This paper presents a peer-to-peer community cost optimization approach based on a single-prosumer energy management system. Its objective is to optimize energy costs for prosumers in the community by enhancing the consumption efficiency. This study was conducted along two main axes. The first axis focuses on designing a digital twin for a residential community microgrid platform. This phase involves data collection, cleaning, exploration, and interpretation. Moreover, it includes replicating the functionality of the real platform and validating the results. The second axis involves the development of a novel approach that incorporates two distinct prosumer behaviors within the same community microgrid, while maintaining the concept of peer-to-peer energy trading. Prosumers without storage utilize their individual PV systems to fulfill their energy requirements and inject excess energy into a local microgrid. Meanwhile, a single prosumer with a storage system actively engages in energy exchange to maximize the community’s profit. This is achieved by optimizing battery usage using a cost optimization solution. The proposed solution is validated using the developed digital twin.

In recent years, Reverse Logistics (RL) has become a field of importance for all organizations due to growing environmental concerns, legislation, corporate social responsibility and sustainable competitiveness. In Reverse logistics, the used or returned products are collected after their acquisition and inspected for sorting into the different categories. The next step is to disposition them for repair, remanufacturing, recycling, reuse or final disposal. Manufacturers may adopt reverse logistics by choice or by force, but they have to decide whether performing the activities themselves or outsourcing to a third party (Martin et al., 2010). Lourenço et al., (2003) described three main areas of improvement within the RL process. Firstly, companies can reduce the level of returns through the analysis of their causes. Secondly, they can work on the improvement of the return’s process and, thirdly, they can create value from the returns. This paper considers the multistage reverse Logistics Network Problem (mrLNP) proposed by Lee et al., (2008). With minimizing the total of costs to reverse logistics shipping cost. We will demonstrate the mrLNP model will be formulated as a three-stage logistics network model. Since such network design problems belong to the class of NP-hard problems we propose a Simulated Annealing (SA) and simulated annealing with priority (priSA) with special neighborhood search mechanisms to find the near optimal solution consisting of two stages. Computer simulations show the several numerical examples by using, SA, priSA and priGA(Genetic algorithm with priority-based encoding method) and effectiveness of the proposed method.

The Virtual Resistor based Active Damping (VR-AD) is widely employed in converters connected to the grid via LCL filters in order to mitigate the inherent resonance of the filters. Nevertheless, in digitally controlled systems, the PWM and the calculating delays modify the system characteristics in terms of frequency and phase, thus destabilizing the system and degrading the VR-AD performances, mainly in low switching frequencies. Moreover, the stability of the system is greatly affected under weak grid operation characterized by large grid impedance variation. This paper solves these problems by proposing a systematic, robust and optimized design procedure of voltage oriented PI control (VOC) with VR-AD. The considered design procedure ensures robust control (sufficient stability margins) and high quality of grid current (reduced steady-state error and minimized THD value) despite the negative impact of digital time delay, grid impedance variation and filter parameters change. Simulation and experimental results are presented to show robustness and efficiency of the suggested design procedure. With the smart grid revolution, there is a growing interest in the use of power converters associated to LCL filters to interface between the main utility grid and loads or renewable energy sources. LCL filters are commonly used mainly due to their low cost and high filtering performances. To achieve these performances, it is necessary to meticulously pick out the LCL filter parameters, taking into account grid code requirements and grid configuration and/or conditions. Several methodologies for LCL filter design have been presented and discussed in the literature. The main goal of this paper is to propose a simple, robust and systematic design methodology for LCL filter parameter tuning. The considered design methodology is aimed to overcome the shortcomings of classical design methodologies, namely, stable operation under different grid configurations and conditions. Compared to previous works, the proposed design methodology allows the achievement of robust LCL filter design with regard to large grid impedance variations without the use of any damping method. Also, it takes into account accuracy of capacitor standard values and proposes a simple design method for the converter side inductor that avoids saturation problems. An example of LCL filter design is presented and discussed. The obtained filter parameters were firstly tested using a Matlab-Simulink software tool. After that, they were tested through the development of an experimental set-up. The obtained simulation and experimental results show the reliability and efficiency of the proposed design methodology.
