The advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) of the smart grid plays a critical role in energy management and billing by enabling the periodic transmission of consumers' power consumption readings. To optimize data collection efficiency, AMI employs a "change and transmit" (CAT) approach. This approach ensures that readings are only transmitted when there is enough change in consumption, thereby reducing data traffic. Despite the benefits of this approach, it faces security challenges where malicious consumers can manipulate their readings to launch cyberattacks for electricity theft, allowing them to illegally reduce their bills. While this challenge has been addressed for supervised learning CAT settings, it remains insufficiently addressed in unsupervised learning settings. Moreover, due to the distortion introduced in the power consumption readings due to using the CAT approach, the accurate prediction of future consumption for energy management is a challenge. In this paper, we propose a two-stage approach to predict future readings and detect electricity theft in the smart grid while optimizing data collection using the CAT approach. For the first stage, we developed a predictor that is trained exclusively on benign CAT power consumption readings, and the output of the predictor is the actual readings. To enhance the prediction accuracy, we propose a cluster-based predictor that groups consumers into clusters with similar consumption patterns, and a dedicated predictor is trained for each cluster. For the second stage, we trained an autoencoder and a one-class support vector machine (SVM) on the benign reconstruction errors of the predictor to classify instances of electricity theft. We conducted comprehensive experiments to assess the effectiveness of our proposed approach. This paper presents a novel framework for 3D face reconstruction from single 2D images and addresses critical limitations in existing methods. Our approach integrates modified adversarial neural networks with graph neural networks to achieve state-of-the-art performance. Key innovations include (1) a generator architecture based on Graph Convolutional Networks (GCNs) with a novel loss function and identity blocks, mitigating mode collapse and instability; (2) the integration of facial landmarks and a non-parametric efficient-net decoder for enhanced feature capture; and (3) a lightweight GCN-based discriminator for improved accuracy and stability. Evaluated on the 300W-LP and AFLW2000-3D datasets, our method outperforms existing approaches, reducing Chamfer Distance by 62.7% and Earth Mover's Distance by 57.1% on 300W-LP. Moreover, our framework demonstrates superior robustness to variations in head positioning, occlusion, noise, and lighting conditions while achieving significantly faster processing times. This paper describes a revolutionary design paradigm for monitoring aquatic life. This unique methodology addresses issues such as limited memory, insufficient bandwidth, and excessive noise levels by combining two approaches to create a comprehensive predictive filtration system, as well as multiple-transfer route analysis. This work focuses on proposing a novel filtration learning approach for underwater sensor nodes. This model was created by merging two adaptive filters, the finite impulse response (FIR) and the adaptive line enhancer (ALE). The FIR integrated filter eliminates unwanted noise from the signal by obtaining a linear response phase and passes the signal without distortion. The goal of the ALE filter is to properly separate the noise signal from the measured signal, resulting in the signal of interest. The cluster head level filters are the adaptive cuckoo filter (ACF) and the Kalman filter. The ACF assesses whether an emitter node is part of a set or not. The Kalman filter improves the estimation of state values for a dynamic underwater sensor networking system. It uses distributed learning long short-term memory (LSTM-CNN) technology to ensure that the anticipated value of the square of the gap between the prediction and the correct state is the smallest possible. Compared to prior methods, our suggested deep filtering–learning model achieved 98.5% of the sensory filtration method in the majority of the obtained data and close to 99.1% of an adaptive prediction method, while also consuming little energy during lengthy monitoring. The explosive growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) has highlighted the urgent need for strong network security measures. The distinctive difficulties presented by Internet of Things (IoT) environments, such as the wide variety of devices, the intricacy of network traffic, and the requirement for real-time detection capabilities, are difficult for conventional intrusion detection systems (IDS) to adjust to. To address these issues, we propose DCGR_IoT, an innovative intrusion detection system (IDS) based on deep neural learning that is intended to protect bidirectional communication networks in the IoT environment. DCGR_IoT employs advanced techniques to enhance anomaly detection capabilities. Convolutional neural networks (CNN) are used for spatial feature extraction and superfluous data are filtered to improve computing efficiency. Furthermore, complex gated recurrent networks (CGRNs) are used for the temporal feature extraction module, which is utilized by DCGR_IoT. Furthermore, DCGR_IoT harnesses complex gated recurrent networks (CGRNs) to construct multidimensional feature subsets, enabling a more detailed spatial representation of network traffic and facilitating the extraction of critical features that are essential for intrusion detection. The effectiveness of the DCGR_IoT was proven through extensive evaluations of the UNSW-NB15, KDDCup99, and IoT-23 datasets, which resulted in a high detection accuracy of 99.2%. The integration of renewable energy sources, such as rooftop solar panels, into smart grids poses significant challenges for managing customer-side battery storage. In response, this paper introduces a novel reinforcement learning (RL) approach aimed at optimizing the coordination of these batteries. Our approach utilizes a single-agent, multi-environment RL system designed to balance power saving, customer satisfaction, and fairness in power distribution. The RL agent dynamically allocates charging power while accounting for individual battery levels and grid constraints, employing an actor–critic algorithm. The actor determines the optimal charging power based on real-time conditions, while the critic iteratively refines the policy to enhance overall performance. The key advantages of our approach include: (1) Adaptive Power Allocation: The RL agent effectively reduces overall power consumption by optimizing grid power allocation, leading to more efficient energy use. (2) Enhanced Customer Satisfaction: By increasing the total available power from the grid, our approach significantly reduces instances of battery levels falling below the critical state of charge (SoC), thereby improving customer satisfaction. (3) Fair Power Distribution: Fairness improvements are notable, with the highest fair reward rising by 173.7% across different scenarios, demonstrating the effectiveness of our method in minimizing discrepancies in power distribution. (4) Improved Total Reward: The total reward also shows a significant increase, up by 94.1%, highlighting the efficiency of our RL-based approach. Experimental results using a real-world dataset confirm that our RL approach markedly improves fairness, power efficiency, and customer satisfaction, underscoring its potential for optimizing smart grid operations and energy management systems.
