Using observational data obtained with the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope, we succeeded in identifying subcomponents of different pulse profile components of PSR B1822−09 by the phase-to-phase cross correlations between intensity sequences of single pulses. The determined number of the subcomponents and edges of the subcomponents are consistent with the results of Gaussian fitting on the mean pulse profiles of PSR B1822−09. According to the results, the main pulse (MP) in both the radio burst mode (B mode) and the radio-quiet mode (Q mode), the precursor (PC), and the interpulse (IP) of PSR B1822−09 are all composed of three subcomponents. The correlation coefficients between intensity sequences at different pulse phases reveal a positive correlation between the subcomponent C8 of the MP and C3 of the IP in the Q mode, and a positive correlation between C5 of the PC and C2 of the IP during the switching process from the B mode to the Q mode. These complex correlations present a challenge for the existing scenarios that describe relations between different pulse profile components. We proposed a hypothesis that different subcomponents correspond to different subpatches on the pulsar surface, and emissions from a subpatch reveal responses of the subpatch to some variations like the voltage in the magnetosphere. ABSTRACT Objective: Recently, several studies have found that obesity had a protective effect against varicocele, but no meta-analysis has confirmed this finding. Therefore, we conducted this meta-analysis to investigate the association between body mass index (BMI) and varicocele. Material and Methods: We searched for studies in PubMed, Science Direct and the Cochrane Library from inception until February 2018. The association between BMI and varicocele was assessed by pooling the odds ratios (ORs). Results: Eleven eligible studies with a total study population of 1.376.658 participants were included in our analysis. According to BMI, the subjects were defined as belonging to the obese, overweight and underweight groups. Our results showed that the obese group had a lower risk of varicocele when compared with the normal weight group (odds ratio [OR] 0.46, 95% confidence intervals [CIs] 0.37-0.58). Additionally, an overweight BMI had a protective effect against varicocele (OR 0.70, 95% CIs, 0.56-0.86). However, underweight patients had a more than 30% higher risk of varicocele (OR 1.31, 95% CI, 1.04-1.64). Furthermore, there was no publication bias in any of the analyses. Conclusions: Our study demonstrates that BMI is negatively associated with the presence of varicocele.

Shanyou You No. 1, a new peanut variety with super high yield was bred by EMS (ethylmethane sulfonate) mutagenesis with the dried seeds of Shanyou 212 as the materials by Shantou Institute of Agricultural Science. It passed the national peanut variety identification and Guangdong crop variety approval in 2014, with the identification number of Guopingjian Peanut 2014014 and the approval number of Yueshenyou 2014001. It obtained the new plant variety right in 2017, with the variety right number of CNA20140907.4. In 2018, it passed the national non-major crop variety registration with the registration number of GPD Peanut (2018) 440280. The yield of this variety was outstanding. In the national (southern district) regional test of peanut varieties and the regional test of the new peanut varieties being planted in spring in Guangdong Province, the dry pod yields was 4 590.08 kg/hm² and 4 112.85kg/hm², respectively, which were 11.20% and 15.25% higher than that of the control Shanyou 523. It had the oil content of 49.31%-53.45% and protein content of 21.40%-26.58%. It was highly resistant to the rust and leaf spot diseases, and susceptible to bacterial wilt, with strong lodging resistance, drought resistance, and waterlogging resistance. The variety is suitable to be planted in spring and autumn in the water-drought rotation plough land and dry sloping fields in Guangdong, as well as in spring in the peanut production areas in western Guangxi, Fujian, Yunnan, southern Jiangxi, and southern Hunan. During the cultivation, the attention should be paid to the selection of soil property, timely sowing, reasonable close planting, strengthening the fertilizer and water management, and timely prevent and control of weeds, diseases, insect pests and rodent harm. We did 194 epochs of simultaneous 2.25/8.60 GHz observations of XTE J1810−197 in 926 days shortly following its reactivation in 2018 with Shanghai Tian Ma Radio Telescope (TMRT). Although its integrated profiles changed with both time and frequency during this period, they could be classified into 12 types according to phase areas of active radiation components. After MJD 59015, XTE J1810−197 turned from the normal emission state into the spiky emission state that was manifesting as a series of bright narrow sub-pulse bursts at both 2.25 and 8.60 GHz. Due to its variable integrated profiles and unsteady rotations, we got the spin frequency ν and spin-frequency derivatives ν ̇ with the piecewise fitting method. In addition, its long-term declining trend of ν was also obtained as ν ̇ = − 3.2 (1) × 10 − 13 s−2 with the linear fitting method based on our observations spanning a comparatively longer period. We found its flux densities went through three stages: sharp decrease, stabilization, and day-to-day fluctuations in our dual-frequency observations. Although the flux density showed different stages, XTE J1810−197 showed a relatively flat spectrum (α > –1) in most observations. Assuming an ideal dipole magnetic field as some previous research works, we obtained the emission heights of XTE J1810−197 were about 7.5(9) × 104 km and 2.38(7) × 104 km at 2.25 and 8.60 GHz, respectively. Sillago sihama is a tropical fish from India to the western Pacific. It is widely distributed in the coastal waters of southern China and is one of the most important economic fish species. The factor inhibiting hypoxia inducible factor-1 (fih-1) is a key factor in the hypoxia signal pathway. It plays an important role in the hypoxia adaptation in fishes. The fih-1 gene of S. sihama was cloned, and its cDNA sequence was 1280 bp, including an open reading frame of 1065 bp, encoding 353 amino. The structure prediction found that there was a JmjC conserved domain. Multi-sequence alignment and cluster analysis based on fih-1 amino acid sequences showed that the S. sihama was closely related to Larimichthys crocea and Lates calcarifer, bur farther to mammals, amphibians, and birds. The fih-1 was strongly expressed in the testis, ovary, and muscle, followed by the gill, heart and liver, but weakly expressed in the brain. The expression of fih-1 gene in gill and heart increased significantly after 1-hour hypoxia stress, and it continued to increase significantly after 6 hours. After 4 hours of normal dissolved oxygen, the expression decreased significantly but it was still higher than the normal level (P<0.05). This study revealed that fih-1 gene plays an important role in the hypoxic signal conduction pathway and provides candidate genes for carrying out and explaining the genetic mechanism of S. sihama.
