Background: Injuries during sports and physical activities are a problem of public healthespecially for children and adolescents. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of safety measuresand first aid educational program among sports school students and their staff regarding sportsinjuries. Research design: Quasi experimental design was used in carrying out this study. Setting:The study was conducted at Benha Secondary Sporting School. The sample: Convenient samplewas used for the 1st and 2nd grade of secondary students (120) and all the staff (10). Three toolswere used I): A structured interviewing questionnaire which consists of three parts to assess, 1: AStudents' demographic data. B-History of students` sports injuries. C-Staff - demographic data. DHistory of sports injuries for staff 2: Students' and staff' knowledge about sporting injuries. 3:Students' and staff' reported practices regarding application of first aid for sports injuries II):Observational check list to assess the environment of school. III): Observational check list to assessthe practice of the staff and students regarding the application of injury safety measures during theirpractice. Results: 50% of students aged from 14 years and less than 16 years, and 50% of staffaged from 35 years to less than 45 years, 8.3% of the students had good knowledge regarding sportsinjury preprogram, however increased in post program to 65%, while 50% of the staff had goodknowledge regarding sports injury preprogram, and increased in post program to 80%. Also 26.7%of students had satisfactory total practice scores preprogram, this percentage increased to 75% inpost program. Moreover 60% of staff had satisfactory total practice scores preprogram, thispercentage increased to 90% in post program Conclusion: There was a highly statisticallysignificant positive correlation between students' and staff' total knowledge and total practices posteducational program. Recommendations: Periodical safety measures and first aid trainingprograms should be implemented for students and staff to improve their knowledge and practicesregarding sports injuries.

Background: Healthy lifestyle is essential for adolescent girls to promote their health.The study aimed to assess healthy lifestyle among secondary school adolescent girls in Iraq.Design: A descriptive correlational research design was utilized to conduct this study. Setting:the study was conducted at 25% of total secondary schools in Iraq it included 6 schools whichnamely; Masra El-Rasol school, Khadija school, Belquis school, Adhamiya school, Haririschool, Al-Entsar school at Russafa in Baghdad. Subjects: included 200 adolescent student girlsfrom previous mentioned school. Tools: Two tools were used for data collection; first tool: Aninterviewing questionnaire to assess knowledge regarding healthy lifestyle. Tool two: FantasticLifestyle questionnaire which included 15 closed questionnaires. Results: 68.0% of thestudied students had average total knowledge about healthy life style, while, 29.5% of them hadgood total knowledge about healthy life style. In addition to, 2.5% of them had poor totalknowledge about healthy life style. Also, 69.5% of the studied students had total psychologicalhealthy lifestyle. While, 62.5% of them had unhealthy social lifestyle and 66.5% of them hadtotal unhealthy lifestyle. Conclusion: There was highly statistically significant correlationbetween total knowledge about healthy life style of the studied students and total practicesabout healthy life style. Recommendations: Health educational programs about healthy lifestyle to enhance health promotion

Background: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease represents an important public health challengeand it's a major cause of chronic morbidity and mortality of the elderly people throughout the world.The aim of this study was to evaluate home health care intervention regarding quality of life for elderlypatients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in Benha City. Research design: A quasiexperimental design was utilized in this study. Setting: This study was conducted in Outpatient Clinicsof Chest Hospital in Benha City. The sample: Purposive sample 100 elderly patients with chronicobstructive pulmonary disease. Tools: Three tools are used I): A structured interviewing questionnairewhich consists of four parts to assess A): Demographic characteristics of the studied elderly patients, B):Medical history of the studied elderly patients with COPD, C): Knowledge of the studied elderly patientsregarding chronic obstructive pulmonary disease D): Reported practices of the studied elderly patientsregarding COPD, II): Scale to measure quality of life of the studied elderly patients with chronicobstructive pulmonary disease, III): Observational checklist: A- was used to observe practices of thestudied elderly patients, B- was used to observe home of the studied elderly patients. Results: 55% ofthe studied elderly patients had good knowledge post intervention, 81% of the studied elderly patientswere satisfactory practices post intervention, 72% of the studied elderly patients had good total scores ofquality of life post intervention. Conclusion: The home health care intervention succeeded to improveknowledge, practices and quality of life of the studied elderly patients. Recommendations: Continuoushome health care intervention for the elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease toincrease their knowledge and improve their practices

Reproductive health is a crucial part of the general health, not only as a key element of the health during adolescence and adulthood but also through sitting the stage for health beyond the reproductive years for both women and men. The aim of the study is to evaluate the effect of enhancement of knowledge and attitude of secondary school girls regarding reproductive health. The present study hypothized that most of girls had lack of knowledge and misconception about reproductive health issues which may negatively affect their attitude before providing them with guideline. The study conducted at Alshiamaa secondary school located in Benha City at Kaluobia Governorate The sample included 160 girls in adolescent period, from third year. The tools of data collection were structured demographic sheet, knowledge questionnaire sheet and modified Likert Scale. The result showed that 58.8% of secondary school girls who are included in the study had poor knowledge about reproductive health issues and 67.5% of them had negative attitude about it. The study recommended that, developing reproductive health awareness programs targeted to adolescents on large sample size, in different schools to high light this issue.
