The European Union’s embargo on Indonesian crude palm oil (CPO) has resulted in excess of domestic palm oil reserves. The embargo has resulted in a build-up of domestic CPO due to the fact that the majority of Indonesia’s CPO production is exported overseas. The CPO price has dropped in recent months as a result of CPO overstock. On the other hand, as a by-product of rice production, Indonesia produces millions of tons of rice bran. The bran is treated more as waste than a resource for raw material to produce valuable products, such as bran oil. The need for lubricants in Indonesia is expected to rise as the number of cars and industries grows. As a result, some lubricant requirements must be met through importation because domestic manufacturing is insufficient. Palm oil and bran oil are both excellent candidates for conversion into biolubricants. This paper looks at the possibility of biolubricant production in Indonesia using alternate raw materials rather than petroleum-based sources. The paper begins by detailing the country’s lubricant demand, then moves on to the probable availability of biolubricant raw materials in Indonesia, and finally to the biolubricant process production method.

The availability of raw materials is the key to the implementation of production activities so that suppliers, who are able to supply according to the needs of the company, are needed. If the material that comes is not according to the specifications requested, even though the supplier changes so that the amount of material is still fulfilled, it still causes disruption to the smooth production process. The aim of this study is to assess the supplier’s performance to optimize allocated raw material. This research was conducted at an animal feed factory. The raw materials used include yellow corn and rice bran, obtained from several suppliers. The raw material that comes in part is rejected because it is not in accordance with the requested specifications, among others due to excessive water content, mushroom content and the content of corn cobs that exceed the established limit. In this study, carried out a performance analysis of suppliers referring to 23 supplier assessment criteria by Dickson and used 6 selected criteria, namely quality, delivery, history of supplier performance, claim and guarantee policies, prices and communication systems. The optimal amount of raw material orders from the results of goal programming is allocated to each supplier based on their performance.

This research was conducted at a palm oil producing company in North Sumatra known as Sumatera Utara Province, Indonesia. This company has oil palm plantations, some of which have been converted to other businesses. This causes the production capacity that has been previously designed to be less effective in its use. This can be seen from the achievement of the target level of productivity. This research measured the level of productivity the company has achieved in the last two years using the Kendrick-Creamer Total Productivity Index Approach. The measurement results obtained over the past two years indicate that an increase in the total productivity index from 1.47 to 1.53. However, the increase has not been able to reach the productivity index target of 1.66. That was caused mainly by material, organizational, and installed capacity factors. The results obtained are selected alternatives for improvements to the sorting of materials, optimizing the production of his own garden, and maintaining screw press pressure with a total productivity index of 1.7.

Latar belakang. Infeksi rubela pada ibu hamil dapat mengakibatkan komplikasi yang serius pada janin.Maka remaja perempuan sebagai calon ibu harus telah mempunyai kadar antibodi anti-rubela yang tinggi.Tujuan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui prevalensi seropositif terhadap antibodi anti-rubelapada remaja perempuan sebagai upaya untuk menurunkan angka kejadian sindrom rubela kongenital.Metode. Penelitian deskriptif potong lintang, dilakukan terhadap 97 orang mahasiswi tingkat I dan IIFakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia, yang dipilih secara konsekutif pada bulan Mei-Juni 2007.Hasil. Usia rerata subjek 18,9 tahun (SD=1,0). Imunisasi MMR didapatkan pada 19 dari 97 subjekpenelitian (19,6%). Angka seropositif terhadap antibodi anti-rubela 71 subjek (73,2%) rerata kadar antibodianti-rubela 159,7 UI/ml (SD = 107,4). Proporsi seropositif antibodi anti-rubela yang diperoleh melaluiimunisasi MMR 19 dari 71 subjek (26,8%) nilai rerata kadar antibodi anti-rubela 148,9 UI/ml (SD =86,4). Proporsi seropositif antibodi anti-rubela yang diperoleh melalui infeksi alamiah 52 dari 71 subjek(73,2%) rerata kadar antibodi anti-rubela 163,6 UI/ml (SD = 114,7).Kesimpulan. Prevalensi seropositif antibodi anti-rubela 73,2%. Imunitas yang ditimbulkan denganpemberian imunisasi MMR sama dengan imunitas yang diperoleh dari infeksi alamiah.

Background Complex febrile seizures (CFS) have been shown to be related to recurrence and epilepsy. Many studies were done to determine the predictors of recurrence in both simple and com- plex febrile seizures. To our knowledge until now there is no pub- lished data that specially looks for predictors of recurrence after a first CFS. Objective To find out clinical and demographical characteristics of a first CFS and to define the predictors for the recurrent febrile seizures. Methods Prospective survival analysis study was done in chil- dren with first CFS who visited Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta, over 14 months periods. The predictors for development of recurrence were analyzed by SPSS for Windows 11.5 using Kaplan-Meier test and Cox regression model with a level of signifi- cance

The university participant pool is a key resource for behavioral research, and data quality is believed to vary over the course of the academic semester. This crowdsourced project examined time of semester variation in 10 known effects, 10 individual differences, and 3 data quality indicators over the course of the academic semester in 20 participant pools (N = 2696) and with an online sample (N = 737). Weak time of semester effects were observed on data quality indicators, participant sex, and a few individual differences conscientiousness, mood, and stress. However, there was little evidence for time of semester qualifying experimental or correlational effects. The generality of this evidence is unknown because only a subset of the tested effects demonstrated evidence for the original result in the whole sample. Mean characteristics of pool samples change slightly during the semester, but these data suggest that those changes are mostly irrelevant for detecting effects. (C) 2015 Elsevier Inc.
