Die Bedeutung der Allgemeinmedizin wurde in Deutschland in den letzten Jahren gestärkt. Trotz dieser Bemühungen bleiben das Medizinstudium und die klinische Weiterbildung von der spezialisierten Versorgung in Krankenhäusern dominiert. In Studien konnte gezeigt werden, dass viele deutsche Allgemeinmediziner komplementärmedizinische Verfahren anwenden. In der vorliegenden Studie wurde die Rolle komplementärmedizinischer Verfahren beim Übergang von der Klinik in die hausärztliche Praxis bei jungen Allgemeinärzten untersucht. Although the role of general practice has been strengthened in recent years, undergraduate teaching at medical schools and the clinical phase of specialist training remain dominated by specialized care in hospitals. In surveys was shown that general practitioners often use complementary treatments. In the present survey, the role of complementary treatments as part of the transition from clinical education to the work as a general practitioner, was examined.

Der Beitrag beschreibt die Rahmenbedingungen sowie die Grundsätze der Betreuung und der Beurteilung von Bachelor- und Masterarbeiten an der Pädagogischen Hochschule Luzern. Abschließend werden einige Überlegungen zur Weiterentwicklung der bestehenden Konzepte, insbesondere zur stärkeren Verbindung von Forschung und Lehre im Kontext der Abschlussarbeiten, präsentiert.

Globally, small islands face increased hardships in achieving environmental sustainability, due to unsustainable waste management practices and electricity provision heavily reliant on fossil fuels. This problem is exacerbated by tourism, which drives demand for energy and increases waste quantities. Renewable energy technology can be adapted to different locations and can be a valuable addition to not only diversify energy portfolios, but also provide partial solutions in waste management. To research the potential application of renewable energy technology on small islands, a case study was performed for the Cambodian island of Koh Rong. Organic waste is diverted from the typical waste management scheme of open burning to a biogas plant, where biogas is produced for usage in a hybrid PV-electricity net.Extensive literature research was performed to explore the dynamics between tourism, economic growth, environmental pollution and sustainability. The case study also relied on literature research for its technology analysis to inspect available options to manage organic waste streams. For the logistical evaluation of the project a research trip to Koh Rong was vital, where personal interviews with resort managers, the tourist association as well as the local authority were performed. A positive correlation between tourism and environmental pollution was confirmed. The main factors leading to increased pollution on small islands and their relations to diseconomies of scale, lack of awareness and financial restraints were discussed. Further, the economical, ecological and logistical feasibility of a biogas plant on Koh Rong was shown, thereby providing a synergistic solution to improve sustainability on the island with positive effects for locals, the environment and investors. While it is of utmost importance to note that due to very diverse local circumstances, sustainability solutions need to be tailored to each island individually, it can be argued that synergistic approaches can provide environmentally and financially more profitable outcomes. Especially the waste-energy nexus adoption of a biogas plant in the case of Koh Rong proves that creating a synergistic solution, where waste can be diverted from unsustainable practices and instead be harnessed to provide renewable energy on the island, leads to favorable results.

The MiSeq FGx™ Forensic Genomics System types 231 genetic markers in one multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay. The markers include core forensic short tandem repeats (STRs) as well as identity, ancestry and phenotype informative short nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). In this work, the MiSeq FGx™ Forensic Genomics System was evaluated by analysing reproducibility, sensitivity, mixture identification and forensic phenotyping capabilities of the assay. Furthermore, the genotype calling of the ForenSeq™ Universal Analysis Software was verified by analysing fastq.gz files from the MiSeq FGx™ platform using the softwares STRinNGS and GATK. Overall, the performance of the MiSeq FGx™ Forensic Genomics System was high. However, locus and allele drop-outs were relatively frequent at six loci (two STRs and four human identification SNPs) due to low read depth or skewed heterozygote balances, and the stutter ratios were larger than those observed with conventional STR genotyping methods. The risk of locus and allele drop-outs increased dramatically when the amount of DNA in the first PCR was lower than 250 pg. Two-person 50:1 mixtures were identified as mixtures, whereas 100:1 and 1000:1 mixtures were not. Y-chromosomal short tandem repeats (Y-STRs) alleles were detected in the 100:1 and 1000:1 female/male mixtures. The ForenSeq™ Universal Analysis Software provided the data analyst with useful alerts that simplified the analysis of the large number of markers. Many of the alerts were due to user-defined, locus-specific criteria. The results shown here indicated that the default settings should be altered for some loci. Also, recommended changes to the assay and software are discussed.

Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der psycho-sozialen Situation von Helfenden im Kontext von gemeinsamem Leben und Wohnen mit Geflüchteten und nimmt dabei auch den Aspekt der sozialen Unterstützung in den Fokus. Der UNHCR zählte im Jahr 2016 65,5 Millionen Flüchtlinge weltweit (vgl. UNHCR 2017). Durch die Flüchtlingsbewegung im Jahr 2015 sind tausende Menschen auf der Flucht nach Österreich gekommen. Steigende Asylzahlen führten zu strukturellen Engpässen bei der Versorgung und Unterbringung von Asylwerber_innen. Diese Entwicklung mobilisierte viele Privatpersonen, sich freiwillig in der Flüchtlingshilfe zu engagieren. Da die ausgewählte Zielgruppe bis dato in der Fachliteratur keine Erwähnung findet und in der gängigen Definition zu Freiwilligenarbeit nicht erfasst wird, soll diese Forschungsarbeit einen Beitrag zur Exploration dieses Feldes aus Sicht der Klinischen Sozialen Arbeit leisten. Anhand qualitativer Interviews, welche mittels Themenanalyse nach Ulrike Froschauer und Manfred Lueger ausgewertet wurden, wurden Motive der Helfenden, Charakteristika des Zusammenlebens, mögliche Belastungen und Herausforderungen, Copingstrategien und Ressourcen der Freiwilligen, Erfahrungen mit institutionellen Angeboten und Formen der sozialen Unterstützung erhoben. Die gewonnenen Ergebnisse sollen Einblick in den Alltag mit Geflüchteten bieten. Als zentrale Erkenntnis aus den Interviews kann die hohe Bedeutung sozialer Unterstüt-zung angeführt werden. Die Motive der Freiwilligen, Unterstützung anzubieten, sind indi-viduell verschieden, werden von strukturellen Begebenheiten beeinflusst und lassen sich sowohl auf altruistische, als auch auf egoistische Aspekte zurückführen. Eine bedeutende Erkenntnis aus den Interviews ist, dass die Aufnahme eines geflüchteten Menschen in das private Umfeld tiefgreifende Veränderungen bedeuten kann. Teilweise ergeben sich intensive Beziehungen zu den geflüchteten Menschen. Im Rahmen des Zusammenlebens können Herausforderungen und Belastungen für die Helfenden auftreten. Persönliche Copingstrategien und verfügbare Ressourcen wirken sich auf den Umgang mit Belastun-gen aus. Aus den gewonnenen Ergebnissen ergeben sich konkrete Handlungsmöglichkeiten für die Klinische Soziale Arbeit. Demnach wünschen sich Freiwillige mehr Hilfestellungen durch Institutionen. Diese sollen primär informative Unterstützung abdecken. Darüber hinaus scheinen Netzwerkinterventionen bei Bedarf angebracht. Da Wissen zu Traumatisierungen auf Seiten der Helfenden eher fehlen, kann die Klinische Soziale Arbeit an dieser Stelle beispielweise Aufklärungsarbeit leisten. This dissertation addresses the psycho-social situation of helpers in the context of living together with refugees and living a common life and it is also focusing on the aspect of social support. The UNHCR counted 65.5 million refugees worldwide in 2016 (cf. UNHCR 2017). The refugee movement in 2015 brought thousands of refugees to Austria. Rising asylum numbers led to structural bottlenecks in the care and accommodation of asylum seekers. This development mobilized many individuals to volunteer for refugee aid. Since the selected target group has not been mentioned in specialist literature until now and is not included in the current definition of volunteer work, this thesis should contribute to the exploration of this field from the point of view of Clinical Social Work. On the basis of qualitative interviews, which were analyzed by means of the topic analysis according to Ulrike Froschauer and Manfred Lueger, motives of helpers, characteristics of living together, possible burdens and challenges, coping strategies and resources of the volunteers as well as experiences with institutional offers and forms of social support were surveyed. The results obtained are intended to provide insight into everyday life with refugees. The high importance of social support can be seen as the central finding from the inter-views. Volunteers' motives for providing support differ individually, are influenced by structural matters and can be traced back to both altruistic and egotistical aspects. Another important finding from the interviews suggests that the admission of a refugee into the private surroundings can result in profound changes. Partly, strong relationships with the refugees can develop. As part of living together, challenges and burdens for the helpers may occur. Personal coping strategies and available resources affect the handling of burdens. The results obtained produce concrete opportunities for action in Clinical Social Work. Thus, volunteers wish for more support from institutions. These should primarily cover informative support. In addition, network interventions seem appropriate when needed. Die vorliegende Arbeit soll der Frage auf den Grund zu gehen, wie sich die dystopischen Züge der Future Fiction im Hinblick auf das adoleszente Individuum zeigen, genauer gesagt, im Hinblick auf adoleszente künstliche Menschen. Im Fokus steht dabei das Verhältnis von Körper, Macht und Indentität, wobei als Ausgangspunkt die Theorie dient, dass sich die dystopischen Züge der Future Fiction, bei künstlichen Menschen, in Beziehung zu ihren künstlich hergestellten Körpern äußern. Die Arbeit folgt dabei folgendem Aufbau: Im theoretischen Teil dieser Arbeit, werden zunächst einige Begriffe wie Science Fiction, Future Fiction, Dystopie, künstlicher Mensch, Adoleszenz und Macht geklärt, wobei für letzteres die theoretischen Auseinandersetzungen von Michel Foucault, aber auch jene von Judith Butler herangezogen werden. Im praktischen Teil dieser Arbeit, werden darauf folgend drei Texte zur Analyse herangezogen, welche nach Kriterien gewählt wurden, welche einen Vergleich erlauben. Erstens, die Texte sind der Jugendliteratur zugeordnet und lassen sich ebenfalls als Adoleszenzroman klassifizieren. Zweitens, die Handlung ist in der Zukunft angesiedelt und kreist um eine weibliche, adoleszente Protagonistin. Drittens, die Protagonistin ist als künstlicher Mensch einzuordnen. Wie die Analyse belegt, zeigen sich die dystopischen Züge der Future Fiction beim adoleszenten künstlichen Menschen in Beziehung zu seinem künstlichen Körper. Die Schöpfung zu einem gewissen Zweck bringt für die Protagonistinnen ein Leben in einem Machtgefälle, teilweise sogar unter gewissen Zwängen, mit sich. Obwohl die künstlichen Körper den Ausgangspunkt der personellen Dystopie bilden, findet jedoch auch die Auflehnung gegen die ihnen auferlegten Zwänge, über die Körper der Protagonistinnen statt. Schlussendlich glücken die Auflehnung gegen ihre Schöpfer und der damit verbundene Identitätsfindungsprozess, bei allen dreien Protagonistinnen zumindest teilweise.

This study examines a wide range of strategies used in fiction to trigger a specific feeling or mood in the reader, i.e. anxiety regarding the social constructs they live in, and their specific positions within these constructs. For this purpose, the focus is on popular fiction - "those books that everyone reads" (Glover and McCracken 2012:1). In addition, internet-based forms of popular fiction have been included in order to appropriately represent the scope of the field of popular reading material in the 21st century. This encompasses web-based contemporary legends, which share a number of characteristics - above all, conventional genres or themes - with what has traditionally been referred to as popular fiction. All these texts are treated as fiction, and analysed in regard to their designs of leaving recipients in a state of societal unease. On a broad basis consisting of not only literary theory but also philosophical history, folklore theory and socio-political concepts, a basic recipe is formulated and consequently substantiated in analyses of a range of texts from the core genres of popular fiction.
