This event sat down the foundations later on in those that would be sustained, a process through which the country will face a transition that was able to put an end to the system of having left hegemónico1 and presidencialista, aspiring with this fact, to establish once and for all for all an electoral and political system of characteristic democratic, sustained in a legitimate way through the vote. In that year you began, when existing an electoral true competition, to experience with communication strategies and political marketing that before didn't exist in Mexico, as the use of electoral surveys. En nuestro país la presencia de propaganda política a través de los medios es abundante y prácticamente permanente. En el año de 1988 ocurrió un hecho electoral que habría de marcar la vida política del país de manera indeleble. En julio de ese año se realizaron las controvertidas elecciones presidenciales para el sexenio 1988-1994. Este acontecimiento sentó los cimientos en los que se sustentaría, posteriormente, un proceso a través del cual el país iba a enfrentar una transición que logró acabar con el sistema de partido hegemónico1 y presidencialista, aspirando con este hecho, a instaurar de una vez por todas un sistema electoral y político de características democráticas, sustentado de manera legítima a través del voto. En aquel año se comenzó, al existir una verdadera competencia electoral, a experimentar con estrategias de comunicación y marketing político que antes no existían en México, como el uso de encuestas electorales.
