4. Lithiophilic Quinone Lithium Salt Formed by Tetrafluoro-1,4-Benzoquinone Guides Uniform Lithium Deposition to Stabilize the Interface of Anode and PVDF-Based Solid Electrolytes.

Abstract

Poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF)-based composite solid electrolytes (CSEs) are attracting widespread attention due to their superior electrochemical and mechanical properties. However, the PVDF has a strong polar group -CF2-, which easily continuously reacts with lithium metal, resulting in the instability of the solid electrolyte interface (SEI), which intensifies the formation of lithium dendrites. Herein, Tetrafluoro-1,4-benzoquinone (TFBQ) was selected as an additive in trace amounts to the PVDF/Li-based electrolytes. TFBQ uniformly formed lithophilic quinone lithium salt (Li2TFBQ) in the SEI. Li2TFBQ has high lithium-ion affinity and low potential barrier and can be used as the dominant agent to guide uniform lithium deposition. The results showed that PVDF/Li-TFBQ 0.05 with a mass ratio of PVDF to TFBQ of 1:0.05 had the highest ionic conductivity of 2.39 × 10−4 S cm−1, and the electrochemical stability window reached 5.0 V. Moreover, PVDF/Li-TFBQ CSE demonstrated superior lithium dendrite suppression, which was confirmed by long-term lithium stripping/sedimentation tests over 2000 and 650 h at a current of 0.1 and 0.2 mA cm−2, respectively. The assembled solid-state LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2||Li cell showed an excellent performance rate and cycle stability at 30 °C. 11. A facile synthesis of molecularly imprinted polymers and their properties as electrochemical sensors for ethyl carbamate analysis

Abstract

New molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs), which exhibit specific recognition of ethyl carbamate (EC) have been synthesized and studied. In this process, EC was the template molecule and -cyclodextrin derivatives were employed as functional monomers in the molecular imprinting technique (MIT). An EC molecularly imprinted sensor (EC-MIS) was prepared by using MIT surface modification. The EC-MIS was characterized by cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and differential pulse voltammetry. EC detection performance, binding parameters and dynamics mechanism were investigated. The result showed that the synthetic route designed was appropriate and that new MIP and EC-MIS were successfully prepared. The EC-MIS exhibited a good molecular recognition of EC. A linear relationship between current and EC concentration was observed using cyclic voltammetry and the detection limit was 5.86 g L-1. The binding constant (K = 4.75 x 10(6) L mol(-1)) between EC and the EC-MIS, as well as, the number of binding sites (n = 1.48) has been determined. The EC-MIS recognition mechanism for the EC is a two-step process. The sensor was applied for the determination of EC in Chinese yellow wines, and the results were in good agreement with the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method.

Abstract

A systematic study was performed on the susceptor with Rim structure. Rim structure at high temperature was simulated in the MOCVD reactor with the chipped Infrared heating system. Using the finite element method, the Rim structure groove height, depth and radius of the 8 inch substrate slot where the most symmetrical temperature distribution was obtained. Compared with the common graphite susceptor, the temperature distribution of the substrate was improved on the susceptor with Rim structure. By thermal analysis and contrast of Rim structures of the substrates with different radius substrates, the principle of Rim structure changing thermal uniformity was revealed. The results show that: the optimized 8 inch Rim structure of the substrates has a radius of 0.945 rS, a depth of 0.02rS, a height of hs; Rim structure has a good thermal stability in different heating power; the temperature uniformity of Rim structure is larger than that of common structure.

14. Failure analysis of TaN thin film resistors for microwave circuits

Abstract

The failure manifestations of TaN thin film resistors for microwave circuits are that resistances become larger or even breaker failures occur. In order to investigate the failure mechanism of TaN thin film resistors, the resistance changing analysis under varied voltages and morphologies are studied by the home-made testing system and metallographic microscope in the working process. The results showed that thermal gradient fields were both formed from midst to the two ends and from surface to downward of TaN thin film resistors. The thermal gradient fields resulted in the oxidation of TaN thin films and then the increasing of resistances. When the TaN films in the middle positions on the vertical direction of current had almost changed into Ta2O5 films, the failures of TaN thin film resistors finally occurred. The improvement measures are also given in this paper. It can be concluded that thermal gradient field oxidation is the main failure cause of TaN thin film resistors on work.

Abstract

In this study, photoconductive detector of nanowire-based devices have been fabricated by aligning ZnO nanowires across paired Au electrodes using dielectrophoresis. The Ag nanoparticle (NP) decoration as an effective way to enhance the maximum responsivity, and cut down the response time of the traditional region ZnO PD. The enhancement is caused by the enhanced space charge effect due to the existence of the localized Schottky junctions under opencircuit conditions at the NW surfaces, leading to a more pronounced electron-hole separation effect.
