Background The key task in China's medical and health field during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period is to realize treatment-prevention integration and innovate the mechanism of treatment-prevention integration. Objective This paper analyzes the implementation mechanism of treatment-prevention integration under the background of integrated service system construction, and provides reference for exploring the path of medical and prevention integration adapting to the strategy of "Healthy China". Methods Taking 2018 as the time node, relevant literature was searched on CNKI and Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform with keywords of "treatment-prevention integration" "medical and prevention coordination" "combination of prevention and treatment" and literatures on case policies, measures and implementation effects of integrated service systems such as medical alliance. Finally, 18 literatures and 15 cases were selected. Based on the rainbow model, system integration, organizational integration, professional integration, service integration, functional integration and normative integration were determined as condition variables from macro, meso and micro levels and supporting factors, and the effect of treatment-prevention integration was determined as result variable. QCA was adopted to explore the implementation mechanism of medical and preventive integration under the background of integrated service system construction. Results There were four configuration paths that could effectively improve the effect of treatment-prevention integration, and the four paths were in line with the multi-layer integrated path and the medium-micro integrated path respectively. The following results were obtained: (1) It was more effective to carry out treatment-prevention integration relying on the integrated service system, and there are multiple paths that can effectively improve the effect of treatment-prevention integration under the integrated service system; (2) Service integration plays a fundamental role in improving the effect of medical and preventive integration; (3) The setting of relevant policy indicators for improving the system integration, professional integration and functional integration of treatment-prevention integration is not perfect. Conclusion (1) Relying on the construction of integrated service system to promote the improvement of treatment-prevention integration effect; (2) Give full play to the basic guarantee role of service integration; (3) Make reference to the successful experience of multi-level integration cases, set policy indicators at macro, meso and micro levels in a balanced manner, and improve the integration of system integration, professional integration and supporting elements.

This research was designed to elucidate the anti-inflammatory impacts of liquiritin on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-activated human corneal epithelial cells (HCECs). The Cell Counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assay was adopted to assess cell viability. The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to detect the secretion levels of the proinflammatory cytokines IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α. Transcriptome analysis was conducted to identify the genes that exhibited differential expression between different treatment. The model group included cells treated with LPS (10 µg/mL), the treatment group comprised cells treated with liquiritin (80 µM) and LPS (10 µg/mL), and the control group consisted of untreated cells. To further validate the expression levels of the selected genes, including CSF2, CXCL1, CXCL2, CXCL8, IL1A, IL1B, IL24, IL6, and LTB, quantitative real-time PCR was performed. The expression of proteins related to the Akt/NF-κB signaling pathway was assessed through western blot analysis. NF-κB nuclear translocation was evaluated through immunofluorescence staining. The secretion of IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α in LPS-induced HCECs was significantly downregulated by liquiritin. Based on the transcriptome analysis, the mRNA expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines, namely IL-6, IL-8, IL-1β, IL-24, TNF-α, and IL-1α was overproduced by LPS stimulation, and suppressed after liquiritin treatment. Furthermore, the Western blot results revealed a remarkable reduction in the phosphorylation degrees of NF-κB p65, IκB, and Akt upon treatment with liquiritin. Additionally, immunofluorescence analysis confirmed liquiritin's inhibition of LPS-induced p65 nuclear translocation. Collectively, these findings imply that liquiritin suppresses the expression of proinflammatory cytokines, and the anti-inflammatory impacts of liquiritin may be caused by its repression of the Akt/NF-κB signaling pathway in LPS-induced HCECs. These data indicate that liquiritin could provide a potential therapeutic application for inflammation-associated corneal diseases. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Frailty was assessed by frailty index and frailty risk based on Rockwood's cumulative deficit frailty index. OLS and logistic regression models were conducted, with Oaxaca–Blinder and Fairlie decomposition methods to further analyse the factors contributing to gender disparities in frailty.The paper used four waves of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study from 2011 to 2018, a nationwide survey organised by the National Development Institute of Peking University.Women had higher frailty status than men, with more pronounced increases. Among the factors, education has the most significant association with frailty gender disparities. The contribution of individual characteristics, particularly education, to gender disparities in frailty appeared to diminish over time, while the contribution of family and regional factors remained relatively stable, and the contribution of institutions was deemed inadequate.The frailty in Chinese older adults is generally on the rise with continuously expanded gender disparities. It is crucial to consider the contributing factors to frailty in older adults for effective prevention and intervention strategies. Additional gender‐specific geriatric care policies are needed in order to address gender inequality in health.The findings of this study highlight the prevalence of increasing gender disparities in frailty and identify that the level of education, per capita annual household income as well as marital status are the most significant factors contributing to the gender gap. 42 subfertile patients with normal levels of plasma testerone (26 subnormal, suffering from oligospermia) have been treated with a combination of clomiphene citrate (50 mg Clomid daily) and mesterolon (50 mg Proviron daily) over a period of at least 3-6 months. The treatment resulted in pregnancy in 6 cases and in a significant improvement of the sperm count in 16. In 7, however, whilst the sperm count improved the qualitative results were unsatisfactory as many sperms were immature. Restricted spermatogenesis and a sperm count below 5 million/ml must be considered unfavourable but does not constitute a counter-indication to the combined therapy. No hazardous complications were observed.

In 73 patients with unilateral (70 patients) and bilateral (3 patients) varicocele and subfertility as a clinical finding, spermiograms, testicular biopsies, and plasma testosterone levels were examined for their prognostic evaluation, and therapeutic conclusions were drawn. The high ligature of the internal spermatic vein in the presence of a normal plasma testosterone level resulted, without accompanying therapy, in an improvement of normalization of the spermiogram in 23.3% of cases, and only in 7% did a pregnancy occur. A significant improvement of these results could be achieved through additional combined therapy with Mesterolone and Clomiphene. In primary testosterone deficiency, a combination of surgical correction and chemotheraphy (Mesterolone and Clomiphene) gave relatively satisfactory results. Primary sperm counts below 10(6)/ml, a motility index under 30%, and histologically proven desquamation of the germ epithelium in the testicular biopsy are to be regarded as extremely grave prognostic criteria.
