Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are the cell-secreted nano- and micro-sized particles consisted of lipid bilayer containing nucleic acids and proteins for diagnosis and therapeutic applications. The inherent complexity of EVs is a source of heterogeneity in various potential applications of the biological nanovesicles including analysis. To diminish heterogeneity, EV should be isolated and separated according to their sizes and cargos. However, current technologies do not meet the requirements. We showed noninvasive and precise separation of EVs based on their sizes without any recognizable damages. We separated atto-liter volumes of biological nanoparticles through operation of the present system showing relatively large volume of sample treatment to milliliters within an hour. We observed distinct size and morphological differences of 30 to 100 nm of exosomes and apoptotic bodies through TEM analysis. Indeed, we confirmed the biological moiety variations through immunoblotting with noninvasively separated EVs opening new windows in study and application of the biological nanoparticles.

Hydrogen production through electrochemical water splitting has gained significant attention owing to its environmental benefits over traditional methods. However, designing an efficient electrocatalyst for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in an alkaline electrolyte remains a significant challenge. In this study, colloidal Pd‐doped Ni2P nanoparticles were prepared via a thermal decomposition‐based strategy and used as electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction. The Pd dopant is atomically dispersed within the Ni2P nanoparticles, regulating their electronic structure and providing an efficient active site for hydrogen production. The Pd‐doped Ni2P nanoparticles exhibited excellent electrocatalytic performance with an overpotential of 77 mV at 10 mA cm−2 in an alkaline electrolyte and a small Tafel slope of 46 mV dec−1. The one-pot synthesis strategy of Au@Pd dendrites nanoparticles (Au@Pd DNPs) was simply synthesized in a high-temperature aqueous solution condition where cetyltrimethylammonium chloride (CTAC) acted as a reducing and capping agent at a high temperature. The Au@Pd DNPs with highly monodisperse were shown in high yields by the Au:Pd rate. The nanostructure and optical and crystalline properties of the Au@Pd DNPs were characterized by UV–vis spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-ray diffraction. The Au@Pd DNPs showed an efficient electrochemical catalytic performance rate toward the ethanol oxidation reaction (EOR) due to their nanostructures and Au:Pd rate. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
