PurposeETL format is a newly proposed CAD format, which is both simple enough that CAD models in this format can be easily sliced, and capable of describing solids with arbitrarily complex surface details. This paper aims to provide a method for slicing CAD models in ETL format.Design/methodology/approachThe proposed slicing method is based on a method for slicing CAD models in colour STL format. Affine mapping method is used to calculate the colour of the intersection polygon of a voxel in the slicing result volume dataset, and a triangular facet that constitutes the geometry of the described object, when the facet has texture mapping definition.FindingsThe proposed slicing method is simple and robust. Implementations have demonstrated its feasibility.Originality/valueThe proposed slicing method is meaningful to preparing data for the rapid formation of models with complex surface details, including colour and textures.

≪Auto-control theory≫ characterizes more teaching hours, involving much basic theories, heavy and complex concepts, high experiment requirement, rapid development and being full of difficulties. An education innovation has been proposed, including special academic report, the application of modern education means, the experiment innovation, the application of bilingual education and the examination innovation. The innovation promotes the learning enthusiasm of students, increases the efficiency of the education and strengthens capability analyzing, solving problems and bilingual application of the students. Practice has demonstrated that the innovation is applicable.

A new experimental education scheme for technical courses has been proposed, including education of experiment principles, Web-based presentation of experiment resources, preparation of experiments and its examination, virtual experiments and their examination, administration of open real experiments, real experiments and their examination, and creative experiments. The proposed scheme concentrates several advanced techniques of the information age, by making full use of their advantages and bypassing their disadvantages. By applying the scheme, the experiments in technical courses can be carried out with high efficiency, high quality, good safety and individualization. Practice has demonstrated that the scheme is applicable. Considering its a synchronism, the scheme is especially applicable to distance education, lifelong education, self-study and individualized education.

Inspiring by biological immune principles, many immune detection algorithms in the area of Artificial Immune System are introduced. In this paper, such problems as immune memory, immune match and niching strategy in the algorithms are discussed. The idea of scheme match and Complement Operator are proposed. The experiments that are in the area of virus detection and intrusion detection are made. Shown by experiments, the algorithm joined scheme match and Complement operator improves the problem of hole and keeps variety of antibodies. And its detecting efficiency is increased obviously.

Based on research for anomaly detection in the biological immune principles, a change detection algorithm is provided. It synchronizes the idea of negative selection in biology, is applied for the method of scheme match and joins vaccines operator to help detection in this algorithm. And a niching strategy is adopted. This paper discussed the problem of fuzzy match and vaccine operator by comparing the two immune detection algorithms. Shown by experiments, the algorithm improves the problem of hole and keeps variety of antibodies. And its detecting efficiency is increased obviously.
