Abstract The importance of mental health is increasingly emphasized in modern society. The assessment of mental health qualities among college and university students as the future workforce holds significant significance. Therefore, this study, aiming to streamline the process of writing quality evaluations and enhance the fairness of assessment comments, explores the use of Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) technology in deep learning to evaluate the mental health qualities of college and university students through the unique avenue of sports. Firstly, GAN and Sequence Generative Adversarial Network (SeqGAN) models are introduced. Secondly, GAN is employed to construct a model for generating evaluation texts, encompassing the construction of a generator and discriminator, along with the introduction of a reward function. Finally, the constructed model is utilized to train on evaluation texts related to the mental health qualities of college and university students engaged in sports, validating the effectiveness of the model. The results indicate: (1) The pre-training of the generator in the constructed text generation model stabilizes after the 10th epoch. In contrast, the pre-training of the discriminator gradually stabilizes after the 35th epoch, demonstrating overall good training effectiveness. (2) When the generator’s update speed surpasses that of the discriminator, the model’s loss does not converge. However, with a reduction in the ratio of rounds between the two, there is a noticeable improvement in the convergence of the model. (3) The mean score of adaptability quality is the highest among the four indicators, suggesting a strong correlation between comment generation and adaptability quality. The results validate the effectiveness of the proposed text generation model in semantic control. This study aims to advance the level of mental health education among college and university students in the sports domain, providing theoretical references for enhancing the effectiveness of quality education assessments in other subjects as well.

Abstract Background The spatial layout of large-scale functional brain networks exhibits considerable inter-individual variability, especially in the association cortex. Research has demonstrated a link between early socioeconomic status (SES) and variations in both brain structure and function, which are further associated with cognitive and mental health outcomes. However, the extent to which SES is associated with individual differences in personalized functional network topography during childhood remains largely unexplored. Methods We used a machine learning approach—spatially regularized non-negative matrix factorization (NMF)—to delineate 17 personalized functional networks in children aged 9–10 years, utilizing high-quality functional MRI data from 6001 participants in the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development study. Partial least square regression approach with repeated random twofold cross-validation was used to evaluate the association between the multivariate pattern of functional network topography and three SES factors, including family income-to-needs ratio, parental education, and neighborhood disadvantage. Results We found that individual variations in personalized functional network topography aligned with the hierarchical sensorimotor-association axis across the cortex. Furthermore, we observed that functional network topography significantly predicted the three SES factors from unseen individuals. The associations between functional topography and SES factors were also hierarchically organized along the sensorimotor-association cortical axis, exhibiting stronger positive associations in the higher-order association cortex. Additionally, we have made the personalized functional networks publicly accessible. Conclusions These results offer insights into how SES influences neurodevelopment through personalized functional neuroanatomy in childhood, highlighting the cortex-wide, hierarchically organized plasticity of the functional networks in response to diverse SES backgrounds.

Abstract Based on deep mediatization theory and artificial intelligence (AI) technology, this study explores the effective improvement of museums’ social media communication by applying Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) technology. Firstly, the social media content from four different museums is collected, a dataset containing tens of thousands of images is constructed, and a CNN-based model is designed for automatic identification and classification of image content. The model is trained and tested through a series of experiments, evaluating its performance in enhancing museums’ social media communication. Experimental results indicate that the CNN model significantly enhances user participation, access rates, retention rates, and sharing rates of content. Specifically, user participation increased from 15 to 25%, reflecting a 66.7% rise. Content coverage increased from 20 to 35%, showing a 75% increase. User retention rate rose from 10 to 20%, indicating a 100% increase. Content sharing rate increased from 5 to 15%, reflecting a 200% rise. Additionally, the study discusses the model’s performance across various museum types, batch sizes, and learning rate settings, verifying its robustness and wide applicability.

Abstract Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) is extremely pathogenic and resistant to stress There are great needs to develop methods to reduce the virus in the environment and induce plant immunity simultaneously. Here, we report a multifunctional nano-protectant to reduce the virus in the environment and induce plant immunity simultaneously. The star polycation (SPc) nanocarrier can act as an active ingredient to interact with virus coat protein via electrostatic interaction, which reduces the proportion of TMV particles to 2.9% and leads to a reduction of the amount of virus in the environment by half. SPc can act as an adjuvant to spontaneously assemble with an immune inducer lentinan (LNT) through hydrogen bonding into nanoscale (142 nm diameter) LNT/SPc complex, which improves the physicochemical property of LNT for better wetting performance on leaves and cellular uptake, and further activates plant immune responses. Finally, the LNT/SPc complex displays preventive and curative effects on TMV disease, reducing TMV-GFP relative expression by 26% in the laboratory and achieving 82% control efficacy in the field We hope the strategy reported here would be useful for control of crop virus disease.

ABSTRACTBenign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a prevalent disease among middle-aged and elderly males, but its pathogenesis remains unclear. Dysbiosis of the microbiome is increasingly recognized as a significant factor in various human diseases. Prostate tissue also contains a unique microbiome, and its dysbiosis has been proposed to contribute to prostate diseases. Here, we obtained prostate tissues and preoperative catheterized urine from 24 BPH individuals, and 8 normal prostate samples as controls, which followed strict aseptic measures. Using metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS), we found the disparities in the microbiome composition between normal and BPH tissues, with Pseudomonas significantly enriched in BPH tissues, as confirmed by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). Additionally, we showed that the prostate microbiome differed from the urine microbiome. In vitro experiments revealed that lipopolysaccharide (LPS) of Pseudomonas activated NF-κB signalling, leading to inflammation, proliferation, and EMT processes, while inhibiting apoptosis in prostatic cells. Overall, our research determines the presence of microbiome dysbiosis in BPH, and suggests that Pseudomonas, as the dominant microflora, may promote the progression of BPH through LPS activation of NF-κB signalling.

Smoking is by far one of the greatest public health threats and is recognized as an important predisposing factor for osteoporosis. Exposure to cigarette smoke (CS) has been reported to be associated with inflammation-associated diseases through the induction of pyroptosis. Nevertheless, the correlation between pyroptosis and bone loss induced by CS remains uninvestigated. Here, a mouse model of mainstream smoke exposure-induced osteoporosis was established. μCT, biomechanical testing, and immunohistochemical staining of bone tissue were used to assess the deleterious effects of CS on bone metabolism. In vitro, the effects of cigarette smoke extracts (CSE) on mouse primary bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) were tested by cell viability assays, gene and protein expression assays, and alizarin red staining. The utilization of the pyroptosis inhibitor MCC950 served to confirm the critical role of BMSCs pyroptosis in CS-induced osteoporosis. Our results indicated that exposure to mainstream smoke led to a notable decrease in the quantity of osteoblasts and hindered the process of osteogenic differentiation in mice. Additionally, there was a significant increase in the expression of pyroptosis-related proteins in the bone marrow. The inhibitory effects of CSE on cell viability and osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs were found to be dose-dependent in vitro. However, the presence of the pyroptosis inhibitor MCC950 significantly improved the impaired osteogenic differentiation and bone mineralization caused by CSE. These results highlight the crucial involvement of BMSCs pyroptosis in the development of bone loss induced by CS. In summary, the findings of this study provide novel evidence that CS exerts a detrimental effect on the process of osteogenesis in BMSCs through the induction of pyroptosis, ultimately leading to bone loss. Inhibition of pyroptosis effectively attenuated the toxicological effects of CS on BMSCs, providing a new target for preventing inflammatory osteoporosis.

With the continuous innovation of financial instruments, the financing structure presents a diversified development trend, and the proportion of direct financing in Aggregate Financing to the Real Economy (AFRE) has been increasing. We utilized monthly data from January 2002 to March 2023 to establish a time-varying spillover index model and a large TVP-VAR model in order to investigate the dynamic impact of the social financing structure on various industry sectors. The empirical results suggested that the impact of financing structure on different industry sectors varies. Direct financing had the least impact on the industry compared to on-balance-sheet financing and off-balance-sheet financing. Lagging effects had the most significant influence on all industries. Furthermore, since 2015, the impact of different industries on the proportion of direct financing has significantly changed, indicating that the impact of direct financing on different industries became apparent during the 'stock crash'. Moreover, the impact of different financing methods on the economic development of various industry sectors was susceptible to external events, and the degree of impact varied. Our results are useful in helping policy makers better understand the changes in different industries affected by the financing structure, which can inform their policy formulation.

Aging increases the risks of various diseases and the vulnerability to death. Cellular senescence is a hallmark of aging that contributes greatly to aging and aging-related diseases. This study demonstrates that extracellular vesicles from human urine-derived stem cells (USC-EVs) efficiently inhibit cellular senescence in vitro and in vivo. The intravenous injection of USC-EVs improves cognitive function, increases physical fitness and bone quality, and alleviates aging-related structural changes in different organs of senescence-accelerated mice and natural aging mice. The anti-aging effects of USC-EVs are not obviously affected by the USC donors’ ages, genders, or health status. Proteomic analysis reveals that USC-EVs are enriched with plasminogen activator urokinase (PLAU) and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases 1 (TIMP1). These two proteins contribute importantly to the anti-senescent effects of USC-EVs associated with the inhibition of matrix metalloproteinases, cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 2A (P16INK4a), and cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 1A (P21cip1). These findings suggest a great potential of autologous USC-EVs as a promising anti-aging agent by transferring PLAU and TIMP1 proteins.

Summary: Background: GST-HG171 is a potent, broad-spectrum, orally bioavailable small-molecule 3C like protease inhibitor that has demonstrated greater potency and efficacy compared to Nirmatrelvir in pre-clinical studies. We aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of orally administered GST-HG171 plus Ritonavir in patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infected with emerging XBB and non-XBB variants. Methods: This randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 2/3 trial was conducted in 47 sites in China among adult patients with mild-to-moderate COVID-19 with symptoms onset ≤72 h. Eligible patients were randomised 1:1 to receive GST-HG171 (150 mg) plus Ritonavir (100 mg) or corresponding placebo tablets twice daily for 5 days, with stratification factors including the risk level of disease progression and vaccination status. The primary efficacy endpoint was time to sustained recovery of clinical symptoms within 28 days, defined as a score of 0 for 11 COVID-19-related target symptoms for 2 consecutive days, assessed in the modified intention-to-treat (mITT) population. This trial was registered at ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT05656443) and Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (ChiCTR2200067088). Findings: Between Dec 19, 2022, and May 4, 2023, 1525 patients were screened. Among 1246 patients who underwent randomisation, most completed basic (21.2%) or booster (74.9%) COVID-19 immunization, and most had a low risk of disease progression at baseline. 610 of 617 who received GST-HG171 plus Ritonavir and 603 of 610 who received placebo were included in the mITT population. Patients who received GST-HG171 plus Ritonavir showed shortened median time to sustained recovery of clinical symptoms compared to the placebo group (13.0 days [95.45% confidence interval 12.0–15.0] vs. 15.0 days [14.0–15.0], P = 0.031). Consistent results were observed in both SARS-CoV-2 XBB (45.7%, 481/1053 of mITT population) and non-XBB variants (54.3%, 572/1053 of mITT population) subgroups. Incidence of adverse events was similar in the GST-HG171 plus Ritonavir (320/617, 51.9%) and placebo group (298/610, 48.9%). The most common adverse events in both placebo and treatment groups were hypertriglyceridaemia (10.0% vs. 14.7%). No deaths occurred. Interpretation: Treatment with GST-HG171 plus Ritonavir has demonstrated benefits in symptom recovery and viral clearance among low-risk vaccinated adult patients with COVID-19, without apparent safety concerns. As most patients were treated within 2 days after symptom onset in our study, confirming the potential benefits of symptom recovery for patients with a longer duration between symptom onset and treatment initiation will require real-world studies. Childhood environments are critical in shaping cognitive neurodevelopment. With the increasing availability of large-scale neuroimaging datasets with deep phenotyping of childhood environments, we can now build upon prior studies that have considered relationships between one or a handful of environmental and neuroimaging features at a time. Here, we characterize the combined effects of hundreds of inter-connected and co-occurring features of a child’s environment (“exposome”) and investigate associations with each child’s unique, multidimensional pattern of functional brain network organization (“functional topography”) and cognition. We apply data-driven computational models to measure the exposome and define personalized functional brain networks in pre-registered analyses. Across matched discovery (n=5139, 48.5% female) and replication (n=5137, 47.1% female) samples from the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development study, the exposome was associated with current (ages 9–10) and future (ages 11–12) cognition. Changes in the exposome were also associated with changes in cognition after accounting for baseline scores. Cross-validated ridge regressions revealed that the exposome is reflected in functional topography and can predict performance across cognitive domains. Importantly, a single measure capturing a child’s exposome could more accurately and parsimoniously predict cognition than a wealth of personalized neuroimaging data, highlighting the importance of children’s complex, multidimensional environments in cognitive neurodevelopment.

Abstract Individual differences in cognition during childhood are associated with important social, physical, and mental health outcomes in adolescence and adulthood. Given that cortical surface arealization during development reflects the brain’s functional prioritization, quantifying variation in the topography of functional brain networks across the developing cortex may provide insight regarding individual differences in cognition. We test this idea by defining personalized functional networks (PFNs) that account for interindividual heterogeneity in functional brain network topography in 9–10 year olds from the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development℠ Study. Across matched discovery (n = 3525) and replication (n = 3447) samples, the total cortical representation of fronto-parietal PFNs positively correlates with general cognition. Cross-validated ridge regressions trained on PFN topography predict cognition in unseen data across domains, with prediction accuracy increasing along the cortex’s sensorimotor-association organizational axis. These results establish that functional network topography heterogeneity is associated with individual differences in cognition before the critical transition into adolescence.

This paper proposes a new hybrid hierarchical roadside unit (RSU) deployment algorithm that combines traditional RSU deployment strategies with temporary RSUs (t-RSUs) selected from many parked vehicles. The driving vehicles in the corresponding RSU coverage section are divided into clusters and the demand is thus summarized. We first solve the problem of how to choose the appropriate cars serving as t-RSUs and then optimize the RSU deployment with the dynamic existing t-RSUs. We simulate the deployment application in a downtown area of Shanghai, China, using the simulation of urban mobility (SUMO), version 1.11.0, an open-source traffic simulation package, and its traffic-control interface (TraCI) with Python. The simulation results show that, within a given economic cost, the proposed hybrid hierarchical RSU deployment algorithm outperforms the maximum vehicle coverage deployment algorithm (MVCD) and the random deployment algorithm (RandDeploy) in terms of overall vehicle coverage and point-to-point vehicle connectivity ratio. Our scheme provides new solutions and ideas for the deployment of RSUs in future urban traffic environments.

Glass-fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP)–steel composite bar, a novel building material, is a promising longitudinal reinforcement for marine engineering in harsh environments. Previous research has primarily focused on altering individual parameters to assess their influence on the performance of composite bars, lacking a systematic and in-depth exploration. In this paper, the tensile properties of composite bars have been investigated by adequate experimental testing considering the type of inner steel bar and the thickness of the GFRP layer. Results show that although composite bars undergo elasticity, hardening, and failure stages under tensile loading, due to differences in interfacial bonding forces, the ultimate failure mode for composite bars with HPB300 inner steel bars is relative slippage, while for those with HRB400 inner steel bars, it is fracturing. While ensuring that composite bars have good initial elastic modulus and durability, it is preferable for the thickness of the external GFRP layer to be as small as possible. However, the thickness of the external GFRP layer of composite bars should not be less than 2 mm to prevent misalignment of the inner steel bars, which can negatively impact the tangent modulus during the hardening stage and the ultimate tensile strength. Furthermore, a stress–strain constitutive model for this composite bar was developed and validated. This model offers a universal framework for accurately representing the mechanical properties of the material across a wide range of research parameters.

Abstract The seed oil of Echium plantagineum L. is rich in unsaturated fatty acids. With the gradual development of the value of echium oil in food, medical care and cosmetics, the corresponding market demand has also increased. The selection of suitable cultivars and the increase of yield per unit area has also become one of the main objectives of current breeding and cultivation of E. plantagineum. To effectively use the local photothermal resources, to improve the use of light energy by E. plantagineum, and to enhance the growth and yield of E. plantagineum. E. plantagineum cultivars Blue Bedder and Mixed Bedding were used as research subjects to study the effects of different sowing dates (1 May, 8 May, 15 May, 22 May and 29 May) on the photosynthetic characteristics and yield of E. plantagineum. Under the same cultivar conditions, with the delay in sowing date, the leaf chlorophyll content (SPAD), photosynthetic rate (Pn), transpiration rate (Tr), stomatal limitation value (Ls), photochemical quenching (qP), electron transfer rate (ETR), actual photochemical efficiency (ΦpsII) and yield of Blue Bedder decreased and reached a maximum at T1, while the SPAD, Pn, Tr, water use efficiency (WUE), Ls, initial fluorescence (Fo), maximum fluorescence (Fm), qP, ETR, ΦpsII and yield of Mixed Bedding reached the maximum at T4. Blue Bedder should be sown early at T1 and Mixed Bedding late at T4 during planting, which will help to improve the photosynthetic characteristics and grain yield of E. plantagineum.

ObjectiveDuring laparoscopic radical resection for proctosigmoid colon cancer (PCC), surgeons could inadvertently damage the arteries when following the operation path.This study investigated the variations in left colon blood vessels in order to guide the scientific protection of the marginal artery (MA) during laparoscopic surgery for PCC.MethodsData from seven patients who underwent inferior mesenteric artery (IMA) angiography were included as imaging references to preliminarily explore the vascular structure and variation in the left colon. The clinical video data of 183 PCC patients were retrospectively analyzed to observe intraoperative MA injury. Meanwhile, a prospective cohort of 96 patients with the same disease underwent intraoperative indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence imaging of the peripheral sigmoid artery network, the variation of marginal arteries was summarized, and the distance between vessels and the bowel was measured at different levels. Patients were divided into ‘ICG group’ and ‘non-ICG group’ according to whether ICG guidance was performed, and perioperative conditions were compared between the two groups. Taking the integrity of lymph node dissection into consideration, 18 patients underwent carbon nanonode tracing. This study was conducted under the standard consent and ethical approval of the Ethics Committee of our center.Results7 patients with IMA angiography shared some vascular structures, defined as ‘Dangerous Triangle’ and ‘Secure Window’. Through intraoperative observation, the primary arch was typically located 4.2 (2.3-6.0) cm away from the intestinal canal, and 5.21% (5/96) patients had poor anastomosis at the primary arch. Moreover, secondary vascular arches (6.4 (4.6-10.0) cm from the intestinal wall) were observed in 38.54% of patients. MA injury was identified in 2 of 183 cases, and the ischemic bowel was timely dissected, whereas no such injury occurred during ICG fluorescenceguided surgery. Guided by carbon nanoparticles, the integrity of lymph node dissection can be maintained while preserving the secondary arch in all patients.ConclusionsThis study demonstrated the benefits of ICG guidance in protecting the intestinal blood supply in laparoscopic PCC surgery. By enhancing the understanding of primary and secondary vascular arches, secure windows, and dangerous triangles, surgeons can safely optimize the surgical path during surgery.

As financial conditions become more complex and variable, capturing economic patterns becomes harder. The Financial Conditions Index (FCI) has gained traction as a tool to assess the performance of financial markets in nations or regions. This paragraph has created the China FCI using various financial indicators from 2002 to 2022. And with the use of statistical models like DMA-TVP-FAVAR, mixed-frequency Granger causality test, TVP-SV-VAR, and MS-VAR to analyze the relationship between China's financial condition, real economy, and the crude oil market. Different impacts were observed over time and in response to economic shocks, Results show that the fluctuation of international oil price has a negative impact on our financial condition. Therefore, the government should consider the impact of external shock factors such as international crude oil price when formulating financial policies to prevent financial risks.

Epoxy coated steel strand (ECSS) has good durability and anti-corrosion capacity. It is expected to be used in cable-stayed bridges which needs to be designed for a life of 100 years or more. Based on the finite element method, the impact resistance of ECSS was studied by numerically simulation. The friction coefficient between the wires of ECSS was calculated through bond stress test and theoretical analysis. The finite element simulation of the specimen with the same size as that in the experiment was carried out to study the failure and damage fracture evolution law. The effects of impact velocity, friction coefficient between the wires and other parameters on the dynamic properties of ECSS were also analyzed. By comparing the test data with the simulation results, the evolution law of the impact resistance of ECSS under different working conditions was revealed. Main conclusions: the friction coefficient of ECSS between the wires was 0.48, and the contact load between the wires was basically linear with its length; In the range of 7D-14D lay length, the mutual work behaviors between the wires was better when the lay length was larger. When the applied prestress was less than 0.15fu, itwas beneficial to improve impact resistance. The increase of the friction coefficient between the wires will reduce the impact failure time and have an adverse effect on its overall impact resistance capacity.

As an environmentally friendly construction material, recycled rubber concrete (RRC) is commonly used as a road material owing to its excellent flexural strength and crack resistance. Previous studies have shown that the addition of fibres is an effective method for improving the crack resistance of concrete. The purpose of this study is to investigate the fracture performance of RRC reinforced with steel fibres (SFs) and glass fibres (GFs). A total of 28 RRC mixtures were prepared. The results of the fracture test showed that the addition of SFs and GFs significantly enhanced the RRC fracture performance. The maximum increases or decreases in flexural strength, brittleness coefficient, fracture energy, initial fracture toughness, and unstable fracture toughness were 64.9, −34.6, 775.6, 92.0, and 118.4%, respectively. The ideal GF content is usually in the range of 0.4–0.6% and decreases with increasing SF content. In addition, scanning electron microscope (SEM) tests were conducted to explore the mechanism of the effect of hybrid fibres on RRC at a microscopic level. The results show that SFs were always pulled out, while GFs were pulled apart at the initial defects. At the same time, excessive GFs caused more initial defects. These results are expected to provide theoretical direction and experimental support for the practical application of hybrid fibre-reinforced recycled rubber concrete (HFRRRC).

BackgroundFerroptosis is involved in many malignant tumors and has been implicated in important mechanisms of colorectal cancer (CRC) suppression. However, the prognostic and predictive values of the ferroptosis activation pattern in CRC patients have not been noted. Here, we aimed to construct and validate a prediction model based on ferroptosis-related genes (FRGs) for CRC patients and investigated the expression pattern and biological function of the most significantly altered gene.MethodsA total of 112 FRGs were obtained from the FerrDb website, and the clinical characteristics of 545 CRC patients and their global gene expression profiles were downloaded from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. Survival-related FRGs were identified by Cox proportional hazards regression analysis. Finally, the expression pattern and biological function of NOS2, the most implicated gene was explored in vitro and in vivo.ResultsThe prediction model was established based on 8 FRGs. To learn multiscale functional connectivity patterns of the aging brain, we built a brain age prediction model of functional connectivity measures at seven scales on a large fMRI dataset, consisting of resting-state fMRI scans of 4186 individuals with a wide age range (22 to 97 years, with an average of 63) from five cohorts. We computed multiscale functional connectivity measures of individual subjects using a personalized functional network computational method, harmonized the functional connectivity measures of subjects from multiple datasets in order to build a functional brain age model, and finally evaluated how functional brain age gap correlated with cognitive measures of individual subjects. Our study has revealed that functional connectivity measures at multiple scales were more informative than those at any single scale for the brain age prediction, the data harmonization significantly improved the brain age prediction performance, and the data harmonization in the functional connectivity measures' tangent space worked better than in their original space. Moreover, brain age gap scores of individual subjects derived from the brain age prediction model were significantly correlated with clinical and cognitive measures. Overall, these results demonstrated that multiscale functional connectivity patterns learned from a large-scale multi-site rsfMRI dataset were informative for characterizing the aging brain and the derived brain age gap was associated with cognitive and clinical measures.

Studies of brain network development typically focus on a single scale. Here, the authors derived personalized functional networks across scales, and find that network development systematically adheres to and strengthens hierarchical cortical organization.

The ternary composite MgO@ZnO@BC was synthesized and characterized for the adsorption of Cu2+, Pb2+ heavy metal ions from wastewater. The results show that the addition of the MgO@ZnO@BC composite results in higher adsorption properties for Cu2+ and Pb2+, with a molar ratio of 5% 0.1 g, and maximum adsorption capacity (50.63 mg/g for Cu2+ and 61.46 mg/g for Pb2+). The Langmuir adsorption isotherm of the adsorption complex and the kinetics of adsorption are secondary kinetics. The adsorption of Cu2+ and Pb2+ was mainly chemisorption, accompanied by physical adsorption. This adsorption method fully conforms to the concepts of clean production and efficient waste utilization, providing a reference for the removal of heavy metal ions from wastewater and waste recycling using ternary composite materials.

BackgroundIn patients with peptic ulcer bleeding (PUB) , intragastric blood and unavoidable medicine, including acid suppressive agent are suspected as limitary factors to diagnose Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori) infection correctly. The research conclusions about the accuracy of urease breath test (UBT) and stool antigen test (SAT) in patients with PUB are inconsistent.ObjectiveTo clarify the accuracy of UBT and SAT for H.pylori infection in PUB patients.MethodsPubMed, EMBase, the Cochrane Library, Web of Science, CNKI, Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform, China Biomedical Literature Database (CBM) were retrieved by computer for relevant articles related to the diagnosis of H.pylori infection by UBT and/or SAT published from the establishment of the database to March 31, 2021. The QUADAS-2 tool was used to evaluate the quality of the extracted literature. The bivariate mixed-effects regression model and network meta-analysis model (NMA) were used to synthesize diagnostic test data. Meta-regression and subgroup analysis were performed to explore the sources of heterogeneity.ResultsA total of 18 articles were included, with a total of 25 studies and 1 105 patients. Meta-analysis results showed that the combined sensitivity of UBT and SAT for diagnosing H.pylori infection in PUB patients were 0.90〔95%CI (0.79, 0.95) 〕 and 0.89〔95%CI (0.81, 0.94) 〕, the combined specificity were 0.91〔95%CI (0.86, 0.95) 〕 and 0.75〔95%CI (0.59, 0.87) 〕, the combined diagnostic odds ratio were 88.89〔95%CI (31.01, 254.82) 〕 and 24.35〔95%CI (13.76, 43.09) 〕, the combined positive likelihood ratio were 10.07〔95%CI (6.07, 16.71) 〕 and 3.60〔95%CI (2.11, 6.12) 〕, the combined negative likelihood ratio were 0.11〔95%CI (0.05, 0.24) 〕 and 0.15〔95%CI (0.09, 0.24) 〕, the area under the SROC curve were 0.93〔95%CI (0.90, 0.95) 〕 and 0.91〔95%CI (0.88, 0.93) 〕. Meta regression showed that the sampling time had an impact on the sensitivity heterogeneity of UBT and SAT, and the sampling time and the H.pylori infection criterion had an impact on the combined specificity heterogeneity of UBT. The Deek funnel chart indicated that there was no potential publication bias among the included researches (PUBT=0.53, PSAT=0.64) .ConclusionIn patients with PUB, UBT had a promising performance for the diagnosis of H.pylori infection. Because of the high number of false-positive results, SAT was not recommended for use in patients with PUB alone. At the same time, in order to avoid the impact of PPI on the detection results, it was recommended to perform the diagnostic tests as soon as possible under the condition of stable hemodynamics.

AimThis study investigates the clinicopathological features and prognostic genic biomarker factors of primary retroperitoneal extra-gastrointestinal stromal tumors (EGISTs).MethodsThe clinicopathological data of six patients with primary retroperitoneal EGIST were analyzed, including cell type (epithelioid or spindle), mitoses, and the presence of intratumoral necrosis and hemorrhage. Mitoses were counted and summed from 50 high power fields (HPFs). Mutations of exons 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, and 17 of the C-kit genes and those of exons 12 and 18 of the PDGFRA gene were examined. Follow-up was performed via telephone, and all outpatient records were reviewed. The last follow-up date was February 2022, the median follow-up was 27.5m and the postoperative status, medication, and survival of the patients were recorded.ResultThe patients were treated with radical intent. Four cases (patients 3, 4, 5, and 6) underwent multivisceral resection for encroachment on the adjacent viscera. The postoperative pathological results demonstrated that all biopsy specimens were negative for S-100 and desmin, and positive for DOG1 and CD117. Additionally, four patients (case 1, 2, 4, and 5) were positive for CD34, four (case 1, 3, 5, and 6) were positive for SMA, four (case 1, 4, 5, and 6) had >5/50 HPFs, and three (case 1, 4, and 5) had Ki67 >5%. According to the modified National Institutes of Health (NIH) guidelines, all patients were graded as high-risk cases. By exome sequencing, exon11 mutations were detected in the six patients, while exon10 mutations were detected in two cases (patients 4 and 5). The median follow-up time was 30.5 (11–109) months, with only one fatality at 11 months.ConclusionRetroperitoneal EGIST is a rare mesenchymal tumor that is difficult to distinguish from other retroperitoneal tumors. To diagnose this highly malignant tumor, low-threshold suspicion is necessary, and Kit and PDGFRA gene mutations should be routinely tested to confirm the diagnosis and guide subsequent treatment.

Landslides are frequent in the Nanpeng River fault zone in southwest Yunnan. Based on a Zhen Qing Expressway survey, the geological conditions and characteristics of landslides in this area were studied. The conclusions are as follows: 1) the geological background was the internal cause of local highly steep slopes and broken rock masses. The main landslide types in study area are fault-type and accumulation landslides. 2) The formation of fault-type landslides is related to endogenous causes, such as tectonic movements, but they are less easily triggered than accumulation landslides. Accumulation landslides are related to broken rock masses and are sensitive to external factors such as rainfall and artificial unloading. 3) The coordinated control of permanent support engineering, local deformation control, and overall support reinforcement should be considered as preventive measures.
