The effective components and key targets of Shan Zhuyu (Cornus officinalis Sieb.et Zucc, SZY)-ShanYao (Dioscorea opposita Thunb, SY) (SS) in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease (AD, neurodegenerative disease) were screened by network pharmacology (NP) and molecular docking (MD) technology in this study. We obtained 25 potential bioactive ingredients, 88 putative targets of SS and 4893 related-AD targets. Traditional Chinese Medicine of SS has 77 common targets with AD disease.The network of drug-disease was fabricated 7 key pharmacodynamic components. Interaction network construction and topological analysis yielded, 8 anti-AD targets of SS were filtered. MD investigations showed that bioactive compounds (Hydroxygenkwanin and hancinone C) could stably bind to the key target proteins. 13 pathways related to AD were revealed signaling pathway and functional enrichment analysis. Among them, identified a statistically high significance of the calcium signaling pathway and a variety of calcium channels have been shown to be altered in AD. Our studies confirmed multiple active ingredients, potential targets about pathways of SS, by regulating the active components combined with relevant target proteins in the calcium signaling pathway, which are crucial in the accumulation of neurofbrillary tangles (NFTs) and amyloid-β (Aβ) plaques. In this paper, a 37-42.5GHz (N260 Band) 64 channel full-digital multi-beam array for 5G massive multiple input multiple output (MIMO) applications is developed. The multi-beam array is built on a time division duplexing (TDD) architecture in which the transmitter and receivers are independent and working separately to enable more flexible channel configuration and hardware distribution. The 64 antenna elements of the array are aligned in a way that 16 elements lie in the horizontal and 4 in the vertical direction to deliver higher beam resolution in the horizontal plane. By using cables of unequal lengths, the 16 × 4 antenna elements are connected to a cluster of 8 × 8 transmitters/receivers. The hardware design of the transmitters, receivers, antennas and other circuits is demonstrated, with excellent measured RF performance achieved. Furthermore, the calibration of the massive MIMO array is presented, and the influence of inequality of array feedlines on calibration accuracy in a wide bandwidth is analyzed and experimentally verified. Finally, experimental studies on single beam scanning, multiple concurrent beam generation and over-the-air (OTA) performance of the transmitting and receiving array have been done. Simulation and measurement results suggest that the array has an excellent beam-forming capability that supports beam steering and generation of multiple concurrent beams. The OTA test reveals that the array can provide high modulation and demodulation accuracy for communication.

Boron carbide powders were synthesized by combustion synthesis using organics chitosan, dextrin, cellulose, starch, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as carbon sources. The microwave absorbing properties of boron carbide powders synthesized by different carbon sources were investigated. The results showed that the powders synthesized using organic compounds containing Cl and N atoms as carbon sources have better absorbing properties. The peak value of reflection loss of boron carbide powder prepared with chitosan as carbon source is −46.41 dB at 2.1 mm thickness, with an effective absorption range of 9.21–12.30 GHz and an effective absorption bandwidth of 3.09 GHz. The small and uniform boron carbide grains and residual carbon with multiple morphologies enhance the interface polarization and electronic polarization in the material, which leads to multiple reflections and losses of the microwave. Additionally, the lattice defects and surface holes caused by Cl, N, and other atoms in chitosan and PVC increase the energy storage sites of the material, which makes the materials obtain excellent microwave absorbing properties. Transposable elements (TEs) are prevalent components of diverse genomes, and play an important role on the genomic stability and expression regulation of their adjacent genes. It is interesting to know the variation of TE expression and the effects of the presence/absence of TEs on gene expression after hybridization. Here we assessed the expression variation of TEs and the impacts of TEs on expression of nearby genes after hybridization based on comparisons of three pairs of reciprocal F1 hybrids and four parents in Capsella rubella. Of the 480 TE families expressed in all the four parents and six F1 hybrids, 7–23 (1.5%–4.2%) TE families were significantly differentially expressed between in silico and real F1 hybrids, indicating the expression levels of these TE families were affected during hybridization. In particular, there was a Copia TE superfamily and a non‐long terminal repeat (non‐LTR) TE differentially expressed between the reciprocal F1 hybrids of 879 and 86IT1, indicating maternal effects may have impacts on expression of TEs in these F1 hybrids. Besides the impacts on the expression of TE families of the hybridization, genes adjacent to polymorphic TEs tended to show a higher proportion (24.83%) of allele‐specific expression (ASE) in F1 hybrids. Overall, our results highlight the impacts of hybridization on the expression level variation of TEs, and the effects of TEs on ASE after hybridization. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The thermal insulating properties of polymer greatly restrict the application of polymer as the thermal conductivity materials in industry. Multilayer graphene was chosen as a filler due to its unique thermal transfer property. The effect of alumina oxide (Al2O3) and silicon carbide (SiC) with graphene as hybrid fillers on thermal conductivity of polymers was also explored. The thermal conductivity of the composites enhances 161% with 3%(mass fraction) graphene content compared to pure nylon-6(PA6). The thermal conductivity of PA6 composites is within 0.653-4.307W·m-1·K-1 by adjusting hybrid fillers content and the ratio of graphene with Al2O3 and SiC. The best thermal conductivity is 20 times higher than the pure PA6. It is no doubt that the exploration can provide valuable experimental basis for extending the utilization of graphene as thermal conductivity filler and the application of PA6 thermal conductivity materials in industry.
