31. Effective adsorption of AuCl4− by functionalized D301 resin: kinetics, isotherms and selectivity.

Abstract

Two novel adsorbents (AGD301 and ArgD301) were successfully prepared through ring-opening reaction. The adsorption performance and recognition selectivity of AGD301 and ArgD301 towards AuCl4− were studied by batch adsorption experiments. The results showed that adsorption time, pH, temperature and solution concentration had a significant influence on the adsorption performance. At 298 K and pH of 2, the equilibrium adsorption capacity of AGD301 and ArgD301 towards AuCl4− could reach 400.75 and 451.67 mg·g−1, respectively. In addition, AGD301 and ArgD301 possessed excellent selectivity and good reusability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

44. Preparation of activated carbon based on hair and its selectively removing ability for Fe(III) from La(III)

Abstract

It is of great significance to effectively remove impurity such as Fe from rare earth elements because the trace of Fe(III) have serious damage to the performance of rare earth materials. In this study, a hair-based activated carbon (ACH*) was synthesized and characterized by surface area analyzer, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The identification and removal of the performance of ACH600 for Fe(III) in the La(III) solution was studied. The adsorption capacity of ACH600 for Fe(III) was 15.54 mg/g and the removal rate reached up to 98.6% by virtue of abundant nitrogen-containing functional group. The selectivity coefficient of ACH600 for Fe(III) was 8.3 relative to La(III). In addition, the ACH600 also has good regeneration and reusability.

Abstract

Four Preyssler P5W30based inorganic–organic hybrids, formulated as {[Cu12(pbtz)2(Hpbtz)2(OH)4(H2O)16][Na(H2O)P5W30O110]}·16H2O (1; H2pbtz = 5′-(pyridin-2-yl)-1H,2′H-3,3′-bi(1,2,4-triazole)), {[Cu10(ttbz)2(Httbz)4(OH)6(H2O)8][K(H2O)H2P5W30O110]}·30H2O (2; Httbz = 1-(tetrazo-5-yl)-4-(triazo-1-yl)benzene), {[Ni6(bpz)6(H2O)16][Na(H2O)H2P5W30O110]}·36H2O (3; bpz = 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethyl-4,4-bipyrazole), {[Co4(bpz)6(H2O)9][K(H2O)H6P5W30O110]}·46H2O (4), have been isolated and structurally identified via microanalysis, thermogravimetry (TG), infrared (IR) spectroscopy, and X-ray single-crystal diffraction. Compound 1exhibits a 3D binodal (3,6)-connected antframework composed of dodeca-supported P5W30polyoxometalate (POM) clusters and discrete [Cu6(pbtz)(Hpbtz)(OH)2(H2O)8] subunits. Compound 2is a pillared-layer 3D network constructed from [Cu5(ttbz)(Httbz)2(OH)3(H2O)4] sheets pillared by individual P5W30clusters. Compound 3contains octa-supporting P5W30POM clusters and novel [Ni6(bpz)6] crown-like metallamacrocycles, which construct a (4,4)-connected ptsnetwork. Compound 4displays a complicated 3D (5,5)-connected {45·64·8}{45·65} network built by pentasupporting P5W30POM clusters and discrete [Co4(bpz)6(H2O)9] subunits. In 1–4, the unified features are the Preyssler-type [P5W30O110] POM as the fundamental building block, which supports the transition-metal compounds with different modes to give the resultant diverse networks. The magnetism studies indicated antiferromagnetically coupled systems for the hexa- and pentanuclear Cu(II) units in 1and 2, respectively. The electrochemical properties demonstrate that all compounds have electrocatalytic abilities toward the reduction of hydrogen peroxide. Furthermore, the catalytic activities of 1in the cyanosilylation of aldehydes reaction have been investigated.

Abstract

In this article, a new surface imprinted polymer D301‐g‐IIPDMC is successfully prepared using AuCl4− as a template. The adsorption and recognition performances of D301‐g‐IIPDMC for AuCl4− are studied by using a static method and competitive adsorption experiment. The experimental results show that D301‐g‐IIPDMC possesses very strong adsorption affinity and excellent recognition for AuCl4−. The adsorption capacity of D301‐g‐IIPDMC for AuCl4− is 831.08 mg/g, and the selectivity coefficient relative to CuCl42− is 128. The adsorption behavior is an endothermic spontaneous process, and fit well with pseudo‐second order kinetic model and Freundlich adsorption isotherm model. Besides, D301‐g‐IIPDMC is desorbed easily and exhibits excellent reusability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
