution methods designed to improve LAB strains under selection pressure inducing desired phenotypes tolerant to stress factors like heat, salt, acid, and solvent; monitoring physico-chemical LAB fermentation factors like temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen content, enzymes, and cofactors for PLA biosynthesis; and modulating purification/downstream processes to extract substantial PLA yields. This review paper serves as a comprehensive preliminary guide that can evoke a strategic experimental plan to produce industrial-scale PLA yields using simple techniques orchestrated together in the pursuit of conserving time, effort, and resources. Abstract Background The International Medical Prevention Registry for Venous Thromboembolism (IMPROVE) Bleeding Risk Score is the recommended risk assessment model (RAM) for predicting bleeding risk in acutely ill medical inpatients in Western countries. However, few studies have assessed its predictive performance in local Asian settings. Methods We retrospectively identified acutely ill adolescents and adults (aged ≥ 15 years) who were admitted to our general internal medicine department between July 5, 2016 and July 5, 2021, and extracted data from their electronic medical records. The outcome of interest was the cumulative incidence of major and nonmajor but clinically relevant bleeding 14 days after admission. For the two-risk-group model, we estimated sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictive values (PPV and NPV, respectively). For the 11-risk-group model, we estimated C statistic, expected and observed event ratio (E/O), calibration-in-the-large (CITL), and calibration slope. In addition, we recalibrated the intercept using local data to update the RAM. Results Among the 3,876 included patients, 998 (26%) were aged ≥ 85 years, while 656 (17%) were hospitalized in the intensive care unit. The median length of hospital stay was 14 days. Clinically relevant bleeding occurred in 58 patients (1.5%), 49 (1.3%) of whom experienced major bleeding. Sensitivity, specificity, NPV, and PPV were 26.1% (95% confidence interval [CI]: 15.8–40.0%), 84.8% (83.6–85.9%), 98.7% (98.2–99.0%), and 2.5% (1.5–4.3%) for any bleeding and 30.9% (95% CI: 18.8–46.3%), 84.9% (83.7–86.0%), 99.0% (98.5–99.3%), and 2.5% (1.5–4.3%) for major bleeding, respectively. The C statistic, E/O, CITL, and calibration slope were 0.64 (95% CI: 0.58–0.71), 1.69 (1.45–2.05), − 0.55 (− 0.81 to − 0.29), and 0.58 (0.29–0.87) for any bleeding and 0.67 (95% CI: 0.60–0.74), 0.76 (0.61–0.87), 0.29 (0.00–0.58), and 0.42 (0.19–0.64) for major bleeding, respectively. Updating the model substantially corrected the poor calibration observed. Conclusions In our Japanese cohort, the IMPROVE bleeding RAM retained the reported moderate discriminative performance. Model recalibration substantially improved the poor calibration obtained using the original RAM. Before its introduction into clinical practice, the updated RAM needs further validation studies and an optimized threshold.

Large reductions in anthropogenic emissions of particulate matter and its precursor emissions have occurred since the enactment of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990. The Interagency Monitoring of Protected Visual Environments network has measured PM2.5 gravimetric mass (mass of particles with aerodynamic diameters less than 2.5 μm, also referred to here as fine mass, "FM") and speciated PM2.5 aerosol composition at remote sites since 1988. Measured species include inorganic anions such as sulfate, nitrate, and chloride, carbonaceous aerosols such as organic (OC) and elemental carbon (EC), and elemental concentrations used to estimate fine dust (FD). Trends in seasonal and annual mean mass concentrations were calculated from 2000 through 2021, a period that includes the largest reductions in emissions. On average, annual mean FM at remote sites in the continental United States has decreased at a rate of −1.8% yr−1. This reduction is largely due to annual mean trends in sulfate (−6.1% yr−1), nitrate (−2.7% yr−1), EC (−2.2% yr−1), FD (−1.3% yr−1), and OC (−0.9% yr−1), although the OC annual mean trend was insignificant. Seasonal and regional mean FM trends varied significantly, with strong reductions in the East in all seasons due to sulfate reductions, and flat and insignificant trends in summer and fall in the West due to the influence of biomass burning emissions on OC trends. Evaluating regional and seasonal mean trends in aerosol composition helps identify sources that continue to adversely impact air quality and hinder progress in FM reductions due to successful regulatory activity. In order to continue to make progress in improving air quality in the United States, targeting future sources for emission reductions will require accurate assessments of the contributions from these sources. The use of digital media is one of the topics recommended in the Platform Merdeka Mengajar (PMM), a teacher-independent learning platform and a benchmark in the implementation of the Curriculum Merdeka. In this study, the researcher used an artificial intelligence called a chatbot Kuki application. Chatbots are automated conversational agents that can interact with users in natural human language and provide support anytime, anywhere. Kuki is an embodied Artificial intelligence bot designed to befriend humans in the Kuki, formerly known as Mitsuku. The researcher first carried out pre-observation to show students' English achievement. The result is that students' English achievement is still in the low category. Mostly students stated that media in learning is a factor in low achievement. The objectives of this study are to find out: 1) whether the use of Chatbot Kuki can improve students' English achievement. 2) students' engagement in applying the Kuki Chatbot, 3) Students' perception of the usage of chatbot Kuki and how learning steps are taken by using chatbot Kukis, and 4) The steps of Learning English by using Kuki Chatbot in the class. The research conducted Qualitative research by using two classes, namely Experimental and Control classes. Both of the classes are given a pre-test and post-test to see the students' achievement. The student's engagement is based on three dimensions: cognitive, behavioural, and emotional engagement. Student engagement is observed by an observation sheet; students' perceptions are used in a Likert scale analysis, and a validation test is performed to see the learning steps in using the Kuki Application. The result of the study is that there is an improvement in students' English achievement in experimental classes. The Students' engagement is active, and the perception of the students is positive. This quantitative study identified the difference between the performance of ten (10) pupils of Bintuan Elementary School. Purposive sampling was employed to identify learners with reading difficulty in this study. The data gathered in this study were subjected to statistical analysis with the aid of Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) software. Weighted mean was used to identify the mean performance of the respondents during the pre-test and posttest; the Wilcoxon Ranked Sign Test to find out the difference between the performance of the respondents before and after the implementation of Project YAKAPPP and to test the null hypothesis at 0.05 level. As revealed in the study, there is a significant difference between the performance of the Grade 4 pupils before and after the implementation of Project YAKAPPP. Using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, z (-2.214) is higher than the critical region, 0.27. Therefore, the H0 is rejected, and the Ha is accepted. Project YAKAPPP significantly impacts the performance of the Grade 4 pupils in Bintuan Elementary School. The researcher found out the reasons for their reading difficulties and the following are the suggestions and recommendations: teachers should provide reading materials that are interesting and suited to their abilities and interests; the school should have a teacher who is trained in special education; parents should be supportive when it comes to the education of their children; School-based feeding program should also be continued; and the internet connection should also be improved. The purpose of this research is to determine whether using the IMPROVE learning approach can improve students' ability to think critically mathematically. This experimental research used a pretest-posttest control group design. This research involved all students in class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Peukan Baro. Two classes, class XI MIPA 1 and class XI MIPA 2, were selected as experimental and control samples. This study uses questions to test students' mathematical critical thinking skills. After the prerequisites for testing were met, the data were analyzed using an independent t-test at a significant level of 0.05. According to the results of data analysis, the value of tcount = 3.839, and the value of Sig. 2-tailed = 0.00043, and the Sig. 1-tailed = 0.000215, because the Sig. 1-tailed = 0.000215 < α = 0.05, which indicates that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted

The study was conducted from August until September 2020 with the aim of improving speaking skills through the storytelling method of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Merauke, which amounted to 17 students. This study uses a class-action research design. Data collection is done with observations, tests, and documentation. The data is analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The results showed that the application of storytelling methods can improve students' speaking skills. The improvement of speaking skills can be seen in storytelling activities in learning that have fulfilled the minimum learning completion is 71. The results of the study obtained in the speaking skills of students in pre-cyclical who achieved completion only 7 people (41.8%). In the following learning, the storytelling method is demonstrated by the teacher. The yield of completion was seen to increase in cycle I, which reached 10 people (58.9%). In cycle II, there was an increase in completion to 15 people (88.24%). Thus, the application of the storytelling method can improve the speaking skills of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 3 Merauke. The difficulty of teaching and learning in the topic of Indonesian history that frequently occurs in class X IPS 1 of SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Lala, namely the students' lack of interest and attention to the presentation. Students prefer to redirect their attention to other activities, maybe as a result of boring teaching tactics that cause students to become bored. This study is a class action research (CAR) that was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle has four stages: preparation, activity, observation, and reflection. Colleagues made observations utilizing the observation sheet given. The findings revealed that students in the first cycle succeeded in improving their learning outcomes in Indonesian history, pupils that successfully finished the KKM grew to 23 pupils, or 71.88%, with an average learning accomplishment score of 74.84. The learning results of Indonesian History improved in cycle II, with all students, namely 32 students, attaining the KKM and being pronounced 100% complete with their studies, with an average score of 85.34. Based on these findings, it can be said that the use of Infocus media and power point slides may effectively and efficiently increase the learning outcomes of Indonesian History for class X IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Lala, which is carried out in two cycles. We can increase kids' comprehension of reading texts and help them read correctly through literacy learning. The sort of study that will be employed is class action research (CAR). The National Disease Control and Prevention Bureau and the National Health Commission jointly issued an announcement on Notice on Carrying out Pilot Work of Occupational Health Classification Supervision and Law Enforcement, which presented a method of comprehensive risk assessment method of occupational disease hazards of employers. This method embraces relevant factors at full scale and is simple in operation, but its applicability and accuracy of assessment results need further practical study. Based on the steps of occupational health risk assessment and proven occupational health risk assessment methods available at home and abroad, this paper proposed improvements and discussed the comprehensive risk assessment method of occupational disease hazards of employers, so as to provide a technical basis to implement the occupational disease hazard classification management of employers for relevant government supervision departments.

The purposes of this study were to describe and analyze the strategies for improving the quality of Arabic language education in BLU State Islamic Higher Education at UIN SATU Tulungagung and UIN Maliki Malang. The main problem faced by BLU (Public Service Agency) organizers, including PTKIN (State Islamic Higher Education Institution) that has BLU status, is the lack of alignment in understanding among stakeholders. UIN SATU Tulungagung and UIN Maliki Malang have successfully implemented specific strategies in managing their BLU campuses. This qualitative study used theoretical orientation/perspective analysis method with a phenomenological approach. The strategies implemented in UIN SATU Tulungagung included: a) Forming a BLU acceleration unit, b) Funding for improving the quality of Arabic language education which came not only from UKT, and c) BLU UIN SATU Tulungagung supported the improvement of the quality of Arabic language education with a principle of not being profit oriented. The strategies implemented in UIN Maliki Malang consisted of three strategies: a) National Contribution, providing solutions to community problems while considering the priority of achieving UIN Maliki Malang's target criteria; b) International Reputation, accelerating the achievement of UIN Maliki Malang's target criteria as a research university and world-class university; and c) Organizational Transformation, ensuring the successful implementation of PKBLU by adhering to the principles of transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, and fairness.

Dust storms are increasing in frequency and correlate with adverse health outcomes but remain understudied in the United States (U.S.), partially due to the limited spatio‐temporal coverage, resolution, and accuracy of current data sets. In this work, dust‐related metrics from four public areal data products were compared to a monitor‐based "gold standard" dust data set. The data products included the National Weather Service (NWS) storm event database, the Modern‐Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications—Version 2, the EPA's Air QUAlity TimE Series (EQUATES) Project using the Community Multiscale Air Quality Modeling System (CMAQ), and the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service global reanalysis product. California, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona, which account for most dust storms reported in the U.S., were examined. Dichotomous and continuous metrics based on reported dust storms, particulate matter concentrations (PM10 and PM2.5), and aerosol‐type variables were extracted or derived from the data products. Associations between these metrics and a validated dust storm detection method utilizing Interagency Monitoring of Protected Visual Environments monitors were estimated via quasi‐binomial regression. In general, metrics from CAMS yielded the strongest associations with the "gold standard," followed by the NWS storm database metric. Dust aerosol (0.9–20 μm) mixing ratio, vertically integrated mass of dust aerosol (9–20 μm), and dust aerosol optical depth at 550 nm from CAMS generated the highest standardized odds ratios among all metrics. Future work will apply machine‐learning methods to the best‐performing metrics to create a public dust storm database suitable for long‐term epidemiologic studies. Our study compares four publicly available data products to determine which is most suitable for large‐scale population studies of dust storms in the southwestern U.S. Using dust‐related variables from these products, the study evaluated relationships with a previously validated "gold standard" data set that identifies dust storms only on certain days and at certain locations. The study found that the dust‐related variables from the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) product had the strongest associations with the "gold standard," followed by the National Weather Service storm events database, a long‐term model run from one of the Environmental Protection Agency's air quality models (CMAQ—EQUATES), and one of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's data sets (MERRA‐2). Specifically, variables from CAMS that were based on daily maximum values of dust particles in the air performed the best. Future work will apply complex computer‐based methods to the best‐performing exposure metrics to create a public dust storm database suitable for use in long‐term population health studies. The problem with this research is the students found difficulties in reading comprehension, especially in finding the main idea of a text. The students also lack the motivation to read the text in English. Those difficulties made the students cannot fully understand the text they read. The research aims to improve students’ reading comprehension in analytical exposition text using Student Team Achievement Division (STAD). The subjects of this study were 36 students in eleventh grade at SMAN 103 Jakarta. This research only consisted of one cycle that consist of two meetings. Each cycle consists of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The data collecting technique used in this research was test, observation, and questionnaire. The result showed that there are improvements in the average score of the students. The score in the pre-test was 70.5 improved to 84.2 in the posttest. Using Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) also made students motivated and teamwork improved along with their individual skills. The questionnaire also showed that the students responded positively to Student Team Achievement Division (STAD), and it showed from the questionnaire result that 58% of students gave positive feedback. The result of this research indicates that the use of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) can improve students’ reading comprehension in analytical exposition text. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

It is essential to improve students' numeracy literacy skills to apply concepts in everyday life and interpret information correctly, so interactive learning media is needed to support this. However, teachers need to be more optimal in using interactive learning media so that numeracy literacy skills are low. This study aimed to develop interactive media based on Adobe Flash Media CS6, the development used as ADDIE. The stages of this research model include Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results of this study indicate that the development of interactive learning media based on Adobe Flash CS6 can improve numeracy literacy skills. This can be seen from the average percentage of validity of 87% with very valid criteria, media expert validation of 78.3% with valid criteria, and practitioner validation of 94.2% with very valid criteria, besides that the average percentage of practicality obtained from the results of the black box testing questionnaire on five different types of android devices and types, 100% was successfully used. The percentage of effectiveness was 0.49, and the criteria were moderate. For this reason, interactive learning media based on Adobe Flash CS6 can be used as alternative learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah to improve numeracy literacy skills. Kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa penting untuk ditingkatkan agar siswa dapat mengaplikasikan konsep dalam kehidupan sehari-hari serta menginterpretasi informasi dengan baik, sehingga diperlukan media pembelajaran interaktif untuk mendukung hal tersebut. Namun guru belum maksimal dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran interaktif sehingga kemampuan literasi numerasi rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan media interaktif berbasis adobe media flash cs6, pengembangan yang digunakan adalah ADDIE. Adapun tahapan dari model penelitian ini meliputi: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis adobe flash cs6 dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari rata-rata persentase kevalidan sebesar 87% kriteria sangat valid, validasi ahli media sebesar 78,3% kriteria valid, dan validasi praktisi sebesar 94,2% dengan kriteria sangat valid, selain itu rata-rata persentase kepraktisan yang diperoleh dari hasil angket uji coba blackbox testing pada 5 perangkat android yang berbeda jenis dan tipe sebesar 100% berhasil digunakan dan persentase keefektivan sebesar 0,49 kriteria sedang. Untuk itu media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis adobe flash cs6 bisa digunakan alternatif pembelajaran di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi.

The process of assembling micro components requires careful planning where precise and reliable data collecting is necessary due to a short production cycle time. After determining the shortages of the current data monitoring system, in this paper, by using the "Improve" and "Control" phases of DMAIC cycle, the development and later testing of a new tool for automatic capture and analysis of data obtained from the machine was done. SWOT analysis was used to establish the production site's and current manufacturing execution system strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats, which were then utilized to create the newly developed solution accurate and feasible. A tool calibration data was obtained on 9 machines in automotive company's micro component assembly unit. To confirm the accuracy of the data, a RunAtRate test was done on the machines, and by using hypothesis testing, the initial reliability of the new solution was determined. Further testing and comparison revealed that the newly proposed tool recorded 73-80% greater downtime and 40-50% more defective parts than the previously installed system. Accordingly, the usefulness of the proposed Lean Six SIGMA tool is confirmed, and for periodic accuracy checks and further improvement, it is necessary to apply the PDCA cycle.

Objective Aiming at the issues of non-running expander, non-optimized main process parameters and difficult operation in large-scale natural gas cryogenic process facility, the approaches of expander commissioning, optimizing main process parameters in natural gas liquid (NGL) recovery unit to improve ethane recovery rate are researched. Methods Based on process models by Aspen HYSYS simulation software, the effects of expander commissioning and optimizing main process parameters such as low-temperature separator (LTS) temperature, reflux lean gas flow rate, sub-cooled gas flow rate on improving ethane recovery rate and the practical ethane production are compared and investigated respectively. Results The LTS temperature has been optimized to the range of 68.8 °C to -68.0 °C. The reflux lean gas temperature and flow rate have been adjusted to the range of 101, 45 °C to 100.05 ℃ and (7.38-7.60) X 104 m³/h, respectively. The sub-cooled gas temperature and flow rate have been adjusted to the range of 101. 48 ℃ to-100. 45 °C and (7. 45-7.63) 104 m³/h, respectively. After the above applications of these efficient measures in the natural gas cryogenic facility and field test, annual NGL production has already increased 175 600 tons. Conclusions After the implementation of these measures, the ethane average recovery rate has been increased from 30% to more than 90%. Aquaculture is becoming increasingly responsible for supplying fish for human consumption and has rapidly turned into one of the significant food production sectors globally. The aim of this study was to evaluate consumer perceptions of aquaculture products in order to improve growth of small businesses in Phetwane and Kaapmuiden communities, South Africa. Primary data were collected through face to face interviews using a semi-structured questionnaire. Descriptive statistics and Binary Logistic Regression (BLR) model on the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25 was used to test significance of purchasing behaviour. The results showed that education level positively and significantly influenced the respondent's decision to buy catfish. Quality, red meat, poultry and fish negatively and significantly influenced the respondents' decision to purchase catfish. The Hosmer and Lemeshow test had a p-value less than 0.004, and it was statistically significant. This means that the model was appropriate from data, and goodness of fit measures may produce the same results constantly. Information gathered from this study was useful for guiding policy makers, economists and retailers to enhance aquaculture and develop sustainable small businesses. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract Dust storms are increasing in frequency and correlate with adverse health outcomes but remain understudied in the United States (U.S.), partially due to the limited spatio‐temporal coverage, resolution, and accuracy of current data sets. In this work, dust‐related metrics from four public areal data products were compared to a monitor‐based “gold standard” dust data set. The data products included the National Weather Service (NWS) storm event database, the Modern‐Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications—Version 2, the EPA's Air QUAlity TimE Series (EQUATES) Project using the Community Multiscale Air Quality Modeling System (CMAQ), and the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service global reanalysis product. California, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona, which account for most dust storms reported in the U.S., were examined. Dichotomous and continuous metrics based on reported dust storms, particulate matter concentrations (PM10 and PM2.5), and aerosol‐type variables were extracted or derived from the data products. Associations between these metrics and a validated dust storm detection method utilizing Interagency Monitoring of Protected Visual Environments monitors were estimated via quasi‐binomial regression. In general, metrics from CAMS yielded the strongest associations with the “gold standard,” followed by the NWS storm database metric. Dust aerosol (0.9–20 μm) mixing ratio, vertically integrated mass of dust aerosol (9–20 μm), and dust aerosol optical depth at 550 nm from CAMS generated the highest standardized odds ratios among all metrics. Future work will apply machine‐learning methods to the best‐performing metrics to create a public dust storm database suitable for long‐term epidemiologic studies.

This thesis focuses on the issue of glare during helicopter night navigation, which is caused by the high reflectivity of cockpit instruments, displays, and windshield surfaces. This can result in pilot eye fatigue and pose a serious threat to flight safety. To address this problem, a bionic moth eye antireflection structure is designed and prepared on the windshield glass surface using a combination of self-assembly and reactive ion beam technology. The aim is to reduce the surface reflectivity of the windshield glass and prevent glare. The anti-reflective structure comprises of conical structures with a size cycle of 15 nm and a structure height of 2000 nm. The surface of both sides is microstructured, resulting in a reduction of surface reflectivity from 8% to 0.5% at the wavelength of 300 nm to 800 nm. The passing rate is increased from 92% to 99.5%, and the applicable angle is greater than 50°). The anti-glare ability is improved by about 16 times. This thesis proposes a solution to the problem of glare during helicopter night navigation by designing and implementing a bionic moth eye antireflection structure on the windshield glass surface using self-assembly and reactive ion beam technology. The results show a significant reduction in surface reflectivity and improved anti-glare ability, which can contribute to enhancing flight safety.

The library is the most important part of an institution because the library is very far from the ancient system with now, so the use of this library is very urgent in the world of education in general and in the world of students in particular. With a library system that is used in a professional way, superior and outstanding students will be formed. This study focuses on how the model of student empowerment in reading, library management in increasing reading interest, supporting and inhibiting factors of library management in increasing students' interest in reading at MTs Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Bandung Diwek Jombang. This research is qualitative research. While the data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data display, and data verification. The model of empowering students in reading at MTs Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Diwek Jombang can be simulated with several points, namely programming for reading, motivating, and coaching the reader. In the management of the library at MTs Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Diwek Jombang there are several things that are carried out as functions of management, namely planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. The inhibiting factor for library management in increasing students' reading interest is that it can be influenced by several factors, namely management management is still not carried out optimally, collections of books or library materials have not been maximized, human resources or librarian staff, and facilities and infrastructure.

Software is present in any modern device and is one of the most important components of a new product. IoT systems for smart homes have become more popular in recent years, and testing these systems using advanced methods is very important because it should improve software quality from the beginning of development, resulting in a faster product development overall and a better user experience for the client. In this paper, we describe methods of how to build fast quality assurance software for automation testing in comparison with current trends. Those methods are applicable to teams that are using custom test automation frameworks and working in big projects. The methods have already been applied with success in testing infotainment systems in the automotive industry and our custom-made smart-home IoT system. We will present the system and testing techniques used for testing web interfaces, mobile applications, cross-platform mobile applications, and backend using a new design pattern, called 'Locate, Execute, Expect'. We compare this new design pattern against Page Object Model and will guide you on how to integrate it in an existing project or how to use it with Gherkin. In conclusion, we will see the main advantages of using this technique and how much faster it is in a real-life scenario, we will learn how it can replace Gherkin, and we will also see the main disadvantages. IMPROVE Bleeding Risk Score (BRS) is known to be validated and widely accepted in medical patients. However, its relevance in surgical patients has so far not been explored. External validation of the IMPROVE BRS on bleeding in surgical patients can hopefully improve clinical practice (for surgical patients). Data from 6986 surgical patients were collected from the DissolVE-2 cohort. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to assess the incidences of major bleeding and any bleeding among surgical patients within 14 days of admission. A cut-off value of BRS ≥7 indicated a higher risk of bleeding. Risk factors associated with major and any bleeding were analysed by the Cox regression method. Model discrimination was evaluated by area under the receiver operator characteristic curves (AUC). Calibration curves and Hosmer-Lemeshow χ2 statistics were used to measure the difference between predicted and observed bleeding risks. A total of 6399 surgical patients were included in the final validation cohort. The cumulative incidence rate of any bleeding was 3.9 % (95 % confidence interval [CI], 3.4–4.5), of which the incidence rate of major bleeding was 1.2 % (95 % CI, 0.9–1.6). Among patients with a BRS of ≥7, 16.3 % reported any bleeding, and 26.3 % reported major bleeding. The IMPROVE BRS had a better discriminative power (AUC = 0.69) and excellent goodness of fit (Hosmer-Lemeshow test, P = 0.208) for the prediction of major bleeding events as compared with any bleeding (AUC = 0.55; Hosmer-Lemeshow test, P = 0.004). The calibration plot suggested a more accurate prediction for major bleeding events. Moreover, the IMPROVE BRS had a higher AUC value of 0.83 and better goodness of fit (P = 0.2616) for major bleeding in patients undergoing abdominal surgery than other surgery types. The IMPROVE BRS is a simple and practical technique that can help in predicting the risk of major bleeding in surgical patients, improving functional and safety outcomes of hospitalized patients with surgery. Purpose: The study aimed to research the promoting effects of Tai Chi exercise on working memory capacity and emotional regulation ability among college students. Methods: Fifty-five participants were recruited and randomly divided into the Tai Chi group and control group. The Tai Chi group had a 12-week Tai Chi training to implement intervention, while the control group performed non-cognitive traditional sports with the same exercise intensity as the Tai Chi group. The visual 2-back test of action pictures and the Geneva emotional picture system test were performed before and after the trial, which aimed to examine whether the action memory of Tai Chi training can improve individuals’ working memory capacity and emotion regulation ability. Results: After 12 weeks, a significant difference was observed in Accuracy Rate (AR) (F = 54.89, p ≤ 0.001) and Response Time (RT) (F = 99.45, p ≤ 0.001) of individuals’ Visual Memory Capacity between the Tai Chi group and the control group. Significant effects in Time (F = 98.62, p ≤ 0.001), Group (F = 21.43, p ≤ 0.001), and Interaction (Groups × time; F = 50.81, p ≤ 0.001) on Accuracy Rate (AR) of the Visual Memory Capacity were observed. The same effect was observed again on the Response Time (RT) of the Visual Memory Capacity, Time (F = 67.21, p ≤ 0.001), Group (F = 45.68, p ≤ 0.001), Interaction (groups × time; F = 79.52, p ≤ 0.001). Post-hoc analysis showed that at the end of 12 weeks, the participants in the Tai Chi group had significantly higher Visual Memory Capacity than those in the control group (p < 0.05). After 12 weeks, valence difference (F = 11.49, p ≤ 0.001), arousal difference (F = 10.17, p ≤ 0.01), and dominance difference (F = 13.30, p ≤ 0.001) in the emotion response were significantly different between the control group and the Tai Chi group. The effect of valence differences in Time (F = 7.28, p < 0.01), Group (F = 4.16, p < 0.05), and Time*Group (F = 10.16, p < 0.01), respectively, was significant in the Tai Chi group after 12-week intervention. Post hoc analysis showed valence swings in the Tai Chi group were significantly lower than that in the control group (p < 0.05); The effect of arousal difference in Time (F = 5.18, p < 0.05), Group (F = 7.26, p < 0.01), Time*Group (F = 4.23, p < 0.05), respectively, was significant in the Tai Chi group after 12-week intervention. Post hoc analysis showed arousal fluctuations in the Tai Chi group was significantly lower than that in the control group too (p < 0.01); As the same, the effect of dominance differences in Time (F = 7.92, p < 0.01), Group (F = 5.82 p < 0.05) and Time*Group (F = 10.26, p < 0.01), respectively was significant in the Tai Chi group. Dominance swings in the Tai Chi group were significantly lower than that in the control group (p < 0.001). Conclusion: The data support our speculation that action memory training in Tai Chi exercise may improve individuals’ working memory capacity, and then improve their emotion regulation ability, which has provided insightful information for customized exercise programs for emotion regulation in adolescents. Thus, we suggest those adolescents who are experiencing volatile moods and poor emotion regulation attend regular Tai Chi classes, which could contribute to their emotional health. Shift hand-off is a daily task that is done routinely. A thoroughly integrated shift handoff not only maintains patient's well being, but also sustains a high quality patient care. It had occurred in our nursing unit that duplicated records, missing content, and incorrect information were noted in the shift hand-off process. These factor had prolonged shift handoff time significantly. Analysis showed that the information during shift hand-off was only 59% accurate. Investigation indicated several elements causing this inefficient and inaccurate shift hand-off: (1) The mismatch of the information presented in a traditional (paper written) format with the electronic format; (2) No universal protocol ; (3) Unfamiliarity toward computer usage in accessing information; (4) Delayed computer processing time; (5) Inability to record patient data promptly due to busy clinical errand; and (6) Personal issues. The results of a literature review led to a specific "shift hand-off" process: (1) Providing a shift hand-off course during on the job orientation; (2) Establishing a creative "shift handoff" protocol; and (3) Integrating a simple" shift hand-off" slogan. After implementting our improvement program, effectiveness of shift hand-off improveed from 59% to 88.5%, which achieved our project objective. When a management reserve occurs due to a design change in a company's outsourcing project, the additional cost is customarily only 2% to 10% of the original contract amount. If the management reserve exceeds the original contract amount by 20% to 50%, it reveals the imprudence of running the outsourcing project. Based on the company's policy requirements, an outsourcing project must finish the tender process by following the timeline of every work stage determined by the characteristics and environment of the project. This research studied the factors causing management reserve in an outsourcing project of the case company using the Six Sigma define, measure, analyze, improve, and control (DMAIC) method. The root cause was the lack of defining the specific responsibility in charge of unit, leading to insufficient communication between demand and executive departments as well as between project engineering and procurement departments in the preceding process. The preceding process must have a specific management procedure by redefining each unit's responsibility to avoid frequent design changes later. In addition, the procurement department estimated the reserve prices by analyzing the supplier's quotes using quantitative cost analysis. In the ultimate efficiency evaluation, this study verified that the improved procurement cases dramatically reduced circumstances of design change and management reserve and met the case company's due date.
