1. Ethical Issues in Uncontrolled Donation After Circulatory Determination of Death: A Scoping Review to Reveal Areas of Broad Consensus, and Those for Future Research

Abstract: Uncontrolled donation after circulatory determination of death (uDCD) protocols are established in several countries with good outcomes. We reviewed the literature between 1997 and 2024 to identify ethical issues. 33 papers were identified. Several areas of continued ethical debate were delineated: the role of advanced life support techniques; the ethical acceptability of aortic occlusion balloons; the nature and timing of consent to organ preserving techniques; whether best interests can/should extend beyond individual bodily integrity in this context. Further empirical research and ethical analyses are needed in these domains. Broad consensus was identified on several issues including: decisions about termination of resuscitation and entry into a uDCD protocol should be made by different teams; at least 20–30 min of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation is required; a hands-off period of 5–7 min is required alongside continuous monitoring; organ preserving techniques should be as minimally invasive as possible; families should be approached early to discuss organ donation by trained staff; public knowledge and engagement about uDCD is poor and must be improved; transparency and informed consent are essential for potential uDCD organ recipients. To maintain transparency and encourage positive public engagement we propose a name change from uDCD to Organ Donation after Sudden Irreversible Cardiac Arrest (ODASICA).

2. Cerofolini’s Model and the Fractal Adsorption Isotherms

Abstract: The close link between the roughness of a surface and its adsorptive properties in Cerofolini’s model yields, with an adequate choice of adsorption energy, the well-known Dubinin-Radushkevich or Freundlich adsorption isotherms. Assuming fractal behavior concerning both energetic and geometric surface heterogeneities described by the power-law expressions and fractal dimensions, the paper will develop some fractal adsorption isotherms. Using our theoretical approach, fractal isotherms will provide insights not only into the fractal behavior of the surface geometry but also into the fractal energetic heterogeneities, implying that a sorbent does not need to be porous to apply a fractal isotherm: adsorption on “flat” surfaces can also be described by fractal isotherms and fractal dimensions related to energetic disorders. For example, the theory will be applied to computing the energetic fractal dimensions of some nanoparticle catalysts, Rh/Al2O3, Rh/TiO2, and Rh/WO3.

Abstract: We use IT applications to solve various problems, such as buying various things, communication or professional matters. Everything seems to be solved faster when we shop on online platforms (virtual stores) because we can analyse several offers, see the best deals and then decide which one suits our purpose. Sometimes the items bought online are returned for the following reasons: they do not look as they were presented on the website; these items have functional problems or do not fit (this is the situation with clothing and footwear products). Usually, the fit problems occur because the customer did not choose the right size, the model does not have a size range that fits the customer, or the customer has a particular body shape. The return rate (fit problem) can decrease if the customer can virtually try on the selected model during the purchase process to check how it looks on their body. Assuming that customers also have the option to personalise the product according to their body shape or desires, their satisfaction increases. In this case, the number of returned or unsold products is reduced, and a dynamic and positive advertising campaign for the brand can be carried out (based on customer reviews). This paper proposes an integrated solution for online marketing of customised clothing products (website for medium or small companies), using a virtual test room that simulates the product on the virtual mannequin in different positions (360°).

5. Modified Catalysts and Their Fractal Properties

Abstract: Obtaining high-area catalysts is in demand in heterogeneous catalysis as it influences the ratio between the number of active surface sites and the number of total surface sites of the catalysts. From this point of view, fractal theory seems to be a suitable instrument to characterize catalysts’ surfaces. Moreover, catalysts with higher fractal dimensions will perform better in catalytic reactions. Modifying catalysts to increase their fractal dimension is a constant concern in heterogeneous catalysis. In this paper, scientific results related to oxide catalysts, such as lanthanum cobaltites and ferrites with perovskite structure, and nanoparticle catalysts (such as Pt, Rh, Pt-Cu, etc.) will be reviewed, emphasizing their fractal properties and the influence of their modification on both fractal and catalytic properties. Some of the methods used to compute the fractal dimension of the catalysts (micrograph fractal analysis and the adsorption isotherm method) and the computed fractal dimensions will be presented and discussed.

Abstract: In this paper, the CO oxidation on Pd/TiO 2 and Pd/SnO 2 /TiO 2 catalysts was studied using a non-conventional tool: AC electrical measurements in operando conditions. The structural and textural properties of the obtained powders have been characterized using BET, XRD, SEM, and CO chemisorption. Their redox properties were tested using the TPR technique. The surface dynamics was studied by electrical conductivity measurements under similar conditions with those encountered in the practical use in catalysis and correlated with their performances in CO oxidation.

Abstract: A series of Pt-VOx/γ-Al2O3 catalysts with vanadium loading corresponding to 5 and 20 wt% V2O5 was prepared by impregnation method. The catalytic performance of the obtained materials was investigated in propene deep oxidation reaction. The catalysts were characterized by N2 physisorption, chemical analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD), temperature-programmed reduction (TPR), electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy, and UV–Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. Alternating current (AC) electrical conductivity measurements (differential steps technique) were performed in situ during propene oxidation, using an own design reactivity cell. The variation in the measured electrical conductance brings information about the relative oxidation state of the catalyst's surface during reaction. It was found by TPR, EPR, and UV–Vis that the presence of platinum facilitates the reduction of V5+ to V4+ species. The catalytic performance of the investigated catalysts was discussed in relation to their structure, reducibility, and conductance.

Abstract: Background: Obstetrical analgesia remains a matter of controversy because of the fear of neurotoxicity of local anesthetics on demyelinated fibers or their potential relationship with subsequent relapses. Objective: To assess the impact of neuraxial analgesia on the risk of relapse during the first 3 months post-partum, with a focus on women who experienced relapses during pregnancy. Methods: We analyzed data of women followed-up prospectively during their pregnancies and at least 3 months post-partum, collected in the Pregnancy in Multiple Sclerosis (PRIMS) and Prevention of Post-Partum Relapses with Progestin and Estradiol in Multiple Sclerosis (POPARTMUS) studies between 1992–1995 and 2005–2012, respectively. The association of neuraxial analgesia with the occurrence of a post-partum relapse was estimated by logistic regression analysis. Results: A total of 389 women were included, 215 from PRIMS and 174 from POPARTMUS. In total, 156 women (40%) had neuraxial analgesia. Overall, 24% experienced a relapse during pregnancy and 25% in the 3 months post-partum. Women with a pregnancy relapse were more likely to have a post-partum relapse (odds ratio (OR) = 1.83, p = 0.02), independently of the use of neuraxial analgesia. There was no association between neuraxial analgesia and post-partum relapse (OR = 1.08, p = 0.78). Conclusion: Neuraxial analgesia was not associated with an increased risk of post-partum relapses, whatever multiple sclerosis (MS) activity during pregnancy.

Abstract: INTRODUCTION Preoperative jaundice is considered a relative contraindication to radical gallbladder cancer (GBC) resection due to poor prognosis and high postoperative morbidity. Recent reports have indicated that aggressive surgery may improve long-term survival for patients with advanced GBC who present with obstructive jaundice. The current systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to compare postoperative outcomes among jaundiced and non-jaundiced patients with resectable GBC. Abstract: CO oxidation on TiO2 was studied in order to obtain detailed information about the reaction mechanism. Simultaneous kinetic and electrical measurements were performed at 400 °C. Experimental data have indicated that the oxidation occurs through a Langmuir–Hinshelwood mechanism, with the oxygen dissociation as rate-determining step.

Abstract: AC electrical conductivity of CeO2 catalyst samples containing 5, 10 and 20 wt% SnO2 prepared by co-precipitation and of SnO2 and CeO2 pure oxides (prepared under the same conditions) was measured in operando conditions. The measurements were carried out at a frequency of 1592 Hz in the temperature range from room temperature up to 400 °C, using successively programmed heating–cooling cycles under various atmospheres. The catalyst samples were tested in the catalytic oxidation of CO in presence and in absence of oxygen in the same temperature range (30–400 °C). An improved deep oxidation of carbon monoxide has been found with these co-precipitated mixed oxides compared to pure components, leading to a better catalytic activity at lower temperature. The band gap energies were estimated based on the UV–Vis spectra and correlated with XRD results and AC electrical conductivity data. These results show the influence of the tin oxide on the electrical properties and oxygen mobility of the catalytic systems studied and on the surface behaviour of ceria.

Abstract: The surface behavior of a series of SnO2 (5, 10 and 20 wt.%) - CeO2 catalyst samples prepared by impregnation method and also pure SnO2, CeO2, was studied based on the response of the ac electrical conductivity. The electrical measurements were carried out in operando conditions in order to obtain information about the surface interaction with reactants during CO/hydrocarbon oxidation over these catalysts. The apparent activation energies of conduction in presence of CO:O2 and C3H6:air mixtures were presented. The catalyst samples were tested in catalytic oxidation of CO and C3H6 at temperature range of room temperature up to 400 C. The catalytic activity in both oxidation reactions and selectivity towards CO2 in propylene oxidation at 400 C exhibited by the SnO2-CeO2 systems were significantly higher to those exhibited by the pure ceria catalyst.

Abstract: The surface dynamics of SnO2/γ-Al2O3 catalysts with different tin dioxide loadings (3 and 20 wt%) prepared by the impregnation method were investigated by using in situ electrical/dielectric measurements. The samples were characterized by BET, inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction methods. The propylene oxidation reaction, in the temperature range of 30–400 °C, was used to identify the catalytic activity of SnO2 based catalysts. Results are discussed on the bases of the electrical changes accompanying variation of the active phase content. The conductance/capacitance of supported samples evidenced the reciprocal influence of the support and of the guest oxide.

Abstract: The electrical conductivity and the catalytic activity of SnO2 loaded TiO2 (anatase) particles were investigated in operando conditions. SnO2 depositions over commercial TiO2 samples (Sigma Aldrich and Rhone Poulenc) were obtained by the impregnation method. The samples were characterized by XRD, SEM/EDX and BET–N2 adsorption techniques. The AC electrical conductivity of the samples were measured between 25 and 400 °C under various atmospheres. The effect of the reactant mixture on the electrical conductivity and the catalytic performances of the samples were tested in propene oxidation. The results showed that the conductivity of SnO2/TiO2 samples depends strongly on the surface area of TiO2 support. The reducing effect of propene is more evident for higher surface area catalysts, these one showing also higher activity. On the other hand, the SnO2 deposition results in an increase of catalytic performances.

Abstract: The in situ electrical properties and the catalytic activity of copper ferrite obtained by co-precipitation and thermal decomposition of polynuclear coordination compounds were studied in the propane oxidation reaction. The sample prepared by complexation had a better catalytic activity. Based on the conductivity data and the relative phase distribution in fresh and used compounds, the results are discussed in terms of the redox-type mechanism.

Abstract: Introduction/Background Multiple sclerosis often results in upper limb dysfunction which significantly affects patients’ quality of life. However, little support is currently proposed for this deficit. Fampridine-PR is validated to improve walking speed but only few studies indicate that this drug may also be effective on upper limb function, with no detailed functional movement analysis. The aim of this study is to assess efficacy of fampridine-PR on improving grasping abilities in persons with Multiple Sclerosis (PwMS) by using a global analysis including both clinical and kinematic criteria. Material and method We included 14 consecutive PwMS with EDSS > 5 and we performed Jebsen Hand Function Test (JHFT) before treatment and under treatment. Patients showing a consistent improvement at D14 (n = 11 patients showing at least 12% reduction between D0 and D14) continued the treatment and the JHFT score were measured after 30 and 90 days under treatment. We also quantified upper force using dynamometers after 14, 30 and 90 days of treatment. In addition 3D kinematic analyses (grasping a glass) were realized with each arm on each assessment. Results JHFT score dropped from day 0 to day 14 by more than 20% and remained stable up to day 90. Individual analysis highlighted that improvement of JHFT score varied from 12.4% to 59.3% from initial score. The evolution of testing score followed the same trend. The hand dynanometer score remained heterogeneous. The kinematic analysis showed a better opening of the grip and a smoothing of the arm movement with less velocity peaks. Conclusion The results suggest that Fampridine-PR can significantly improve grasping function during at least the 90 days of our follow-up.

Abstract: Idiopathic orthostatic hypotension (formerly known as Shy-Drager syndrome) is a multiple system atrophy, which is characterized by autonomic dysregulation. Providing perioperative hemodynamic stability during narcosis is therefore a particular challenge. The effects of general anesthesia on systemic vascular resistance and cardiac output in a patient with idiopathic orthostatic hypotension undergoing retropubic prostatectomy will be reported. In the case presented perioperative hemodynamic stability was achieved by aggressive volume therapy guided by global end-diastolic volume measurement and low-dose catecholamine therapy.

Abstract: A series of SnO2–CeO2 powder mixed oxides (with 5, 10, and 20 % wt SnO2) was prepared, characterized and used to study the sensing properties for CO, in absence of oxygen, using a CO-helium mixture. The results have shown that the SnO2–CeO2 powder has good response and recovery characteristics. This powder has better sensitivity to CO than pure SnO2 at the working temperature of 400–450 °C. A sensing mechanism was proposed and discussed in this paper. The results have indicated that the SnO2–CeO2 mixed oxides can be used as CO sensors, in absence of oxygen.

These activation energies of ignition are greater than the activation energies of the corresponding oscillations. The obtained results are discussed by assuming a PdOx redox cycle.

Abstract: The changes of the electrical properties of semiconductor oxide catalysts, when measured in situ provide useful information about surface processes as adsorption/desorption/reaction occur with charge transfer. The electrical properties of polycrystalline powders, mainly controlled by inter-grain Schottky-type barriers, are sensible to the “quality” of the surface/inter-grain domains, to sample morphology and to changes in charge and coverage of the surface due to operating conditions. This can be exploited to study oxide catalysts dispersed on supports at nanoscale levels for answering questions like: (i) adsorption ability of the surface layer and (ii) the influence of the active phase and of the support. It is demonstrated that for low loading supported SnO 2 or V 2 O 5 catalysts (also important as sensor materials), the conductivity plots show the “fingertip” of the support, which controls the behavior of the supported phase. As an example, the lower propylene combustion activity of SnO 2 when dispersed on γ-Al 2 O 3 is explained by hydrophile/proton conductor properties of the support; γ-Al 2 O 3 diminishes the oxygen adsorption ability of SnO 2 by providing a higher concentration of molecularly adsorbed water and surface OH groups towards its surface. It is proposed that by selecting appropriate n-type semiconductor oxide supports (as TiO 2 ), and by increasing the surface conductivity one can increase the oxygen adsorption ability of the supported phase, with increased activity for combustion/chemical sensing. This suggests the possibility of tuning the surface properties of the supported oxide by inter-phase charge (electron or ion) transfer.

Abstract: High surface area BN powders have been prepared from different precursors to be used as supports for noble metal catalysts. The more suitable boron nitride powders were obtained using polytrichoroborazine, pTCB, as precursor, leading to a surface area higher than 150 m2/g. The BN powders were characterized by XRD, XPS, TG, SEM and adsorption microcalorimetry measurements (aniline and ammonia). The preliminary results showed a remarkable stability of the BN supports, even in the presence of moisture. Palladium impregnation of the BN powders was performed using a classical method and the obtained catalysts exhibited a high dispersion with Pd particles of about 4 nm.

The mass–radius relation was used to determine the fractal dimensions from the images. These fractal dimensions were corrected in order to obtain the powder fractal dimensions. The results indicate a good fractal behavior and high fractal dimensions.

Abstract: Background Intrathecal administration of opioids may cause lower urinary tract dysfunction. In this study, the authors compared the effects of morphine and sufentanil administered intrathecally in a randomized double-blind fashion (two doses each) on lower urinary tract function in healthy male volunteers. Methods Urodynamic evaluation was performed before and every hour after drug administration up to complete recovery of lower urinary tract function using pressure and flow measurements recorded from catheters in the bladder and rectum. Sense of urge and urinary flow rates were assessed every hour by filling the bladder with its cystometric capacity and asking the patient to void. Full recovery was defined as a residual volume of less than 10% of bladder capacity and a maximum flow rate within 10% of the initial value. Results Intrathecal administration of both opioids caused dose-dependent suppression of detrusor contractility and decreased sensation of urge. Mean times to recovery of normal lower urinary tract function were 5 and 8 h after 10 or 30 microg sufentanil and 14 and 20 h after 0.1 or 0.3 mg morphine, respectively. This recovery profile can be explained by the spinal pharmacokinetics of both opioids. Conclusions Intrathecal opioids decrease bladder function by causing dose-dependent suppression of detrusor contractility and decreased sensation of urge. Recovery of normal lower urinary tract function is significantly faster after intrathecal sufentanil than after morphine, and the recovery time is clearly dose dependent.

Abstract: Changes of electrical properties of dry and wet γ-Al 2 O 3 surface during interaction with a propylene–air mixture was studied in situ, by following a standard protocol of experiments, under simultaneous monitoring of the composition of the inlet/effluent gas. Data were compared with results obtained on a higher surface area alumina (mainly boehmite). Adsorption of water or hydrocarbon is discussed in terms of various possible intermediate species and adsorption sites. IR spectra on CO adsorption were used to identify the effect of temperature on the evolution of Lewis acid sites on the two alumina surfaces. Electrical properties were dominated by protonic conduction, with H 3 O + and C 3 H 7 + as possible mobile species at low temperature. The increase of electrical conductivity (above 300 °C for γ-Al 2 O 3 and at 200 °C for the other sample), slightly higher in presence of propylene, was in good correlation with the catalytic behavior in propylene oxidation. This increase regained also in tan δ –temperature plots was assigned to the lattice mobilization.

Abstract: Small scale experiments on explosion transmission through a narrow cylindrical tube (diameter: 3.0–8.3 mm) between two cylindrical vessels were performed, using a stoichiometric C3H6/air mixture at various initial pressures within the range 20–120 kPa. The successful explosion transmission between the linked vessels occurred above a critical initial pressure, which increases when the tube diameter decreases. The critical pressure of transmission measured for upward flame propagation is lower than the one for downward propagation, at each value of the tube diameter. Different patterns of pressure evolution were observed for upward and downward flame propagation. The influence of the tube diameter and initial pressure on the characteristic features of explosion evolution in each vessel (the peak pressures, the maximum rates of pressure rise and the time delay between ignition in the primary and secondary vessel) are discussed.

Abstract: Thermokinetic oscillations obtained during the heterogeneous catalytic oxidation of methanol on Pd/LiAl5O8 in a dynamic calorimeter were characterized by an overall activation energy. This parameter was determined using the minimum and maximum values of the temperature oscillations. Using bifurcation diagrams with oxygen or methanol as bifurcation parameters. E values for all heating loss laws were calculated which are within the range for heterogeneous catalytic oxidation reactions. The obtained results have been discussed.

Abstract: Pancreatic cancer is one of the most lethal malignancies and is associated with a very poor overall survival. However, it seems that the only curative option remains an aggressive surgical approach capable of obtaining a radical resection. Unfortunately, this desiderate is even harder to be obtained when it comes to pancreatic tumors with vascular invasion.We present the case of a 65-year-old patient who was diagnosed with a cephalopancreatic tumor invading both the portal vein and the superior mesenteric artery.Whipple procedure was performed with portal and superior mesenteric artery resection; the continuity of the portal vein was established by an end-to-end anastomosis, while the superior mesenteric artery was re-implanted in the infra-renal aorta.Due to improvements of surgical techniques and postoperative management, the postoperative morbidity and early mortality significantly decreased and enabled the surgeon to perform ultra-radical surgery with better outcome.

Abstract: UNLABELLED Paravertebral blockade (PVB) has been advocated as a useful technique for breast surgery. We prospectively compared the efficacy of PVB via a catheter technique with the efficacy of general anesthesia (GA) for minor breast surgery. Thirty patients were randomized into two groups to receive either PVB or GA. Variables of efficacy were postoperative pain measured on a visual analog scale, postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV), recovery time, and patient satisfaction. Postoperative visual analog scale scores in the PVB group were significantly lower in the early postoperative period (maximum, 12 vs 45 mm; P < 0.01). In both groups, PONV was nearly absent. There was no difference in recovery time. Patient satisfaction was better in the PVB group (2.8 vs 2.3; scale, 0-3; P < 0.01). There was one inadvertent epidural block and one inadvertent pleural puncture in the PVB group. Although PVB resulted in better postoperative pain relief, the advantages over GA were marginal in this patient group because postoperative pain was relatively mild and the incidence of PONV was small. Considering that the technique has a certain complication rate, we conclude that at present the risk/benefit ratio of PVB does not favor routine use for minor breast surgery. IMPLICATIONS This study confirms the previously reported superior pain relief after paravertebral blockade (PVB) for breast surgery. However, considering the relatively mild postoperative pain and therefore the limited advantage of PVB for these patients, the risk/benefit ratio does not favor the routine use of PVB for minor breast surgery.

Abstract: The acid-base properties of supported gallium oxide catalysts have been investigated by microcalorimetry and FTIR spectroscopy of pyridine (acidity) and CO 2 (basicity) adsorption. Pyridine adsorption microcalorimetry has shown that loading supports such as γ-Al 2 O 3 , TiO 2 , and ZrO 2 with gallium oxide in a surface concentration close to the theoretical monolayer, resulted in a decrease of the surface acidity of the catalysts compared to that of the supports while, in the case of SiO 2 , new Lewis acid sites were created. The number of acid sites for the supported and bulk gallium oxide catalysts was in the following order: Ga 2 O 3 /SiO 2 < Ga 2 O 3 /ZrO 2 < Ga 2 O 3 /TiO 2 Ga 2 O 3 < Ga 2 O 3 /Al 2 O 3 . This order is related to the degree of dispersion of gallium oxide on the surface of each support and to the interaction between guest and host oxides. Two types of Lewis acid sites were identified by pyridine adsorption, corresponding to the support and the supported gallium oxide, respectively. The catalysts displayed very weak basicity, except for the samples supported on zirconia and alumina.

Abstract: Changes of electrical conductance and capacity of γ-Al 2 O 3 were studied in situ during dehydration/rehydration in gas flow. The measurements were performed at atmospheric pressure by following a standard protocol of experiments, and were coupled with simultaneous monitoring of the composition of the inlet/effluent gas. The electrical properties are dominated by the protonic conduction. It was shown that at low temperature this occurs by vehicle mechanism, being facilitated by the presence of water molecule adsorbed on γ-Al 2 O 3 surface; the decrease of electrical conductance on heating is obviously connected with dehydration. At higher temperature ( t >200°C) conduction is dominated by proton hopping between OH groups (Grotthuss mechanism). It is suggested that in current operating conditions in catalysis, γ-Al 2 O 3 is only partially dehydrated/dehydroxylated, the bulk acting as a source of water/OH groups for the surface; this process controls the acidity of alumina and alumina-supported catalysts.

Abstract: The surface properties of supported gallium oxide catalysts prepared by impregnation of various supports (γ-Al2O3, SiO2, TiO2, ZrO2) were investigated by adsorption microcalorimetry, using ammonia and water as probe molecules. In the case of acidic supports (γ-Al2O3, ZrO2, TiO2), the acidic character of supported gallium catalysts always decreased in comparison with gallium-free supports; on very weakly acidic SiO2, new acidic centers were created when depositing Ga2O3. The addition of gallium oxide decreased the hydrophilic properties of alumina, titania and zirconia, but increased the amount of water adsorbed on silica. The catalytic performances in the selective catalytic reduction of NO by C2H4 in excess oxygenwere in the order Ga/Al2O3>Ga/TiO2>Ga/ZrO2>>Ga/SiO2. This order is more related to the quality of the dispersion of Ga2O3 on the support than to the global acidity of the solids.

Abstract: Following treatment of mediastinal Hodgkin's disease (HD), residual masses are frequent and gallium scanning has proven to be of value in the evaluation of their specificity (fibrosis or active disease). This study assessed, for relapse and survival, the predictive value of restaging gallium scan of patients with a residual mass on computed tomography scan after induction chemotherapy. Between 1/89 and 12/97, in 53 newly diagnosed HD patients with a residual mediastinal mass, a gallium scan was performed after chemotherapy (3 or 4 courses) and always before consolidative radiotherapy. Characteristics at diagnosis were: nodular sclerosis histology, 89%; bulky mediastinal disease, 79%; B-symptoms, 51%. Results: gallium scan was positive in 16 patients (30%) and negative in 37 (70%). Abstract: Samples with various amounts of tin oxide were prepared by impregnating γ-Al2O3, TiO2(anatase), SiO2, ZrO2 and MgO with tin tetrachloride or tributyltin acetate solutions. After drying and calcination, the samples were characterized by chemical analysis, XRD and BET measurements. Ammonia adsorption microcalorimetry was used in order to determine the number, strength and strength distribution of surface acid sites. The influence of the adsorption temperature, evacuation temperature, amount of SnO2 deposited and of the nature of the support on the adsorption properties were studied.
