The boundary conditions in thermal simulation of the spindle system are very complicated and the empirically calculated ones will usually result in a significant discrepancy between experiment and simulation. Thus, the optimal boundary conditions were identified by treating it as an inverse optimization problem in this paper. Moreover, to advance the optimization efficiency, a reduced order model is established to replace the time-consuming thermal simulation of the spindle system. By superposition of truncated eigenmodes and accurately predicted modal coefficients, the reduced order model can reconstruct the field very similar to thermal simulation. Experimental reconstruction of both the temperature field and thermal deformation field by the reduced order model demonstrated its at least 360 times speedup with 99.8 % accuracy compared to the actual thermal simulation. With the accurate reduced order model as a lightweight digital twin and using the differential evolution algorithm, three types of boundary conditions, i.e., the heat generation rates, the convective heat transfer coefficients and the thermal contact resistances, under the shaft rotation speed of 4,000r/min were identified within 11s. The maximum temperature simulation error was reduced from 85.6 % to 6.6 % and the thermal deformation simulation error was reduced from 60.9 % to 10.8 %.

Despite decades of laboratory and clinical trials, breast cancer remains the main cause of cancer-related disease burden in women. Considering the metabolism destruction effect of metformin (Met) and cancer cell starvation induced by glucose oxidase (GOx), after their efficient delivery to tumor sites, GOx and Met may consume a large amount of glucose and produce sufficient hydrogen peroxide in situ. Herein, a pH-responsive epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG)-conjugated low-molecular-weight chitosan (LC-EGCG, LE) nanoparticle (Met–GOx/Fe@LE NPs) was constructed. The coordination between iron ions (Fe3+) and EGCG in this nanoplatform can enhance the efficacy of chemodynamic therapy via the Fenton reaction. Met–GOx/Fe@LE NPs allow GOx to retain its enzymatic activity while simultaneously improving its stability. Moreover, this pH-responsive nanoplatform presents controllable drug release behavior. An in vivo biodistribution study showed that the intracranial accumulation of GOx delivered by this nanoplatform was 3.6-fold higher than that of the free drug. The in vivo anticancer results indicated that this metabolism destruction/starvation/chemodynamic triple-combination therapy could induce increased apoptosis/death of tumor cells and reduce their proliferation. This triple-combination therapy approach is promising for efficient and targeted cancer treatment.

Abstract Background TCP proteins are plant specific transcription factors that play important roles in plant growth and development. Despite the known significance of these transcription factors in general plant development, their specific role in fruit growth remains largely uncharted. Therefore, this study explores the potential role of TCP transcription factors in the growth and development of sweet cherry fruits. Results Thirteen members of the PavTCP family were identified within the sweet cherry plant, with two, PavTCP1 and PavTCP4, found to contain potential target sites for Pav-miR159, Pav-miR139a, and Pav-miR139b-3p. Analyses of cis-acting elements and Arabidopsis homology prediction analyses that the PavTCP family comprises many light-responsive elements. Homologs of PavTCP1 and PavTCP3 in Arabidopsis TCP proteins were found to be crucial to light responses. Shading experiments showed distinct correlation patterns between PavTCP1, 2, and 3 and total anthocyanins, soluble sugars, and soluble solids in sweet cherry fruits. These observations suggest that these genes may contribute significantly to sweet cherry light responses. In particular, PavTCP1 could play a key role, potentially mediated through Pav-miR159, Pav-miR139a, and Pav-miR139b-3p. Conclusion This study is the first to unveil the potential function of TCP transcription factors in the light responses of sweet cherry fruits, paving the way for future investigations into the role of this transcription factor family in plant fruit development.

Objective: Preventing adverse events due to unstable oxygen saturation (SpO2) at night in pregnant women is of utmost importance. Poor sleep has been demonstrated to impact SpO2 levels. Nowadays, many gravida have a habit of prolonged exposure to light before sleep, which can disrupt their sleep. Therefore, this study aimed at investigate the relationship between lights-out time, sleep parameters and SpO2, exploring the underlying mechanisms. Methods: The data of 2881 eligible subjects from the Nulliparous Pregnancy Outcomes Study Monitoring Mothers-to-be and Sleep Disordered Breathing (nuMOM2b-SDB) database were analyzed. Multiple linear regression models were used to investigate the relationship between lights-out time and SpO2. In addition, restricted cubic splines (RCS) were employed to fit the nonlinear correlation between the two variables. The smoothing curve method was further utilized to depict the relationship between lights-out time and SpO2 based on various subgroup variables. Results: All participants were categorized according to race/ethnicity. A negative correlation was observed between nighttime lights-out time and average value of SpO2 (Avg-SpO2) (β = −0.05, p = 0.010). RCS revealed a U-shaped relationship between lights-out time and Avg-SpO2, with the turning point at 22:00. The subcomponent stratification results indicated that the Avg-SpO2 and minimum value of SpO2(Min-SpO2) of advanced maternal age decreased as the lights-out time was delayed. Furthermore, overweight and obese gravida showed lower Avg-SpO2 and Min-SpO2 levels than normal weight. Conclusions: A U-shaped relationship was identified between lights-out time and nocturnal Avg-SpO2 during early pregnancy, with the inflection at 22:00. Notably, later lights-out times are associated with lower levels of Min-SpO2 for advanced maternal age. The findings suggest that appropriately adjusting the duration of light exposure before sleep and maintaining a relatively restful state may be more beneficial for the stability of SpO2 in pregnant women. Conversely, deviations from these practices could potentially lead to pathological alterations in SpO2 levels.

Background: Internal capsule strokes often result in multidomain cognitive impairments across memory, attention, and executive function, typically due to disruptions in brain network connectivity. Our study examines these impairments by analyzing interactions within the triple-network model, focusing on both static and dynamic aspects. Methods: We collected resting-state fMRI data from 62 left (CI_L) and 56 right (CI_R) internal capsule stroke patients, along with 57 healthy controls (HC). Using independent component analysis to extract the default mode (DMN), executive control (ECN), and salience networks (SAN), we conducted static and dynamic functional network connectivity analyses (DFNC) to identify differences between stroke patients and controls. For DFNC, we used k-means clustering to focus on temporal properties and multilayer network analysis to examine integration and modularity Q, where integration represents dynamic interactions between networks, and modularity Q measures how well the network is divided into distinct modules. We then calculated the correlations between SFNC/DFNC properties with significant inter-group differences and cognitive scales. Results: Compared to HC, both CI_L and CI_R patients showed increased static FCs between SAN and DMN and decreased dynamic interactions between ECN and other networks. CI_R patients also had heightened static FCs between SAN and ECN and maintained a state with strongly positive FNCs across all networks in the triple-network model. Additionally, CI_R patients displayed decreased modularity Q. Conclusion: These findings highlight that stroke can result in the disruption of static and dynamic interactions in the triple network model, aiding our understanding of the neuropathological basis for multidomain cognitive deficits after internal capsule stroke.

Rice lodging, a phenomenon precipitated by environmental factors or crop characteristics, presents a substantial challenge in agricultural production, notably impacting yield prediction and disaster assessment. Despite that the application of conventional methodologies like visual assessment, mathematical models, and satellite remote sensing technologies has been employed in the segmentation of crop lodging, these approaches are still constrained in precision, immediacy, and capacity for large-scale evaluation. This study introduces an innovative convolutional neural network architecture, AFOA + APOM + UConvNeXt, that integrates intelligent optimization algorithms for automatic selection of optimal network parameters, thereby enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of crop lodging segmentation. The proposed model, empirically validated, outperforms recent state-of-the-art models in crop lodging segmentation, demonstrating higher accuracy, lower computational resource requirements, and greater efficiency, thereby markedly reducing the cost of segmentation. In addition, we investigated the segmentation on half lodging rice, and the results indicate that the model exhibits commendable performance on the half lodging dataset. This outcome holds significant implications for the prediction of rice lodging trends. The fusion of deep learning with intelligent optimization algorithms in this study offers a new effective tool for crop lodging monitoring in agricultural production, providing strong technical support for accurate crop phenotypic information extraction, and is expected to play a significant role in agricultural production practices.

Abstract Background The pathogenesis of schizophrenia is still unknown. Nearly a half of schizophrenic patients have depressive symptoms and even some impulsive behaviors. The definite diagnosis of schizophrenia is an immense challenge. Molecular biology plays an essential role in the research on the pathogenesis of schizophrenia. Objective This study aims to analyze the correlations of serum protein factor levels with depressive emotion and impulsive behaviors in drug-naïve patients with first-episode schizophrenia. Methods Seventy drug-naïve patients with first-episode schizophrenia and sixty-nine healthy volunteers from the health check center in the same period participated in this study. In both the patient group and control group, brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), phosphatidylin-ositol-3-kinase (PI3K), protein kinase B (AKT), and cAMP-response element binding protein (CREB) levels in the peripheral blood were tested by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The depressive emotion and impulsive behaviors were evaluated with Chinese versions of the Calgary Depression Scale for Schizophrenia (CDSS) and Short UPPS-P Impulsive Behavior Scale (S-UPPS-P), respectively. Results The serum levels of BDNF, PI3K, and CREB in the patient group were lower than those in the control group, while AKT level, total CDSS score and total S-UPPS-P score were all higher. In the patient group, total CDSS score, and total S-UPPS-P score were both correlated negatively with BDNF, PI3K, and CREB levels but positively with AKT level, and the lack-of-premeditation (PR) sub-scale score was not significantly correlated with BDNF, PI3K, AKT, and CREB levels. Conclusion Our study results showed that the peripheral blood levels of BDNF, PI3K, AKT, and CREB in drug-naïve patients with first-episode schizophrenia were significantly different from those in the control group. The levels of these serum protein factors are promising biomarkers to predict schizophrenic depression and impulsive behaviors.

Shunting for taking-out and placing-in of wagons (STPW) is an important work of freight stations, technical stations with more cargo operations, and large intermediate stations.The sequence optimization of STPW can effectively reduce the total shunting time and reduce operating costs, which is of great significance. When the optimization goal is to minimize the total shunting time, there will be many optimal solutions. Therefore, it is necessary to introduce a second optimization objective in order to seek a more reasonable solution from numerous optimal solutions. However, there is no relevant research on this in existing literature. In response to this situation, this paper proposes two optimization objectives: the first is to minimize the total time of STPW, and the second is to minimize the wagon-hour based on minimizing the total time of STPW. Based on the above two optimization objectives, a mathematical model is established, and a three-stage optimization solution strategy is proposed. The first stage is to solve the first optimization objective by using the improved ant colony algorithm; the second stage is to introduce and improve the crossover operation of the genetic algorithm to improve the diversity of the optimal path; the third stage is to solve the second optimization objective. Finally, an example is given to verify the feasibility of the model and the solution strategy.

Anthocyanins exist widely in various plant tissues and organs, and they play an important role in plant reproduction, disease resistance, stress resistance, and protection of human vision. Most fruit anthocyanins can be induced to accumulate by light. Here, we shaded the “Hong Deng” sweet cherry and performed an integrated analysis of its transcriptome and metabolome to explore the role of light in anthocyanin accumulation. The total anthocyanin content of the fruit and two of its anthocyanin components were significantly reduced after the shading. Transcriptome and metabolomics analysis revealed that PAL, 4CL, HCT, ANS and other structural genes of the anthocyanin pathway and cyanidin 3-O-glucoside, cyanidin 3-O-rutinoside, and other metabolites were significantly affected by shading. Weighted total gene network analysis and correlation analysis showed that the upstream and middle structural genes 4CL2, 4CL3, and HCT2 of anthocyanin biosynthesis may be the key genes affecting the anthocyanin content variations in fruits after light shading. Their expression levels may be regulated by transcription factors such as LBD, ERF4, NAC2, NAC3, FKF1, LHY, RVE1, and RVE2. This study revealed for the first time the possible role of LBD, FKF1, and other transcription factors in the light-induced anthocyanin accumulation of sweet cherry, thereby laying a preliminary foundation for further research on the role of light in anthocyanin accumulation of deep red fruit varieties and the genetic breeding of sweet cherry.

Objective: To study thesedative, anti-anxiety and hypnotic effects of Schisandra chinensis vine stem lignans (SSL) and its underlying mechanism. Methods: One hundred and fifty ICR male mice were evenly and randomly divided into 5 groups, namely the blank control group, the SSL low-dose group (35 mg/kg), middle-dose group (70 mg/kg), and high-dose group (140 mg/kg), and diazepam positive control group (4 mg/kg). All treatments were administered intragastrically, 0.1 mL/10 g and once daily for 7 days. The autonomous activities of mice were used to observe the sedative effect, the elevated plus maze and elevated zero Maze were used to observe the anti-anxiety effect. The synergistic sleep test of pentobarbital sodium at subthreshold and threshold doses was used to observe the hypnotic effect. Abstract The increasingly developed online platform generates a large amount of online reviews every moment, e.g., Yelp and Amazon. Consumers gradually develop the habit of reading previous reviews before making a decision of buying or choosing various products. Online reviews play an vital part in determining consumers’ purchase choices in e-commerce, yet many online reviews are intentionally created to confuse or mislead potential consumers. Moreover, driven by product reputations and merchants’ profits, more and more spam reviews were inserted into online platform. This kind of reviews can be positive, negative or neutral, but they had common features: misleading consumers or damaging reputations. In the past decade, many people conducted research on detecting spam reviews using statistical or deep learning method with various datasets. In view of that, this article first introduces the task of spam online reviews detection and makes a common definition of spam reviews. Then, we comprehensively conclude the existing method and available datasets. Third, we summarize the existing network-based approaches in dealing with this task and propose some direction for future research.

Background: Hypertension is a major risk factor for cardiovascular diseases and the leading cause of mortality worldwide. Despite the availability of antihypertensive drugs, alternative treatments are needed due to the adverse events associated with their use. Previous studies have shown that SABP, a combination of aqueous active metabolites of Salvia Miltiorrhiza Bunge DSS, Sal-A, Sal-B and PAL, has a significant antihypertensive effect. However, the underlying mechanisms remain unknown.Objective: This study aimed to determine the effects of SABP on vascular inflammation, oxidative stress, and vascular remodeling in spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs). Additionally, the response of adventitial fibroblasts in SHRs to SABP treatment was also studied, including their proliferation, differentiation, and migration.Methods: SABP or perindopril (positive control) were administered intraperitoneally to SHRs, and systolic blood pressure was measured using a tail-cuff approach. The effects of SABP on oxidative stress, inflammation, and vascular remodeling were investigated by transmission electron microscopy, histochemical staining, and Western blot. Adventitial fibroblasts were isolated and cultured from the adventitia of thoracic aorta in SHR and WKY rats. CCK8 assay, wound healing method and immunostaining were used to observe the effect of SABP on fibroblasts proliferation, migration and transformation into myofibroblasts. Moreover, Western blot analysis was also performed to detect the proteins related to oxidative stress, inflammation and fibrosis in adventitial fibroblasts.Results: SHRs displayed higher blood pressure with significant vascular remodeling compared to WKY rats. The thoracic aorta and adventitial fibroblasts of SHRs exhibited significant oxidative stress, inflammation and fibrosis. SABP treatment repressed oxidative stress, inflammatory reaction and vascular remodeling of thoracic aorta in SHR through the ROS/TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway, and inhibited fibrosis of thoracic aorta. Additionally, SABP inhibited the proliferation and migration of adventitial fibroblasts and their transformation to myofibroblasts in vitro through the TGFβ/Smad3 signaling pathway.Conclusion: These findings suggest that SABP have potential as an alternative treatment for hypertension by ameliorating oxidative stress, inflammation and fibrosis. Further research is needed to fully understand the mechanisms underlying the effects of SABP.

The color of sweet cherry fruits is an important indicator of their appearance and quality. That influences the purchasing desires of consumers. We performed a multi-omics analysis of two different colors of sweet cherry fruits (yellow “Bing Hu” and dark-red “Hong Deng” fruits). A total of 12 flavonoid differential metabolites, including hesperetin, rutin, and quercetin, and 18 differential structural genes, including PAL, CHS, FLS, and DFR, were identified. Possible key regulatory genes for the second stage of color change (from green to yellow) of “Bing Hu” sweet cherry fruits were identified as SBP, bHLH, WD40, and bZIP, which regulated the accumulation of flavonoids, including hesperetin and naringenin. In addition, the possible important roles of transcription factors, which were mainly MYB, bHLH, AP2, and WRKY, in the third stage of color change in both fruits were also identified. This study offers new insights into the changes in fruit coloration between yellow and dark-red sweet cherries, while the analysis of key metabolites and differential genes lays a molecular foundation for future color improvement and breeding programs.

Abstract Background Craniopharyngioma (CP) is rare histologically benign but clinically challenging tumor because of its intimate relationship with the critical structure in the central brain. CP can be divided into two major histologic subtypes: adamantinomatous-type CP (ACP) and papillary-type CP (PCP). Although some genetic aberrations for both categories have been revealed in previous studies, the complete spectrum of genetic changes of this tumor remains unknown. Methods In this study, we conducted whole genome sequencing (WGS) on twenty-six CPs including 16 ACPs and 10 PCPs together with their matched blood samples. Somatic variants (SNVs, InDels, SVs and CNVs) were identified and mutational signatures were characterized for each patient. We investigated the impact of a novel CTNNB1 mutant on its protein stability, ubiquitination and Wnt pathway activity. Cell proliferation ability of the CTNNB1 mutant in ACP primary cells was additionally analyzed by CCK8 and colony formation assays. Results We found that CPs had showed less complexity with fewer somatic mutations compared with malignant tumors. Moreover, mutations in CTNNB1 (68.75% of ACP) and BRAF V600E (70.00% of PCP) are mutually exclusive in ACP and PCP, consolidating that the driving roles of these two genes in ACP and PCP, respectively. A novel mutation in the exon 3 of CTNNB1 which compromised both a transversion and in-frame deletion was identified in ACP. This mutation was experimentally validated to confer β-catenin increased stability by inhibiting its ubiquitination, thus activating Wnt-signaling pathway and promoting cell proliferation. Conclusions Whole genome landscape for CP was revealed by WGS analysis, and a novel mutation in the exon 3 of CTNNB1 was identified. This novel mutation activates Wnt-signaling pathway through increasing the stability of β-catenin. Our findings provided us with more comprehensive insight into the spectrum of genetic alterations in CP.

Flesh color is an important target trait in peach [Prunus persica (L.) Batsch] breeding. In this study, two white-fleshed peach cultivars were crossed [Changsong Whitepeach (WP-1) × ‘Xiacui’], and their hybrid F1 generation showed color segregation of white flesh (BF1) and yellow flesh (HF1). Metabolome analysis revealed that the flesh color segregation in the hybrid F1 generation was related to the carotenoid content. The decrease in β-carotene and β-cryptoxanthin in BF1 flesh and increase in β-cryptoxanthin oleate, rubixanthin caprate, rubixanthin laurate and zeaxanthin dipalmitate in HF1 flesh contributed to their difference in carotenoid accumulation. Transcriptome analysis demonstrated that compared with BF1, HF1 showed significant up-regulation and down-regulation of ZEP and CCD8 at the core-hardening stage, respectively, while significant down-regulation of NCED in the whole fruit development stage. The down-regulation of NCED might inhibit the breakdown of the violaxanthin and its upstream substances and further promote the accumulation of carotenoids, resulting in yellow flesh. Therefore, NCED may be a key gene controlling the fruit color traits of peach. In this study, targeted metabolomics and transcriptomics were used to jointly explore the mechanism controlling the fruit color of peach, which may help to identify the key genes for the differences in carotenoid accumulation and provide a reference for the breeding of yellow-fleshed peach.

Gibberellin (GA) is an important phytohormone that can participate in various developmental processes of plants. The study found that application of GA3 can induce parthenocarpy fruit and improve fruit set. However, the use of GA3 affects endogenous hormones in fruits, thereby affecting fruit quality. This study mainly investigates the effect of exogenous GA3 on endogenous hormones in sweet cherries. The anabolic pathways of each hormone were analyzed by metabolome and transcriptome to identify key metabolites and genes that affect endogenous hormones in response to exogenous GA3 application. Results showed that exogenous GA3 led to a significant increase in the content of abscisic acid (ABA) and GA and affected jasmonic acid (JA) and auxin (IAA). At the same time, the key structural genes affecting the synthesis of various hormones were preliminarily determined. Combined with transcription factor family analysis, WRKY genes were found to be more sensitive to the use of exogenous GA3, especially the genes belonging to Group III (PaWRKY16, PaWRKY21, PaWRKY38, PaWRKY52, and PaWRKY53). These transcription factors can combine with the promoters of NCED, YUCCA, and other genes to regulate the content of endogenous hormones. These findings lay the foundation for the preliminary determination of the mechanism of GA3’s effect on endogenous hormones in sweet cherry and the biological function of WRKY transcription factors.

In the production process of sweet cherry, there are unreasonable planting densities and tree shape selections. With increasing tree age, the crown of the tree continues to expand and the tree body is prone to canopy closure, which leads to the inability to efficiently use space and light energy. Low-light has become a major limiting factor in the quality of sweet cherry. Therefore, we analyzed the changes of various physiological indicators and the transcriptome of ‘Hongdeng’ sweet cherry under shading treatment in this study to investigate the effects of low-light stress on the photosynthetic characteristics of sweet cherry leaves and fruit physiology and biochemistry. The results showed that shading significantly reduces the light capture capacity of leaves, damages the photosystem, reduces carbon assimilation capacity, and consumes the majority of the captured light energy as photochemical energy, thereby restricting the growth and development of leaves and reducing the accumulation of nutrients in fruits. Shading significantly reduced fruit weight, sugar content, and vitamin C content at maturity and significantly increased acid content. Transcriptomic data demonstrated that low-light stress produces a large number of differential genes related to carbon metabolism, organic acid metabolism, and stress resistance, thereby suggesting that low-light stress may affect the expression of these related genes and inclusions in the fruit. The results of this study will provide theoretical and technical support for the physiological response mechanism of low-light tolerance in sweet cherry, the selection and breeding of low-light tolerant sweet cherry varieties, and the cultivation of sweet cherry in facilities.

Histone deacetylases (HDACs), known as histone acetylation erasers, function crucially in plant growth and development. Although there are abundant reports focusing on HDACs of Arabidopsis and illustrating their important roles, the knowledge of HDAC genes in Tartary buckwheat (Polygonales Polygonaceae Fagopyrum tataricum (L.) Gaertn) is still scarce. In the study, a total of 14 HDAC genes were identified and divided into three main groups: Reduced Potassium Dependency-3/His-52 tone Deacetylase 1 (RPD3/HDA1), Silent Information Regulator 2 (SIR2), and the plant-53 specific HD2. Domain and motif composition analysis showed there were conserved domains and motifs in members from the same subfamilies. The 14 FtHDACs were distributed asymmetrically on 7 chromosomes, with three segmental events and one tandem duplication event identified. The prediction of the cis-element in promoters suggested that FtHDACs probably acted in numerous biological processes including plant growth, development, and response to environmental signals. Furthermore, expression analysis based on RNA-seq data displayed that all FtHDAC genes were universally and distinctly expressed in diverse tissues and fruit development stages. In addition, we found divergent alterations in FtHDACs transcript abundance in response to different light conditions according to RNA-seq and RT-qPCR data, indicating that five FtHDACs might be involved in light response. Our findings could provide fundamental information for the HDAC gene family and supply several targets for future function analysis of FtHDACs related with light response of Tartary buckwheat.

Tartary buckwheat microgreens (TBM) are popular worldwide products but display an extremely short shelf life. Thus, the effects of storage temperature, packaging material, and wash treatment on the quality and shelf life were analyzed. Headspace composition, weight loss, electrolyte leakage, microbial population and sensory quality were investigated during storage. Results showed that shelf life and quality of TBM decreased with the increment of storage temperature when stored at 5–25 °C. During 5 °C storage, LDPE bags were the best packaging materials for preserving the quality of LDPE, PE and HDPE bags. On the basis of 5 °C and LDPE packages, ClO2 + citric acid wash treatment could further inhibit quality deterioration and extend the shelf life. The results demonstrated bioactive constituents and antioxidant capacity were significantly affected by storage time. The study provides insights into developing optimal packaging and storage conditions for TBM.

Sweet cherries are economically important fruit trees, and their quality changes during development need to be determined. The mechanism of fruit quality changes in sweet cherries were determined by analyzing sweet cherry fruits at 12 developmental stages. The results showed that the soluble sugar, anthocyanin content, and hormones of sweet cherries all changed drastically during the color transition. Therefore, the fruits at the beginning of color conversion, at the end of color conversion, and at the ripening state were selected for the comprehensive analysis of their metabolome and transcriptome. Different sugars, such as D-glucose, sucrose, and trehalose, were identified in the metabolome. Dihydroquercetin, delphinidin-3-glucoside, cyanidin-3-rutincoside, and other flavonoid species were also identified. D-glucose and cyanidin-3-rutinoside were among the most important components of sweet cherry soluble sugars and anthocyanins, respectively. The transcriptional analysis identified key structural genes and nine transcription factors involved in the ABA, sugar, organic acid, and anthocyanin synthesis pathways, with the following specific regulatory patterns. NAC71, WRKY57, and WRKY3 regulate fruit sugar accumulation mainly by acting on INV, SPS, and SUS. MYC2 is involved in the synthesis of anthocyanin precursors by activating PAL and C4H, whereas TCP7 mainly regulates CHI and F3H. WRKY3, NAC71, and WRKY57 have important positive regulatory significance on anthocyanin accumulation, mainly by activating the expression of DFR, ANS, and 3GT.

Diaper waste was calcined above 400°C after impregnated in the solution of nickel nitrate. The as-prepared diaper waste-derived materials were used as magnetic catalysts for the synthesis of glycerol carbonate (GC). Structure and catalytic ability investigations on the catalysts calcined at different temperatures indicated that calcination temperature was an important factor affecting the property of catalysts. It was found that the catalyst obtained at the calcination temperature of 700°C (named DW-Ni-700) showed the best performance. When DW-Ni-700 was used in the synthesis of GC, GC yield reached 93.2%, and the magnetic property of DW-Ni-700 facilitated the catalyst separation process. Meanwhile, DW-Ni-700 showed high reusability in the reaction. After four times reuse of DW-Ni-700, GC yield decreased less than 4%.

Designed micro/nanomotors are micro/nanoscale machines capable of autonomous motion in fluids, which have been emerging in recent decades owing to their great potential for biomedical and environmental applications. Among them, light-powered micro/nanomotors, in which motion is driven by light, exhibit various advantages in their precise motion manipulation and thereby a superior scope for application. This review summarizes recent advances in the design, manufacture and motion manipulation of different types of light-powered micro/nanomotors. Their structural features and motion performance are reviewed and compared. The challenges and opportunities of light-powered micro/nanomotors are also discussed. With rapidly increasing innovation, advanced, intelligent and multifunctional light-powered micro/nanomachines will certainly bring profound impacts and changes for human life in the future.
