Objective: This study aims to investigate the experiences of parents who have experienced bereavement in their efforts to preserve memories of their deceased child., Methods: Employing a qualitative meta-synthesis approach, this study systematically sought relevant qualitative literature by conducting searches across various electronic databases, including PubMed, Embase, CINAHL, PsycINFO, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and Wiley, up until July 2023., Results: Nine studies are eligible for inclusion and included in the meta-synthesis. Three overarching categories are identified: (1) Affirming the Significance of Memory Making. (2) Best Practices in Memory Making. (3) Barriers to Effective Memory Making., Conclusion: Bereaved parents highly value the act of creating lasting memories, emphasizing its profound significance. While forming these memories, it is imperative to offer family-centered care and honor diverse preferences and needs. It is essential to offer effective support to parents, offering them a range of choices. Furthermore, a more comprehensive examination of memory-making practices is required to better understand their influence on parents' recollections of their deceased child., (© 2024. The Author(s).)

Due to its traditional fermentation, there are obvious limits on the quality improvements in black tea. However, microbial fermentation can provide an abundance of metabolites and improve the flavor of tea. The "golden flower" fungi are widely used in the microbial fermentation of tea and has unique uses in healthcare. To further explore the improvements in black tea quality achieved via microbial fermentation, we used widely targeted metabolomics and metagenomics analyses to investigate the changes in and effects of metabolites and other microorganisms during the interaction between the "golden flower" fungi and black tea. Five key flavor metabolites were detected, the levels of catechin, epigallocatechin gallate, (-)-epicatechin gallate were decreased by different degrees after the inoculation of the "golden flower" fungus, whereas the levels of caffeine and (+)-gallocatechin increased. Botryosphaeriaceae, Botryosphaeriales, Dothideomycetes, Aspergillaceae, Trichocomaceae, and Lecanoromycetes play a positive role in the black tea fermentation process after inoculation with the "golden flower" fungi. D-Ribose can prevent hypoxia-induced apoptosis in cardiac cells, and it shows a strong correlation with Botryosphaeriaceae and Botryosphaeriales. The interaction between microorganisms and metabolites is manifested in tryptophan metabolism, starch and sucrose metabolism, and amino sugar and nucleotide sugar metabolism. In conclusion, the changes in metabolites observed during the fermentation of black tea by "golden flower" fungi are beneficial to human health. The small molecule chemical compound cinobufotalin (CB) is reported to be a potential antitumour drug that increases cisplatin (DDP) sensitivity in nasopharyngeal carcinoma. In this study, we first found that CB decreased DDP resistance, migration and invasion in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). Mechanistic studies showed that CB induced ENKUR expression by suppressing PI3K/AKT signalling to downregulate c-Jun, a negative transcription factor of ENKUR. Furthermore, ENKUR was shown to function as a tumour suppressor by binding to β-catenin to decrease c-Jun expression, thus suppressing MYH9 transcription. Interestingly, MYH9 is a binding protein of ENKUR. The Enkurin domain of ENKUR binds to MYH9, and the Myosin_tail of MYH9 binds to ENKUR. Downregulation of MYH9 reduced the recruitment of the deubiquitinase USP7, leading to increased c-Myc ubiquitination and degradation, decreased c-Myc nuclear translocation, and inactivation of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) signalling, thus attenuating DDP resistance. The forward and reverse cDNA subtractive libraries before and after the toxic effect of alpha-amanitin were constructed by suppression subtractive hybridization and randomly selected clones from each subtractive library were screened by PCR and dot blot hybridization. A total of 85 genes with altered expression were finally identified, with 41 genes from the forward library and 44 from the reverse library. Subsequently, the antagonistic effects of candidate traditional Chinese medicines were evaluated based on the genetic transcription levels of the genes with significant altered expression, including Catnbeta, Flt3-L, IL-7r and Rpo2-4. The results indicated that Silybum marianum (L.) Gaert and Ganoderma lucidum had significant down-regulated effects on the transcription level of Catnbeta that was up-regulated by alpha-amanitin, and the two herbs also up-regulated the transcription levels of Flt3-L and Rpo2-4. Silybum marianum (L.) had significant up-regulated effects on the IL-7r that was down-regulated by alpha-amanitin. These preliminary studies suggested that Silybum marianum (L.) and Ganoderma lucidum were effective antagonists against the toxicity of alpha-amanitin.

Objective: To evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of QT dispersion (QTd) and ST/heart rate slope (ST/HRs) at the end of ECG exercise test plus ST-segment depression on diagnosing restenosis after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)., Methods: Between November 2001 and December 2003, 129 patients underwent PCI successfully, and they were examined 3-6 months later. At the end of treadmill exercise, QTd and ST/HRs were measured. All patients also accepted coronary angiography to ascertain whether he/she had restenosis. The results of QTd and ST/HRs plus ST-segment depression were then evaluated., Results: The sensitivity and specificity of QTd and ST/HRs plus ST-segment depression were 84.6% and 80.4% respectively. Both of them were significantly higher than conventional ST-segment depression standard (sensitivity was 53.3% and specificity was 66.7%, P<0.05)., Conclusion: Measuring QTd and ST/HRs at the end of ECG treadmill exercise test plus ST-segment depression can be used for the diagnosis of restenosis after PCI.

Objective: To investigate the metabolic regulation and apoptosis of Sailong bone extracts on rat osteoblast cells in vitro., Method: Sailong bone fat-soluble extract, Sailong bone ethanol extract and Sailong bone aqueous extract were extracted with super critical fluid extraction (SCFE) , and Sailong bone boiling water component was extracted with distilled water directly. MTT assay was applied to determine the proliferation of the cell promoted by four Sailong bone extracts and PAS assay for the aqueous proportion of the cell at different doses., Result: Sailong bone fat-soluble and aqueous extract (each 10 mg x mL (-1)) could significantly improve the proliferation of rat osteoblast cells ROS 17/2. 8 (P < 0. 01). Compared with the blank, the proportion of xub-G, of the different extracts from Sailong bone is reduce evidently. The result have shown the extracts from Sailong bone could reduce the rate of aqueous of cell and could suspend the aqueous., Conclusion: Sailong bone can promoting the proliferation, degrading the rate of the apoptosis and delay the development of osteoblast to be the substitute of the bone of tiger as a Chinese materia medica.
