Presentación de los objetivos y resultados de la quinta campaña del Proyecto de documentación, excavación y conservación de cámaras funerarias en Luxor (Egipto) ("Escribas del Reino Nuevo"), con motivo de la jornada "La arqueología del CSIC en el exterior: impacto social y retos de futuro" organizada por la Red Conexión-Arqueología CSIC y el Museo Arqueológico Nacional.

Nitric oxide is implicated in a variety of signaling pathways in different systems, notably in endothelial cells. Some of its effects can be exerted through covalent modifications of proteins and, among these modifications, increasing attention is being paid to S-nitrosylation as a signaling mechanism. In this work, we show by a variety of methods (ozone chemiluminescence, biotin switch, and mass spectrometry) that the molecular chaperone Hsp90 is a target of S-nitrosylation and identify a susceptible cysteine residue in the region of the C-terminal domain that interacts with endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS). We also show that the modification occurs in endothelial cells when they are treated with S-nitrosoL-cysteine and when they are exposed to eNOS activators. Hsp90 ATPase activity and its positive effect on eNOS activity are both inhibited by S-nitrosylation. [EN] The tomb of Djehutynefer, ‘royal scribe’, ‘overseer of the Treasury’, and ‘chief lector in the Good House’ during the reign of Thutmose III, was identified by Champollion in 1829, but its actual location was lost in the overcrowded Dra Abu el-Naga necropolis. Apart from the work of the French Egyptologist, mentions to this tomb can only be found in Rosellini, who moved the doorjambs and the lintel of this tomb to the Museum of Florence, and in Lise Manniche’s Lost Tombs (1988). The tomb was rediscovered in 2015 during the fourteenth campaign of the Spanish Mission at TT 11-TT 12. Djehutynefer was, presumably, the successor of Djehuty (owner of TT 11) in the position of ‘overseer of the Treasury’. It is noteworthy that the owner of this rediscovered tomb and that of TT11 shared the name, post and also had their tombs built in the same part of Dra Abu el-Naga. The rediscovery of the tomb, as well as the parallel lives of these two nobles, have established the principal motivation to carry out a thorough study on Djehutynefer., [ES] La tumba de Djehutynefer, 'escriba real', 'supervisor del Tesoro' y 'sacerdote lector y jefe de la casa de embalsamamiento' durante el reinado de Tutmosis III, fue identificada por Champollion en 1829, pero su ubicación exacta se perdió en la abarrotada necrópolis de Dra Abu el-Naga. Además del trabajo del egiptólogo francés, tenemos referencias a esta tumba por Rosellini, quien trasladó las jambas y el dintel de la tumba hasta el museo de Florencia, y en la obra de Lise Manniche Lost Tombs (1988). La tumba fue redescubierta en el año 2015 en el transcurso de la 14ª campaña del Proyecto Djehuty. Djehutynefer fue, presumiblemente, el sucesor de Djehuty (propietario de la TT 11) en el cargo de 'supervisor del Tesoro'. Aparte de compartir nombre y puesto, es destacable el hecho de que sus tumbas se encuentren separadas tan solo por unos metros de distancia en la misma zona de Dra Abu el-Naga. Tanto el redescubrimiento de esta tumba como las vidas paralelas de estos dos personajes han constituido la motivación principal para llevar a cabo un trabajo más exhaustivo sobre la figura de Djehutynefer.

El “Proyecto Djehuty” tiene como objetivo la excavación, restauración, publicación científica y divulgación de un conjunto de monumentos funerarios y enterramientos de individuos de clase media y alta, en la colina de Dra Abu el-Naga, en el extremo norte de la necrópolis de la antigua ciudad de Tebas, hoy Luxor, Egipto. Destacan las capillas-tumbas de Djehuty y de Hery, altos funcionarios al servicio de la administración real en torno al año 1500 a. C.
