Abstract

There are many benefits and special insights to be found in the chilly ocean and marine locations of our planet. The inquiry can't be conducted without the help of professional techniques. The most important components of the collaborative network and communication frameworks are the underwater unmanned vehicles and sensor systems. Oceans and seas that are cold due to water temperature or ice cover are discussed here in terms of the acoustic correlation and journey below the surface. We summarize, evaluate, and contrast the benefits and drawbacks of several methods, including Frequency-shift keying, Phase-shift keying, Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing, and Code-division multiple access, for use in underwater acoustic communication. Abstract

The main problem that farmers face now is the conversion of land function from agricultural to non-agricultural ones because of conflicts of interests. Behind this problem, there is an increase in demand for lands as a result of economic and population growths, leading to food security and import dependence threats. Therefore, protecting agricultural lands becomes more and more urgent to ensure the national food security. This research aims to identify the arising problems regarding the conversion of agricultural land function and the need to anticipate its control upon the enactment of Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation. This research applied a normative research method using statute approach. The data it used consisted of primary legal materials such as Law Number 11 of 2020 on Job Creation, and its derivative regulations such as Government Regulations (GR) and one Ministerial Regulation as technical operating references. The data were collected by reviewing the literature and studies, using qualitative analysis, including content analysis to evaluate information objectively. The conclusion was drawn deductively, from general ideas to specific findings. An in-depth investigation was carried out into the relevant legal facts using frame analysis, which limited the scope of studies and attempted to find solutions to the arising issues. The research found that upon the enactment of Job Creation Law, a significant change occurred in the regulations on agricultural land conversion in Indonesia. This led to new challenges in managing the land conversion and required anticipatory measures. Tight monitoring on the agricultural land usage and establishment of a specific institution to manage the state’s agricultural lands are needed. Through farmers’ and community’s active participation, it is expected that the government’s programs can be more responsive to local needs and maximize the use of limited resources. Abstract

In the National Agri-Food Policy for 2011–2020, genetic modification (GM) technology is considered as one of the possible ways to ensure food security in a sustainable industry. Soon, the Malaysian government will launch a National AgrofoodPolicy 2021-2030 (DAN 2.0) to transform the agro-food sector into a sustainable, competitive and high-technology industry and to boost economic growth through modern biotechnologies to improve the wellbeing of the people (Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industries,2021). Nevertheless, the current legal frameworks cover the procedural process of GM technology; the common denominator of these regulations is the focus on balancing the development of biotechnology industries and the protection of people and environment, while applying the key principles of risk assessment and risk management. Hence, to ensure the use of GM technology is consistent with fundamental human rights, it is crucial to assess its ethical aspects and must be carefully examined. This research aims to present a legal framework, policy, and good practice to guide policymakers in assessing the bioethical issues in GM technology and identify possible ways to integrate the bioethical issues in the decision-making process of GM technology for the protection of farmers' rights. Having said that, further research is needed to refine and expand this framework and ensure sustainable modern biotechnology and the protection of the farmers. This study will provide an overview of regulatory frameworks for biosafety and biosecurity regarding bioethical issues pertaining to GM crops and points out overlap with other regulatory frameworks, such as the liability and redress, trust sales of goods, evidence and corporate law. The study is conducted in four phases: 1) systematic literature review; (2) data collection; (3) data analysis; (4) report writing and legal framework recommendation. The output from this study will be a legal framework to assess the ethicalissues of GM crops in protecting farmers' rights in which the regulators and other relevant stakeholders can use the recommendations. Global challenges raised by biomedical advances require global responses. Some international organizations have made significant efforts over the last few years to establish common standards that can be regarded as the beginning of an international biomedical law. One of the main features of this new legal discipline is the integration of its principles into a human rights framework. This strategy seems the most appropriate, given the role of "universal ethics" that human rights play in our world of philosophical pluralism. Abstract

Food insecurity among children poses a significant threat to the healthy development of children around the world such as stunted growth, poor cognitive development, stress, illnesses, and many other negative repercussions which further leads to socio-emotional and behavioral consequences. A new study released by UNICEF reveals higher levels of poverty and malnutrition among children living in low-cost housing in Kuala Lumpur, compared to the national average, as well as in some cities in Indonesia. If children from the urban poor suffer from food insecurity, what more the children living in the rural areas who may suffer the same. Which is why Sen's Entitlement theory attributes food insecurity to poverty which prevents affordability and accessibility to food. Political and other tangible interventions should be undertaken to address food insecurity not only to promote healthy development of children in Indonesia and Malaysia but also to assure sustainability of food security as a precautionary approach. Abstract

Eco-anxiety' as a concept is relatively new and has received media attention recently, even though the feeling has probably existed for some time. People who are depressed and lose control when thinking about the impact of human activity on the planet, such as climate change. Climate change is an actual dimension into their mental-health problems, which is not medically recognised or defined. This is normative legal research. The data were consolidated and examined using the legal norm method, which uses qualitative legal analysis, logic, and argumentation. This paper reviewed the literature on eco-anxiety and its legal implications. Environmental and health law continues to be separate bodies of international law, even though the right to health is intertwined with the right to a healthy environment. A right to a clean and healthy environment should explicitly include the right to health-physically and mentally. Priority should be given to greening public health infrastructure, such as mental health facilities, as part of eco-anxiety recovery plans to support the emergence of the environmental impact on mental health and the country's mental health promotion and prevention efforts to serve their needs better.
