The article provides information on a three-part rehabilitation curriculum developed in a medical school's mandatory month-long neurology clerkship in 2023. A neurologist and psychiatrist co-taught the introduction to describe principles of rehabilitation and recovery, patient eligibility for rehabilitation care, and opportunities for students to support patients across the transition. Telemedicine is now an established mode of clinical care for most medical specialties, and clinical teachers must teach and precept learners in this modality. However, faculty need training on how best to teach students when caring for patients via telemedicine. Effectively incorporating learners into telemedicine visits to optimize their education is a critical skill for clinical teachers. In this article, we review 12 practical tips unique to telemedicine to engage and educate undergraduate medical education learners in building their clinical skills. We outline synchronous and asynchronous elements before, during, and after the patient encounter to facilitate teaching while improving patient care. Dysautonomias are a heterogenous group of disorders that can cause variable symptoms ranging from isolated impairment of one autonomic function to multisystem failure. The causes are also diverse and can be central or peripheral and primary (owing to an intrinsic neurologic cause) or secondary (owing to a disorder that secondarily causes damage to the autonomic nervous system). This review covers common phenotypes of dysautonomias, primary and secondary causes, initial clinical workups, interpretation of common autonomic tests, and first-line treatments.
