Some viral infection in pregnancy can cause many complications such as fetal malformation.Human parvovirus B19 can cause a wide range of fetal damage without ultrasound indication. The relationship between parvovirus B19 and abortions is notlooking foryet. Thus, this study highlighted the serprevalence of Anti parvovirus B19 IgG and IgMamongst pregnant women spontaneously aborted. ELISA technique was selected to detect anti-human parvovirus B19 IgM and IgG. Ninety one (91) pregnant women their ages between (18-39) years. Serum samples were collected from laboratories in AlBatool Teaching Hospital for maternity and children in Baqubah city, Diyala province, Iraq. The study was conducted in the public health laboratory during the period from August 2019 till September 2019. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS-version 20 (P-value of < 0.05 ) as a significant difference. Sero-positivity rate was 3.29% (3 cases) for anti-parvovirus B19 IgM and 74.7% (68 cases) for IgG, while 78.02% (71 cases) were negative for both IgG and IgM. We conclude from the present study that the high incidence rate of anti-human parvovirus B19 were affected by the age of the pregnant woman, number of abortions and the period of pregnancy.
