Appeared as a 'low-tech' yet significant teaching aid in the modern classroom, the blackboard has greatly shaped the medium, space and pedagogy of school education. Over the past two centuries, 'blackboard' itself has also been constantly remoulded in terms of its colour, material and function, from the traditional black wooden surface to the interactive digital screen, which requires comprehensive investigations from historical, technological and educational perspectives. This essay synthesizes approaches applied in three dimensions. First is the material and technological aspect, tracing the transformation of such 'boards' from stone/wood to plastic/steel to digital/online forms and their functions extended; then it focuses on the etymological and lexicographical dimension, comparatively analysing the definitions of blackboard, chalkboard and whiteboard in the representative dictionaries; moreover, an educational perspective is employed throughout the whole investigation, especially on how the invention and involution of 'blackboard' shaped the class space, teacher-student relationship and subject pedagogy. Beyond the concern of technology, this essay reserves due attention to the epistemological issue in dealing with the presentation, transmission and acquisition of knowledge under different cognitive contexts. We examine radar-based gesture input for interactive computer systems, a technology that has recently grown in terms of commercial availability, affordability, and popularity among researchers and practitioners, where radar sensors are leveraged to detect user input performed in mid-air, on the body, and around physical objects and digital devices. We analyze forty-five academic papers published on this topic between 2010 and 2021, and report results regarding gesture recognition techniques, application types, and evaluation approaches for radar-based gesture input. Our findings reveal that (1) deep learning techniques, such as Convolutional Neural Networks, have been the most popular approach for radar-based gesture recognition, (2) application opportunities for implementing radar gestures have been diverse, but without any clear contender for a game changer in this area, and (3) the gesture sets employed in prior work have been small with a median of just six gesture types. Physics course is seen by both teachers and students as difficult when it comes to teaching and learning. Thus, there is a need to think of and integrate new and innovative ways of teaching which guarantee students an improved physics conceptual understanding. This study investigated the effect of interactive computer simulations on the academic performance and learning motivation of students. It used a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach. The participants were 163 senior five Rwandan students (80 students in a control group and 83 students in an experimental group). The investigation was done on students' learning in atomic physics using physics education technology (PhET) simulations for the experimental group and conventional teaching methods for the control group. An atomic physics achievement test as a pre/post-test and a questionnaire related to motivation were designed and examined for reliability and validity. Data were analyzed by means of descriptive and inferential statistics. On both test scores and learning motivation, the results show that the experimental group performed better than the control group with noticeable statistically significant differences. This research recommended that the integration of interactive computer simulations can be helpful in teaching and learning physics in Rwanda and future research may focus on the effectiveness of these simulations in the teaching and learning of other science disciplines like Chemistry and Biology. This article investigates music performances with audiovisual components in extended reality setups that are not score based, but composed, emerging from a discursive process of interrelating human performers and computational counterparts such as virtual performance partners, virtual instruments, and potentials related to particular spaces. Rooted in notions of earlier avant-garde music and digital games, the performances are understood to emerge from a bottom-up process of relating human-technological agencies. A dichotomy of preexistent physical and virtual realities that would be extended or mixed is consequently replaced by a notion of entangled realities, as the artistic reality of the artwork emerges with the performance. Background: Physical activity (PA) can increase mental and physical health in adults aged 50 years and older. However, it has been shown that PA guidelines are often not met within this population. Therefore, our research group developed 2 computer-tailored intervention programs in the last decade to stimulate PA: Active Plus and I Move. Although these programs were proven effective, positive effects diminished over time and attrition rates were relatively high. To respond to this, we will integrate 3 interactive mobile elements into the existing programs: activity tracker, ecological momentary intervention program, and virtual coach app. Objective: The goal of the research is to define systematic and evidence-based steps for extending our online computer-based PA intervention programs with 3 interactive mobile elements. Methods: Components often included in other (eHealth) design models were identified as key components and served as a base for the definition of systematic steps: exploration of context, involvement of the target population, prototype and intervention testing, and implementation. Based on these key components, 10 systematic steps were defined. The initial step is a literature search, with the results serving as a base for development of the low-fidelity prototypes in step 2. The pilot phase comprises the 3rd to 6th steps and includes semistructured interviews, pilot tests, and adaptations of the prototypes with intensive involvement of the target population of adults aged 50 years and older, where particular attention will be paid to lower educated persons. The 7th step is an effect evaluation in the form of a randomized controlled trial. During the 8th step, the most effective intervention programs will be selected and reinforced. These reinforced intervention programs will be used during the design of an implementation plan in the 9th step and the subsequent field study in the 10th step. Results: The project will be executed from December 2019 to December 2023. During this period, the systematic approach presented will be practically executed according to the methodological procedures described. Conclusions: Based on the 4 identified key components, we were able to design an evidence-based systematic design approach for separately adding 3 mobile elements to our existing online PA intervention programs. In this paper, we will briefly explain the basic principles and practical applications of wireless wearable sensing devices, sort out the development of interactive platforms and sensors, and study the application value of wireless wearable sensing devices in interactive electronic music works. Near-field communication (NFC), as a short-range radio technology, can realize wireless energy and data transmission simultaneously. By integrating NFC modules, electrochemical sensing circuits, and flexible electrodes, it is possible to ensure complete electrochemical sensing functions while maximizing the miniaturization, flexibility, and integration of the system. Therefore, this paper constructs a series of wireless passive flexible electrochemical sensing systems based on NFC technology, electrochemical sensing technology, and flexible electronics, and uses these systems to realize a series of innovative applications, aiming to guide the creation of higher quality interactive music artworks as well as explore the artistic and esthetic experience brought by interactive music functions, and provide theoretical references for virtual art interactive music creation and practice. Thus, in the context of information technology, university art education is facing the impact of foreign cultures, while the issue of national and global differences in university art education is becoming increasingly evident due to the influence of cultural pluralism. University art education has to realize the combination of nationalisation and modernisation in the informationised environment and build university art teaching content with humanistic and diverse content under the basic requirements of realism and practicality in art education. University art should innovate the education system, change the teaching methods, and improve the quality of teaching. In teaching, students are combined with the actual situation of students to cultivate their creative consciousness, innovative thinking, and innovative ability. On this basis, this article mainly studies and analyses the teaching methods and strategies of university art design under the wireless network teaching mode and focuses on the application methods and application effects of interactive teaching in art teaching. The comparative analysis shows that the introduction of WBRCCS-based formative assessment into inquiry-based teaching is significantly better than traditional inquiry-based teaching and that the WBRCCS-based formative assessment system can improve the effectiveness of inquiry-based teaching and enhances students' motivation to learn. This article introduces a unified and flexible experimental framework for massive online experimentation of control education. The new architecture adopts a front-end and back-end separation scheme based on React at frontend and Nginx at backend, and a single page application has been achieved to improve user experience. Multiple features and supporting technologies which provide a flexible, interactive, and real-time platform with enhanced sense of presence and user experience are discussed. The design and implementation of the proposed system are depicted in detail. With the implementation of online algorithm design, the unified framework enables all the functionalities such as web-based algorithm design, parameter tuning, visual configuration of customized user interface, and real-time control with remote and virtual laboratories, which cover the entire process in control education experimentation. This article analyzes how the anti-discrimination language of Fair Housing Act section 3604 is currently out of reach for people being discriminated against online through the exclusionary language of Communications Decency Act section 230(c). With the gradual increase in the informatization, there is much software in various industries, such as data management, business execution, public orientation, and company OA, which greatly facilitates the development of various tasks, but it also brings many hidden dangers. There exist certain vulnerabilities in some software, which have become backdoors to be attacked. In view of these needs and potential hazards, the ultrasonic data acquisition and signal processing algorithms are introduced in this paper, analyzing and grasping the possibility of potentially dangerous paths by combining the instruction addresses and locations of software vulnerabilities, and avoid the existence of these software vulnerabilities through corresponding constraint instructions. The simulation experiment results prove that the ultrasonic data acquisition and signal processing algorithms are effective and can support the detection and analysis of man-machine interactive software vulnerabilities. Based on the hierarchy of influences model, we explored journalists' understanding and perceptions about media convergence in Pakistan's media industry and its influence on journalistic practices and routines. In-depth interviews with Pakistani news practitioners revealed several challenges hindering the successful implementation of media convergence in Pakistan. These challenges included the lack of resources for incorporating digital technologies, the lack of financial incentives, and stringent journalistic work routines, we found that technology-induced routines have severely affected both the personal and the professional lives of media practitioners. The adoption of convergence in Pakistan has been largely based on economic and commercial concerns rather than attempts to improve the quality of media content. Query weight optimization, which aims to find an optimal combination of the weights of query terms for sorting relevant documents, is an important topic in the information retrieval system. Due to the huge search space, the query optimization problem is intractable, and evolutionary algorithms have become one popular approach. But as the size of the database grows, traditional retrieval approaches may return a lot of results, which leads to low efficiency and poor practicality. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a two-stage information retrieval system based on an interactive multimodal genetic algorithm (IMGA) for a query weight optimization system. The proposed IMGA has two stages: quantity control and quality optimization. In the quantity control stage, a multimodal genetic algorithm with the aid of the niching method selects multiple promising combinations of query terms simultaneously by which the numbers of retrieved documents are controlled in an appropriate range. In the quality optimization stage, an interactive genetic algorithm is designed to find the optimal query weights so that the most user-friendly document retrieval sequence can be yielded. Users' feedback information will accelerate the optimization process, and a genetic algorithm (GA) performs interactively with the action of relevance feedback mechanism. Replacing user evaluation, a mathematical model is built to evaluate the fitness values of individuals. In the proposed two-stage method, not only the number of returned results can be controlled, but also the quality and accuracy of retrieval can be improved. The proposed method is run on the database which with more than 2000 documents. The experimental results show that our proposed method outperforms several state-of-the-art query weight optimization approaches in terms of the precision rate and the recall rate. Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (CDA) immunizes "interactive computer services" from most claims arising out of thirdparty content posted on the service. Passed in 1996, section 230 is a vital law for allowing free expression online, but it is ill-suited for addressing some of the harms that arise in the modern platformbased economy. This Article proposes to redefine section 230 immunity for sharing economy platforms and online marketplaces by tying internet platform immunity to the economic relationship between the platform and the third party. It primarily focuses on one key flaw of section 230: its binary classification of online actors as either "interactive computer services" (who are immune under the statute) or "information content providers" (who are not immune). This binary classification, while perhaps adequate for the internet that existed in 1996, fails to account for the full range of economic activities in which modern platforms now engage. This Article argues that courts applying section 230 should incorporate joint enterprise liability theory to better define the contours of platform immunity. A platform should lose immunity when there exists a common business purpose, specific pecuniary interest, and shared right of control in the underlying transaction giving rise to liability. Sharing economy platforms, such as Airbnb and Uber, and online marketplaces, such as Amazon, are primary examples of platforms that may function as joint enterprises. By using joint enterprise theory to redefine platform immunity, this Article seeks to promote greater fairness to tort victims while otherwise retaining section 230's core free expression purpose.
