The project Come acqua che scorre (Like flowing water) of the Museo Popoli e Culture in Milan involved adolescents between the ages of 14 and 18 to encourage reflection on cultural and personal identity. Aimed at youth groups outside the school context, the course consisted of confrontation and autonomy activities, using the museum's collection as a stimulus. The main objectives are the strengthening of self-esteem and self-awareness and the promotion of an intercultural approach. Despite some logistical difficulties, the project was successful and was integrated into the museum's educational offerings. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We live in a time of global environmental crisis. There is a depletion of non-renewable nature resources and irreversible destruction of Earth's ecosystems. Philosophy fighting against them penetrate our consciousness and are part of our everyday. There is a conflict of anthropocentric and biocentric perception of the world, which was developed on the basis of environmental accidents after the World War II. This change in thinking brings one to a new way of perceiving its surroundings andforcing him to act accordingly. Not only leads to the "back to nature", but further to the change in self-perception, a change of identity - to identify with nature, which is also called Deep Ecology. This identity of ecologist - identification with nature itself - may seem unusual. However, it doesn't have hazards. If it stays in the dimensions of ethical rules, may be the environmental benefit. CULTURAL diplomacy , *SERBS , *TWENTY-first century , *IDIOMS - Abstract
Serbian cultural diplomacy at the Eurovision Song Contest includes both the presentation of elements of the Serbian musical idiom and the effective use of dominant trends in European popular music. The aim of this article is to attempt to define the characteristic elements of the musical content of three Serbian songs in the Eurovision editions of the twenty-first century, such as minor mode and Aeolian mode, to indicate different aspects of the analysis of their lyrics, to clarify the peculiarities of visual identity in the performance on the Eurovision stage and to determine the role of these elements in the construction of the identity of the Serbian Eurovision song at the beginning of the twenty-first century. 6. Quando il perturbante diventa traumatico… e viceversa.

- Abstract
Very often nowdays we are exposed to different kinds of diffuse traumatism more than to well defined traumatic events, with deep consequences on both individual and collective structures. In these situations it’s very difficult working through the traumatic experiences just because they become really uncanny, crossing the border between familiar and unfamiliar. Starting from Freud’s works on trauma and the uncanny, we examine the subjectivation’s pathways in our times, their specific difficulties in recognizing the Other and their need of resorting to various kinds of “doubles”, which are always really uncanny.

Fundamentalism is mainly of religious kind. In this essay, the religious feeling is considered an analytical subject-matter as a compromise between conscious and unconscious desires. It is treated as a transitional mental content curbing freedom of personal thought and agency. Through a brief historical survey, it is shown how fundamentalism does not equate with Islam, rather it is a 'overall psychological reaction' related to both authoritarian and dependent personality traits. The upholded thesis is that fundamentalism generates when a belief is radicalized and substitutes for a narcissistically wounded identity. This latter is especially unstable in people migrated in different religious and cultural environment due to the cultural, symbolic and identity eradication. The second and third generation seems to be those more affected. An individual Ego Ideal is superimposed to society; it becomes the justificatory for terroristic actions in which the freezing and Self-damaging experience is made resonate into others. Fundamentalism is a fusion desire with the supreme which the aim of healing the wounded identity; it is expressed through deathnarcissism which, in turns, leads to the complete stillness. - Abstract
A comparison with others, with boundaries, is necessary to develop a symbolic function. The representation of reality must be periodically deconstructed and reconstructed with new materials to remain subjectively significant. A clinical case is presented to exemplify how complex the journey towards adulthood can be, a journey towards the unknown, with an outcome not obvious, that can evoke even intense anguish. The crisis of adolescence can bring out pre-existing structural fragilities and ambiguities, touching the delicate balance of the person, inevitably poised between an internal and an external world, and who does not always find comfort when trying to be reflected in the figures of reference. WORLD War I ,PEACE treaties ,HISTORIANS ,SCHOLARS ,ANTHROPOLOGICAL linguistics - Abstract
The article takes a historical approach to the phenomenon of Hungarian literature in Czechoslovakia and Slovakia. As a result of peace treaties ending the First World War not only new states, but also new literatures appeared on the map of Europe. Hungarian authors of the former Austria-Hungary started to write a completely new literature in a completely new state which required a completely new terminology as well. This article tries to shed light on key factors that shaped this literature and the identity of its authors, as well as on issues that preoccupied literary scholars from its early years to the present days. Since the article was based on source texts in Hungarian language that are not accessible in other languages, it can be also considered as a short summary and overview of Hungarian literature written in Czechoslovakia and Slovakia and the space for introducing its most relevant literary scholars, literary historians, and their most important theoretical and historical works on this phenomenon. In this way, it can also provide a starting point for further research. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Summary: This article discusses the image of the Argives in Euripides' "Children of Heracles", and the role of this tragedy in the construction of the identity of the Athenian polis by means of its collective memories. Eurystheus and the Argives represent the 'other' in the dramatic structure, and more specifically they could evoke the memory of Darius' and Xerxes' Persians. In this way, the tragedy contributes to the construction of an Athenian 'intentional history' through different temporal dimensions (the past of myth, the recent past of the polis, its present and its future).

In an age characterised by the end of the belief in the great metanarratives that had marked the 19th century-in particular the end of the Hegelian and the Marxist ones-the challenge that today History presents us is to think in different terms about the relationship between History and truth. Indeed, Europe is not characterised by the possession of truth, but by openness to the idea of truth. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

CULTURAL identity , *MOTHERS , *NARRATIVES - Abstract
In this paper the author explores a cultural narrative that she suggests rests on the concepts of the Feminine and Masculine as such, employing both as though they contain an agreed set of universal givens. These givens are extrapolated from an androcentric perspective on female and male bodies, in particular their biological functions regarding reproduction. The metaphors of the baby‐in‐womb, mother's preoccupation with child and heteronormative sexual relations are the primary cyphers for the narrative. She suggests that remaining unconscious of this narrative, such that it is taken as a universal given, can hamper a person's relation to themselves, the world and others. The author names two concepts, Home and Identity: Home being an hospitable and accommodating space with Identity denoting the one who inhabits the space. In the narrative these two are unhelpfully categorized as belonging to the Feminine and the Masculine respectively. For ease of understanding the author uses a capital letter to designate an abstract idea, and lower case when referring to the concrete or particular. Clinical examples are given throughout the paper to illustrate how acknowledgement and awareness of this narrative might free the analyst or therapist to think more broadly around issues pertaining to space and identity. Aside from economic and social questions, the African Continent is also now confronting the delicate question of cultural identity. The historical process marked by the phases of colonisation/decolonisation/globalisation-global colonisation, has had, and continues to have, a profound influence on African architectural culture, in which it is possible to recognise diverse attitudes. Urban culture is generating a complex and articulated reflection by artists and architects tackling the effects of contemporary globalisation, as well as the contradictory legacy of colonialism and stereotypes linked to African identity. Rural contexts, instead, are witnessing a renewed emergence of an approach that considers the needs of dwelling expressed by local communities, re-elaborating architectural culture and traditional construction.

GENDER identity , *NEURODIVERSITY , *INTROSPECTION - Abstract
This paper considers how labels may be used: "Neurodiverse," "genderfluid," "sex‐positive," "ADHD," and "highly‐sensitive" are just some of the labels that may be offered by patients in introducing themselves. Such labels can be thought of as shortcuts, a way to define identity and sum up a feeling state, attitude, or behaviour. While they may sometimes be "given" in the sense of a diagnosis, they are also "found" and self‐adopted. Using scaffolding as a metaphor for allowing growth or development to take place (or compensate for its absence), the phenomenon of self‐labelling is presented as fulfilling different functions, namely: Label as mirrored reflection; Label as creative defence; Label as something with which to play; Label as container for that which cannot yet be known; Label as calling something into being; and Label as collective dream image. The article starts with three brief composite clinical sketches, and goes on to explore some of the ways that labels may be used with reference to the presented clinical material. FEMININE identity , *POPULAR music genres , *SUBCULTURES , *MASCULINITY , *VISUALIZATION , *SEXISM , *MASCULINE identity , *ACADEMIC dissertations - Abstract
Is there a prototype for the 21st-century female metalhead? And can it be described? This is one of many questions I am addressing in my partial research, which is a continuation of my long-term dissertation research on female identity in the metal subculture in contemporary Czechia. In the metal subculture, women are still a marginalized minority, but with their thinking and specific conception of style and image. The image here is not uniform; on the contrary, it is very individualized and original. The male world often inspires female metalheads, but this is not the rule, and the motivations for a particular view of the subculture can be very peculiar within masculinity. But at the same time, they are women - will they stand up in this masculine subculture and outside of it? Is there specific sexism towards women here too, and does this undermine the integrity of the female world? And are there sex symbols that have the same visual and cultural connotations in the metal subculture as in mainstream music genres? In this paper, I address issues of style, identification, image, and cultural conceptions of female visualization in a metal subculture that has never fully revealed its feminine side. Psychotherapy with adolescents is the experience of a journey through the complex paths of self-definition. What happens in the minds of young people who have lived with disabilities since childhood? Therapy is filled with experiences full of pain and anger for a body and mind that do not allow you to be as you would like. The acceleration of socialization experiences amplifies experiences like a sounding board, making them always feel out of time with respect to each other. The work aims to underline how the mechanisms of separation-individuation are immediately influenced by specific needs and by the patient's clinical picture. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Professional identity of the legal and pedagogical professionals in prison settings has been greatly affected by transformations that have occurred over time in the culture of the penal and penitentiary system. The transition towards a re-educating culture of the prison system after the Second World War has highlighted a new identity, a new role. This is not always accompanied by new awareness and educational practices and behaviours. This paper intends to reconstruct the professional identity of the legal and pedagogical professionals and their role while working through a short normative excursus that over time accompanied its definition. The ability of professionals to construct the meaning of their educational job and role in prison is affected by the values, ethics and knowledge of each single professional. It is also affected by the social and working system they belong to. The more each professional is able to autonomously construct the sense of his/her own work and professional role, the clearer and more conscious acted his/her identity is. Explicit rules do not necessarily impact on that. La professionalità rieducativa in carcere. Identità e valenze educative incorporate nelle policy, prassi e comportamenti organizzativi.

- Abstract
The paper attempts to reflect on the value and meaning of psychoanalysis as well as the very fact of what to be a psychoanalyst means. Psychoanalysis is seen as a path towards the possibility of obtaining greater degrees of freedom in life, within the limits of what is possible, by facing the desires, difficulties and fears that growing up entails, such as the need and the fear of needing other, or the very fantasy of being able to find ourselves deprived of the protection that our chains offer us. We don’t grow up alone, but benefiting from our family, as well as from friends and colleagues, from our own analysts and masters who have supported us in our training, searching for our own personal identity in which past experiences can be given new meaning in a new authenticity. A fragment of a clinical experience is presented in which analyst and patient meet, with their mutual personal histories, motivations, and desires, as people with different roles who decide to have a common intention. 41.

- Abstract
When narratives become fixed, not open to change or modification, they are expressions of stupidity, as described by Kohon, be it in pathology, psychoanalysis, political discourse, or the present upsurge of identity politics: a symbolic impoverishment that amounts to a collapse of thirdness. The longing for certitudes based on the illusion of completeness, present in all of us, is linked to the ideal ego, an archaic narcissistic fusion with an omnipotent mother. In our work, our identification with Freud as an ego ideal prevents any incestuous acting out of the transferential bond by introducing a symbolic third, difference, and the world of culture. WESTERN civilization , *LIBERALISM , *CONSERVATISM , *GAZE , *LIBERTY - Abstract
The idea of freedom is at the origin of Western civilization, and the one cannot exist without the other: this is the basic these here supported. The concept of freedom is also the core of liberal thought, which is one of the pillars of the modern Western world. But liberalism is both in vogue and in crisis today. To understand this paradox, both conditions must be examined with a critical gaze, corresponding to the original spirit of liberalism itself. This critique (and self-criticism) of liberalism, conducted here on the basis of the concept of freedom, make it possible to achieve a regeneration of the liberal paradigm and its union with conservatism: liberalism in economics and conservatism in values. After some introductory considerations on the recent evolution of the film industry, marked by a higher degree of digitization and an increasingly fragmented use, this contribution focuses on the interdisciplinary nature of Film Studies. By highlighting how cinema can be interpreted as a tool for expressing plural identities, as fictitious manifestation of social changes, as well as intercultural space, is reaffirmed its function as a modern storyteller which continues to narrate and fascinate. The second part presents the contents of the monographic dossier, focusing attention on each essay published here.
