The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Pt(C23H17N2)Cl], contains two independent molecules with distinct dihedral angles between the central pyridyl and methylbenzene rings [7.77 (2) and 24.07 (2)°]. Short intermolecular distances [3.582 (6) and 3.600 (6) Å] between the outer pyridine and the PtNC3 and PtN2C2 rings, respectively, indicate the existence of π–π interactions, which link the molecules into stacks along the a axis. The crystal structure is further stabilized by weak C—H...π interactions.

With the increasing demands for long-distance single-headed tunnels, trackless vehicles have been widely accepted for transporting construction materials from storage yard to working face. During the trackless transportation of construction materials, the synchronization of material supply and shield tunneling is critical to ensure tunneling efficiency. However, there is still a lack of a reliable synchronous transportation model for trackless vehicle dispatching. In the present study, the material transportation processes and vehicle transportation parameters have been investigated based on the Sutong GIL Yangtze River Crossing Cable Tunnel. The synchronous transportation model has been established to improve transportation efficiency during the construction stage. An optimized scheme of vehicle schedule has been proposed to minimize trackless vehicle and retention time. Comparative analysis has been carried out to evaluate the trackless vehicle and retention time between the optimized scheme and the original scheme. The results indicate that the number of dual-headed trucks required for material transportation decreases from nine to six, and the maximum retention time decreases from 166 to 35 min. Compared with the original scheme, the optimized scheme is available for reducing the number of trackless vehicles and improving the efficiency of material transportation. The present study contributes to optimizing material transport scheduling and synchronizing material supply with tunnel excavation in long-distance single-headed shield tunnels.

We propose an F-band phase shifter based on the nematic liquid crystals (NLCs). The proposed phase shifter is formed by a voltage-controlled cavity through introducing an NLC layer between a dipole structure array and a metal floor. Under the action of electric field, the orientation of the NLC molecules will be deflected. We adjust the resonant frequency and phase of the reflected electromagnetic (EM) wave by tuning the permittivity. The transmission characteristics and the LC parameters are calculated and analyzed for EM waves within the frequency range from 85 to 115 GHz. The LC-based device with a $30\times 30$ array of two parallel unequal dipoles is printed on a quartz substrate, with 4 cm $\times {4}$ cm area and $490~\mu \text{m}$ thickness. The experimental results show that phase shift of zero to 350.7° is achieved at 104.2 GHz by changing the applied bias voltage on the LC layer from 0 to 20 V. Considering the anisotropy and inhomogeneity of the LC, an improved electrification model is established and compared with the test results. The proposed phase shifter is expected to find several applications in millimeter wave and terahertz reconfigurable antenna systems.

Some typical components of the Jehol Biota, including conchostracans Eosestheria sp., the mayfly Ephemeropsis trisetalis Eichwald, 1864 , the aquatic beetle Coptoclava longipoda Ping, 1928 , and a fragmentary dragonfly, are reported for the first time from the Bayingebi Formation in the Celaomiao region, western Inner Mongolia, China. This discovery indicates that the middle Upper Member of Bayingebi Formation can be correlated with the upper Yixian and the lower Jiufotang formations in western Liaoning Province. Combining it with the radio-isotopic dating result, we further believed that the Upper Member of Bayingebi Formation could be roughly correlated with the Yixian, Jiufotang, and Shahai formations, and the overlying Suhongtu Formation with the Fuxin Formation in western Liaoning Province. In the major Bayingebi Basin, palaeontological and radio-isotopic dating evidence shows that the Bayingebi Formation has a long depositional history of over 30 Ma: its Upper Member bearing the Jehol Biota and the early Fuxin Biota is probably coeval to the Yixian, Jiufotang and Shahai formations and has a Barremian–early Albian age; its Lower Member may be Berriasian–Hauterivian in age and could be correlated with the upper Tuchengzi, Zhangjiakou, and Dabeigou formations in northern Hebei Province. This suggests that the Bayingebi Formation should be promoted to the stratigraphic rank of group and subdivided into several secondary units (formations). Unlike the previous result, the Yingen Formation is considered across the Lower Cretaceous–Upper Cretaceous boundary and being late Albian–early Turonian in age.

Widespread Late Mesozoic igneous events in northern China have been intensively investigated over the past decades and provide evidence for regional lithospheric thinning. The underlying mechanism causing lithospheric thinning remains unclear however. This study reports U–Pb zircon ages, geochemical data and isotopic ratios for Cretaceous igneous units from the central Sulu orogenic belt as it occurs in the Shandong Peninsula. LA-ICP-MS U–Pb analyses of magmatic zircons identified a relatively restricted population of ages ranging from 123 ± 2 Ma to 120 ± 2 Ma from four representative samples of igneous units in the study area. Geochemical analysis of the samples revealed LREE and LILE enrichment, HREE depletion, high initial 87 Sr/ 86 Sr values ranging from 0.7040 to 0.7096, and low negative e Nd ( t ) values from −22.0 to −12.2. The data suggest lamprophyres derived separately from heterogeneous mantle inputs, which experienced crust–mantle interaction, andesitic porphyrites and syenogranites derived from enriched lithospheric mantle and rhyolites derived from partial melting of an ancient crustal component. Assimilation and fractionation processes did not contribute to lamprophyre formation, but did play an important role in generating andesitic porphyrites, syenogranites and rhyolites. The petrogenetic history of these rocks indicates intensive lithospheric thinning of the upper mantle and lower crust beneath the Sulu orogenic belt at 123–120 Ma. Given the timing and regional tectonic framework in which these units formed, thinning was likely caused by an abrupt change in the direction of the subducting Pacific plate.

In order to clarify sedimentary environment and tectonic history of the Sulu orogenic belt, we date zircons from four sandstones and one interbedded rhyolite collected on Lingshan Island in East Shandong, North China. U–Pb age distributions of detrital zircon populations from the newly named Lingshandao Formation resemble that of overlying fluvial sedimentary rocks. Age distributions exhibit four main populations of Paleoproterozoic (2.5–2.3 Ga), Mesoproterozoic (2.1–1.9 Ga), Neoproterozoic (850–700 Ma) and Early Cretaceous (138–121 Ma) age, accompanied by sporadic occurrences of Archean, Paleozoic and early Mesozoic aged grains. Data indicate a depositional age of ∼121 Ma for the Lingshandao Formation, which constrains the maximum depositional age of overlying fluvial sedimentary rocks. The Lingshandao Formation thus more likely correlates to the uppermost Laiyang Group of the Jiaolai basin. Proterozoic age populations indicate a mixture of material derived from the North China (NCB) and Yangtze Block (YZB) basement along with protolith material from the HP–UHP metamorphic units of the Sulu orogenic belt. Proterozoic age populations differ from those of the roughly coeval Jiaolai basin, which represents a terrestrial depositional environment to the north of the Sulu terrane. The YZB appears to be a significant source of detrital zircons, consistent with field observations.

The dynamic rheological behaviors are measured by small amplitude oscillatory shear on a rotational rheometer for a low-density polyethylene (LDPE)/polystyrene (PS)/styrene–butadiene–styrene (SBS) block copolymer blend with the tool of cole–cole plot. The morphology of the blend is measured by scanning electron microscope (SEM) micrograph, the storage moduli–angular frequency (G′–ω) data are fit by the Palierne model, and the relaxation time spectrum is investigated. The storage modulus and loss modulus of the LDPE/PS/SBS blend at low frequency increase when the weight ratio LDPE/PS increases from 10/90, reaches a maximum of 30/70, and drops thereafter. The cole–cole plots of some blends (10/90/3, 70/30/3, 90/10/3 and 100/0/3) have only one main arc due to compatibilizing effect of the SBS, and those of other blends (0/100/3, 30/70/3 and 50/50/3) have a second arc or a long tail besides the main arc probably due to phase separation. The SEM micrographs of the LDPE/PS/SBS = 10/90/3, 30/70/3, 50/50/3 show sea-island, semi-co-continuous and co-continuous structure, respectively. G′–ω curve of two LDPE/PS/SBS = 30/70/3 and 50/50/3 blends shows a power law, and the power index is much lower than one (0.748 and 0.817), respectively, showing a co-continuous morphology also verified by the SEM micrographs. The experimental data of G′–ω curve of the LDPE/PS/SBS blends are fit by Palierne model, the deviation between the fit line and the experimental data increases gradually as the LDPE/PS weight ratio decreases from 90/10 to 10/90. For the LDPE/PS/SBS blends, the weighted relaxation spectra τH (τ)–τ show a main as well as a second arc or tail; the former corresponding to the relaxation of PS phase and the latter corresponding to that of LDPE phase. Due to the compatibilizing effect of SBS the relaxation time and spectrum strength of LDPE/PS = 50/50 (wt) blends are both increased.

The sulfur retention mechanism of bio-briquette combustion is analyzed in the paper. The experimental research is carried out on the influence factors of biomass content, with inclusion of combustion temperature, Ca/S ratio, sulfur retention additives. The results indicate that when Ca/S ratio is equal to 2 and the combustion temperature is 850°C,the sulfur retention efficiency of low sulfur bio-briquette exceeds 60%.The rising trend becomes slow when Ca/S ratio is higher than 2.The sulfur retention effect will be reduced over 950°C. Using Fe2O3 as sulfur retention additive can significantly improve the sulfur retention capability of bio-briquette.

The velocity and sludge distribution in the aerobic tank of step-feed A/O process were simulated by the two-phase flow model. The aeration process was simulated by the discrete phase model and the influence of the aeration on the sludge distribution was studied. The space distribution of the wastewater-sludge-bubble in the aerobic tank was determined. The results showed that the sludge age is hard to be control led as the eddies in the aerobic tank have a strong influence on the sludge retention time. The impact of the aeration on the mean sludge concentration is neglectable. The uniformity of sludge distribution along the vertical direction and the sludge sedimentation on the bottom layer are improved by the process of aeration. The results have great theoretical significance and guidance for the optimal design of the aerobic tank of step-feed A/O process.

The feasibility of the rigid-lip hypothesis was studied in the flow field simulation of the reaction tank in the step-feed A/O process. Two models were built. One model applied the rigid-lip hypothesis was called as rigid-lid model and the other was called free surface model. The results showed that the velocity distribution of the rigid-lid model is basically consistent with that of the free-surface model. On the vertical monitor sections, the error of the mean velocity between the two models is less than 8%. The results showed that the much less expensive rigid-lid model is applicable to simulate the flow field of reaction tank.

The performances of two species of biomass reburning processes and the effect of operating parameters on NOX removal efficiency were studied using the reburning boiler burner simulator facility. The results of the study show that there is an optimal range of denitrification for direct reburning condition in reburning reaction temperature, the stoichiometric ratio(SR),the reburning ratio, article size of biomass, the concentration of NOX in the main combustion zone. The smaller the particle size of biomass, NOX removal effect is more obvious. The best biomass denitration temperature range is 950-1050 °C and the stoichiometric ratio has a best value in different experimental conditions. When reburning ratio is in the range of 10% -15%, the particle size has greater impact on the rate of denitrification. It is beneficial for NOX removal when NOX concentration in the main combustion zone is greater than 200ppm.

Essential oil from fresh ginger was extracted by steam distillation. Microencapsulation of volatile ginger oil was done by spray-drying using maltodextrin and whey protein isolate as wall materials. An orthogonal design was used to evaluate the influence of the capsule wall materials on the oil retention (OR) and microencapsulation efficiency (MEE) of ginger oil by spray-drying. The best conditions for higher MEE and OR were found to be a 1:1 ratio of whey protein isolate to maltodextrin, a 1:4 ratio of core to wall material, and total solid content of 25%. The spray-drying conditions used were homogenizer pressure at 30 MPa, inlet air temperature at 120°C, and outlet air temperature of 60°C. MEE and OR were 99.36% and 93.30%, respectively. Scanning electron microscopy showed that the microcapsules were free of visible cracks and pores. Gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry showed only slight loss during spray-drying.

The Late Mesozoic Jiaolai basin preserves sediment source information that can help elucidate the tectonic history of East Shandong, China. The terrestrial Wangshi and Laiyang Groups are major components of the basin succession, but are not well studied in terms of their provenance and role in basin evolution. The Early Cretaceous Laiyang Group consists primarily of fluvial and lacustrine facies siltstones and sandstones, whereas the Late Cretaceous Wangshi Group consists of reddish fluvial siltstones and sandstones with interbedded conglomerates. This study reports detrital zircon age distributions from eight sandstones collected from the two groups. Age distributions exhibited four major populations of Palaeoproterozoic (2.5–2.4 Ga), Palaeoproterozoic (1.9–1.8 Ga), Neoproterozoic (850–700 Ma), and Jurassic to Early Cretaceous (171–107 Ma) ages. We interpret a maximum depositional age of 107 Ma for the Wangshi Group and a depositional age of 121–120 Ma for the upper Laiyang Group. Age distributions indicate that the Sulu orogenic belt of the East Shandong complex served as the primary source area. Detrital zircon age data also indicate major changes in the types of source material contributed to the Laiyang and Wangshi groups. Based on these shifts, we propose a four-stage model for Early Cretaceous evolution of the Jiaolai basin. In this model, subduction of the Pacific plate and associated transform motion on the Tan-Lu fault influenced the transition from a transpressional to an extensional tectonic setting.

- Abstract
In-doped ZnO nanopowders were prepared by precipitation. The influence of the processing parameters, such as In doping concentration, calcination temperature, reactant ratio and type of precipitant on the grain size, structure and photolumines cence (PL) of In/ZnO nanopowders was detailed analyzed by using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and photoluminescence spectrum. The experimental results indicated that with the increase in the In doping level (the molar ratio of In3+ /Zn2+ increased from 0%. to 5%), the crystallization and the UV emission of ZnO nanopowders were reduced because of the increase of impurity defects. And the UV emission band would have a red-shift from 389 to 419 nm, which could be resulted from the effects of merging of donor and conduction bands, and potential fluctuations of impurity energy level. The calcination temperature will play an important role in synthesis of luminescence materials. When the calcination temperature was raised from 500 to 600 degrees C, the grain size of In/ZnO nanopowder increased gradually, and the dominated UV emission band was improved due to the enhanced crystallization of the nanopowder. If the temperature was raised up to 800 degrees C, the crystallization of the sample was further improved, leading to an enhanced intensity of UV emission Additionally, near this temperature, the oxygen vacancy is easier to be produced owing to the improvement of the kinetic energy for the ions in lattice, which induces in the enhancement of the green emission band peaking at 525 nrn. For the temperature up to 1,000 degrees C, the UV emission band was suppressed due to the production of excessive oxygen vacancy, and the In/ZnO nanopowder exhibited a dominated green emission. The luminescence performance of the In/ZnO nanopowder is also much affected by the reactant ratio. The reaction rate is improved by the increase of the NH4 HCO3 / Zn(NO3)2 molar ratio, which will decrease both grain size of In/ZnO nanopowder and emission intensity of UV band. Furthermore, the effect of the precipitant on the luminescence was examined. It is obviously that the NH4 HCO3 and NaOH precipitants will remarkably affect the crystallization of the precursor powder, but nearly have no effect on the luminescence property of the final nanopowder products.

The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of chitosan (CH) film incorporated with tea polyphenol (TP) on quality and shelf life of pork meat patties stored at 4±1 °C for 12 days. The microbiological, physicochemical (pH, thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances (TBARS) values, and metmyoglobin (MetMb)), and sensory qualities were measured on all the samples. A microbiological shelf-life extension of 6 days was achieved for CH and CH-TP treatment groups when compared to the control group. Wrapping with CH-TP composite film tended to retard the increases in TBARS values and MetMb content. CH-TP composite film maintained acceptable sensory quality of pork meat patties throughout the storage. The results indicated that CH-TP composite film could be a promising material as a packaging film for extending the shelf life of pork meat patties.

In the title coordination polymer, [CuI(C(14)H(18)N(4)S(2))](n), the Cu(I) center is trigonally coordinated by two pyrimidine N-atom donors from two distinct dithio-ether ligands and one iodide anion. The Cu and I atoms are located on a twofold axis, whereas the midpoint of the central C-C bond of the dithio-ether ligand is located on an inversion center. Each organic ligand, acting in a bidentate mode, bridges two Cu(I )ions, resulting in the formation of polymeric zigzag chains. The dihedral angle between the two pyrimidine units bonded to the metal center is 88.01 (2)°. The crystal packing is mainly stabilized by van der Waals forces and π-π stacking inter-actions, with an inter-planar distance between the pyrimidine rings of adjacent chains of 3.638 (3) Å.

Metal-Organic Papers - Abstract
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Pt(C(23)H(17)N(2))Cl], contains two independent mol-ecules with distinct dihedral angles between the central pyridyl and methylbenzene rings [7.77 (2) and 24.07 (2)°]. Short inter-molecular distances [3.582 (6) and 3.600 (6) Å] between the outer pyridine and the PtNC(3) and PtN(2)C(2) rings, respectively, indicate the existence of π-π inter-actions, which link the mol-ecules into stacks along the a axis. The crystal structure is further stabilized by weak C-H⋯π inter-actions.
