Ultra-Low temperature district heating introduces multiple benefits at network level, as the reduction of heat losses and the improvement of heat generation efficiency. ULTDH also facilitates the integration of low temperatures renewable energy sources and waste heat into the district heating network. This thesis concerns the use of mobile games in museums. It is discussed whether such digital games can contribute to a better and more interactive museum experience, thus making the museums themselves more interactive. The point was originally to answer the question why these games can be found in various Danish museums, since computer-games are not normally associated with the museum-world. Part of the thesis explains this by use of social-theoretical perspectives such as postmodernism and the experience economy. Theses perspectives demand, that museums change the communicative relation to their guests, visitors (or users). The relation must now be based on creating interactive experiences for the guests to enjoy, which is why museums are using mobile games as instruments for just that. The thesis takes the vantage point of a specific mobile game in a specific museum. This case is called “Koldkrigsspionen” and is an example of a mobile game in the newly reopened military bunker Ejbybunkeren. Ejbybunkeren is a part of the historical fortification of Copenhagen “Københavns Befæstning”, and the grand project to revitalize its institutions. I have conducted a series of interviews in this bunker with the museum visitors as they were playing the mobile game Koldkrigsspionen. Their experiences with the mobile game, has challenged existing preconceptions about computer-games, mobile phones, and experience-design in museums. For example whether the museum experience should involve learning, or how digital mobile technologies will affect the authenticity of museums. This amounts to a discussion of what can be considered the success-criteria for a good museum experience for everyone, and a critique of the interaction concept in current museum literature. For the sake of my own authenticity, it must be added, that the thesis, has neither the adequate empirical weight, nor the wish to disprove established theories about the subject. But let it be said, that prejudices and preconceptions were challenged about the potential of models for interaction- and experience design, which strive to be both generalizing and specific.
