This work aims to show the advantages of using gamification as a learning methodology. Throughout it, a theoretical study on gamification is carried out in which shows its concept, as well as its application in different areas. The work focuses on gamification within education since this work takes place in a school context. Likewise, the planning and execution of a gamified proposal is included in order to apply the contents learned in the search for information. In the proposal, the kids are involved in a story in which they must help an alien. To rescue it, you must pass the different reading activities. This proposal try to find the initial motivation of the students in a future reading project that the centre will carry out. Finally, the conclusions reached after a reflection on the results obtained in this work are presented. Educación

Treball Final de Grau en Estudis Anglesos. Codi: EA0938. Curs acadèmic: 2017/2018 This paper examines the evolution of traditional female roles in Nigerian Women’s writing. Focusing the debate in marriage and motherhood. Based on two contemporary novels by Igbo female authors from two different generations, Flora Nwapa, Efuru (1966) and Buchi Emecheta The Joys of Motherhood (1979). From the patriarchal discourse in the subsequent years of postcolonialism, an evaluation can be observed in how marriage and motherhood has been developed. Efuru explores the possible alternative to motherhood and marriage offering a women-independent solution, achieving fulfillment from their own election, not only in the fact of conceiving children but also in the election of marriage. Ironically, The Joys of Motherhood is an answer to Efuru, which shows that the joys which the Nigerian Igbo society pretends to demonstrate hides threat, vexations and contempt towards women. This study suggests a reexamination of African female voice which neither show the reality of the African female collective nor answer their demands.

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: To analyze the ophthalmic characteristics of congenital prepapillary vascular loop (PVL) and to propose a new morphologic classification dividing the loops into six types. SUBJECTS/METHODS: Collaborative multinational multicentre retrospective study of PVL cases. RESULTS: There was a total of 49 cases (61 eyes), 37 unilateral (75.5%) and 12 bilateral (24.5%), 32 arterial type (65.3%) and 18 venous type (36.7%) (one patient had either kind in each eye). The mean number of loops per eye was 2.7 (range, 1-7). The loops were asymptomatic in 42 cases (85.7%). Other findings included: the presence of cilioretinal artery (14 cases), retinal vascular tortuosity (26 cases), amaurosis fugax (1 case), branch retinal artery occlusion (1 case) and vitreous haemorrhage (3 cases). Six morphologic loop types could be discerned based on elevation (flat vs. elevated), shape (figure of 8 or corkscrew with hyaline sheath), number (multiple or single), location (central or peripheral), lumen size (arterial vs. arteriolar) and presence of vascular tortuosity or vitreous traction. CONCLUSIONS: PVL are usually asymptomatic and can be divided into six morphologic types with different pathogenesis during early embryogenesis.
