We collected ectopic endometriosis and endometrial samples. For the control, the sample was taken from endometrial tissue through pipelle biopsy. RNA was extracted from all tissues using RNA mini kit, and the expression was assessed using quantitative-real time PCR. Relative mRNA and miRNA expression were presented using the formula of the Livak method. The data were statistically analyzed using GraphPad Prism 8.Results: The expression of Caspase-3, Survivin, Integrin β 1 (ITGB1), matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9), and tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP-1) (adhesion- and apoptosis-related gene) were calculated using the relative expression method. We found significant differences in Caspase-3, Survivin, ITGB1, MMP-9, and TIMP-1 expression between ectopic endometriosis tissues of women with endometriosis compared to healthy endometrium. MMP-9, Survivin, and ITGB1 was significantly increased in the endometriosis group, while Caspase-3, TIMP-1, and miR-183 were significantly reduced in the endometriosis group. No correlation was found between the expression level of miR-183 and Caspase3, Survivin, ITGB1, and Cadherin in both tissue types.Conclusion: Despite the difference in expression levels of miR-183 and associated adhesion- and apoptosis-related genes, there was no significant association between miR-183 with specific adhesion and apoptosis genes in endometriosis tissue.Keywords: endometriosis, miR-183, MMP-9, TIMP1, apoptosis, antiapoptosis

Purpose: The emergence of academic anxiety and poor learning outcomes among Indonesian first-year students at higher education institutions emphasized the need to measure the level of self-regulated learning (SRL). This study was part of a larger SRL research project in the area of learning mrecitation, where we attempted to explore further on how students applied SRL. By using a new perspective of SRL as a social process that emphasized interaction, we investigated how the situated environment influenced learning. Method: Quantitative and qualitative approaches were applied. A set of questionnaires generated from the adaptation process was successfully validated through rigorous psychometric testing. A total of 420 first-year students responded to the questionnaire. Then semi-structured observations and interviews were conducted among eight students. Finally, data obtained from observation checklists and interviews were triangulated. Findings: The SRL level for first-year students in learning Qur'an recitation was insufficient, with a score of 3.37 out of 5.00. The highest score on the Meta-Affective dimension was M = 3.64, and the lowest score on the Sociocultural-Interactive dimension was M = 2.98. These results indicated that although anxiety was not a serious problem, yet it was still an obstacle for some students with low SRL to achieve targeted learning goals. Furthermore, these students did not have the awareness to seek help for their learning difficulties. This situation was further aggravated by the lack of assistance from instructors in creating conducive learning environments for students to interact with each other. Significance: The standard deviations on all SRL dimensions identified in this study were high, showing a large gap between students who had high and low SRL. This condition requires instructors to provide significant assistance. We suggest heterogeneous grouping to enable more intensive interactions between students to increase the sociocultural-interactive dimension. We believe that seamless interaction is the most tangible support for promoting SRL.

Paving block pavement is already widely used in Indonesia. Materials made of concrete paving blocks are easy to make and easy to implement. Currently the manufacture of paving blocks SNI 03-0691-1996 refers to a method that consists of a mixture of cement, sand/gravel: water. Our research uses bamboo pieces of waste material as a substitute for gravel. Comparison of the composition of the bamboo pieces that are used to dry conditions weighing 10 kg, 20 kg and 30 kg. Based on compressive strength testing performed at the age of 7, 14 and 28 days can be known ability paving block receives compressive strength. The research using bamboo fiber material at 28 days had compressive strength 171 kg/cm2, 190 kg/cm2, and 199 kg/cm2. While using bamboo fiber material and fly ash at 28 days have compressive strength 231 kg / cm2, 176 kg/cm2, 252 kg/cm2. Test results meet the quality of type C, D and the use of bamboo waste as aggregate paving can support green infrastructure in the future.

Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) as combines a teacher's knowledge of teaching and content so that the specific content is easy for students to understand. This study aimed to investigate the teacher's PCK in teaching decimals after mentoring by the research center of the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PRP-PMRI) team. This qualitative study involved two teachers teaching fourth grade at the school partner of PRP-PMRI, Aceh Province, Indonesia. The participation was voluntary, and the teachers had attended training related to the implementation of RME. Data were collected by observing during learning, interviews, reflection, tests, and interviews. This study showed that teachers' PCK in teaching focused more on the reality principle, activity principle, interactivity principle, and guidance principle of RME. They paid less attention to the other RME principles: level principle and intertwinement principle. The teacher also lacked experience making students' conjectures and did not prepare strategies to anticipate them. The teacher also paid less attention to identifying students' ways of thinking. In addition, the teacher's knowledge about the content was also unsatisfactory. This study also revealed that teachers' content knowledge also influenced teaching strategies, leading to students' misconceptions. This research implies that mentoring to improve teachers' PCK needs to be carried out continuously.

The application of Realistic mathematics education (RME) in schools has not satisfied. The efforts of educators to help teachers implement RME are an ongoing process, including by providing examples of learning process through the video lessons. This study aims to investigate teacher understanding of the characteristics of RME through watching video lessons. Three elementary school teachers in Aceh, Indonesia, were involved in this research. Data was collected through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the teacher did not understand three of the five characteristics of RME. Teachers' understanding of real problems is only limited to the use of concrete objects. The teacher could not identify activities on the video about using models or symbols to scaffold students from concrete to more formal knowledge. The teacher also did not realize that the relationship between mathematical concepts can help students understand mathematics well. The implication of this study is that researchers need to guide the teacher design the learning trajectory before watching learning from other teachers. After watching the whole video lessons, the teacher also needs to be moved to identify important events related to the characteristics of RME in the learning in the video.

Students' poor understanding of COVID-19 can contribute to an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases.. However, there is no validated instrument for measuring undergraduate student knowledge about COVID-19. This study is at the cutting edge of validating the psychometry of students' knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) toward COVID-19. The assessment instrument consists of 18 items in the knowledge domain, 6 items in the attitude domain, and 12 items in the practice domain. This questionnaire underwent expert validation prior to being administered to 389 respondents. A RASCH model and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were applied to evaluate the psychometric characteristics of the instrument. A four-factor model was tested for measurement model validity for knowledge domain, and two-factor model for attitude and practice domains by CFA. The results showed model yielded adequate goodness-of-fit values. In addition, results of RASCH model showed that the item content validity index was high. The item reliability for all the three domains was good, with a high separation index value. Thirty-six items were fitted to the model, based on recommended mean-square fit values, standardized Z-scores, and point-measure correlation coefficients. The response set in the questionnaire fit the Andrich threshold estimates well, and functioned as an appropriate model for the response category. The questionnaire thus shows excellent psychometric characteristics. Thus, this instrument can be used to measure undergraduate student KAP and can be implemented in future studies that want to assess the effectiveness of interventions to improve students' understanding of COVID-19.

The implementation of Al-Qur'an Reading Guidance (Belajar Baca Qur'an/BBQ -- a word in the Indonesian language) program using traditional methods is considered not effective in terms of management, and lagging behind in terms of technology utilization. This has led to the development of a Learning Management System (LMS), specifically for Al-Qur'an learning, namely-BBQ. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of e-BBQ in improving the ability to read the Qur'an and the extent of e-BBQ acceptance by students and instructors in the framework of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) 3. This study used a nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest design by comparing two groups with and without e-BBQ, accompanied by interviews at the end of the study. The results showed that even though Al-Qur'an reading ability in both groups increased significantly, the increase in the e-BBQ group was higher than the group without eBBQ. Student's and instructor's perceptions of e-BBQ showed that e-BBQ was considered easy and useful. In conclusion, e-BBQ is capable of enhancing students' Al-Qur'an reading ability. The usefulness and ease of use perceived by students became the main factors in this LMS acceptance, and helped them to improve their Al-Qur'an reading ability.

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of students' mathematical communication and disposition abilities taught with discovery learning models. This study us quantitative approach with the type of experimental research and the research design us pretest and posttest design type experiments. The sample was chosen randomly from two classes of 7th grade in one of public junior high school in Sigli, Aceh. The research instrument used was mathematical communication ability test and mathematical disposition questionnaire. The data analysis of students' communication and disposition ability was done by two-way ANAVA test at a significant level of 0.05. The results showed that the improvement of students' mathematical communication and disposition skills taught with discovery learning models was better than those taught with conventional approaches. Furthermore, there was no interaction between discovery learning model and the level of students towards improving communication skills and mathematical dispositions. Therefore, the mathematics teachers can implement discovery learning models in learning to build the next polyhedron. Future researchers should conduct research at other schools in order to improve students' mathematical communication skills in mathematics learning.

A student's perception of teacher effective communication influences the learning atmosphere. The measurement of perception indicates how students view the quality of learning. As few studies have explored the development of an appropriate measurement tool of students' perception of learning to read the Qur'an, this study aims to develop such a tool. Conceptual analysis and a survey using open-ended questions resulted in dimensions and items. Six experts and three instructors evaluated the content validity. The questionnaire was then administered to 421 participants -- 201 for Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and 220 for Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The results successfully identified four dimensions that explained 64.6% of the variation. The instrument consisted of 13 items with satisfactory reliability and validity. The dimension with the highest coefficient path was 'understanding and friendliness' (UF), while the dimension of 'learning media' (LM) was the lowest. There was a significant influence of gender on the dimension of UF, as well as verbal (V) and non-verbal (NV) communication, while there were no differences in the dimension of LM. The questionnaire can be effectively used as a measurement device of dimensions related to students' perception of teacher effective communication in Qur'an learning.

The study aims to describe the strengthening of MSMEs carried out by the Bekasi City government in terms of capital, products, and marketing in response to policies on using domestic products within the Bekasi City government. The research used a qualitative approach. Primary data were collected using in-depth interviews with selected informants from local governments, SMEs, and academia. These are the people related to the management of MSMEs so that they understand about the various problems of MSMEs. Secondary data came from electronic media and relevant regional organizations. The data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. This research found that the Bekasi City government has made various efforts to strengthen MSMEs in Bekasi through the DKUKM. On the product side, socialization and training on home industry food (P-IRT) and P-IRT certification are given to the MSMEs, training is also carried out to improve packaging management capabilities and socialize halal certificates. On the capital side, the Bekasi City government prepares funds for capital through Bank Syariah Patriot, as well as training in preparing financial reports for lending funds to banks. Meanwhile, on the marketing side, the DKUKM Bekasi City held various promotions such as exhibitions, Ramadhan bazaars, bazaars in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of Bekasi City, training on making business identification numbers (NIB), digital marketing training, entrepreneurship training or workshops, socialization and training of home industry food certification (PIRT), training on using Shopee for MSMEs, and curation of the MSME products. Using a qualitative approach, this research can explore more stakeholder views related to the strengthening of MSMEs in response to policies on the use of domestic products, so that it gives different contributions to the theories and practices of the MSMEs development in Indonesia. Indonesia consists of various ethnic groups. However, well-established research on the genetic variation of each ethnic group in Indonesia has not yet been present. Madurese is one of the Indonesian ethnic groups inhabiting Madura island and living in remote areas throughout Indonesia. Surabaya-Madura's mobilization is tremendous as the closest city to Madura Island, connected by a bridge. The Madurese has a culture of didi and same-ethnic marriage patterns. Therefore, research was conducted on 21 STR panel loci to analyze Madurese living in Surabaya to increase genetic data libraries and genetic variation of Indonesian populations based on siblings. PrepFiler kit to extract DNA from blood and GlobalFiler kit to amplify 21 loci were used. An ABI PRISM 3500 genetic analyzer was used to detect PCR products. Data were processed and analyzed with EasyDNA software and FORSTAT. Allele frequency data for 21 autosomal loci in Madurese were obtained. The expected Heterozygosity (He) was found with the highest obtained at locus D19S433 (0.911), while the lowest was at locus D22S1045 (0.607). Power of Discrimination (PD) values ranged from the highest at 2 loci, namely D5S818, and D13S317 (0.968), while the lowest at locus D2S1338 (0.857). Polymorphism Information Content (PIC) value is highest at locus D22S1045 (0.765); all loci have PIC values > 0.5. The Sibship Index (SI) value of the Madurese in Surabaya is 0.88 - 1.20. The 21 STR loci can be employed for population genetic variation studies and sibling forensic identification. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
