We describe a computer-assisted program for conducting well-body assessments of children with neurodevelopmental disabilities attending a private special education school. Classroom instructors completed daily assessments to detect the presence of bodily injuries and other skin trauma, determine the need for medical treatment, and monitor healing status. Evaluations performed with the classroom instructors revealed that they implemented the program with high integrity and rated several procedural components favorably. Compared to “paper form” data recording, clinicians and supervisors judged the computer-assisted program to track student injuries more thoroughly and record student injuries more accurately. The importance of health monitoring among persons with neurodevelopmental disabilities, advantages of technology-based assessment methods, and practice considerations are discussed.

Philosophy is defined as the most basic assumptions, ideas and attitudes possessed by a person or society; views of life; (KBBI online). The local philosophy is more identical to the most basic inner attitudes possessed by a person or society. Along with the development of human civilization, science is increasingly advanced. The advancement of science and technology has had a significant impact on the almost fading of local culture and wisdom in society. The purpose of this research is to deeply analyze the meaning of the philosophy of " wise (kinaa), brave (baran)i, and smart (manarang)" as one of the Torajan local wisdoms that must be passed on from generation to generation. This research was conducted in 3 (three) stages. The first stage is to identify and initial interview the research subjects, namely people who are capable in terms of the Toraja language or those who understand the ins and outs of Toraja culture (Customary leaders). The second stage is to collect data through surveys and further interviews with relevant sources in connection with the three the philosophy of kina, barani and manarang of Toraja local wisdom. The third stage is to manage and analyze data sets and to conduct publications obtained from the results of surveys and interviews regarding the philosophy of kina, barani and manarang in Toraja local wisdom. Based on the results of research and discussion, it is concluded that kinaa contains the meaning of being virtuous, having good character, being helpful, not being selfish. Barani has the meaning of being brave in making decisions, ready to bear the risks of every action taken, daring to say wrong if wrong, and right if right, and having high integrity. Meanwhile, manarang means intelligent, clever, skilled, has broad insight, has a purpose in life, has a visionary spirit.

KH. Ma'ruf Irsyad is one of the Kiai from Kudus city who is very consistent and eager in fighting for the teachings of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah. Besides being active in the PCNU management of Kudus Regency, he also actively campaigned aswaja teachings through madrasa and majlis ta'lim. According to him, Aswaja is the best way to carry out Islamic teachings because Aswaja was pioneered by the Salaf scholars whose scientific sanad continued to the Prophet and his companions. Kiai Ma'ruf refused propaganda “back to the Qur'an and Hadith” because digging Islamic teachings from its immediate source is not an easy matter that can be done by just anyone. Without the tools of science and high integrity, exploring Islamic teachings directly from the source will actually lead to being lost and misleading. Therefore, the safest way to practice Islam is by following the salaf scholars. This article discusses the important points of the teachings of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah according to KH. Ma'ruf Irsyad Kudus. There are nine points presented by KH. Ma'ruf Irsyad about the Aswaja teachings, namely: using mizan al-syar'i, consistent with the truth, maintaining unity, following the salaf scholars, prioritizing the Shari'a rather than reason, the Shari'ah as a measure of good and bad, taqwa in all conditions, benefiting humans, doing sincerely.

Daily Behavior Report Cards (DBRCs) have been found to decrease disruptive behaviors of children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, intellectual and developmental disorders, and typically developing students. However, although previous studies indicate that peers can assist with the implementation of a variety of interventions (e.g., Check in check out), teachers are often the implementer of DBRCs. In addition, it appears that no studies evaluating DBRCs have included a functional assessment. Thus, the purposes of this study were to assess the effects of a peer-mediated DBRC on disruptive classroom behaviors, determine whether peers could implement their portion of the intervention procedures with high integrity, and assess whether DBRC was effective independent of the functional reinforcer for disruptive behavior. In this study, peer-mediated DBRC led to a decrease in disruptive behavior and an increase in on-task behavior for all three target students who were at risk for EBD. The peer mediators also implemented the DBRC procedures with high integrity. Furthermore, DBRC was effective at suppressing disruptive behavior independent of their presumed functional reinforcer. However, it does appear that different portions of the intervention likely addressed the hypothesized functions of problem behaviors of all three participants.

This article aims to examine the selection mechanism for village officials in the Indonesian Distinctive Region of Yogyakarta. This article will focus on the problem of the differences in the selection mechanism for village officials in Yogyakarta, particularly in Kulon Progo, Sleman, Bantul, and Gunung Kidul Districts. In this study, researchers use the theory of merit system, which means a system working based on competency performance and professionalism, which is open and provides opportunities and supports every employee to develop the best performance for the organization, which is a manifestation of change as well as coaching for every employee to create productivity and competence (Meyrina, 2016). The data are collected from four districts in Yogyakarta by series of observations to the implementation of regional regulations. The data are categorized and analyzed. This study concludes that the implementation of the merit system in the four districts is through open selection, which in practice has differences in the examination mechanism. This shows that in the application of the merit system there are variations from the four districts. Besides, another difference is the neutrality of the selection committee, which has different mechanisms between districts. One of them is collaborating with universities and third parties. This was done to maintain the neutrality of the committee and to create professional, competent, and high integrity of human resources.

This study investigates the association between employee quality and audit fee. Using data for firm‐level employee quality (as proxied by employee education) from Chinese listed firms from 2011 to 2018, we find that firms operated by high‐quality employees enjoy lower audit charges. The association between employee quality and audit fee is more pronounced in firms with a culture of high integrity. Our 2SLS estimation helps us establish a causal link between employee quality and audit fee. The final validity tests suggest that high‐quality employees contribute to lower audit fee by reducing audit risk and audit effort.

– This study has a purpose to know the impacts on leadership, official’s competence, organizational culture and participation of people toward the quality of integrated licensing services on trading business license (SIUP) in Bekasi City, West Java, Indonesia. Non�effectiveness of the implementation of integrated licensing services on SIUP in Bekasi City is a significant meaning of this study. The method of this study uses a quantitative approach as an instrument to collect data by making survey through questionnaire and field observation. In addition, secondary data is obtained from district government that is published through BPS and DPM�PTSP Bekasi. Then, this data is analized statistically by using multiple regression analysis. The result of study indicates that leadership, official’s competence, organizational culture and participation of the people, either partially or collectively, have significant impacts on the quality of integrated licensing services on trading business license (SIUP) in Bekasi City. Thus, in order to make the implementation of integrated services more effective, it needs effort to improve creative, active and innovative leadership and to have high integrity through education and training; improve the official’s competence through the improvement of analytical thinking capability; strengthen organizational culture through the improvement of innovation and detailed things as well as increase the involvement of people in integrated licensing services through socializations to the community and the use of communication media through e-government of Bekasi City. Inspired by the rampant digestive disorders and the vast bacterial infections, this study aimed at fabricating nanofibers made of inulin/polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) composite nanofibers (CNFs) using the electrospinning technique and testing their prebiotic and antibacterial activities. The inulin/PVA CNFs were tested for prebiotic activity with Lactobacillus species while Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) were used to assess the antibacterial potentiality. During the fabrication of the CNFs, different electrospinning parameters have been carefully controlled, in order to produce nanofibers with relatively uniform diameter, fewer beads, and high integrity. The different parameters included variable solution concentration (material ratio varied from 14 to 20 wt %), applied voltage (varied from 15 to 25 kV), and solution flow (ranged between 0.005 and 0.5 mL/min). The chemical characteristics, thermal stability, and morphology of the formed CNFs were comprehensively characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and scanning electron microscopy. Selected CNFs, showing the best diameter uniformity and integrity, were tested for the prebiotic and antimicrobial activity. A 38% increase in prebiotic activity of CNFs, compared to their bulk solution, was observed. The antibacterial activity of the selected CNFs was enhanced, from ∼40% (pure inulin) to 70% (inulin/PVA CNFs) against E. coli and 45% against S. aureus. This study investigates the prebiotic and antibacterial activities of PVA/inulin CNFs and provides the foundation for inulin/PVA CNF use in the healthcare sector, as in disinfectants and/or digestive disorders.

International audience; The emission of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2) is considered the most acute issue of the 21st century around the globe. Due to this fact, significant efforts have been made to develop rigorous techniques for reducing the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. Adsorption of CO2 in metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) is one of the efficient technologies for mitigating the high levels of emitted CO2. The main aim of this study is to examine the aptitudes of four advanced intelligent models, including multilayer perceptron (MLP) optimized with Levenberg-Marquardt (MLP-LMA) and Bayesian Regularization (MLP-BR), extreme learning machine (ELM), and genetic programming (GP) in predicting CO2 uptake in MOFs. A sufficiently widespread source of data was used from literature, including more than 500 measurements of CO2 uptake in13 MOFs with various pressures at two temperature values. The results showed that the implemented intelligent paradigms provide accurate estimations of CO2 uptake in MOFs. Besides, error analyses and comparison of the prediction performance revealed that the MLP-LMA model outperformed the other intelligent models and the prior paradigms in the literature. Moreover, the MLP-LMA model yielded an overall coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.9998 and average absolute relative deviation (AARD) of 0.9205%. Finally, the trend analysis confirmed the high integrity of the MLP-LMA model in prognosticating CO2 uptake in MOFs, and its predictions overlapped perfectly the measured values with changes in pressure and temperature.

The need for standardization is important for all sectors starting from industrial manufacturers to delivering it to the consumers. The acceptance of AM in all aspects of manufacturing is always subjected to a lack of additive manufacturing standards. This issue is always being addressed by an eminent group of researchers, and scientists and organizations over the last three decades for developing the desired qualified standards in additive manufacturing. However, ASTM) and ISO along with different research groups have been working with high integrity to resolve this aspect to a greater extent across all sectors. The current research signifies the adoption of standards between ASTM and ISO for enforcing it globally by law with the inculcation of common AM standards. This work emphasizes recent development carried by such organizations and projects, depending on pathways laid by the conductance of several workshops with a focus on developing new standards in this field.

OpenMP is traditionally focused on boosting performance in HPC systems. However, other domains are showing an increasing interest in the use of OpenMP by virtue of key aspects introduced in recent versions of the specification: the tasking model, the accelerator model, and other features like the requires and the assumes directives, which allow defining certain contracts. One example is the safety-critical embedded domain, where several efforts have been initiated towards the adoption of OpenMP. However, the OpenMP specification states that "application developers are responsible for correctly using the OpenMP API to produce a conforming program", being not acceptable in high integrity systems, where aspects such as reliability and resiliency have to be ensured at different levels of criticality. In this scope, programming languages like Ada propose a different paradigm by exposing fewer features to the user, and leaving the responsibility of safely exploiting the full underlying architecture to the compiler and the runtime systems, instead. The philosophy behind this kind of model is to move the responsibility of producing correct parallel programs from users to vendors. In this panel, actors from different domains involved in the use of parallel programming models for the development of high-integrity systems share their thoughts about this topic. Tree bark, an under-utilized forest residue, is renewable, abundant, and inexpensive; however, biorefinery of whole bark components for advanced utilizations is rather limited due to bark's inherently refractory characteristics: high integrity, complex composition, and high heterogeneity. Herein, we report an effective strategy to directly liquefy crude bark particles into a homogeneous bark oil while chain-extending through the originally inert bark hydroxyl groups to achieve an “OH-activated” state. These activated hydroxyl groups were then epoxidized and carbonated, accompanied by a chemical fixation of CO2 at 15.7 wt% in the resulting cyclic carbonate product. The hereby synthesized carbonate was used as a precursor to prepare non-isocyanate polyurethanes (NIPUs), which showed a wide range of mechanical properties depending on the type of amine-based crosslinker selected. The ability of tuning NIPUs to achieve targeted mechanical properties makes these NIPUs applicable for various industrial applications. The novel synthetic approach developed in this study has great potential to allow us to fully utilize waste bark biomass to produce valued-added environmentally friendly products with higher sustainability.

Background: High-throughput transcript sequencing plays an important role in the study of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) occurrence and development. High-quality biospecimens, especially high-quality RNA, are the most basic prerequisites for obtaining good transcript sequencing data. Our purpose was to explore the treatment conditions of in vitro ischemic tissue samples that can be used to obtain high-integrity RNA before freezing the samples in liquid nitrogen. Materials and Methods: Postoperative tumor tissues (T) and adjacent normal tissues (AN) from 50 HCC patients were randomly selected from May 5, 2017, to June 15, 2017. Postoperative tissue specimens from each HCC patient were stratified by tissue type (T or AN), ischemia time (minutes), and ischemia temperature (°C) into 16 groups: T-4°C-15 minutes, T-4°C-30 minutes, T-4°C-60 minutes, T-4°C-120 minutes, T-24°C-15 minutes, T-24°C-30 minutes, T-24°C-60 minutes, T-24°C-120 minutes, AN-4°C-15 minutes, AN-4°C-30 minutes, AN-4°C-60 minutes, AN-4°C-120 minutes, AN-24°C-15 minutes, AN-24°C-30 minutes, AN-24°C-60 minutes, and AN-24°C-120 minutes. RNA integrity was detected by RNA integrity number (RIN) and 1% agarose gel electrophoresis. Results: At an ischemia temperature of 4°C and ischemia time of >30 minutes, the RIN of T began to decrease. RIN also gradually decreased in T at an ischemia temperature of 4°C and in both T and AN at an ischemia temperature of 24°C for ischemia times 15, 30, 60, and 120 minutes. For an ischemia time ≤15 minutes and ischemia temperature 4°C or 24°C, the RINs of T and AN were significantly different. Furthermore, at ischemia temperature 4°C and ischemia time 30 and 60 minutes or ischemia temperature 24°C and ischemia time 30 minutes, the RIN of T was higher compared with AN. However, there was no significant difference in RIN between T and AN under other treatment conditions. Conclusions: Tissue quality is adversely affected by ischemia time and ischemia temperature. Therefore, temporary ischemia time (≤15 minutes) before snap freezing is key for maintaining high-integrity RNA in HCC tissues.

This study introduces powder interlayer bonding (PIB) as a novel joining technique, for the high integrity repair of components, fashioned from two titanium alloys commonly employed in the aerospace industry. The PIB technique in this study utilised a metallic powder interlayer between the two faying surfaces. Heating was provided via induction to create a bond in an inert atmosphere. The PIB technique proved capable of producing high integrity bonds in both Ti-6Al-4V and Ti-6Al-2Sn-4Zr-6Mo. A reduction of less than 10% in strength is seen for bonds created with both alloys. The deficit seen in ductility for the alloys was deemed acceptable for the industrial applications considered.

Due to the rapid spread of the COVID-19 disease, universities all over the world had to change their teaching strategy from on-campus education to online education. The change was dramatically sudden. This was not only a pedagogical challenge, but also an issue concerning e.g. the technical infrastructure, both at the universities as well as for the students. This summer term all our students studied online. However, half of the students in the M.Sc. program High Integrity Systems at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, were in Germany and studied online, whereas the other half of the students were stuck abroad and therefore studied online from other countries. We decided to compare the basic study conditions for online tuition for our students in Germany with our students abroad. The preliminary results are presented in this paper.

RNA sequencing offers unprecedented access to the transcriptome. Key to this is the identification and quantification of many different species of RNA from the same sample at the same time. In this study we describe a novel protocol for simultaneous detection of coding and non-coding transcripts using modifications to the Ion Total RNA-Seq kit v2 protocol, with integration of QIASeq FastSelect rRNA removal kit. We report highly consistent sequencing libraries can be produced from both frozen high integrity mouse hippocampal tissue and the more challenging post-mortem human tissue. Removal of rRNA using FastSelect was highly efficient, resulting in less than 1.5% rRNA content in the final library, significantly better than other reported rRNA removal techniques. We identified >30,000 unique transcripts from all samples, including protein-coding genes and many unique species of non-coding RNA, in biologically-relevant proportions. Furthermore, normalized sequencing read count for select genes significantly negatively correlated with Ct values from RT-qPCR analysis from the same samples. These results indicate that this protocol accurately and consistently identifies and quantifies a wide variety of transcripts simultaneously. The highly efficient rRNA depletion, coupled with minimized sample handling and without complicated and high-loss size selection protocols, makes this protocol useful to researchers wishing to investigate whole transcriptomes.

Such algorithms have been classically used for cleaning unlabelled data sets from potentially unwanted values. However, the ability to detect outlying values in data sets can also be used to detect anomalies in systems. Semi-supervised anomaly detection algorithms learn from data for known correct behavior. Such algorithms have been used in various fields, e.g., system security, fault detection, medical applications.In this paper, we use the Area Under the Receiver Operating Characteristic (AUROC) score to evaluate algorithms for semi-supervised anomaly detection when applied to high-integrity distributed digital systems. We identify the relevant parameter for each algorithm and observe how the parameter influences the score and the runtime.

Safety culture in railway companies is an important element of the safety management system. The human factor is the most significant for the safety of railway traffic because it is dominant and it is an important part of railway traffic safety. Statistic analysis of railway accidents is a clear indicator that the human factor is always a prevailing element and it is a common event, often related to the temporary unavailability of an instrumental system that should support human supervision. By implementation of ERTMS, it creates an interoperable railway system in Europe that is more efficient and safer. That system could fulfill its safety role it is necessary to ensure clear and effective instructions given to stuff which are very important for safety introduction with new and modified high integrity-based systems.

International audience; In the paper a fast and consistent method to manage uncertainties on detected traffic agents providing reliable results is presented. The information provided by a LiDAR-based object detector is combined with a high-definition map to identify the drivable space of the carriageway. Because the use of a HD map requires the use of a localization system, the uncertainty of the estimated pose shall be handled carefully. A novel approach taking into account the localization uncertainty in the perception task by direct propagation of it onto the LiDAR points is proposed. It is compared with a classical propagation that relies on linearized approximation. The good performances of this approach in terms of integrity are demonstrated by the use of real data acquired at the entrance of a roundabout being a particularly complex situation.

Cheating has become commonplace in academia and beyond. Yet, almost everyone views themselves favorably, believing that they are honest, trustworthy, and of high integrity. We investigate one possible explanation for this apparent discrepancy between people’s actions and their favorable self-concepts: People who cheat on tests believe that they knew the answers all along. We found consistent correlational evidence across three studies that, for those particular cases in which participants likely cheated, they were more likely to report that they knew the answers all along. Experimentally, we then found that participants were more likely to later claim that they knew the answers all along after having the opportunity to cheat to find the correct answers – relative to exposure to the correct answers without the opportunity to cheat. These findings provide new insights into relationships between memory, metacognition, and the self-concept.

Police misconduct is a serious concern to scholars, police administrators, the media, and the general public. For a variety of reasons, a direct approach to the study of police misconduct poses considerable challenges. To ameliorate research hindrances, an alternative approach has been developed, focusing instead on its complement—police integrity. This chapter presents the theory of police integrity and the accompanying methodology. Each of the four dimensions of the theory, from the emphasis on official rules, curtailing of the code of silence, and the reliance on the internal control efforts, to the influence of the society at large, is described in detail. This chapter describes what an agency of high integrity should be doing along each of these dimensions. Next, a comprehensive account of the methodology has been presented and the two versions of the questionnaire described. The chapter also includes an extensive literature review of the studies that utilized the two questionnaires.

Exosomes are essential early biomarkers for health monitoring and cancer diagnosis. A prerequisite for further investigation of exosomes is the isolation, which is technically challenging due to the complexity of body fluids. This paper presents the development of an integrated microfluidic chip for exosomes isolation, which combines the traditional immunomagnetic bead-based protocol and the recently emerging microfluidic approach, resulting in benefits from both the high-purity of the former and the automated continuous superiority of the latter. The chip was designed based on an S-shaped micromixer with embedded baffle. The excellent mixing efficiency of this micromixer compared with Y-shaped and S-shaped micromixers was verified by simulation and experiments. The photolithography technique was employed to fabricate the integrated microfluidic chip, and the manufacturing process was elucidated. We finally established an experimental platform for exosomes isolation with the fabricated microfluidic chip built in. Exosomes isolation experiments were conducted using this platform. The distribution and morphology of the isolated exosomes were observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Quantitative size analyses based on transmission electron micrographs indicated that most of the obtained particles were between 30 and 150 nm. Western blot analyses of the isolated exosomes and the serum were conducted to verify the platform&rsquo, s capability of isolating a certain subpopulation of exosomes corresponding to specified protein markers (CD63). The complete time for isolation of 150 &mu, L serum samples was approximately 50 min, which was highly competitive with the reported existing protocols. Experimental results proved the capacity of the established integrated microfluidic chip for exosomes isolation with high purity, high integrity, and excellent efficiency. The platform can be further developed to make it possible for practical use in clinical applications as a universal exosomes isolation and characterization tool.

Introduction:. Comprehensive mRNA sequencing is a powerful tool for conducting unbiased, quantitative differential gene expression analysis. However, the reliability of these data is contingent on the extraction of high-quality RNA from samples. Preserving RNA integrity during extraction can be problematic, especially in tissues such as skin with dense, connective matrices and elevated ribonuclease expression. This is a major barrier to understanding the influences of altered gene expression in many preclinical pain models and clinical pain disorders where skin is the site of tissue injury. Objective:. This study developed and evaluated extraction protocols for skin and other tissues to maximize recovery of high-integrity RNA needed for quantitative mRNA sequencing. Methods:. Rodent and human tissue samples underwent one of the several different protocols that combined either RNA-stabilizing solution or snap-freezing with bead milling or cryosectioning. Indices of RNA integrity and purity were assessed for all samples. Results:. Extraction of high-integrity RNA is highly dependent on the methods used. Bead-milling skin collected in RNA-stabilizing solution resulted in extensive RNA degradation. Snap-freezing in liquid nitrogen was required for skin and highly preferable for other tissues. Skin also required cryosectioning to achieve effective penetration of RNA-stabilizing solution to preserve RNA integrity, whereas bead milling could be used instead with other tissues. Each method was reproducible across multiple experimenters. Electrophoretic anomalies that skewed RNA integrity value assignment required manual correction and often resulted in score reduction. Conclusion:. To achieve the potential of quantitative differential gene expression analysis requires verification of tissue-dependent extraction methods that yield high-integrity RNA.

Changes in society have positioned companies as highly relevant actors in the satisfaction of people’s needs. Thus, new challenges and opportunities for companies around the world are posed. Corporate sustainability refers to the set of practices necessary for adequately addressing those challenges and seizing such opportunities. Based on a systematic study of relevant literature and considering the conditions of Latin American economies, this article suggests concrete, realistic, and context-specific practices that may contribute to making companies in the continent sustainable from a corporate standpoint. These practices prioritize business management based on principles of high performance, high integrity, and sound risk management.

We demonstrate that accusations harm trust in targets, but boost trust in the accuser when the accusation signals that the accuser has high integrity. Compared to individuals who did not accuse targets of engaging in unethical behavior, accusers engendered greater trust when observers perceived the accusation to be motivated by a desire to defend moral norms, rather than by a desire to advance ulterior motives. We also found that the accuser’s moral hypocrisy, the accusation's revealed veracity, and the target’s intentions when committing the unethical act moderate the trust benefits conferred to accusers. Taken together, we find that accusations have important interpersonal consequences.

The leader is essentially someone who has the ability to influence the behavior of others in the work by using power. Morally, leadership is closely related to the duties and functions of human beings on this earth. Among the duties and functions of his birth into this world is to preserve and utilize natural resources for the welfare of mankind. Man is created as the caliph of God on earth. In the Qur'an described that a good leader is for the good society as well. In other words, a good society can only be led and only requires a good leader as well. Moral society will determine the moral leader who has high integrity.

Aged soybean seeds show widespread cleavage of long mRNA transcripts with no particular relationship to transcript function, consistent with extant hypotheses of aging mechanisms., Seeds exist in the vulnerable state of being unable to repair the chemical degradation all organisms suffer, which slowly ages seeds and eventually results in death. Proposed seed aging mechanisms involve all classes of biological molecules, and degradation of total RNA has been detected contemporaneously with viability loss in dry-stored seeds. To identify changes specific to mRNA, we examined the soybean (Glycine max) seed transcriptome, using new, whole-molecule sequencing technology. We detected strong evidence of transcript fragmentation in 23-year-old, compared with 2-year-old, seeds. Transcripts were broken non-specifically, and greater fragmentation occurred in longer transcripts, consistent with the proposed mechanism of molecular fission by free radical attack at random bases. Seeds died despite high integrity of short transcripts, indicating that functions encoded by short transcripts are not sufficient to maintain viability. This study provides an approach to probe the asymptomatic phase of seed aging, namely by quantifying transcript degradation as a function of storage time.
