Metastatic diseases of the spine are becoming increasingly common with an aging population and improvements in systemic cancer therapies. Microwave and vertebroplasty are the mainstay modalities for treating painful spine metastases. Most early spinal metastases predominantly attack the adnexa, but there are few reports on its treatment. This report presents a case of a 56-year-old female who had experienced severe thoracic back pain for several days and was diagnosed with a metastatic tumor of the right transverse process of T7. Percutaneous microwave ablation in combination with bone cement injection was used to treat the metastatic tumor under CT guidance. The postoperative pain on the Visual Analogue Scale was 1/10, without nerve or vessel damage and bone cement leakage during the operation.

Green GDP represents the net positive effect of national economic growth. The positive effect of national economic growth will be enhanced if there is a higher percentage of green GDP in GDP. From the perspective of resources and environment, this paper introduces SEEA-2012 accounting system with indirect calculating methods of green GDP in China, within which the value of natural resource depletion, environmental pollution damage and environmental quality degradation are included. In order to reasonably select valid indicators and data so as to get accurate accounting results, different valuation methods and operational formulas in economics are adopted to construct a new accounting system model, and the green GDP of Chongqing City in 2018-2020 is accounted for. Results show that the green GDP of Chongqing in recent three years is 1,838.889 billion Yuan, 1,964.724 billion Yuan and 2,111.2 billion Yuan, respectively, and proportions of green GDP in traditional GDP are 90.30%, 91.01% and 89.44% respectively. By studying and analyzing the dependence of Chongqing on natural resources and the ecological environment in the process of economic development, this paper provides theoretical support for the sustainable development of the urban economy and environment, provides a reference basis for the local government to formulate economic development planning, and also provides a reference for the construction of green GDP accounting system in similar ecological areas.

Retinoic acid receptor α (RARα) is a transcription factor that plays an essential role in tumor progression. Triplenegative breast cancer (TNBC) is a subtype of breast carcinoma with a poor prognosis due to early therapeutic escape from conventional treatments and aggressive metastatic relapse by the occurrence of an epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). However, as the expression level of RARα does not correlate with the overall survival of TNBC patients, we speculate that post-translational modification such as phosphorylation of RARα may be involved in EMT and TNBC metastasis. After overexpressing a phosphorylation-defective mutant of RARα at serine 77 residue (RARαS77A), we found that RARα hypophosphorylation inhibited MDA-MB-231 cell motility and migration in vitro while reducing the lung metastatic potential in vivo. This was accompanied by increased expression of the epithelial marker E-cadherin and decreased expression of the mesenchymal markers β-catenin and zinc finger E-box-binding homeobox 1 (ZEB1) in agreement with the suppression of EMT. Interestingly, the overexpression of wild-type RARα in the presence of the RARα agonist AM580 failed to suppress EMT and cell migration. These results indicate that hypophosphorylated RARαS77 can directly mimic activated RARα to inhibit EMT and migration/invasion of cells, thus providing a novel target in the therapeutic intervention of TNBC.

In this study, we compared the physical properties of coconut fiber/polypropylene (PP) composite materials with coconut fiber as a reinforcing agent, produced through a hybrid injection molding process and a layered hot-pressing process. Through comparative experiments, the mechanical properties of both the hybrid injection-molded and layered hot-pressed materials were validated. The results indicated that, when using a coconut fiber content of 5%, the layered hot-pressed composite material exhibited optimal comprehensive performance. Specifically, its tensile strength reached 25.12 MPa, showing a 37.6% increase over that of pure PP materials of the same brand and batch. Its tensile modulus was 1.17 GPa, representing an 11.4% decrease. Additionally, its bending strength was 35.94 MPa, marking a 49.8% increase, and its bending modulus was 2.69 GPa, which is nearly double that of pure PP materials. Furthermore, through Creo modeling and an ANSYS simulation analysis, it was verified that this material could be applied to airbag covers in the field of automotive safety. This study confirmed that layered hot-pressed coconut fiber/PP composite materials exhibit superior mechanical properties to traditional materials and injection-molded composite materials, making them more suitable for airbag covers.
