Süper kahramanların her birinin farklı güçleri ve farklı amaçları, dolayısıyla farklı karakterleri vardır. Toplumsal, kültürel ve siyasal olaylardan etkilenerek yaratılan süper kahramanlar, 1938’den günümüze dek çizgi romanlar, filmler, oyunlar ve oyuncaklar aracılığıyla hayatımızın bir parçası olmuştur. Süper kahramanlar sosyal ortamlarında süper güçlerini ve kimliklerini gizledikleri için, genellikle yaşama ve çalışma alanlarının farklı yerlerde konumlandığı söylenebilir. Hem yaşama hem de çalışma alanları karakterlerini yansıtacak şekilde kurgulanmıştır. Bu makalenin amacı genelde süper kahramanların ve özelde Batman’ın karakter özelliklerinin yaşama mekanlarındaki temsiliyetini analiz etmektir. İlk olarak 1943’te çekilen ‘The Batman’ filminden bugüne gelen sürede sadece film endüstrisinde kullanılan teknoloji değişmemiş, Batman’ın karakteri, karakterin bir parçası haline gelen kostümleri ve yaşama mekanları da dönüşüm geçirmiştir. Gotham Şehri’nden (Gotham City) başlayarak Batman karakteri ile ilişkilendirilen kentsel ve mimari mekanların gelişimi güçlü şekilde Batman filmlerinde yer bulmaktadır. Batman mağarası aracılığıyla da iç mekan tasarımı karakter özelliklerini yansıtan önemli bir araç olmuştur. Batman’ın Wayne Malikanesi’nden (Wayne Manor) son filmdeki Bruce Wayne (Batman) için yeniden tasarlanan Batman Cam Evi’ne giden süreçte, yaşama mekanının tasarımındaki değişim Batman’ın yaratıldığı sosyo-kültürel bağlamda ele alınmıştır. Makalenin temel malzemesini oluşturan film analizleri yazılı kaynaklarla desteklenmiştir. Bu makale günümüz tüketim dünyasında sıradan insanın hor görülen hayatına bir alternatif olarak sunulan süper kahramanların varlıklarını gelecekte de sürdüreceğini ön görmekte ve çalışma süper kahramanların yaşama mekanlarının kurgu ve var olan arasındaki izini sürmek isteyenlere ışık tutmayı amaçlamaktadır.

Context is an external component that indicates the conditions surrounding a project site. The study shows the importance of architectural context for the architectural studio, where the study focuses on the results of students' work in Architectural design studio IV at the third year of architectural study, to explore students' abilities in how to link the concept with the site context. The studio centers studies in the classroom in the 2019 -2020 Spring semester, where due to pandemics all around the world, the online lectures continued digital platforms and homely.The research methodology is geared towards collecting 9 students 'work in the assigned studio, to explore their abilities in how to create the bond between their concept and the context, to see, what is the impact of the pandemic? The study aims to highlight the impact of context on the concept in future architectural education.

The role of furniture in commercial spaces supports the diversity of human interactions. Beyond the user's importance, furniture also reflects cultures and exerts psychological influences on people at different levels of social stratification. The style tells about a period, and its arrangement with form can contribute to the restaurant's ambiance. Today, restaurants have become an integral part of the urban space's functioning in food servicing provision and in conjunction with other subsidiary functions like Cafe to ease users' taste and intentions. This paper aims to identify the similarities and differences in the furniture used in two restaurants with different construction periods and districts-historical and modern within a city, Ginkgo Restaurant and Niazi's Restaurant in Famagusta-Cyprus. The study will also consider the spatiality of the restaurants and their synthesis with the outdoor space. The paper adopts a case-oriented approach, a thorough physical assessment of the indoor and outdoor spatiality of the restaurants selected. The techniques included field sketches/preparation of measured drawings and making field notes complemented by taking photographs. This comparative furniture analysis highlights public consciousness for tourists, designers, students, and Public-Private Partnership for cities undergoing urban change to pay attention to restaurant spaces as a proponent to sustainable urban health.

Ingiliz somurge doneminde ozellikle idari kamu binalarinin tasarimi ve insasi somurge yonetiminin degisik tarihsel asamalarinda Kibris'ta uygulamaya koydugu mimari felsefesindeki donusum ve surekliliklerin onemli bir gostergesi olmustur. Bu makale, Kibris mimari tarihinin onemli donusum sureclerinden birini olusturan Ingiliz somurge donemini birbirini takip eden uc tarihsel donemde ve bu donemlerde insa edilmis uc eserden hareketle incelemektedir. Bu cercevede Kibris'ta Ingiliz somurge donemi mimarisindeki sureklilik ve donusumler; Ingiliz Koloni Dilini olusturmada mimarinin yerine, Ingiliz Somurge Mimarisinin genel ozelliklerine, tarihsel gelisimine, Kibris’ta Ingiliz somurge dilinin mekâna yansima bicimlerine atifta bulunularak irdelenmektedir. Bu tarihsel ve kuramsal arkaplan baglaminda makale, 1878-1960 yillari arasinda Ingiliz somurge (koloni) yonetiminin uc farkli doneminde insa edilen kamusal binalarin mimari formlarinin, tasarimlarinin ve uygulamalarinin karsilastirmali analizi uzerinden Ingiliz somurge yonetiminin mimari politikalarindaki degisim ve sureklilikleri tartismaktadir.

The influence of the changes in the administrative and political culture on the architectural design and construction practices has clearly been striking in the urban planning and architecture of Nicosia, which is the center of political power representation in Lusignan, Venetian, Ottoman and British administrations throughout history. This article examines the political power in northern Nicosia in the historical period until the declaration of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus after the Republic of Cyprus (1960-1963) became virtually dysfunctional and the island's capital, Nicosia, was divided into north and south by the creation of the Green Line (Buffer Zone) in 1963. The article, which assesses the spatial transformation resulting from the policies of the immigrants in the direction of resettlement, which is the priority of the Turkish Cypriot leadership and guarantor Turkey between 1963-1974 and 1974-1983, in terms of socio-economic and political dimensions, was transposed until the declaration of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in 1983 investigates the factors affecting the spatial transformation of the capital Nicosia and northern Cyprus through the archival work and the architects of the period planning studies. In this context, the article assesses the effect of changing priorities, economic determinants, and the function in the ideological representation of political power in the process of political and spatial transformation between 1963 and 1983 in Cyprus through an interdisciplinary approach to urban and architectural change and continuity in Nicosia. Öz Yönetim yapısındaki ve politik kültürdeki değişimlerin mimari tasarım ve inşaat uygulamalarına etkisi tarih boyunca Lüzinyan, Venedik, Osmanlı ve İngiliz yönetimlerinde siyasi güç temsilinin merkezi olan Lefkoşa’nın kentsel planlamasında ve mimarisinde belirgin olarak göze çarpmaktadır. Bu makale Kıbrıs Cumhuriyeti’nin (1960-1963) fiili olarak işlevsiz hale geldiği ve adanın başkenti Lefkoşa’nın 1963’te Yeşil Hat oluşturularak kuzey ve güney olarak bölünmesinden Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti’nin ilanına kadar olan tarihsel dönemde Kuzey Lefkoşa’da siyasi gücü temsil eden mimari ve şehirleşme politikalarının planlama, tasarım ve uygulama süreçlerini incelemektedir. Kıbrıs Türk liderliği ve garantör Türkiye’nin 1963-1974 ve 1974-1983 dönemlerindeki önceliği olan göçmenlerin yeniden yerleşimi doğrultusunda yürüttükleri iskan politikalarının sonucundaki mekânsal dönüşümü sosyo-ekonomik ve siyasi boyutlarıyla değerlendiren makale, 1983’te Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti’nin ilanına kadarki geçiş döneminde başkent Lefkoşa’nın ve Kuzey Kıbrıs’ın mekânsal dönüşümüne etki eden etmenleri arşiv çalışması ve dönemin planlama çalışmalarını yürüten mimarlarının anlattıkları üzerinden irdelemektedir. Bu bağlamda makale, Kıbrıs’ta 1963-1983 yılları arasında yaşanan siyasi ve mekânsal dönüşüm sürecinde siyasi gücün ideolojik temsilinde değişen önceliklerin, ekonomik belirleyenlerin ve işlevselliğin Lefkoşa’daki kentsel ve mimari değişim ve sürekliliklere etkisini disiplinlerarası bir yaklaşımla değerlendirmektedir.

The urban cities in Nigeria are experiencing a deformation causing an urban decay with poor housing construction, improper use of unplanned land hindering urban spatial development. In this paper examination of slum prevalence in Nigeria and aims to propose development scheme to improve informal settlement of the urban cities focusing on governmental intervention and development policies in all level of governmental authorities to upgrade the living conditions and obtain value for the urban low class. Harvesting the potential of the work force of this regions for urban development, aims to provide highlight to the use of infrastructural development particularly road network to aid connectivity and urban design. A review of informal settlement mainly on the absence of infrastructure and degraded environmental conditions in an unplanned settlement in the city of Kaduna popularly known as Railway Down Quarter, proposes a possible strategy and approach for a sustainable upgrading policy. This research develops a conceptual approach of the necessity of mainly road infrastructure a medium that introduces services and a sustainable development in informal settlements in Kaduna, Nigeria by government intervention. The capital city of Cyprus, Nicosia, has been the seat of government and administrative authority throughout the island's history. The Lusignan reign in the twelfth century (1192–1489) was followed by Venetian (1489–1571), Ottoman (1571–1878) and British (1878–1960) rule until the establishment of the independent state of Cyprus (1960–1963). Today, Nicosia is the last divided capital city in Europe, serving the Turkish Cypriots in the north and the Greek Cypriots in the south of the island. The palaces, monuments and governmental centres illustrate how territorial belonging and power were defined and reflected in the buildings of the city itself. The way in which the power of individuals, communities and nations is organized can be traced through the organization of space and the architectural forms of administrative buildings.
