Abstract

X-ray absorption spectroscopy measurements were performed for the C K-edge of Pt nanoparticles on Ar+-irradiated carbon supports in order to elucidate the origin of improved catalyst performance after the introduction of vacancies into the carbon support. We observed a change in the electronic structure at the interface between the Pt nanoparticles and the carbon support after vacancy introduction, which is in good agreement with theoretical results. The results indicated that vacancy introduction resulted in a drastic change in the Pt–C interactions, which likely affected the d-band center of the Pt nanoparticles and led to the enhancement of the oxygen reduction reaction in catalysts. 12. Highly Efficient Solid-State Intra-Track Polymerization of Ethynyl-Substituted Spirobifluorenes Triggered by Swift Heavy Ion Irradiations

Abstract

Acetylenes are the first monomer to polymerize by the energy deposited by ionizing radiations. Herein we report an extremely efficient solid state polymerization of ethynyl-substituted 9,9'-spirobi[9H-fluorene]s (SBFs) via a unique nano-fabrication technique referred to as Single Particle Trigged Linear Polymerization (STLiP) initiated by high energy charged particles. The resulted nanowires of polymerized/crosslinked SBFs show a gradual transformation from flexible to rigid rod-like with an increase in the reaction efficiency mediated by the ethynyl substitution. The overall efficiency of initiation/propagation/crosslinking reactions is remarkably high even in comparison with the primary yield of ionization events in the radiation chemical processes, marking up to G > 80 (100 eV)^-1, which is suggestive of efficient chain reactions in the propagation steps. The present results demonstrate efficient solid-state polymerization reactions, which are neither topochemical polymerization reactions nor acid/base catalyzed reactions, expand the versatility of STLiP technique to fabricate 1D nanomaterials based on a variety of organic compounds.

19. The change of electronic structure at the interface between Pt nanoparticles and the carbon support by the ion irradiation

Abstract

燃料電池自動車などに用いられている固体高分子形燃料電池では、炭素担体上の白金（Pt）ナノ粒子が電極触媒として用いられている。しかし、Ptの使用量が高コスト化の原因であるため、触媒性能を向上させて使用量を低減させることが喫緊の課題である。我々のグループでは、Ptナノ粒子触媒の触媒性能が、イオン照射による炭素担体への欠陥導入によって大きく向上することを報告してきた。触媒性能向上のメカニズムを解明するために、Ptナノ粒子と炭素担体界面のXAFS測定を行った。炭素吸収端スペクトルから炭素担体への欠陥導入によって炭素とPtナノ粒子の界面電子状態が大きく変化していることを見出し、欠陥導入によるPtナノ粒子と担体との相互作用の変化が触媒の高性能化の起源であることを報告する予定である。, Materials Research Meeting 2019

固体高分子形燃料電池では、炭素担体上のPtナノ粒子が電極触媒として用いられている。特に自動車用の燃料電池では、動作温度を現状の80℃から120℃に高めて使用することが計画されている。しかし、さらなる高温発電することで炭素担体の腐食が進み、耐久性能が著しく低下することが予想される。我々のグループでは、これまでにイオン照射により欠陥導入した炭素担体上のPtナノ粒子触媒の耐久性能が、未照射の場合と比較して大きく向上することを報告した。本研究では、照射した炭素材料自体の耐久性能について調べた。 耐久試験前後の電気化学測定の結果、イオン照射したグラシーカーボン（GC）基板では酸化による腐食が大きく抑制されていることを観測した。また、XPS測定も耐久試験前後の照射・未照射GC基板に対して実施し、照射試料では、酸化物相が表面に蓄積している傾向を見出した。酸化物相は、酸化による腐食を促進するため、炭素材料自体が腐食に対して強くなっている可能性を報告する。, 高崎サイエンスフェスタ2019

Abstract

我々は、白金代替触媒として期待されている窒素含有カーボン材料の新奇な合成方法として、カーボン前駆体高分子への窒素イオン注入を利用した合成プロセスの開発に取り組んでいる。本研究では、カーボン前駆体高分子であるフェノール樹脂に50 keVの窒素イオンを注入すると、C-N結合の生成による窒素導入が可能であること、800℃での炭素化処理後、非注入試料の場合よりもグラファイト相の形成が促進されること、および、導入された窒素とグラファイト相に起因して酸素還元活性を示すこと、を明らかにした。

23. Influence of gamma ray irradiation on thermal conductivity of bismaleimide-triazine-based insulation tape at cryogenic temperature

Abstract

近年、大強度加速器を利用した素粒子物理の研究実施を実現するため、MGy級の高放射線環境下で使用可能な超伝導磁石システムが要求されている。この要求に対し、我々は、機械的特性の面において100MGyの耐放射線性を有するエポキシ樹脂とビスマレイミドートリアジン(BT)樹脂を基材としたガラス繊維強化絶縁テープを開発している。一方、絶縁テープ材の熱伝導率は、磁石システム動作中の超伝導コイル温度に影響を及ぼす重要なパラメータの一つである。そこで本報では、熱伝導率測定装置を開発するとともに、ガンマ線照射後の絶縁テープの熱伝導率変化を調べた。その結果、5MGyまでの照射において顕著な熱伝導率の変化は見られず、BT樹脂を用いた絶縁テープが超伝導磁石システムに適用可能であると結論を得た。

33. Microfabrication of biocompatible hydrogel by proton beam writing

Abstract

再生医療では、細胞が増殖し、臓器形状を保持する足場材料として、ハイドロゲルの利用が注目されている。細胞培養に影響を与えるゲル表面の微細な形状や化学的な特性を調べるために、生分解性で人体に無害である多糖類誘導体を原料として、プロトンビームによる分解・架橋反応を利用したゲル微細加工技術の開発を行った。ヒドロキシプロピルセルロース(HPC) 、カルボキシメチルセルロース（CMC)の濃厚水溶液(30wt%) を調製し、TIARA のシングルエンド加速器からの3MeVのプロトンビームを照射した。含水試験やゲル分率測定などから、ゲル構造体が形成していることを確認した。プロトンビームのスキャン形状を制御することにより、ラインアンドスペース等のゲル構造体を作製できる見通しを得た。 さらに、作製したCMCゲル構造体にはHela細胞が接着し、HPCゲル構造体には接着しないことが分かった。, IBMM2016 (20th International Conference on Ion Beam Modification of Materials)
