The aim of the present study was to monitor adverse drug reactions (ADRs) in the Medicine out patient department (OPD) of a University Teaching Hospital.Method: A prospective evaluation of the ADRs reported in the Department of Medicine of our University Teaching Hospital over a period of 4-months was conducted. Results: During the study period, a total of 600 patients visited the Medicine OPD and 122 ADRs were reported. Out of 122 reports that were identified, a higher percentage of ADRs in males (52.4%) was observed as compared to females (47.5%). Of the 122 ADRs, 50 were found to be mild (41.0%), 49 moderate (40.2%), and 23 severe (18.2%). A total of 71 (58.0%) ADRs were observed in patients receiving 4 or more medications concurrently. Conversely 46 (37.7%) ADRs were detected in patients using 3 or less medicines. The largest number of reports were associated with antihypertensive therapy (39.3%), followed by antimicrobials (31.1%) and antidiabetics (10.7%). Amongst the organ systems affected, gastrointestinal ADRs constituted a major component (24.7%) followed by skin reactions (22.2%). On causality assessment, nearly 29.5% ADRs were considered as probable, 33.6% possible and 6.6% could not be categorised and were placed under unassessable. Conclusion: The present work is the maiden pharmacovigilance study conducted at our university teaching hospital. The data presented here will be useful in future, long term and more extensive ADR monitoring in the hospital and in promotion of rational prescribing and drug use in the hospital.

Organizational citizenship behavior is one of the positive behaviors that employees in higher education need to have because it can have a positive impact on employees and educational institutions beyond what is expected. This research aims to determine the contribution of the organizational citizenship behavior aspect in reflecting/measuring the most dominant organizational citizenship behavior in employees at Indonesian universities and employees at Malaysian universities. The research subjects were lecturers and employees of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. The research results show that the Indonesian and Malaysian versions of the organizational citizenship behavior scale are valid and reliable. The scale can be utilized optimally as a tool for measuring organizational citizenship behavior in university employees in Indonesia and Malaysia. Further results show that organizational citizenship behavior can be reflected in four aspects, namely altruism, sportsmanship, organizational compliance, and loyalty. Organizational citizenship behavior among employees in Indonesian universities shows the most dominant dimensions of altruism and sportsmanship reflecting organizational citizenship behavior, while organizational citizenship behavior among employees in Malaysian universities shows all the dominant dimensions in reflecting organizational citizenship behavior, namely altruism, sportsmanship, organizational compliance, and loyalty. The findings of this research can contribute to higher education organizations to develop citizenship behavior both individually and in organizations that can encourage the performance of higher education employees in Indonesia and Malaysia.

Malaria continues to be a significant burden, particularly in Africa, which accounts for 95% of malaria deaths worldwide. Despite advances in malaria treatments, malaria eradication is hampered by insecticide and antimalarial drug resistance. Consequently, the need to discover new antimalarial lead compounds remains urgent. To help address this need, we evaluated the antiplasmodial activity of twenty-two amides and thioamides with pyridine cores and their non-pyridine analogues. Twelve of these compounds showed in vitro anti-proliferative activity against the intraerythrocytic stage of Plasmodium falciparum, the most virulent species of Plasmodium infecting humans. Thiopicolinamide 13i was found to possess submicromolar activity (IC50 = 142 nM) and was >88-fold less active against a human cell line. The compound was equally effective against chloroquine-sensitive and -resistant parasites and did not inhibit β-hematin formation, pH regulation or PfATP4. Compound 13i may therefore possess a novel mechanism of action.

Glamping activities have become one of the trends in the world of tourism, making many tourism industry managers compete in fulfilling this trend. Taman Danu Camp is one of the Glamping areas in Bedugul. The existence of this competition makes Taman Danu Canp have to maximize marketing strategies to increase sales of Glamping rooms. This study used data collection techniques, namely observation, library studies, questionnaires, interviews, and distributing questionnaires to obtain data. The results showed that the marketing strategy at Taman Danu Camp, SO (strength Opportunity) Strategy: strategies to increase and maintain excellence and strategies to expand market share. WO (weakness opportunity) strategy: a strategy to improve product quality and a strategy to improve service quality to tourists. ST strategy (strength threats): strategies to maintain a positive image of Glamping both in the community and in the perception of tourists and strategies to expand cooperation. WT (weakness threats) strategy: strategies to improve the quality of products and services and strategies to improve the quality of resources.

In tropical Southeast Asia, Shorea is the most economically important tree and the largest genus in the Dipterocarpaceae family. It comprises about 150–200 species, of which majority are distributed in Malaysia, with others found in Sumatra and Borneo (Kalimantan) in Indonesia. Research on the chemical constituents of Shorea plants has been ongoing for many years. To date, a total of 113 different compounds, including 83 stilbenes and their resveratrol oligomers, 18 triterpenes/terpenoids, 7 coumarins 3 flavonoids and 2 steroids have been isolated and successfully elucidated from 26 different species of this genus. The diversity of the stilbene resveratrol oligomers in the Shorea genus is primarily due to the difference in the amount of resveratrol constituent units, which include dimers, trimers and tetramers. In addition to the species’ traditional usage in the treatment of illnesses, such as diarrhea, toothaches, skin diseases, ear troubles and wounds, the extracts and secondary metabolite compounds isolated from various parts of the plant species are known to have a very potent antioxidant, antimicrobial, anticancer, anti-diabetic, anti-obesity, antiulcer, hepatoprotective and nephroprotective activities. This review aims to summarize the most recent research made from 1999 to date on the secondary metabolite compounds isolated from different species of genus Shorea, as well as the bioactivity (in vitro and in vivo) of the crude extracts and the isolated secondary metabolite compounds.

Potentially hazardous side-channels of complex geometry need to be investigated using detailed hydraulic physical models. This study aims to analyse the cross-waves pattern and pulsating flow using a side-channel spillway physical model. This study compares the cross-waves pattern were measured using an experimental installation set to generate cross-waves on the surface (original series) with another structure that did not produce cross-waves (modified series). The results showed that the geometry of the left wall caused instability in flow patterns and secondary flows. The starting point of Q 2 discharge was detected by minor turbulence on the water surface near the left wall at a water depth of 3.3 m at the starting point of the wall, but with no overtopping. Cross-waves formed downstream at the right wall crosswise, lower than at the left wall. The height of the cross-wave increased substantially from Q 100 to Q 1000 discharges leading to overtoppings near the left wall at a water depths of 4.2 and 5.0 m at the starting point of the wall, and near the right wall at a water depths of 3.8 and 4.0 m at the upstream point of the wall. The modifications provided optimal hydraulic conditions, i.e. elimination of cross-waves and non-uniform flows. The Vedernikov and Montouri numbers showed that both original and modified series did not enter the area where the pulsating flow occurred. This indicated that both series were free from the pulsating flow.

Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is an acute infectious disease that attacks livestock, thus threatening the availability of food and the husbandry industry. This paper discusses the formulation of a mathematical model for the spread of FMD in livestock with a saturated incidence rate. The research method used is quantitative mathematical modeling with simulation, with stages including problem identification, determining assumptions, model formulation, analysis and model simulation. The discussion results obtained two equilibrium points, namely the non-endemic equilibrium point and the endemic equilibrium point, and then analyzed for stability. Numerical simulation is presented using Runge-Kutta approximation with MATLAB. Furthermore, after a sensitivity analysis, the parameters that greatly influenced the spread of FMD were direct or indirect contact (which led to the entry of the FMD virus) and the supporting capacity of livestock. Then the most influential parameter in reducing the spread of FMD is the application of culling on exposed animals and infected animals. The FMD modeling is a form of mathematical application to simulate the spread of disease on livestock.

Kajian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan program strategis pembangunan daerah melalui pendekatan SWOT Balanced Scorecard. Fokus penelitian ini pada Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Daerah Kabupaten Kediri. Pemetaan program ini bertujuan untuk menjadi bahan rekomendasi penyusunan dokumen Rencana Pembangunan Daerah Kabupaten Kediri (RPJMD) periode tahun 2021-2025. Data penelitian ini merupakan data primer dari hasil observasi dan survei para pemangku kepentingan yang terlibat dalam penyusunan rencana strategis RPJMD. Sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari hasil analisis dokumen perencanaan dan laporan tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah diagram SWOT, untuk mencari posisi kuadran, yang kemudian diolah menjadi berbagai alternatif strategi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa posisi kuadran Kabupaten Kediri berada pada posisi S-T, sehingga strategi yang dipilih adalah diversifikasi. Dari hasil tersebut, peneliti membuat 4 (empat) alternatif strategi. Keempat alternatif strategi tersebut diturunkan menjadi prioritas program dan target per tahun menggunakan pendekatan Balanced Scorecard.

This experimental research was motivated by the lack of attractiveness of Arabic learning compared to other foreign language learning caused by the use of monotonous learning methods. This study aimed to determine the understanding of isim mausul after the application of the historical story of the Prophet Muhammad's migration to Medina. This study used a quantitative pretest and post test. The sample that the researcher examined was eight students of class XII Language with different educational backgrounds. The technique of collecting data through observation was by observing the teacher's way of learning isim maushul in class. conducting interviews and giving questionnaires to students about isim maushul. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used a comparison with the SPSS application which aimed to find out before and after learning isim maushul with historical stories. The result of this study indicated that the application of historical stories to learning isim maushul is quite well apllied in SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo. This was evidenced by the score at the pretest the student got an average score (42.00) which was in the less category while the score at the postest got an average value (61.50) which was in the sufficient category, therefore the difference (19.50) and showed an increase in the score previously. The researcher suggested to arabic teachers to use this method in learning isim maushul because this learning may provide the examples in daily life, so learning will be fascinating and not monotonous.

This article aims to analyze the development communication model of the Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB) in increasing the intensity of religious moderation in Medan City. Intolerance is a vital problem that damages the social order, especially in Medan City, one of the most intolerant cities in Indonesia. The urgency of this research is to find alternative solutions for a heterogeneous society to degrade intolerance. The Religious Harmony Forum has a vital role in accommodating the interests of heterogeneous communities in order to create a harmonious social space. This research uses a qualitative method with a sociological-communicative approach. The data techniques used in this research are interviews, observation, and documentation that rely on two source types, namely primary data and secondary data. This article uses analytical interpretation and content analysis techniques to process raw data and create constructive solutions. The results show that the Religious Harmony Forum of Medan City is working on various programs with three periodizations. This program is implemented through linear communication and participatory communication models. The dynamics of intolerance in Medan City have not been fully degraded, considering that there are still several programs that still need to be implemented. This program aims to encourage harmonious social intensity according to the guidance of the Qur'an, a society that puts aside religious subjectivity and is oriented toward humanity.

This paper addresses the concern over the sustainability of Indonesia as a nation, based on the unifying ideology of Pancasila. Specifically, the paper is concerned with the views and conduct of the Indonesian populace regarding the country's multifaceted diversity, as well as their perspective on the national ideology of Pancasila. Today, while some small groups consider Pancasila as an irrelevant national ideology, the majority of Indonesian people firmly believe that Pancasila has effectively served as a unifying force in the country. This is particularly evident when comparing Indonesia to other Muslim countries worldwide, which often grapple with disharmony, conflicts, civil wars, and even fragmentation. Their insights on the interplay between Pancasila and Islam have been a source of inspiration for the younger generation. Their contributions have played a significant role in establishing Pancasila as an ideology and a common platform, particularly in the face of attempts to undermine its principles. Even in the present day, their ideas continue to serve as a cohesive framework that unifies the diverse Indonesian population.

Augmented Reality (AR) technology is one of the educational applications that may be created. AR is a learning tool that may be used to integrate virtual things or objects into a natural environment to engage in real-time. English is a foreign language that must be learnt. For language assistance, pupils must acquire a sufficient command of vocabulary via reading and listening exercises. Two factors contribute to the ineffectiveness of oral communication: pupils who do not have enough vocabulary knowledge and students who do not know how to employ vocabulary non their spoken language. One of the learning media that has been developed is the AR-based English vocabulary learning application which was developed in early April 2020 to September 2020. This application aims to help elementary school students (6-12 years) in learning English vocabulary. Where in the current learning which is due to the pandemic thus making distance learning. The purpose of this study is to measure the usability of the application whose vocabulary has been developed from three aspects, namely effectiveness, efficiency and user satisfaction (ISO 9241). The results of the research conducted show that the usability level of this application is 89% effectiveness, 94% efficiency and 91% user satisfaction. So that this learning application can be said to have good usability and can be used as a supporting medium for learning English vocabulary for children aged 6-12 years independently.

Objective: In the present study, the protective effect of Roflumilast (ROF, a selective phosphodiesterase (PDE-4) inhibitor) was investigated against cadmium (Cd)-induced nephrotoxicity in rats. Methods: A total of 24 rats were selected and randomly divided into four groups (n = 6). Group 1 served as the control; groups 2–4 administered with CdCl2 (3 mg/kg, i.p.) for 7 days; groups 3 and 4 were co-administered with ROF in doses of 0.5 and 1.5 mg/kg, orally for 7 consecutive days. Nephrotoxicity was evaluated by measuring urine volume, urea and creatinine levels in urine and serum. Oxidative stress was confirmed by measuring malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione (GSH), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and catalase (CAT) levels in kidney tissue followed by histopathological studies. Results: CdCl2 administration results in a significant (p < 0.01) decrease in urine volume, urea, and creatinine levels in urine, as well as GSH, SOD, and CAT levels in renal tissue. In addition, Cd also produced significantly increased (p < 0.01) urea and creatinine levels in serum and TBARS levels in renal tissues. Rats treated with ROF significantly (p < 0.01) restore the altered levels of kidney injury markers, nonenzymatic antioxidant, as well as depleted enzymes in dose-dependent manner. An increased expression of NF-κB p65 and decreased expression of GST and NQO1 in the Cd only treated group were significantly reversed by high dose of ROF (1.5 mg/kg). Histopathological changes were also ameliorated by ROF administration in Cd-treated groups. Conclusion: In conclusion, ROF treatment showed protective effect against renal damage and increased oxidative stress induced by Cd administration. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Collaborative problem solving (CPS) has been widely used in both industry and in schools over at least the last twenty years. The Industry Hothousing variant of CPS in its adult format is an intensive, time-constrained workshop based process designed to build mutual trust between customers and industry experts in order to synergically develop creative solutions together. Its potential use in schools raises two important questions: Firstly, what degree of structure and support is required to unleash student creativity and enhance learning - as in industry or does the student need more structured methods including explicitly being taught collaborative problem solving skills? Secondly, is CPS an enrichment activity taking up additional teacher time or is it potentially cross-curricular and thus of wider benefit to teachers and students? The Hothousing CPS process for students is based on an intensive series of workshops based on trust including face-to-face and on-line collaboration supported by a facilitator. It is student-driven and addresses an open-ended challenge such as “ "How do I get my friends to LOVE STEAM?" or “Design the optimal solution to the city’s traffic problem.” or "How do I raise my friends’ interest toward learning?". Three case studies are introduced. From these it was found that student-led intensive collaboration within a trusted framework drives creativity, and is a good opportunity to experience real life challenges. Positive benefits to students and teachers are technology skills development, personal learning and thinking skills (PLTS) and enhanced perception of self and STEAM, and this benefit is cross curricular providing qualitative and efficiency gains.

In the criminal law system in Indonesia, there are two reasons why an individual suspected of having committed a crime must be released. These two reasons are justifying and forgiveness reasons. In practice, these two reasons are linked to the elimination of criminal acts based on legal justice and human rights. This article discusses the legal consequences when the judge rejects the justifying and forgiveness reasons that can eliminate the sentence. The method used in this research is normative juridical by analysing norms, principles and rules of law with a case approach. As a result, this research shows that judges in practice have the authority given by law to determine whether an action can be categorised as justifying and forgiveness reasons that eliminate punishment by referring to the principles and legal regulations for justice and human rights. However, when the judge ignores these two reasons due to considerations of lack of justice and respect for human rights, this practice can be carried out by the judge with the consequence that this decision will cause harm, suffering and misery for the accused. This article argues that to protect the public interest from wrong decisions is necessary to reform the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) to provide objectivity, honesty, and justice that rely on legal principles and rules.

This study aims to determine the implementation of service management in improving the quality of inclusive education. This research was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah 1 Tulungagung, SDI Al-Azhaar Tulungagung, and MI Modern SAKTI Tulungagung. This research uses a qualitative approach of the type of case study. The results showed that the management of inclusion education services was carried out by providing facilities and infrastructure in accordance with the needs of Students with Special Needs (PDBK), competent educators, modifying the curriculum and assessment system for PDBK, and creating a pleasant learning atmosphere. The implementation of service management in the three educational institutions has their own characteristics in accordance with the vision and mission of the school. Although there are different objectives, basically the objectives of education still refer to the quality standards specified in the applicable laws and regulations.

Membuang sampah sembarangan akan berdampak negatif bagi lingkungan seperti pencemaran lingkungan, mengakibatkan banjir serta dampak bagi kesehatan, oleh karena itu kesadaran membuang sampah beserta memilah pada tempatnya merupakan sikap yang perlu ditanamkan pada setiap masing individu. Berdasarkan survey siswa/siswi tunarungu SLBN Banjar dapat disimpulkan masih belum paham tentang pengelolaan sampah dan kurang peduli dalam membuang sampah pada tempatnya. Penyelesaian terhadap permasalahan tersebut yaitu dengan menerapkan pembelajaran pengelolaan sampah melalui pengembangan game edukasi bahasa isyarat menggunakan pendekatan siklus pengembangan game. Hasil dari pengembangan ini adalah game dengan fitur level menggunakan bahasa isyarat yaitu Level1 mengenal jenis sampah, Level2 Memilah sampah, dan Level3 recycle sampah, sedangkan fitur tambahannya Splashscreen, menu utama, pengenalan sampah, belajar SIBI, Info games. Hasil pengujian Blackbox mendapatkan hasil valid dan pengujian usability Nielsen berdasarkan aspek Learnability 80%(Baik), Efficiency 73%(Baik), Memorability 73.33%(Baik), Error 79%(Baik), Satisfaction 82.67%(Sangat Baik) sehingga rata-rata nilai pengujian usability Nielsen sebesar 77% dikategorikan baik. Abstract Careless disposal of garbage has negative effects on the environment., such as environmental pollution, resulting in flooding and impacts on health. Therefore, the awareness of disposing of waste and sorting it in its place is an attitude that must be applied to every individual. The problem is that the deaf students of SLBN Banjar can be concluded that they still do not understand waste management and are less concerned about disposing of waste in its place. The solution to this problem is to apply waste management learning through sign language educational games using a game development cycle approach. The result of this development is a game with level features using sign language, namely Level1 recognizes the type of waste, Level2 sorts waste, and Level3 recycles waste, while the additional features are Splashscreen, main menu, the introduction of waste, learning SIBI, Info games. The results of the Blackbox test get valid results and Nielsen's usability test based on aspects of Learnability 80% (Good), Efficiency 73% (Good), Memorability 73.33% (Good), Error 79% (Good), Satisfaction 82.67% (Very Good) so that the average Nielsen's average usability test score of 77% is categorized as good.

We perform first-principles calculations to investigate the adsorption process of methyl mercury (MeHg) on germanene with the presence of water molecules. We calculate the formation energy and density of states to determine the effect of the adsorption of MeHg on the structural and electronic properties of germanene. Our results show that MeHg is chemisorbed on germanene through a spontaneous reaction. The calculated formation energy of the system is -1.61 eV. We also carry out charge distribution and charge transfer calculations based on the Mulliken model to understand the adsorption mechanism of MeHg.

Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini terhadap kehidupan istri yang tidak dinafkahi suaminya, bahwa istri diperbolehkan mencari nafkah jika kondisinya mendesak. Jika suami melalaikan kewajibannya, maka kewajiban nafkah akan beralih kepada istri. Hal ini tidak mengapa dalam Islam karena tidak ada yang mengambil posisi tersebut. Microgames are rapidly gaining increased attention and are highly being considered because of the technology-based media that enhances students’ learning interests and educational activities. Therefore, this study aims to develop a new construct through confirmatory factor analysis, to comprehensively understand the factors influencing the use of microgames in mathematics class. Participants of the study were the secondary school teachers in West Java, Indonesia, which had a 1-year training in microgames development. We applied a quantitative approach to collect the data via online questionnaires through google form. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with AMOS software was used to analyze the proposed model. Empirical results confirmed the perceived easy to use and subjective norm influence (PEU and SN) relationship with teachers’ microgame usage behaviors and intentions. In this condition, SN was found to have the initial significant influence on behavioral intention (BI), as attitude, BI, and facilitating conditions also correlated with the actual use of microgames. Furthermore, the largest influential factor was BI, with the results subsequently showing that TPACK had no significant influence on the actual use of microgames. This report is expected to help bridge the gap across several previous studies, as well as contribute to the explanation and prediction of the factors influencing the teachers’ mathematical utilization of the study’s program. Besides this, it also helps to increase the use of microgames in teaching and learning activities.

This study refers to the problem study of the teaching and learning needs which requires English learning resources in order to meet the expectations of students during the ESP pandemic teaching and learning process. The fundamental goal of this research is to create effective digital English learning resources for students at the University of Serang Raya's Economics faculty. The main goals of creating a digital English coursebook based on contextual teaching-learning are to help Economics students enhance their English language skills and to meet their learning demands. This research was carried out using the PSDD model as a research and development method (Preliminary Study, Design, and Develop). The information is gathered using a questionnaire and a speech assessment form.

Sign language is used as a communication tool for deaf children. It is also used by non-disabled as a way of communicating with them. However, not all non-disabled understand sign language since knowledge of sign language is required. Based on interviews among non-disabled and deaf people, including relatives and teachers, they experience miscommunication due to the lack of communication skills using sign language and rely only on lip movements. Sign language is applied to a subject in the State Special School of Banjar City, consisting of BISINDO and SIBI with conventional learning. This research to produce game products for learning sign language can help deaf children learn sign language in schools, especially non-disabled who want to learn sign language. The method used for developing games sign language education uses the SCRUM-Game approach, UML models, BlackBox testing, and usability testing. The sprint iteration consists of two sprints that produce educational sign language games: Alphabet SIBI and BISINDO. Educational game testing uses BlackBox testing with the conclusion that all functionality valid. Usability testing of student deaf responders and non-disabled respondents for efficiency, memorability, and errors is categorized as good. Aspect satisfaction and learnability get an excellent score. Overall, the resulting educational games get a good score. Therefore it is proper to be used.

Java programming language is one of the most popular programming languages among IT developers. There are common problems in the beginning learning process such as the installation and configuration process of java software like JDK (Java Development Kit). During the online class session, it takes a lot of time and a large internet data packet to solve this problem. This research proposes a website-based system called livE (online - java Exercise). Students can practice coding and also do exams in real-time, simply by using a web browser and the internet. If lecturers want to make corrections, lecturers do not need to download student answer files. They can directly run the program code from student answers in the livE system. This indicates that the system implementation provides process efficiency in the student's job sheet exercises and lecturer's corrections. The result from the test that has been carried out shows that livE is running as expected. Usability testing shows that users are "totally agree" with system quality.

The purpose of this study is to find out the quality of services and Day-Spa facilities that correspond to user needs, especially Ubud Family Reflexology, De Spa, and Zengarden in Medan. In Medan City, day-spas are located are many located near shopping malls, elite settlements, office complex, and commercial areas. They are widely consumed by office executives, socialite mothers, college students, babies, and toddlers. In designing a spa building, it needs to observe and consider psychological users, especially consumers, it should be noted that facilities and privacy levels in the room are affecting consumer behavior. The research methods use interviewing, observing, and analyzing the document study. The results from this study indicate that day-spa buildings in Medan do not apply standard facilities and spa services.

The present study aims to identify teachers' perceptions of mobile devices use in Arabic learning at junior high schools. Employed a qualitative method with a case study, 24 Arabic language teachers from various junior high schools in the South Tangerang City involved in this study selected by using a random sampling method. Based on the teacher perspectives, the results of the study reveal that the use of mobile devices facilitates students in understanding Arabic lessons and increase their motivation for learning. Time limitations and large classroom sizes were obstacles that decrease teachers’ interest to integrate mobile devices into classroom activities. Reading is by far the main language skill taught by teachers and there is a less focus on productive skills such as speaking and writing. The students have less attention and motivation for learning Arabic while the teachers have attempted to deal with this problem by several measures.The characteristic of Arabic language differs from each context. However, whether for inside or outside classroom activities, active methods are of particular importance for Arabic learning. Arabic teaching and learning practices facilitated by mobile devices require careful planning for a successful implementation lead to more active and effective learning of Arabic.

ABSTRACT The existence of public dissatisfaction with public services causes the public to be provided with facilities to make complaints. One of the sites that can be used to make complaints is the Public Service Complaint Management System (SP4N LAPOR!). With this site, complaints made by the public can be handled quickly, transparently and accountably in accordance with the authority of each organizer. However, the large number of complaints that had to be processed caused the process of data verification and sorting of reports by respective departments to take quite a long time, so the report classification process was needed to speed up the handling and follow-up of a report. The purpose of this research is to classify each complaint report from the public in preparation for the verification process of each public report document, which is expected to have an impact on the accelerated process of handling and follow-up of each related institution or agency. In this study, Long Short-Term Memory Recurrent Neural Network was used to perform the classification process for each public report document. The learning model is evaluated using k-fold cross-validation of 10 parts of data. The evaluation results show that the average f-measure percentage is 85.69% for the balanced dataset and 79.44% for the unbalanced dataset, while the highest evaluation value of all evaluations results in an f-measure of 88.82%. The high accuracy of the modeling indicates that the proposed method can be used to classify public report documents. Salah satu situs yang dapat digunakan untuk melakukan pengaduan adalah Sistem Pengelolaan Pengaduan Pelayanan Publik (SP4N LAPOR!). Dengan adanya situs ini, aduan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat dapat ditangani dengan cepat, transparan, dan akuntabel sesuai dengan kewenangan masing-masing penyelenggara. Namun, banyaknya aduan yang harus diproses menyebabkan proses verifikasi data dan pemilahan laporan berdasarkan instansi masing-masing membutuhkan waktu yang cukup lama, sehingga proses klasifikasi laporan sangat dibutuhkan untuk mempercepat penanganan dan tindak lanjut dari sebuah laporan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengklasifikasikan setiap laporan pengaduan dari masyarakat untuk persiapan proses verifikasi setiap dokumen laporan masyarakat, yang nantinya diharapkan dapat berdampak pada proses percepatan penanganan dan tindak lanjut dari setiap Lembaga atau instansi yang terkait. Pada penelitian ini, Long Short-Term Memory Recurrent Neural Network digunakan untuk melakukan proses klasifikasi setiap dokumen laporan masyarakat. Model pembelajaran dievaluasi menggunakan k-fold cross-validation sebanyak 10 bagian data. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan rata-rata persentase f-measure sebesar 85,69% untuk dataset seimbang dan 79,44% untuk dataset tidak seimbang, sedangkan nilai evaluasi tertinggi dari semua evaluasi menghasilkan f-measure sebesar 88,82%. As Qur’an serve as guidance in Muslim life, it goes without saying that there is an obligation for parents to teach their children the ability to read the Islamic holy book. On the part of school institution, educators are expected to offer interesting teaching methods to read Qur’an so that they have an ease to acquire the ability. This study was aimed at investigating the relationship between teaching methods and students’ ability to read Qur’an. This study applied an action research to explore practical problems and to find some solutions to the problems encountered. The research subjects were 283 students of class VII at SMPN (Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri/State Junior High School) 2 Porong. This study collected data through: survey, observation, and semi-structured interviews. The findings show that students’ ability to read Qur'an can be categorized into four levels namely: Ibtida 1, Ibtida 2, Jayyid, and Jayyid Jidan. Abstract: Education in the foremost, remote, and rural (3T) regions in Indonesia is known for its various complex problems. This research aims to look at the condition of students, teachers, and learning resources in schools at the Pongok and Celagen islands. This research uses a qualitative approach by case studies. This research involved all schools in the two islands. Data collection techniques used in this researsh are documentation study techniques. The results of this research revealed that very few graduates of High School at Pongok and Celagen went to college, there were still quite a number of teachers with non-educational undergraduate degrees, and there were almost no collections of educator manuals in the school library. The problem must be a serious concern for stakeholders and the policy to be overcome gradually and continuously. Keyword: Education in rural areas, Pongok and Celagen islands. Abstrak: Pendidikan di daerah terdepan, terluar, dan tertinggal (3T) di Indonesia terkenal dengan berbagai permasalahan yang kompleks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kondisi siswa, guru, dan sumber belajar pada sekolah di daerah kepulauan Pongok dan Celagen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus. Penelitian ini melibatkan semua sekolah yang ada di kedua pulau tersebut. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa sangat sedikit lulusan siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) di Pongok dan Celagen yang melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi, masih terdapat cukup banyak guru yang berlatar belakang pendidikan strata 1 non-kependidikan, dan hampir tidak ada koleksi buku panduan pendidik di perpustakaan sekolah. Masalah tersebut harus menjadi perhatian yang serius bagi para pemangku kepentingan dan kebijakan agar segera diatasi secara bertahap dan berkelanjutan. Elderly individuals often experience physical limitations, leading to a decline in their walking ability and an increased risk of falling. Falls among the elderly are a critical issue that can be minimized by using walking aids such as a Cane. However, the use of a cane poses other risks, such as injuries like carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), caused by repetitive hand movements and changes in hand angles. The objective of this research is to select the appropriate cane handle to minimize the strain on the wrist by analyzing forearm muscle signals measured using EMG (Electromyography) combined with angle measurements using Kinovea software. The study involved 8 elderly subjects who regularly used a cane during walking gait tests. The distribution of the load during walking with the cane was assessed. The results, in the form of EMG data, were segmented based on time and angles, allowing the extraction of features using the root mean square (RMS) method. The next step involved conducting a three-way ANOVA statistical test for experimental design and identifying interactions between each factor. The findings revealed that the cane handle with a fritz-type grip, positioned posteriorly, and used during the initial phase of walking had the lowest values, measuring 50.373 μV for the fritz cane, 52.03 μV for the posterior position, and 56.74 μV for the initial angle. This indicates that a cane with a fritz handle distributes the load on the forearm towards the wrist more minimally, reducing the risk of CTS.

This Islamic law will continue to go along with the dynamics and changing of the era. The more complex real problems in society require fiqh experts to always be sensitive to reality. In producing the law, the jurists use various tools to produce laws that are in harmony with the benefit of mankind. This research is seen from the problems to be examined, the data collected is qualitative because it is in the form of thought, namely the conception of sadd al-dzarî'ah which was built by Islamic legal experts (fuqahâ 'and ushûliyyîn) in general and views on sadd al-dzarî'ah which was designed by Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jauziyah in his book I'lâm al-Muwaqqi'în. The concept of al-Dzarî'ah according to Ibn al-Qayyim can be used as an argument to establish the law. While the legal provisions of al-Dzarî'ah follow its (purpose). If the Ghâyah is in the form of benefit, then al-Dzarî'ah is opened and permitted, whereas if the Ghâyah is in the form of mafsadat, then al-Dzarî'ah is closed and prevented. The latter is what is called Sadd al-Dzarî'ah. For Ibn al-Qayyim Sadd al-Dzarî'ah, it can be used as an argument in determining the law because many texts of the Koran and Sunnah practice the concept of Sadd al-Dzarî'ah. Implicitly, these texts have legalized Sadd al-Dzarî'ah. However, if the practice in the field of Sadd al-Dzarî'ah is contrary to maslahat or hâjat, then Sadd al-Dzarî'ah is defeated. Benefits and hâjat are prioritized more than Sadd al-Dzarî'ah.

In this paper we study the effect of vaccination control, medical treatment and spraying to malaria epidemic model. Firstly the non-control malaria epidemic model is generated and the equilibrium point is determined. Afterward, the stability of equilibrium point in previous model is investigated. The research is continued by deciding the optimal control of malaria epidemic model and minimizing the cost. The results show that the control effect can reduce the subpopulation of infected human and mosquitoes.

River Region of Baru-Kluet has a steep slope contour and high rainfall so that it is vulnerable to flooding while during the dry season rice fields experience drought due to lack of water. Therefore, a dam is built to mitigate these issues. The spillway is a flow-control component in the dam which is used to improve regulation and enlarge the flow rate that will cross the spillway building. Spillway that has a steep slope is vulnerable to hydraulic behavior called cavitation. The experiment was carried out at the River and Coast Laboratory of Syiah Kuala University, Indonesia. This study aims to determine the value of the damage cavitation index interval in each series and discharge variation. Cavitation index analysis method used formula of ratio between local water pressure and flow velocity. Flow velocity and pressure at each outflow discharge was collected from the experiment. The results of the damage cavitation index interval in the 0 series and the modified series are located at level 1 for the transition region, level 3 for the launcher region and level 2 for the launcher region of modified series. It is found that the change in series 0 to a modified series with extending width in the side channel, lowering the elevation of side channel, and displacement sill in the transition channel with the aim of reducing the flow velocity. This change still has the possibility of cavitation damage, but it is much safer than the cavitation results of the 0 series. High quality of materials or concrete are not recommended because they are expensive and economically unfeasible, therefore the use of slot aeration/aerator is a suitable option for this case. Developing a prediction model from risk factors can provide an efficient method to recognize breast cancer. Machine learning (ML) algorithms have been applied to increase the efficiency of diagnosis at the early stage. This paper studies a support vector machine (SVM) combined with an extremely randomized trees classifier (extra-trees) to provide a diagnosis of breast cancer at the early stage based on risk factors. The extra-trees classifier was used to remove irrelevant features, while SVM was utilized to diagnose the breast cancer status. A breast cancer dataset consisting of 116 subjects was utilized by machine learning models to predict breast cancer, while the stratified 10-fold cross-validation was employed for the model evaluation. Our proposed combined SVM and extra-trees model reached the highest accuracy up to 80.23%, which was significantly better than the other ML model. The experimental results demonstrated that by applying extra-trees-based feature selection, the average ML prediction accuracy was improved by up to 7.29% as contrasted to ML without the feature selection method. Our proposed model is expected to increase the efficiency of breast cancer diagnosis based on risk factors. In addition, we presented the proposed prediction model that could be employed for web-based breast cancer prediction. The proposed model is expected to improve diagnostic decision-support systems by predicting breast cancer disease accurately.

Banyaknya permasalahan mengenai infrastruktur yang terjadi di Kota Malang menjadi kendala majunya suatu pemerintahan kota. Untuk menyampaikan permasalahan dari masyarakat kepada pemerintahnya perlu adanya suatu fasilitas atau media. Fasilitas ini diharapkan membantu menguhubungkan antara masyarakat dengan pemerintah kota dengan lebih efektif dan efisien. Berkenaan degan hal tersebut, sangat diperlukan suatu aplikasi untuk menunjang penyampaian aspirasi masyarakat. Aplikasi tersebut berupa aplikasi mobile yang dapat diakses oleh masyarakat secara langsung sehingga nantinya pengaduan dan keluhan dari masyarakat akan ditangani secara cepat oleh Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (Dinas PUPR). Pada penelitian ini sebanyak 30 orang yang telah menggunakan aplikasi ini, sebesar 83% mengatakan setuju bahwa adanya aplikasi ini dapat membantu pelaporan kerusakan infrastruktur di Kota Malang. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa aplikasi ini dapat mempermudah masyarakat dalam pengaduan terkait infrastruktur dan juga dapat membantu Dinas PUPR dalam menerima aduan masyarakat dan penyaluran aduan ke bidang yang menanganinya

Analisis Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) perlu dilakukan dalam rangka memahami tingkat pengetahuan guru untuk dapat mengintegrasikan teknologi pada pembelajaran abad 21. Studi ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan profil tingkat penguasaan TPACK calon guru Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan yang sedang menempuh pendidikan Strata 1 di Program Studi PPKn Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (FKIP) Universitas Pamulang. Studi menggunakan metode self-report measure dalam bentuk survei. Secara keseluruhan, tingkat penguasaan TPACK calon guru PPKn termasuk dalam kategori baik. Namun, penguasaan pada technological knowledge, content knowledge dan technological pedagogical content knowledge memiliki total nilai rata-rata yang lebih rendah. Perlu diperhatikan setiap butir pernyataan yang memiliki nilai rata-rata lebih rendah daripada total nilai rata-rata pada setiap domain pengetahuan. Setiap lembaga pendidikan tenaga kependidikan perlu melakukan analisis TPACK supaya mengetahui apakah calon guru yang sedang dididik sudah memiliki pengetahuan yang dibutuhkan untuk dapat mengajar sesuai dengan tuntutan dan karakteristik pembelajaran abad 21. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Analyzing Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) is needed to understand teachers' knowledge in term of integrating technology in 21st-century learning. This study to explore TPACK confidence of preservice civic education teachers at the Department of Civic Education, Faculty of Teacher Training And Education, Universitas Pamulang. The study used a self-report-measure method in the form of a survey. Overall, the TPACK confidence of preservice civic education teachers in a good category. However, the confidences in technological knowledge, content knowledge, and technological pedagogical content knowledge, have a lower average total score. It should noticed regarding statement items that have a lower average convictions than the technical average rating at each knowledge domain. Teacher education institute needs conducting a TPACK analysis to find out whether preservice teachers who are educated already have the appropriate teaching knowledge for demands and characteristics of 21st-century learning.

Integrated Islamic School is a school whose curriculum integrates Islamic values, skills and national curriculum. The purpose of this research is to describe curriculum design in integrated Islamic schools by taking a research site at SMPIT Insan Kamil Sidoarjo. This research uses a qualitative approach with case study. The research data obtained from interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed by reducing data, presenting data, and making conclusions. The results showed that the curriculum design in SMPIT Insan Kamil Sidoarjo emphasized the internalization of Islamic values in every national curriculum content, without overriding the national curriculum set by the Ministry of Education. The assessment process is the main objective created in the learning environment and the content of teaching materials that are loaded with Islamic values. While the purpose of the curriculum design is, so that students have a strong foundation of religious education, which boils down to the strength of aqeedah and moral perfection. Internalization of Islamic values in integrated Islamic schools is not only done through the subjects taught, but through the design of school activities programs that support the inculcation of Islamic values in students.

This study aims to analyze the significance of the direct and indirect effect of institutional ownership (INST), profitability (ROI), funding policy (DER), and dividend policy (Tobin’s Q) through investment opportunity (MV/BVE). The research data used 21 samples of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2012-2016 period. Data analysis used path analysis with the help of EViews 9 and Sobel test to know the effect of investment opportunity as an intervening variable. The interpretation findings of the first line analysis model show that Profitability directly affects positively and significantly on Corporate Value. Whereas, based on second-line analysis model, Funding Policy and Dividend Policy indirectly have significant effects on Corporate Value through Investment Opportunity variable. Simultaneously, all independent variables affect 97.45% of Investment Opportunities and amounted to 97.97% of Corporate Value through Investment Opportunities.

The study attempted to design reading materials for Medical Science at one of Vocational High Schools Medical Science in Serang. To produce satisfactory teaching materials, the researchers did the following steps: doing needs analysis, reviewing the principles of materials design and reading in a foreign language, designing course framework, designing syllabus, designing the reading materials, and implementing the sample lessons. The researchers employed qualitative methods in gathering the data. The instruments used were questionnaire and interview. The questionnaire was addressed to students, alumni, teachers and institution. The interview was collected from the companies or users that have ever recruited the graduated students. The needs analysis was carried out by distributing questionnaires. The results were then analyzed. The result of needs analysis, became the basis for the researchers to design course framework. The course framework was then developed into a syllabus. Finally the syllabus became the basis for designing reading materials. The reading materials for Vocational High School Husada Pratama applied a topical syllabus. Each lesson or unit had different topics, greeting and introduction. Introduction about nurse, health, dioalogue conversation nurse and patient, eat healthy food, profile a nurse, tools, disease, nutrition, the healthy diet pyramid. Each lesson also adopted various reading skills or strategies. They were skimming, scanning, and guessing meaning from context. When the materials had been designed, the researchers implemented six out of ten lessons of the coursebook. The results were satisfactory. Most students mentioned that the coursebook was related to their field of study. The majority of the students also said that the materials were understandable and interesting. Abstract: This study aims to gain an in-depth study of the supervision carried out by the headmaster. This study uses a qualitative approach, and the data collection techniques used are participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation studies. This research was conducted in MAN 1 Trenggalek and MAN 2 Trenggalek, East Java. The results of this study that the head of the madrasa in carrying out supervision of learning adjusts to the plans outlined in the supervision program, uses instruments and observation sheets, uses the principles of supervision, uses techniques and approaches that are varied and carried out in a pleasant atmosphere. The head of the madrasa in order to carry out strategic steps as an embryo of success in implementing learning supervision in the madrasah. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran mendalam mengenai supervisi pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh kepala madrasah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumentasi. Penelitian dilakukan di MAN 1 Trenggalek dan MAN 2 Trenggalek Jawa Timur. Hasil penelitian adalah kepala madrasah dalam melaksanakan supervisi pembelajaran menyesuaikan dengan rencana yang dituangkan dalam program supervisi, menggunakan instrumen dan lembar observasi, menggunakan prinsip-prinsip supervisi, menggunakan teknik dan pendekatan yang bervariasi dan dilaksanakan dengan suasana yang menyenangkan. Kepala madrasah agar melakukan langkah-langkah strategis sebagai embrio keberhasilan dalam pelaksanaan supervisi pembelajaran di madrasah.
