4. Temporal Analysis of Transaction Ego Networks with Different Labels on Ethereum

Abstract

Due to the widespread use of smart contracts, Ethereum has become the second-largest blockchain platform after Bitcoin. Many different types of Ethereum accounts (ICO, Mining, Gambling, etc.) also have quite active trading activities on Ethereum. Studying the transaction records of these specific Ethereum accounts is very important for understanding their particular transaction characteristics, and further labeling the pseudonymous accounts. However, traditional methods are generally based on static and global transaction networks to conduct research, ignoring useful information about dynamic changes. Our work chooses six kinds of important account labels, and builds ego networks for each kind of Ethereum account. We focus on the interaction between the target node and neighbor nodes with temporal analysis. Experiments show that there is a significant difference between various types of accounts in terms of several network features, helping us better understand their transaction patterns. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first work to analyze the dynamic characteristics of Ethereum labeled accounts from the perspective of transaction ego networks.

An in-depth annotation of the newly discovered coronavirus (2019-nCoV) genome has revealed differences between 2019-nCoV and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) or SARS-like coronaviruses. A systematic comparison identified 380 amino acid substitutions between these coronaviruses, which may have caused functional and pathogenic divergence of 2019-nCoV.

27. Collaborative Scheduling for Single-Arm Cluster Tools With an Equipment Front-End Module Subject to Chamber Cleaning Requirements

Abstract

In semiconductor manufacturing, cluster tools tend to integrate a vacuum module (VM), a loadlock module (LLM), and an equipment front-end module (EFEM). While scheduling techniques exist for cluster tools without EFEM, the collaboration among these modules introduces additional challenges for tools with EFEM. In such tools, LLM acting as a shared module plays a crucial role in operating a cluster tool. Moreover, modern fabs have adopted the practice of chamber cleaning after processing each wafer to eliminate chemical residue that may remain within chambers. This article addresses a cyclic scheduling problem of a single-arm cluster tool with EFEM, while considering chamber cleaning requirements. We propose a conflict-free loadlock (LL) state transformation sequence of One-in and One-out LLs to describe the transformations resulted from LL operations. We then present cooperative strategies for robots to access LLM during the state transformation. Based on these strategies, we derive closed-form algorithms to find feasible and optimal schedules in terms of tool cycle time, allowing for an analysis of the best-performing strategy combinations. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is illustrated by experimental results.

Abstract

A global outbreak of monkeypox (mpox) caused by the mpox virus (MPXV) has posed a serious threat to public health worldwide, thus calling for the urgent development of antivirals and vaccines to curb its further spread. In this study, we screened 41 anhydride‐modified proteins and found that 3‐hydroxyphthalic anhydride‐modified β‐lactoglobulin (3HP‐β‐LG), a clinically used anti‐HPV agent, was highly effective in inhibiting infection of vaccinia virus Tiantan strain (VACV‐VTT) and MPXV. Mechanistic studies demonstrated that 3HP‐β‐LG bound to the virus, not the host cell, by targeting the early stage of virus entry, possibly through the interaction between the amino acids with negatively charges in 3HP‐β‐LG and the key amino acids with positive charges in the target region of A29L, a key surface protein of MPXV. A synergistic effect was observed when 3HP‐β‐LG was combined with tecovirimat, a small‐molecule antiviral drug approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration and the European Medicine Agency for the treatment of smallpox and mpox. Because of its clinically proven safety and stability, 3HP‐β‐LG shows promise for further development as a prophylactic agent to prevent the sexual transmission of MPXV. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is the cause of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), which has become a public health emergency of international concern.sup.1. Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) is the cell-entry receptor for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV).sup.2. Here we infected transgenic mice that express human ACE2 (hereafter, hACE2 mice) with SARS-CoV-2 and studied the pathogenicity of the virus. We observed weight loss as well as virus replication in the lungs of hACE2 mice infected with SARS-CoV-2. The typical histopathology was interstitial pneumonia with infiltration of considerable numbers of macrophages and lymphocytes into the alveolar interstitium, and the accumulation of macrophages in alveolar cavities. We observed viral antigens in bronchial epithelial cells, macrophages and alveolar epithelia. These phenomena were not found in wild-type mice infected with SARS-CoV-2. Notably, we have confirmed the pathogenicity of SARS-CoV-2 in hACE2 mice. This mouse model of SARS-CoV-2 infection will be valuable for evaluating antiviral therapeutic agents and vaccines, as well as understanding the pathogenesis of COVID-19. Abstract

Background: Prior prelabor cesarean delivery (CD) was associated with an increase in the risk of placenta previa (PP) in a second delivery, whether it may impact postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) independent of abnormal placentation. This study aimed to assess the risk of PPH stratified by abnormal placentation following a first CD before the onset of labor (prelabor) or intrapartum CD.Methods: This multicenter, historical cohort study involved singleton, pregnant women at 28 weeks of gestation or greater with a CD history between January 2017 and December 2017 in 11 public tertiary hospitals within 7 provinces of China. PPH was analyzed in the subsequent pregnancy between women with prior prelabor CD and women with intrapartum CD. Furthermore, PPH was analyzed in pregnant women stratified by complications with PP alone [without placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) disorders], complications with PP and PAS, complications with PAS alone (without PP), and normal placentation. We performed multivariate logistic regression to calculate adjusted odds ratios (aOR) and 95% CI controlling for predefined covariates.Results: Out of 10,833 pregnant women, 1,197 (11%) women had a history of intrapartum CD and 9,636 (89%) women had a history of prelabor CD. Prior prelabor CD increased the risk of PP (aOR 1.91, 95% CI 1.40–2.60), PAS (aOR 1.68, 95% CI 1.11–2.24), and PPH (aOR 1.33, 95% CI 1.02–1.75) in a subsequent pregnancy. After stratification by complications with PP alone, PP and PAS, PAS alone, and normal placentation, prior prelabor CD only increased the risk of PPH (aOR 3.34, 95% CI 1.35–8.23) in a subsequent pregnancy complicated with PP and PAS.Conclusion: Compared to intrapartum CD, prior prelabor CD increased the risk of PPH in a subsequent pregnancy only when complicated by PP and PAS.

Abstract

This paper focuses on the role of the Internet in empowering social work to intervene in ageing-in-place services for the disabled elderly in terms of time, space, and resources. Through the practical analysis of home care service providers, the advantages and characteristics of the “Internet” for ageing-in-place services for the disabled elderly are identified, as well as some of the problems that exist in the current intelligent home care service platform. This paper proposes to improve and optimize the “Internet+” by fully enhancing the technical empowerment of the Internet, improving the integration and spanning of space, and giving full play to the role of social work on the Internet. This paper proposes to improve and optimize the “Internet+” elderly home care services for the disabled, so as to solve to a certain extent the practical problems faced by the “Internet+” elderly home care services in the early stage of development. The significance of this paper is that, through the study of the “Internet+” home care services for the elderly with disabilities, the process of the services is sorted out and summarized, and suggestions and measures are put forward for its shortcomings, providing practical methods and feasible paths for future generations, which are of great significance for other social work agencies using Internet tools.
