This research aimed to present a model for the competitiveness of selected Iranian knowledge-based companies in the fourth industrial revolution. Therefore, in terms of the goal, it is applied research because, in addition to the awareness and scientific aspect, it will also have a practical element for the relevant organizations. According to the purpose and nature of this research, in terms of method, it was qualitative research conducted by interviewing research experts. The statistical population of the study included Iran’s knowledge-based companies, which, according to the classification of the working group for evaluating and recognizing the competence of knowledge-based companies and institutions, the field of electricity and electronics, laser and photonics, were chosen due to their greater dependence on the components of the fourth industrial revolution. The approach of the qualitative part has been grounded in theory. The results showed that the competitiveness model of selected Iranian knowledge-based companies in the fourth industrial revolution includes internal organizational factors, Extra-organizational factors, agility, capable intellectual resources, value chain, innovative services and products, environmental factors, organizational factors, international drivers of the fourth industrial revolution, data challenges in the implementation of technology 04, governance factors in the fourth industrial revolution, industry’s relationship with University, increasing information literacy, continuous research and development, identification of technological advantage, capability building, laws appropriate to the characteristics of the fourth industrial revolution, attention to the environment, attention to the market and the needs created by the fourth industrial revolution, determining strategy, investment in technology, survival, and value creation. INTRODUCTION The search for sustainable solutions is inevitable for declining land productivity arising from increasing population pressure on scarce arable land in developing countries. In Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), 80 percent [...], Declining land productivity and increasing land and food scarcity, amidst high population growth have precipitated the need for intensification of crop production. Sustainable land management technologies (SLMTs) have been suggested as a way to support the intensification process. In Uganda, agricultural advisory services (AAS) geared towards improved adoption of the SLMTs are provided, and farmers can access AAS from diverse sources, with the possibility of accessing from single or multiple sources. This study attempts to identify and prioritize the drivers of farmers' access to (single/multiple) sources of AAS and determine the impact of access to these sources of AAS on the adoption of SLMT, and crop productivity. The study uses cross-sectional data collected from 435 households in the southwestern highlands of Uganda, in Kisoro and Kabale districts. The multinomial endogenous switching regression model combined with an endogenous switching regression model was used to analyse the data. Results indicate that both single and multiple sources of AAS have a positive effect on adoption of SLMTs and crop productivity, with the latter having a positive effect on the adoption of more SLMTs, while it seems to reduce the adoption of some other SLMTs. Similarly, accessing AAS from multiple sources has a higher positive impact on crop productivity, when compared to no access, but a lower impact when compared to access to a single source of AAS. These results suggest that access to multiple sources of AAS has positive impacts, but there are possible inherent challenges in the way it is implemented; lack of synchronisation of the messages given to the farmers, and the top-down approaches used to disseminate knowledge on SLMTs by some of the AAS providers may confound the possibly higher benefits of access to multiple sources of AAS. This study points out the need for policy to consider the advantages of having a streamlined agricultural extension system, with coordinated efforts from all agricultural advisory service providers and stakeholders. * Context.--Social media (SM) use in pathology and medicine today is widespread, receives active advocacy, and is said to bring a host of benefits. In latter days, the harmful effects of SM have received attention, but they have yet been followed by greater encouragement of professionalized SM usage. SM use in medicine has seen adoption in parallel to its general ascendancy, even though the platforms are products with purposes misaligned with the practice of medicine. Objective.--To (1) characterize premises and forces that propel professional SM platform adoption and use, and (2) examine wide-ranging literature, both medical and nonmedical, that substantiates the premises and to find counteracting perspectives and evidence. Data Sources.--Review of the literature using relevant keyword searches in PubMed, Google Scholar, Dimensions, and Web of Science for articles that study/ describe professional SM use in pathology and medicine. Additionally, we examined business, technology, and social sciences literature and high-quality gray literature (newspapers, books, blogs) that addressed questions in relation to the topic of professional SM adoption. Conclusions.--We identified 6 major premises as motivators of professional SM use and highlight significant counteracting factors. We examined the relationship between transformational leadership and financial employees' unethical pro-organisational behaviour, accounting for organisational identity and future focus in the context of the Chinese organisational culture. Participants were 94 business leaders and 176 financial employees mainly from the manufacturing, wholesale and retail, and software and information technology services industries. Based on the survey data, moderation-mediation model analysis results indicated that transformational leadership was associated with higher employees' unethical pro-organisational behaviour. Employees' organisational identity mediated the relationship between transformational leadership and employees' unethical pro-organisational behaviour to be stronger. Furthermore, future focus moderated the indirect relationship between transformational leadership and employees' unethical pro-organisational behaviour, enhancing the positive correlation between transformational leadership and employees' organisational identity. The findings imply that transformational leadership contributes to employee unethical pro-organisational behaviour as well as employee organisational identity. Today, in developed countries, the research and development department of knowledge-based companies has played a very important role in the production of new and advanced technologies and ultimately the growth of the knowledgebased economy. One of the important reasons for the success of these companies some of which have become the world’s technology giants), conducting research and development activities based on global standards and having a high level of technological complexity. The current research, which is applied research, was conducted with the aim of identifying and classifying the effective factors in determining the level of technological complexity of research and development activities in knowledge-based companies. This research is a type of qualitative research that was conducted using the data-based method. The statistical population of the research was 20 research and development experts and specialists of Iranian knowledge-based companies. Data collection was done through a literature review and semi-structured interviews until theoretical saturation was achieved. By analyzing the data, the first 149 variables were extracted and during the three stages of open, central and selective coding, 98 influential factors were identified in determining the level of technological complexity of research and development activities, then, while identifying the central category, Identified factors were included in the main categories (including: causal, contextual, intervening conditions, strategies and consequences) and the research paradigm model was extracted. In the current research, during the coding process, the identified factors were classified into 6 categories. Achieving advanced technology was considered as a central category, which includes the variables of the novelty of activity, the creativity of activity, uncertainty of result, systematicity, transferability of results, speed of development, added value of technology, distinctiveness from competitors, and credibility. The result of technology is the potential of learning, and the extent of the application of technology Conclusion: Identifying related factors will provide the possibility for knowledge-based companies to help improve the level of complexity of the country’s own activities.
